As I had dropped Yumi off, I speeded up on the familiar highway, back to the mansion as I felt that something wasn't.. really right at the moment.

When I had parked the car right outside I got out of the car only to hear Changmin speaking to me from the inside

"Hyung?" He asked

"It's me"

I speeded off and in a second I was in the livingroom only to meet the rest of them, all of them with serious expressions, Yunho standing by the open fireplace, Changmin leaning against the bookshelf, Junsu sitting along with Yoochun

"You dropped off Yumi?" Yunho asked

"Yeah, what about it?" I asked and poured myself a glass of whiskey

"Do you think she's being suspicious of us?" Yunho asked

The question kind of took me by surprise but that wasn't the only thing. I noticed Changmin's sad expression and it was clearly that it had to do something with Changmin

"Changmin, what did you say to her today? She was upset" I said and looked at him

"I didn't say anything" He said

"Anything? Don't lie" I said

"No, that's the thing, I didn't say anything and she has already assumed that we're lying to her" Changmin said

"Which we are" Yunho said

"It's for her own good" Yoochun

"But who are we to judge that?" Changmin asked

"This is not only a matter that concerns only her. Other people might be in danger" Yunho said

"Since she saw that vampire" Yoochun said

"Yes and what makes you think that she won't talk?" Junsu said

"Because she's not like that" Changmin said

"You've only met her a few times Changmin" I said slowly, but I did understand where he was going

"I just don't want to lie to her" Changmin said sadly

I sighed

"This is not only to protect her, this is also for us. It's for her own good" I said

"I know but I just don't want to loose a friend. It's already hard as it is since we're not really able to make any friends" Changmin said

"I'm pretty sure you have plenty of friends" Yoochun encouraged

"But she's different" Changmin protested

"Everyone is" I said

Changmin stopped his gaze at me, somehow seeing through me because I knew exactly what he was talking about. She was different in a way, hard to read, hard to predict but her kindness and just her presence were somehow able to make people around her somewhat happier. I don't  know, I just couldn't put my finger on it

I sighed as I broke the eyecontact with Changmin

"Now to the question. I found a track earlier, it's vampire blood. I'm pretty sure he's around here somewhere so how about four of us go and 1 of us guard Yumi's house just in case? So far she's the only victim that hasn't been killed by this vampire" Yunho suggested

"I don't mind going" Changmin shrugged

I looked at him as I saw him looking back at me

"Or do you want to go?" Changmin asked me

I shrugged

"I don't mind either"

"Then you go. I should get my mind on something else besides feeling guilty for lying to Yumi" Changmin said

"We are forced to lie Changmin ah~ That's the only way to protect ourselves.." Yoochun said

"Not only ourselves but also Yumi" Junsu agreed

"But I just feel guilty for lying" Changmin mumbled

I wasn't sure if I wanted to drive again, drive back to the place where the accident took place not too long ago. I wasn't sure if this is what I wanted but maybe I could get a clue or too in order to find something, something that would help me find the answers to all of my questions. Afterall, if the guy's weren't going to tell me, then I'll just have to figure it out on my own right?

I slowly walked towards the school, across the lawn as the darkness was getting closer. I took a deep breath as I got inside and started the engine and with shaky hands I started to drive, backing out from the driveway and out on the road

I was breathing heavily indeed but I wasn't really sure what I was going to find because I just had a strange feeling that something might happen..

After driving for 25 minutes I finally recognized the spot where I had been upside down in the car. I stopped at the sideline of the highway and slowly walked towards it as I could hear my own shoes hitting the ground. Nothing else could be heard except the sound of my shoes, my breathing and my heart beating rapidly

I stopped in the middle as I looked down on the spot and not could I see one single sign of me having the car rolling around. No marks, not a single scratch. I flashed the light back as I remembered the man that had been walking down this way when hearing me and seeing me rolling around in the car.

I tried to tell myself that maybe he was blind, maybe deaf but that was completely impossible. What kind of family member would let a man out in the middle of the night, on his own when he doesn't possess the ability to see or to hear?

Strange isn't it?

"Are you lost dear?"

A husky voice could be heard and I spun around, dropping the flashlight due to the fright and I could hear the glass of the flashlight break as it hit the ground

A man was standing in front of me, about 5 feet away and he was dressed in completely black clothes.

"I'm sorry, you scared me" I mumbled

"Well of course.. it's dark.. and it's.. scarier" He shrugged but he didn't look away

I swallowed hardly cause for some reason it felt like he wasn't here for a good cause. Maybe this was the bad feeling that I had felt earlier

"How did you get out here? I can't see your car" I stuttered

"Oh, I'm out on a walk. Mind joining me?"

Suddenly a growl was heard and My eyes widened in shock as I saw his front teeth

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
