I looked at Jessica with a shocked expression while Appa and Uncle Ken stopped in their tracks. For the next few seconds, no one said anything until I bowed to the elderly lady and greeted her.

"Annyeonghaseyo, Hyun Jae imnida." I bowed again and smiled nervously.

By then, Jessica had walked up to her Omma who was still shocked but her gaze was not directly to me. Instead, Jessica's Omma was staring at Uncle Ken who was moving towards her. What happened next looked like a scene from a melodrama as Uncle Ken suddenly hugged his ex-wife. Jessica joined in the hug as I walked up to my Appa.

"Appa, let's wait for them at the lobby." Before we walked away, I turned to look at Jessica who had tears flowing down her face. Even though I hated to see her cry, I know they were her happy tears as I smiled at her and showed her a heart-shape using my fingers.

When we reached the lobby, we sat at one of the couch in silent. Both of us seemed lost in our own thoughts when Appa suddenly voiced out his concern.

"Jae, do you know why Uncle Ken had to divorce his wife and leave his family?"

"I knew about it. Sica told me before. But what I'm curious is, why is she here?" I frowned as I looked at Appa.

"Jae, your Omma and her have known each other for a long time. There's nothing wrong if she wants to visit your Omma." Appa replied.

"I'm not saying there's anything wrong about it. It's just something out of the norm and it's not even Omma's death anniversary." I explained myself  while it was now Appa's turn to frown.

After about 45mins of waiting, Jessica and her parents came down. Apap was almost dozing off and I had to tap his arm to wake him up. Both of us stood up while they approached us. Jessica was walking in between her parents with her puffy eyes. She smiled at me when I made eye-contact with her.

"Yeon Hee, it's been a while since I last saw you." Appa stretched out for a handshake with Jessica's Omma.

"Oppa, how have you been?" Jessica's Omma returned the handshake and smiled at Appa.

I was looking lost, standing beside Appa when Jessica came up to me and held my arms. I turned to look at her and instantly used my thumbs to wipe away any leftover tears on her face.

"Gwenchana?" I asked as Jessica nodded her head. I her hair that was a bit messy to make it look neater.

"Hyun Jae, right?" I turned to face Jessica's Omma who had called my name out as I bowed slightly to her. "Sooyeon had told me about her relationship with another girl but never would I had imagined that the girl would be you."

I couldn't tell from her expression if Jessica's Omma had meant it in a good way or a bad way but I just smiled and nodded my head. Appa then suggested for us to go out and have lunch together so all of us walked to the car. I drove us to the shopping mall with Jessica on the passenger seat. Uncle Ken was seating in between Appa and Jessica's Omma. Most of the talking in the car was done by the elders while I just concentrated on driving with Jessica just listening to the conversation behind. Sometimes, I noticed Jessica glancing at me from the corner of my eyes and I would turn to look at her. Both of us would just end up smiling at each other. When we stopped at a traffic light, Jessica placed her hand on top of my hand that was on the gear. We entwined our fingers while waiting for the traffic light to turn green.

We reached the mall and proceeded to a Korean family restaurant. We were seated at a table with me sitting between Jessica and Appa on one side while Uncle Ken sat opposite me with Jessica's Omma sitting beside him. The waiter came to take our orders but before he walked away, I stopped him.

"Excuse me, does any of your dishes contain cucumbers?" I asked as the waiter nodded his head. I then turned around to face everyone. "Is it okay with everyone if I asked for the cucumbers to be removed from our dishes?" Everyone except Jessica had a confused look but nonetheless, they nodded their heads. I faced the waiter again and asked him to do likewise as he walked away after that.

"Since when you don't eat cucumber, Jae?' Appa asked as everyone looked at me.

"It's not me. It's for Sica. She hates cucumber. Even the smell of it turns her off. That's why I asked the waiter to remove all the cucumbers." I replied as I felt Jessica tapping my lap. I turned around to see her mouthing the word 'thank you' to me as I just smiled and nodded my head.

"Daebak.. Is Jae always this sweet to you, Sooyeon?" Uncle Ken asked teasingly.

