"Jae, wake up."

I squirted my eyes and slowly open my eyes. I saw Taeyeon grinning at me with her face just inches away from mine. I was so shocked that I jerked my head to the back causing it to hit the headboard.

"Yah!! Kim Taeyeon! What the hell are you doing in here?" I said as I rubbed the back of my head. I then realised that Sooyoung and Yuri were also in my room. Sooyoung was sitting on the chair at my computer table while Yuri was seated on the steps.

"We've been waiting for you to wake up." Yuri said.

"And we know your classes will only start in 2hrs time so no more excuses." Sooyoung added on.

"Fine. What is it that you wanted to know?' I sighed as I straightened my back to face them.

"First question, since when did you start to keep in contact with Jessica?" Yuri asked.

"Since that night all of you went to watch Iron Man 3. I asked her to keep my number just in case she needs any help since she's all alone in her dorm." The 3 of them looked at each other before they nodded their head.

"Second question, besides messaging each other, is there other ways that you both are keeping in contact like maybe meeting up secretly behind our backs?" Sooyoung asked as she pointed her finger at me.

"Anni... We've only message each other so far."

"So far? Which means you've got plans to do more than that?" Sooyoung continued asking.

"Depends." I folded my arms across my chest as I looked at the 3 girls. "Anything else? Because I need to get ready for my class."

"Okay, last question. Do you have feelings for Jessica?" Yuri's question made the other two girls looked at me intently.

"Well..." I paused to think for a while. "To tell you the truth, I'm not sure myself. But everytime she replies my message, I unconsciously smiled at my phone. When she doesn't reply, I get anxious. When I see her sometimes, I can spend my time staring at her and when she smiles at me, I can feel my heart skip a beat."

"Hhmmm... You need to sort out your feelings properly first." Yuri said as she stood up and walked towards my door.

"You might have fallen for her." Sooyoung said before following Yuri to the door.

"But remember that she's already got a boyfriend." Taeyeon walked down the stairs and joined them near the door.

"Yah!! Aren't you all suppose to help me out in this?"

"You need to get ready for classes." The 3 of them replied at the same time before they went out from my room, laughing out loud as they did so.

I sighed and just shake my head before grabbing my towel to proceed to the bathroom.

That weekend, the four of us decided to visit Sooyoung's parents since they were available. As both Sooyoung's parents are doctors, it's quite difficult to meet them up due to their busy schedule. When we reached Sooyoung's house, we were greeted by her mum who welcomed us in. She told us that lunch will be ready soon so Sooyoung brought us to her living room. She showed us some of her baby photos and we were laughing at the funny but cute pictures.

"Sooyoung." A manly voice were heard coming out from the kitchen.

"Appa." Sooyoung went to hug the elderly man and introduced him as his dad.

Since both Taeyeon and Yuri had already met Sooyoung's parents before, I was the only one who had to introduce myself to her dad.

"Annyeonghaseyo. Hyun Jae-imnida. It's my pleasure to meet you, sir." I smiled at Mr Choi and bowed down. I noticed him staring at me intently, causing me to be nervous. I was glad when Mrs Choi called us to the dining table to have our lunch. As we chatted about school life and activities, Mrs Choi noticed me and asked me to introduce myself since she has never since me before. She then asked me about my family.

"My father is currently in the States and my mum passed away due to an accident when I was 16 yrs old."

"Omo, I'm sorry to hear that, my dear. It must have been tough on you especially when you have to leave your friends and migrate to the States. But how come your dad didn't follow you back here?" Mrs Choi asked in a motherly tone.

"Appa had to handle some of Harabeoji business in the States so he was not able to come back."

'What kind of business is your Dad handling, if you don't mind me asking?' Mr Choi asked as he stared at me again while waiting for my reply.

"It's just a small family business, sir." I answered briefly.

"Yah!! Park Hyun Jae! Don't have to be so humble in front of my parents." Sooyoung said as I just shyly looked at them.

"Park Hyun Jae?" Mrs Choi was shocked to hear my full name as she turned to look at her husband who was smiling at me.

"You are Park Soo Ri daughter, am I right?" Mr Choi asked me.

"How did you know my dad's name?" I was shocked as I rarely tell people my dad's name due to some influence that he have around rich people.

"No wonder I find that you look familiar. You resemble your dad a lot. Your dad is one of the major shareholder of the hospital that both of us worked at. He's also one of the highest donor at the orphanage that we volunteered in. Your mum and your dad used to be volunteers there too. Until that fateful incident." Mr Choi replied.

He then continued to tell about how my dad was very well-known in the hospital for his down-to-earth character and how he always spend time to be at the orphanage no matter how busy he is. Seeing how my dad behaved around people, nobody can guess that he's actually a very rich person. My dad has been constantly donating to the orphanage every year for the past 9 years. He also told me about my mum who's well-known to be a supportive wife and a gentle lady who has the passion to help out the less fortunate ones. I smiled sheepishly when Mr and Mrs Choi keep showering my parents with praises.

"And I can see that you've got your dad's character in you. I'm happy that my daughter found a great friend like you." Mr Choi ended his talk.

"No sir. We are lucky to be friends which each other. All four of us." I smiled as the other girls showed me a thumbs up.

After lunch, we continued to chat in the living room. Suddenly I received an incoming text on my phone.

From Jessica:

Hyun Jae, will you be free tonight at 7pm?

I looked at my watch. It was only 2pm.

To Jessica:

I should be free. Why? :P

From Jessica:

Do you want to watch Iron Man 3 with me tonight?

I read the message again. If I remembered correctly, I thought she said that she will be watching the movie with her boyfriend. But instead of asking her about it, I just replied okay to her. She text me the place and asked me to meet her there tonight.

