I was sitting on the bed in the guestroom as Yumi were resting on the bed. She was awfully weak and her skin was paler than ever. She had lost her color in her cheeks and now she just looked like a ghost. I was hoping that my blood was able to help her somehow but all it did was helping Yumi's wound to heal a bit faster. Maybe I should have forced her to drink more of my own blood

I sighed heavily as I watched her lying in bed, fighting against tiredness and the weakness of the body but only in vain. She was unable to do anything. She had to rest no matter how much she wanted to stay awake and talk to Donghae cause apparently he had left out the one and tiny detail about him becoming a vampire

"I hope you managed to cover it up" I said as I heard Donghae enter

The scent of his body was easy to recognize now

"I did more than you could have ever done" He snapped coldly

"Hyung? How is she?" Changmin asked as he entered along with the rest of the guys

Seems like Changmin brought a tray along with some fruits and a glass of water just in case Yumi was awake. But she had been like this ever since we got home. She was too weak to speak and even a whisper was taking the strength out of her, it was too much for her body to handle

"She's still the same" I whispered and put her hair behind her ear as I saw the wound that now was patched up. I don't think she would ever be able to get rid of the bite mark that would now apparently leave a scar. Maybe.. that's why the invented make-up. It's a girl's best friend isn't it?

"You can blame me all you want but I did not make this happen on purpose" Donghae said

"We did not ask for your opinion" I snapped coldly

Donghae let out a sigh

"I do not wish her harm" He whispered

"And so do we. At least we're the ones who's making an effort of trying to protect her" I said and stood up, looking at Donghae

Donghae glared at me but like I care. I was way stronger than he was and I was definitely better than he was, in every aspect

"I did not do this on purpose. It was a mistake to leave her behind. I didn't know that someone.. was after her.. or that there even was vampires in this town.." He said

"There's no use in trying to explain yourself. What have happened has already happened. Let's just focus on getting Yumi better" Yunho said

I sighed

"How is it? Is she doing okay? Maybe we should get some blood for her" Changmin said worriedly as he walked over to her side of the bed and sat down and looked at her

"There's no use in doing that. It'll take time. She needs to rest that's it. I'm sure that with some sleep and water she'll be fine soon. But she has to take it easy" I said

"Who.. turned you?"

Yoochun's sudden question directed to Donghae caught all of us by surprise and Donghae had a expressionless face as he kept looking at Yumi as if he was longing for her to get better. Seems like he cared more than he wanted us to know. Good thing for me I was able to read him so easily

"I was attacked by a girl on my way home from a party" Donghae said simply

"Someone you know?" Junsu asked

"What a stupid question. Seriously, you think I would be hanging out with vampires?" He said and looked angrily at Junsu

"You never know" Junsu shrugged

"No, I didn't know her. I hate her. If I ever find her someday, she'll die by my hands" Donghae said

"You saw her face?" Yunho asked

"She had long hair, amazing features and a gorgeous body. That was it. A birthmark from her human days was also there.. she had one on her hand" Donghae shrugged

"Seems like an interesting person" I said coldly

"Keep your comments to yourself" Donghae said

"My Mansion. Free country" I said

"" Donghae muttered

Some movements were being made in the bed and all of us looked at Yumi who was slowly opening her eyes as she looked around a bit confused, tiredly yes, but confused. She looked so fragile after the attack and I had a big hole inside of my chest, filled with regret and guilt about us not reaching there in time before that vampire started to feed on her

Yumi didn't say anything but she looked around slowly, turning her head slowly and her eyes soon landed on me.

"You're... okay? You're hurt?" I asked and looked at her

She shook her head slowly as she blinked her eyes tiredly

"You're.. okay?"

Her whisper was quiet, for human ears that would be impossible for them to hear but lucky, all of us heard it

"Me?" I asked

She nodded

"All of you" She whispered

"We're... fine.. You're the one who isn't" I said a bit shocked by her sudden question

"My blood...is.. goo  .. ne right?" She breathed heavily

"Maybe you shouldn't talk.. rest as much as possible" Yoochun suggested

A forced smile appeared on her lips as she shook her head lightly

"I'm.. f... in..e" She whispered

"You shouldn't be worrying about us" I said and looked at her

She turned herself to me

"It must be hard for you guys to take care of me.. with... so much... blood.. everywhere. It's okay.. take me home. and I'll rest" She said

That sentence took her 1 minute and exactly 45 seconds to say. Awfully long if you ask me

"Maybe you should spent the night here.. it's easier that way..." Changmin said

"She should not!" Donghae protested

"And why is that?" I asked angrily

"Cause I have no good explanation for her aunt and uncle then. I told them to go on ahead with the dinner since we wouldn't be joining them. I have to take her back, they'll hate me otherwise" Donghae said

"Better for us" I shrugged not caring

I heard Donghae folding his fist

I chuckled

"Let's fight when Yumi is not around" I said and rolled my eyes

"Don't.. argue" Yumi mumbled

Suddenly she attempted, and tried to sit up but I was quick and was right behind her as she leaned onto me out of exhaustion. Her face was getting paler by the minute and I started to wonder if something really was wrong. Maybe she should be taken to a hospital

"You.. look so weak.. lie down.. please?" I whispered and looked at her

She didn't answer, instead her head fell onto my chest, leaning herself against me and I looked down at her a bit surprised as she breathed heavily in order to get some oxygen

"We should go, she needs to rest" Yunho said

"Call if there's anything you need Hyung.." Changmin said

"You can stay here and watch over her. With that vampire out of the way, I'm sure we will get some peace and quiet

"He's going... to sleep.. with her?" Donghae asked, gritting his teeth angrily

I glared at him

"Do we even sleep?" I snapped coldly

Donghae was about to run towards me since he wanted to fight but Yunho was quick with stopping him

"NOT NOW! Yumi" Yunho glared at Donghae as well and Donghae had to push his anger aside as Yumi was the first priority at the moment

The guys soon left and I crawled my way slowly and easy over to the bedframe, leaning myself against the wall as Yumi was resting in my arms. I tucked her in with the blanket and started to caress her hair lightly as I listened to her heartbeat

"Donghae's.. a vampire" She whispered

That wasn't a question but more like.. she just realized the truth

I sighed

"I'm so sorry" I said, my voice full of sorrow and pitiness

A sting of jealousy and a bit of anxiety grew inside of my chest as I was listening to her mumbling over and over about Donghae being a vampire. But how could I blame her?

Living your life as a vampire would not only make the people around you suffer, the one who would be suffering the most was yourself. Trust me .. I know

I had so many questions to ask, so many answers that I wanted her to tell me but it was impossible now because of her current health. I sighed heavily as I looked down at her..

A feeling of sadness came onto me and I couldn't find the reason, why I was feeling like this. But no matter how much i thought about it, it was somehow related to Yumi.. because otherwise.. I don't believe this feeling would have appeared if she wasn't.. here