"Sweeter than a candy, Appa." Jessica giggled at her own remarks as I felt my cheeks turning hot.

"You might get diabetes easily if that's the case." Jessica's Omma replied as everyone laughed it off.

Even though I had joined in the laughter, deep at the back of my mind, I was actually confused. 'Is that suppose to be a good thing or a bad thing?' Once again, I was left hanging with my own thoughts.

We were waiting for desert when I plucked up my courage to ask the question that had been bugging me since we left the crematorium.

"Mianhae, Omoni, But there's something that I'm curious about. Why did you visit my Omma at the crematorium just now?" Everyone was now looking at the elderly lady who seemed to be in deep thoughts. "I'm sorry again if my question sounds rude or making you feel uneasy."

"It's okay, Hyun Jae. No worries." Jessica's Omma took a deep breathe before she continued talking. "I'm sure all of you are aware that I was diagnosed with acute leukemia 5yrs ago. I would have to continue my treatment until now if not for your Omma's help." She looked at me and for the first time that day, she smiled warmly at me.

As Jessica's Omma continued her story, no one would have expected for this turn of events. My Omma was the donor who had enabled Jessica's Omma to go through a succesful bone marrow transplant. Omma had requested for the doctors to keep her identity as a secret as she didn't want the patient to feel indebted to her in any way.

"I wasn't able to know who my donor was even after the surgery was done. It took me 2yrs after that to recover fully and throughout the whole recovery process, I kept asking the hospital about my donor's identity. But when I finally find out who it was, it was too late. Never would I imagined that someone so close to me, would be the one who had saved my life. I didn't even managed to say my thanks to Unnie." Her voice started to crack as I watched Uncle Ken putting his arm on her shoulders to comfort her.

All of us were speechless as we didn't know how to actually react to the news. Luckily, the waiter came over to send our desert as we turned our attention to the food in front of us. I looked at Jessica who was concentrating on eating her patbingsu as I looked for her free hand that was on her lap. I entwined my fingers with hers as she looked up at me. I smiled when she fed me a spoonful of her patbingsu.

"Hyun Jae, did you know that Sooyeon used to be in an arranged marriage with someone?" Jessica's Omma asked as I nodded my head. "If not because of my sickness and the debts that came along with it, she won't even have to get involve in any of that. Lucky for her, a kind soul actually gave us cash and told us to repay the debts. It took me too long to find out about the person who had saved my life and I was not even able to say my thanks to her after finding out. I just hoped that Sooyeon would at least be able to thank the person who had helped her out of the arranged marriage."

"Omma, Jae was the one who gave us the money to repay the debts." Jessica answered before I could stop her from doing so.

"Jinjja? But how did she get hold of that money?" Before I could answer her question, Jessica's Omma pointed her finger at Appa.

"If you think that I'm the one who gave Jae the money, you're wrong, Yeon Hee. It was never our style to give Jae money so easily. She had to work for that money." Appa then started to explained all that I had done just so that I'll be able to earn the 500million won for them to repay the debts.

"I didn't even know about it until later, Omma.She kept it a secret until it created a misunderstanding between us but luckily, everything was resolved soon." Jessica added on as she explained briefly what happened between her and Donghae.

"But why didn't you just tell Sooyeon about it right after you gave us the money? You've already had feelings for her by then right?" Jessica's Omma looked at me as she questioned my actions.

"I didn't want her to feel indebted to me. Everything I did was of goodwill with no intention of receiving anything in return. I was sure of my feelings for her but I wanted her to accept me for who I am and not for what I've done for her." I explained myself calmly to Jessica's Omma.

"Like mother, like daughter. Unnie had brought you up well. She must be really proud of you right now." I smiled shyly hearing the praises from Jessica's Omma as I took a glass of water to drink. "Would you like to sleep over at my house tonight, Hyun Jae?"

I almost choked when I heard the question as Appa and Uncle Ken giggled at my clumsiness. I wiped my mouth and nodded my head. It was then decided that I'll be sending Appa and Uncle Ken home later, at the same time grabbing some clothes for the overnight stay, before driving to Jessica's house with her and her Omma.