We left Sooyoung's house at about 5pm. I informed the girls about my plan with Jessica. I didn't want to hide anything from them since I felt that there's nothing to hide. The 3 of them continued teasing me until we went our separate ways at the bus stop. I don't know why they wished me good luck but seeing their cheeky faces, I knew they were fooling around.

I reached the shopping mall earlier than expected. I looked at my watch and it was only 6pm so I decided to walk around first. When I remembered about how cold a cinema could get, I thought of getting Jessica a cardigan just in case she doesn't have one and might get cold inside the cinema since I didn't bring any jacket with me. I was passing by a shop when I saw something that caught my eye. It was a colored buttonless cardigan. I don't know why but I felt that it'll look good on Jessica so I went in to purchase it. I told the salesperson that I don't need a bag for it as I plan to tell Jessica that the cardigan is mine.

I reached the entrance 10 mins earlier and waited for Jessica but she came 5 mins past 7pm. When she saw me waiting, she quickly apologised. She said that her boyfriend is rarely on time so she thought that I'll be the same. I just smiled at her and told her that I've also just reached there. We went to purchase the tickets and went in. It was not crowded as it seems that tonight was the last day that the movie will be screened. We ate some nachos while waiting for the movie to start. 30 mins into the movie, I noticed Jessica hugging herself and gave her the cardigan that I was holding on.

"It's okay, Jae. I can manage. You should use it instead."

"You can use it. I brought it along just in case you gets cold in here. Don't have to worry about me. I'm thick-skinned." I chuckled at myself while Jessica giggled at my remark.

We were walking out from the cinema after the movie ended when Jessica stopped.

"Jae, did you say that you brought this cardigan just in case I gets cold" I looked at Jessica and nodded my head. "You brought it or you bought it?" She showed me the price tagged that was still attached to the cardigan. I instantly blushed and scratched the back of my head. Jessica giggled at my reaction and wanted to give me back the cardigan.

"Since you've already knew that I bought it for you, you shouldn't return it back to me." I took the cardigan, tore off the price tag and put it over her shoulders. I smiled at her as Jessica shyly put her arms into the cardigan with my help.

"Thanks Jae. I actually liked it. For someone who claimed that they've got no sense of fashion, you picked a nice one for me."

"The moment I saw it, I just felt that it'll suit you well. Anyway, do you want to grab something to eat first or do you want to head back to the dorm?"

"You eat late at night? Aren't you afraid of gaining weight?" Jessica said as I looked at her with a blank face. "Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude but my boyfriend rarely eat after 8pm with me especially after a night movie. He's afraid of putting on weight."

"I eat when I'm hungry. I don't really like to torture my body. So I guess you have a place that you've been wanting to go but you can't, am I right?"

"There's actually a cafe down the street that my friends says serve the best cakes in town and they have offers especially after 9pm. I've been wanting to bring him there but...." before Jessica could finished her words, I took her hands and brought her to the cafe to have our late night snack. We spend about an hour there before we decided to head back.

I was standing in front of Jessica's dorm while waiting for her to find her keys. She didn't want to press the doorbell since it's almost midnight and she didn't want to disturb Tiffany and Sunny who might be sleeping. Before Jessica put her keys into the keyhole, she turned around and face me.

"I had a great night thanks to you, Jae. But how come you didn't question me when I asked you out to watch the movie? You were the only one that knew I was going to watch it with Taecyeon."

"Well, I did thought about it but I didn't want to ask because I rather you tell me what happened willingly. I guess there is a valid reason for you watching it with me instead of him."

"The reason is because he had watched it beforehand with his friends. He was the one who made me promised to watch it with him and not to watch it with anyone else but he was the one who broke the promise. He didn't even tell me that he had watched it until today when I asked him about it since it's the last day of screening."

"So since I've not watched it also, you decided to ask me." Jessica nodded her head. "Sorry if I made you feel like you are just a replacement. I really wanted to watch the movie but I don't want to watch it alone."

"It's okay Jessica. I'm okay with it."

"Thanks once again, Jae. You're really a nice person." Jessica smiled at me as she tucked her hair behind her ears on one side.

"You're beautiful." I was mesmerised by that smile and accidentally said it out loud. I quickly said goodbye and walked away.

Jessica's POV:

I knew I've heard it before. So it was Jae who said it to me. I've got a feeling that she's the one who sang on SooTae's radio show. Seeing how she panicked and walked away after saying good night, she must have said it without realising. She's funny and cute. Thanks to her, I had a great night and also a new cardigan.

Jessica walked into her room and laid down on her bed. She took out her phone and replayed the song that she had recorded during the radio show. Listening to it, she dozed off to sleep.

I was trying to open the dorm door as quietly as I could. I didn't want to disturb the girls whom I thought were sleeping. The moment I opened the door, the lights went on. I saw a grinning Taeyeon by the light switch. I turned to look at the living room and saw Sooyoung with Yuri on the couch, having the same grin on their faces. Yuri called me over to sit with them as Taeyeon joined us.

"So how was the date?" Yuri asked the moment my touch the couch.

"It was not a date."

"Fine. But how was it?" Taeyeon asked.

"It was great. We went for a late night snack at a nearby cafe and the cake was delicious."

"But you didn't bring back any for us?" Sooyoung pouted as the 3 of us looked at her in disbelief.

After chatting for a while, they went back to their rooms to get some rest while I went to the bathroom first to wash up before going into my room.

I was already on my bed when I decided to leave Jessica a message.

To Jessica:

I knew you would be sleeping right now, but I just want to say that I had a great time too and thanks for asking me to the movie. Sleep tight, my angel. :P

I waited for a while to see if there was any reply from her but when there was none, I decided to go off to sleep since she must have fallen asleep too.
