I couldn't breathe. Just the sentence that Kibum had blurted out, telling me that it has started gave me almost a heartattack.

"YOU HAVE TO LET ME GO NOW!!"

Kibum sighed and sat down on the couch as I kept pulling the bloody damn handcuff

"I am... Not" He said and poured himself a glass of wine

"You can't hold me here against my will!!"

"I am aren't I?" He smiled

"HOW CAN YOU BE SO HAPPY, SMIRKING AND BEING SO FREAKING SARCASTIC AT THIS TIME OF HOUR!?!??!" I shouted angrily while tears started to stroll down my face

Kibum rolled his eyes

"Someone has to be heartless right now"

"You've always been heartless haven't you?"

"I loved once. And I will never do that again"

"That is where you are wrong!"

Kibum looked at me angrily

"Wrong? Please explain because I just don't have anything else to do but to listen to your pathetic excuses of wanting to save the day and help Jae when you easily would just give him more pain by end up dying since you're just a fragile little human"

I felt the anger boil inside of me. So what if I was a human? So what if I wasn't strong enough? Fast enough? Skilled in fighting? I had courage didn't I? And the main reasonf or me wanting to get away from here is that I just wanted to be where JaeJoong and the guys are. Somehow trying tos top them, even if I died on the way.

"You love JaeJoong as a brother and you cherish him. All of them, or else you wouldn't be here" I said sadly

"True"

"Kibum..."

"Now what?" He said, his irritation building up as I kept talking

"You should leave me here and help them" I whispered, falling down on my knees

I felt Kibum stopping wandering around and he spun around and stared down at me

"HUh?"

"You heard me" I said sadly

I met Kibum's eyes that were totally black at the moment. His face slowly changed to normal as he looked at me and for a second I thought I saw him expressing sympathy

"I'd rather have you there with them fighting because that would give them a bigger chance of winning and survival than having you here and guarding me and doing nothing but waiting for a call that might never come. Please..."

It sounded like I was pleading, begging for him to leave. It was true wasn't it? That would give them a better chance at winning and there would be some hope at least. I wasn't underestimating them.. but I couldn't underestimate Yuri either. She was smart, clever and she had lived for so long already. She had everything planned out

"I can't leave. I promised Jae"

I sighed, tears falling as I closed my eyes

"Is there no hope then?" I whispered

"Why are you already mourning? You're not serious are you?"

"I am deadly serious !!! IF I ,..."

Kibum suddenly stiffened and I think I heard something too. Kibum was beside me, in a second as he listened with concentration. What was going on? I heard my heart beating faster and faster for every second that was passing. I didn't even dare to breathe

"Someone.. is ... here" He whispered

I swallowed hard

"How? We're miles away" I whispered

"We were tracked or.. followed"

I heard the anger in Kibum's words, angry at himself for being careless not checking if we were followed or not. His face changed as his darkened and he crouched before me

"2 vampires" He whispered

I swallowed hard.

Kibum unlocked my handcuff quiuckly and I was handed vervain water in a small bottle and a gun with wooden bullets

"You know what you have to do right?" He asked

I nodded

"And if you are.. hurt.. no I mean, just try to keep yourself in one piece"

"I can't.. guarantee that.." I stuttered

Kibum rolled his eyes

"Then give me your permission. If you are hurt and close... really close to dying. Should I give you my blood or not?"

I swallowed hard

"But by providing me your blood"

"Will heal you"

"But... if I die again"

"You have a choice. Die or become a vampire"

"I've never thought about that"

"Well you have to because now isn't re..."

The window was suddenly smashed and a bomb was thrown inside. Kibum took me immediately in his arms and without even thinking he got outside the house and ran for his life. I heard the explosion but I wasn't able to see it due to Kibum running

I suddenly fell down onto the ground and hit a tree as I hit my head. Headache attacked me at once but I opened my eyes, hearing growling and shouting. I saw Kibum fighting against two vampires and I found myself not being able to help him if I were planning on sitting here and enjoying the headache that had appeared

I got up on my two feet, still a bit dizzy but gathered myself together as I watched Kibum tossing one of the vampires across the woods and he hit a tree and knocked it into half as he landed down on the ground. I saw my chance and pointed the gun at the vampire that was slowly getting himself up

And I fired off

The vampire's scream was like nails against the black board. I shot once again, forcing myself to ignore the scream as I fired off another bullet. The vampire was rolling around, growling and screaming in pain.