Jessica and her Omma lived in an apartment as I drove by the security guard post to the carpark at the basement. We went up the lift to their floor and entered the house. Even though it was not as luxurious as my place, it had a homely feeling when I entered. As I stood frozen at the living room, I was suddenly reminded of Omma.

"I'm sorry for the lack of space in my home but please make yourself comfortable." Jessica's Omma said to me.

"Anni, anni.. It's okay. I was just reminded of Omma. This house has got the same warm feelings that I used to feel everytime I get home from school when Omma was still around." I replied shyly as I sat down at the couch beside Jessica.

"Do you want any drinks, Jae?" she asked again as she was about to turn to the kitchen.

"It's okay, Omoni. Please don't trouble yourself. By the way, you don't mind me calling you Omoni, right?" I asked nervously, afraid that she might not like it.

"You can call me that, Jae. I'll just prepare some light refreshments for us. It won't take long. Sooyeon, please go and clean up your room in the meantime. It's not nice to allow a guest to sleep in your messy room." Omoni said to Jessica who pouted as I just grinned at her.

Both of them left to their separate places while I just sat on the couch, looking around the house. Omoni came back with a tray of drinks and some cakes. I stood up to help her with it as I placed the tray on the table. As both of us sat down, there was an air of awkwardness between us. Omoni gestured me to have a drink as I took a glass of water and had a sip.

"So Jae, when did you start liking girls?"

I almost dropped the glass of water when Omoni asked me that question. Luckily, it didn't dropped as I turned to face her. "Since middle school, Omoni."

"Have you had a boyfriend or a girlfriend before?" I shook my head. "So how do you know that you're into girls?" Omoni asked again.

"I'm more interested to look at girls than guys." I chuckled shyly at Omoni. "Can I ask you something, Omoni?"

"Sure, go ahead." She answered as she took a glass of water to drink.

"Do you doubt my feelings for Sica? Because I'm really serious about her. Even though I've never been in a relationship or have not dated any guy before, please believe me when I said that Sica is the one for me. When I read her text messages, I'll be smiling like a pabo. When she tell jokes that are not funny, I'll still laugh at her cuteness. When I see tears in her eyes, I'll feel like hugging her to ease her pain. When she's away from me, I'll feel so empty inside that it makes me breathless. I might not be the best person for her but I won't stop trying to do my best for her."

I stopped talking as Omoni slowly placed the glass on the table. I saw her leaning back into the chair as I took a deep breathe.

"Jae, don't get me wrong. I'm not doubting your feelings for Sooyeon. I've seen enough the whole day to know how much you love and care for my daughter. As a mother, I only want the best for my daughter. I don't want her to experience the same hardship that I had to go through in my marriage. All I can say is that Sooyeon is really lucky to have you." Omoni smiled at me.

"Anni, Omoni. We're lucky to have each other." I grinned dorkily as Omoni chuckled at my remarks.

"Jaegi."

I looked to the direction of the voice and saw Jessica standing at a corner with tears flowing down her cheeks. I quickly stood up and ran to her as I cupped her face and wipe away the tears. "What's wrong, Sicababy? Gwenchana?" I worriedly asked.

Jessica then explained that she had actually eavesdropped on my conversation with her Omma. She said that my words touched her heart as she saw how sincere I was when I was trying to convince her Omma. "I was trying my best to control my tears but when you said that we're lucky to have each other, that was the last straw."

I saw Jessica biting her lips, trying to control her emotions again as I engulf her into a hug. Rubbing her back to calm her emotions, I told her that everything will be fine. Kissing her forehead, I gave her my best smile when she looked into my eyes. I wasn't aware how long we were staring at each other but a sudden cough from Omoni, snapped us back to reality.

"Maybe both of you should go and get some rest. I'm going in to rest too. Have a good night sleep, my two daughters." Omoni suddenly gave both of us a peck each on our cheeks before walking away to her room.

"Does this mean she have accepted us being together, Sicababy?" I asked Jessica after I saw Omoni had entered her room.

