"Someone looks awfully happy today" Changmin said as soon as I entered the kitchen

I smiled even wider

"I'm always happy"

"Not happy like this" Yoochun chuckled playfully

"oh come one Guys, he's just burying his own grave by having with her" Kibum rolled his eyes from the corner of the room, having his feet on the dining table while drinking blood

"Shut up" I said, glaring at him

"How was it? Lovely? Exciting? Did you lose the control? Did you kill her?" Kibum asked

"KIBUM!" Changmin growled angrily

"I drank her blood" I said and looked at Kibum

He spit his blood out and stood up and then stared at me in shock.

"You did what?" Yunho asked

I swallowed hard

"I drank her blood. And she.. let me"

"You.. fed.. on Yumi? Have you gone insane?!" Yoochun shouted

"She... allowed me. She wanted me to and.. she even provoked me and then.. she.. I don't know. But it was.. amazing nevertheless" I said

"He looks like he's a newborn again" Junsu mumbled

The silence took over and then everyone burst out into laughter except for Kibum. He seemed to still be in shock

"How is it possible? How could you even stop yourself? All those feelings, the craving, the hunger, the senses?!" Yunho asked, fascinated

I sat down and shrugged

"I don't know. I thought it was impossible and i was angry at her at first but I did drink her blood and it was.. amazing. It's irresistible. But I managed to somehow.. pull myself through it. I really love her.. enough to be careful with not.. killing her" I said, amazed by my own strength

"She actually let you?" Changmin asked again

I nodded

"And it was different. She didn't scream out of the pain or cry when my teeth got through her skin. It was as if our bodies were one. It's.. I can't even describe it" I mumbled

"Amazing" Yoochun mumbled

"It's more than that" I smiled

"I guess. I only remember the feeling whenever the blood makes the cravings and the thirst disappear and.. about.. making love. Those two things combined, it sounds so.. twisted yet amusing" Yoochun said

I nodded

"But I'm glad none of you were in the mansion at least" I smiled

All of them chuckled

"So I heard she wanted waffles for breakfast?" Junsu asked

I nodded

"i already prepared it" Changmin said happily

"Nice!"

We soon heard her light steps down the staircase and as soon as she entered she was greeted by Changmin first as always. I looked at the happy smiling face of my girlfriend and my brothers that was bonded to me through our nature. How would it feel like if we actually were.. a family.. humans?

I swallowed hard at the thought of it. I didn't know how it would feel like but I knew that Yumi was at least able to make me feel like I was human again.

She really was the main factor in this mansion, the main engine to keep us living day by day, keeping us happy and just by having her where we were, it made our day, we would smile entirely and most of all, we would feel more and more like humans.

"SOS"

Kibum's voice was heard and I stopped laughing and stood up. Yumi stopped eating her waffles, unsure of what was going on. I guess me and the other guys were the only ones who heard

I ran fast to the front door to find Kibum standing there, looking a bit worried which was very unlike him

"What's wrong?" I asked

"We have .. a major problem" Kibum said

"What?" I asked

Kibum pointed at the front door and I opened it only to see 1 vampire body. It was burned right in front of the staircase of the mansion. And there was a sign on it as well

"Jae? What's wrong?" Yumi asked, trying to get through since the guys were blocking the way

I walked out of the mansion but did not let Yumi get out as I nodded at Yunho who assured me that he wasn't going to let her out of the mansion. I walked closer to the body and I saw the sign on it

"I wish you a painful death along with your precious Yumi"

I ran back into the mansion before anyone had time to say anything and I closed the door instantly as I walked into the livingroom, followed by a very confused and worried Yumi, the guys who was kind of understanding what was going on and Kibum who were just.. sarcastic as always

"What was that thing.. out there?" Yumi asked

I swallowed hard and spun around to meet her sad eyes.

Hurt and pained by the thought of knowing that I wouldn't be able to keep this from her, changing the wonderful atmosphere into a serious one. I felt like I was the cultprit in the movie at the moment

"What is wrong Jae?" Yumi asked and caressed my cheek

"It was a warning from Yuri" I mumbled

"A... warning?" She stuttered

I nodded

"What.. kind of warning? Jae.. don't tell me.. that was.."