I had to stake him too. I looked around for a treelimb, anything that would match up to a stake and as soon as I found one I ran over to him, gathering my courage as I tried to think of doing this fast. The vampire saw me but he was unable to move due to the pain that had taken over him fully

"Where.. is JaeJoong?"

The vampire didn't answer but kept growling in pain

I was crying, shaking at the same time but I had to do this. I had to know where they are

I took out the gun once again and fired off another bullet which left him screaming even louder

"Mansion!! MANSION!"

As I got my answer I felt all of my strength gearing up inside of me and then.. I staked him

I heard the last breath of the vampire and then his face changed, his eyes rolled my back and his skin color darkened.

I looked up to see Kibum still fighting the other vampire. Apparently this other vampire was stronger than the one I just killed but Kibum was focused all the time and he couldn't even touch him

I felt something wet dripping down from my head, my back getting somewhat wet than earlier and as my fingers checked it, I saw the blood of mine painting my fingers. I swallowed hard

Kibum tossed the vampire, against a tree and a treelimb went through his body as he screamed in pain. Kibum then grabbed a stake and got closer to him and staked him without even looking at him. Even though I staked one just a minute ago, I had to look away cause for some reason, it seemed to be more brutal when Kibum did that

Kibum was a second after beside me and I knew he could smell my blood

"Well maybe you're not so bad afterall" He shrugged and looked down on the vampire

I felt myself becoming dizzy while laughing and I fell down on my knees, collapsing. Kibum caught me before I could hit the ground and I felt him holding his breath in order to not smell my blood

"It must be really hard for you to keep yourself in one piece" He sighed

He took out a towel inside his jacket, a very small one and gently put it against the back of my head. He then lifted me up and carried me, walking at first but suddenly he started to run

"Why are you running?" I whispered

"I don't think that's the end of them. There's more coming. And with you hurt, they can smell your blood miles away since they doesn't seem to be so immune to the blood"

"And you are?"

"Well I've already eaten. I'm full for now besides, I don't want to drink your blood when you willingly gave it to Jae"

"What about it?"

Kibum stopped after running for a couple of minutes, close to a stream he put me down right beside him and dipped the towel into the water

"You did something for him that I thought a human would never do. Be giving him your blood, is like bonding"

"And... the conclusion of that is..."

"You're already taken and.. well.. I don't want your blood" Kibum said while laughing

I rolled my eyes

The pain started to subside but my dizziness was there all the time

"How are you feeling?"

"Tired.. and dizzy"

He nodded

Minutes passed as he took care of the wound and nothing could be heard except the water streaming down in the wood

"Do you want me to become a vampire?" I asked

Kibum stopped wiping away the blood and looked at me

"Not me.. but for your own good"

"How is it helpful to me?"

"You'll be equal to the guys and most importantly, JaeJoong. But that is your choice and no one else's"

"But by becoming a vampire I would kill people"

"JaeJoong wouldn't let you do that"

"Would I still be myself?"

"It won't be so much of a difference. Except that you will get stronger, faster and you won't be a desire and a temptation for any of us" He mumbled

"Jae would hate me if I chose the life of a vampire"

"It's not his choice to make"

"But by becoming one.."

"You would have to leave your old life behind"

"... But.."

"Every choice has sacrifices. Some are heavier than other. I know the guys doesn't want you to become a vampire because that would be like giving yourself to the devil if I should quote Jae. But we make our own decisions in life. We decide what we want to sacrifice. And the way I see it at the moment, you'll end up dead if  you stay as a human" Kibum said

I swallowed hard

"Because Yuri will be hunting me.."

"Until Jae or anyone stakes her through the heart. She is a girl of revenge. She won't give up"

I sighed

"What choices do I have?"

"Well stay as a human and run for the rest of your life. Or drink vampire blood and let destiny decide. Either way, I'm pretty sure the guys will take care of you and help you"

Kibum stiffened for the second time this night and I was lifted up and carried by him the next second and he started to run

"Time is running out for you" He whispered while running

"How many are they?"

"3 this time"

I held onto Kibum tighter and he took a better hold of me as he speeded up

I had no idea what choice I should make but I didn't want to make a lifechanging decision at this time of hour. This was definitely not the right time. So much sacrifices for one choice. But does it really have to be that way? Leaving aunt, Uncle, my friends and everything behind?

I didn't have to right?

"I can't make a decision like that in  a situation like this" I whispered, the anxiety growing inside my chest

"I know but sometimes, these kinds of situations pushes you further and you think more and really makes a decision instead of delaying it"

I swallowed hard

"Either way, you're running out of time"