Jessica smiled and nodded her head. I was so happy that I unintentionally lifted Jessica up bridal style. Luckily, Jessica managed to cover before her dolphin scream could escape from it. She only slapped me on my shoulders as I carried her to her bedroom.

Her room reminded me of my own since it had almost the same color tone which is black and white. The only difference was her room had additional red items in them.

"Daebak.. Looks like both of us have the same taste when it comes to color." I smiled at Jessica who threw a towel and a bathrobe at me.

"I'll show you the washroom. But it's not as big as yours though." Jessica said as I just followed her.

I must have taken some time to shower because when I came out, Jessica was already soundly asleep on the bed. She already had her make-up removed and was even wearing a bathrobe too. 'Did she shower somewhere else?' I tried to wake her up but all I got was just a 'hhhmm' sound. I smiled looking at her, cuddling herself under the blanket as I switched off the light that was on her bedside. I walked to the other side and climbed up on bed to join her.

I was wakened up by a ray of sunlight shining on my eyes. I was about to stretch myself when I realised that I was not able to do so. I opened my eyes slightly and saw a pair or arms wrapped across my body and legs trapping me from moving around. Jessica was hugging me like a koala hugging a tree. I kissed the top of her head that was resting on my chest as I felt her movement. Jessica lifted her head to look at me as I wished her good morning. She nodded her head and was about to stretch out her arms when she paused it in mid-air. I sw her staring at something as I followed her gaze. I was shocked to see that my bathrobe was actually untied but luckily I was wearing a white t-shirt inside along with my Superman boxer. I quickly grabbed the string around my bathrobe and tied it up while I heard Jessica giggling beside me.

"Sicababy, did you untie my bathrobe while I was sleeping?" I asked her with skeptical eyes.

Jessica smiled with a tint of cheekiness. "So what if I did?" She meronged at me

"Then I have to untie yours too." I said as I climbed on top of her, trapping her with my knees on her sides and started to tickle.

"Jaegi, stop. It's ticklish.." Jessica tried to protect herself from my tickles. "I'm not wearing anything inside."

I froze when I heard her reply as I swallowed my saliva. Jessica must have seen it as she smirked and propped herself up using her elbows. Her actions caused her bathrobe to slip a bit on her right shoulder, exposing her milky skin.

"Do you still want to untie my bathrobe, Jaegi?" She asked as she purposely bite her lips seductively.

My eyes almost bulged out when I saw that as I quickly jumped out from the bed. "I think it's time for me to shower. I'll see you in a while." I dashed into the bathroom as I heard Jessica giggling on the bed.

By the time both of us were freshened up, it was already 10am. We went out to the living room and walked into the kitchen. Omoni had left for the office but she had prepared breakfast for us. I asked Jessica to thank Omoni on my behalf and she send her Omma a text message.

"So any plans for the day, Jaegi?" Jessica asked me while we were washing the dishes together after our breakfast.

"We need to send Appa to the airport at 12pm for his flight later and then maybe we can go shopping after that."

"Shopping? I love shopping. It's been sometime since I went shopping." I saw Jessica's eyes sparkled. "Should we ask the girls along too?"

"I'll ask Taeng and Yul. Can you help me to ask Sunny and Seohyun?" I smiled at Jessica who had just finished drying the last plate.

At the airport, Appa reminded me to take care of myself and also to take care of Jessica. After saying our goodbyes, Uncle Ken asked me to drop him off at Omoni's office. It seemed that both of them were planning to go on a lunch date. While on the way there, Uncle Ken informed us that he'll be going back to LA in 2 days time to settle his business there. Once everything's settled, Unce Ken said that he would move back to Korea permanently. Jessica couldn't stop smiling after she heard her Appa's decision.

We had planned to meet up with the girls at the shopping mall at 4pm. I went to pick HyoHyun up as Sooyoung had already promised to pick TaeNy up. The first thing that the 10 of us did when we gathered were to grab something to eat as we headed to an ice-cream cafe. We were chatting away when Taeyeon blurted out to the girls telling them that I had slept over at my future mother-in-law's house. Soon the teasings began as I just shook my head at them while Jessica was blushing all the way.