"A burned vampire. He was burned by the sun" Yunho answered in my place

"Burned by the sun?" she asked confused

"As in he didn't have a protection from the sun. We're vampires remember? Some of us got lucky to have a charmed ring or whatever on us so that we can walk in daylight. Not all vampires are lucky" Kibum said

"Do not provoke me right now" I growled angrily at Kibum

"Why? It's gonna happen anyway. You need to kill her now before it's too late" Kibum said

The silence once again took over and I sighed heavily, knowing that Kibum was right, no matter how much I hated him, I couldn't hate the fact that he was right, saying the thought that we were all thinking. At first Yumi were on her death list but now I was added to it as well. not that I mind, but it would be better if it was just me..

"And another thing.. you should get rid of that body before it starts to smell" Kibum said and looked through the curtain

"We'll deal with it later" I said angrily

"I don't think that is such a good idea" Kibum said

"Why?" Changmin asked

"Cause that may attract some humans which isn't good for any of us"

"He's right" Yoochun said

I sighed

"Jae? What did the sign say?" Yumi asked

Seems like it took her a lot of courage before she could ask me that because her heart was beating faster by the minute and I hadn't noticed her worn out expression on her face. I guess this problem with Yuri did make her exhausted

I sighed and walked over to her

"It's nothing important" I mumbled

"It is to me, anything that she says will happen!" Yumi said frustrated

"You don't have to worry about this, this is not your family or friends.. "

Yumi's eyes widened as she realized. She swallowed hard and then she took off. All of us speeded off to stop her. But she refused to stop and pushed her way through and opened the front door and ran down to the dead vampire body and read the sign

Yunho ran outside and carried her inside and soon we were in the kitchen, Yumi being all torned up as she was breathing faster and faster, trying to control her emotions

"She's threatening You!" Yumi said

I stayed quiet

"She wants you dead..." Yumi whispered, not believing the sign

"I'm already dead" I said

Yumi stared at me angrily and I knew that was pretty stupid of me to even say that but I couldn't hold it back

"So you're saying that you would love to die again?" She asked

"If it means that I can protect you so yes"

"You will not.. die for me. ANY OF YOU!" She shouted angrily

"We're vampires" Yunho said

"BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU'RE NOT WEAK!" She shouted angrier at us

"But we have a chance" I said, trying to persuade her

"TO DIE! YOU'RE ON HER LIST!!! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT SHE'S TRYING TO PROVOKE YOU IN ORDER TO KILL YOU?!"

"I know that"

Yumi stared at me disbelivingly while tears suddenly started to stream down

"And you're just going to walk into her trap? Just like that?"

"If it means protecting you.."

"STOP IT ! YOU'RE NOT GONNA DIE BECAUSE OF ME!" Yumi shouted

"Yumi listen.. we.."

"NO! I REFUSE TO LOSE YOU!! YOU HEAR ME?!" Yumi shouted

I stayed silent

"I'm not gonna let.. any of you die.. just because so that I can stay alive. I will bear the burden of knowing that you sacrificed yourself for me and I refuse to let anyone of you die just because she felt like killing"

"We have a reason to die for" Changmin said

"No you don't!" Yumi said

"Yes we do" I whispered

"You keep telling yourself that but you're selfish. All of you" She spoke, with sudden calmness but there was still frustration and anger in her voice

"She wants you dead because you killed her lover. She wants me to suffer. And she wants to kill me to let you suffer. Either way, she's gonna kill the both of us. And in the end all of you"

"She's one against 5" I said

"Do not underestimate her Jae" Yumi said

"I'm not"

She kept staring at me as I walked over to her and took both of her hands in my own

"But if I wasn't meant to protect you, to love you and to live this long to sacrifice myself for you, then what was I meant to do?" I asked

"To make my life complete with you being here" She whispered hurtfully

I swallowed hard

"I will not let.. any of you sacrifice yourself for me" She whispered again

I sighed

"We're not gonna die"

"But the possibility is there" She said stubbornly

"But she will be the one who's gonna die" I said and wiped away her tears

"How do you know that for sure?" She asked

"Because I will not leave you. So promise me you won't leave me either"