Once lunch was over, we broke into two groups to start on our shopping. SooSun, YoonYul and HyoHyun went off in a group while TaeNy joined me and Jessica. After about 2hrs of browsing through the clothes, me and Taeyeon were now sitting on the couch that was in front of the changing room while our girlfriends tried on the clothes.

"So Jae, I guess you've already had the blessings from Sica's parents right?" I nodded my head to Taeyeon. "So did anything happen last night?"

I saw Taeyeon grinning cheekily at me as I grabbed her around the neck, giving her a headlock. We continued playing around with each other until we heard Tiffany's voice calling out for Taeyeon. We turned around to face her and had our jaws literally dropped. For 5 seconds, both of us had our eyes glued on Tiffany who was turning and posing in front of us.

Suddenly, Taeyeon headlocked me as she teasingly told me to stop oogling at her girlfriend. We were about to wrestle each other out when I heard Jessica calling my name. Our attention shifted to her and once again both of us had our mouth opened.

I turned to look at Taeyeon and quickly covered her eyes but Taeyeon shoved my hands away. Both of us ended up grabbing each other collars before we started to laugh out loud.

"Fany's is daebak." I whispered to Taeyeon who was grinning.

"Sica's melons..." Taeyeon didn't say it out, instead she just showed me a thumbs up.

We were about to high-five each other when we suddenly felt pain in one of our ears. We didn't realised that our girlfriends had walked up to us and overheard us talking about their assets. Jessica was pulling on my right ear while Tiffany did it to Taeyeon's left ear.

"ByunTaeng, admiring Sica's melons is it?" Tiffany asked Taeyeon.

"And ByunJae, I didn't know you were into butts too." Jessica said to me in a sarcastic tone.

I looked at Taeyeon and both of us ended up giggling nervously. We gave our apologetic looks to our girlfriends and tried to pacify them but all they did were to grinned at us evilly after whispering to one another. Taeyeon nudged me on the sides and told me that the two girls must have came up with something to punish us. I sighed as both of us just followed the back of our girlfriends who were already walking to another shop after they made payment for the clothes.

After 5hrs of shopping, we met up with the rest of the girls who had just finished watching a movie. They were shocked to see Tiffany and Jessica walking with linked arms, empty-handed while me and Taeyeon had about 30 paper bags each. Our girlfriends complained to the girls about what happened earlier and how they punished us by making us followed them to almost all the shops in the shopping mall. The rest of the girls ended up laughing at us as we walked to a nearby cafe to grab some food before heading home.

I drove Jessica and TaeNy back to Taeyeon's house as Uncle Ken was shocked to see how shagged me and Taeyeon were. He saw the paper bags that we carried in and the first thing he asked me and Taeyeon was if we did anything wrong. Both of us slumped into the couch after dropping the paper bags to the floor.

"Appa Ken, I was bullied by Sica." I pouted as I looked at Uncle Ken with puppy eyes.

"Yah!! Who ask you to oogle at other girl's ?" Jessica folded her arms at me while giving me the icy glare.

I told Uncle Ken what happened at the mall with Taeyeon beside me nodding her head. "I only said to Taeng that her girlfriend's was daebak. I wasn't even comparing it with Sica's."

"And I did the same too. Both of us were just complimenting each other's girlfriend as a sign of appeciation. We wanted to high-five each other to show how lucky we were to have them as our girlfriends." Taeyeon said.

"But they misunderstood us. And we were punished with that." I pointed to all the paper bags.

"Both of you had your mouth opened and had your eyes fixed on us when we came out from the changing rooms." Tiffany replied while standing beside Jessica.

"Because you were too beautiful." Both me and Taeyeon said at the same time as both of us abruptly stood up.

"I can't believe you both even tried to flirt with the waiter when we were at the cafe. I know that both of you just wanted to teach us a lesson but this has gone too far." I said softly.

I looked at both girls with a serious face before I told Taeyeon that I'll sleep in her room tonight. I turned to look at Jessica and without smiling, I told her to sleep in my room with Tiffany. Saying goodnight to Uncle Ken, I walked away towards Taeyeon's room.
