All of us were gathered at the school gym by 9am sharp as instructed by Ms Lee. Our team players were looking very smart with our official blazer that was black in color with a little pink emblem of our team logo on the right pocket. All of us had agreed to wear a white shirt and black pants to go along with the blazer so all of us looked very uniformed.

"All of you looked charming today." Ms Lee said as she told us to gather at a corner of the gym. "Today's event will start at 9.30am with invited students coming in to enjoy the food and music. By 10.45am everyone is expected to take a seat at the chairs that have been placed in the centre of the gym. The Dean will arrive at 11am, give a short speech before he will present the medals. All of you have been assigned your seats accordingly so please be seated by 10.45am. Your seats should be somewhere near the men's team."

We all nodded our heads as we listened to what Ms Lee had to say. Jessica, Tiffany and Seohyun had not arrived since they were not part of the futsal team but Sunny informed us that they were already awake when she and Yoona left the dorm.

"I saw what they were planning to wear later. I wish I could dress up like them too instead of wearing such a formal attire." Yoona pouted as Sunny agreed to her comments.

"What are they planning to wear?" Taeyeon asked with a dorky grin.

"It's a surprise. They made us promise to keep it a secret." Sunny replied as she meronged at the pouting Taeyeon.

"Hey Min, how's things with Suzy? Any progress?" Hyoyeon asked her best friend who just blushed and shook her head.

"The food is here. Yoona, should we go and check it out?" Sooyoung said as we saw a few people from a catering company, walking in through the entrance while carrying trays of food.

"Andwae." Yuri blocked the two shikshin by standing in front of them with her hands spread out. "Both of you are going to finish up the food soon."

All of us ended up laughing when we saw Sooyoung and Yuri wrestling it out jokingly. They only stopped when the students started to walked in. By 9.45am, the gym was filled with students, some of them were our classmates and some familiar faces. Like Siwon and Donghae.

The moment I spotted those two guys, I automatically turned to look at Taeyeon. Both of us had the same shocked expression and even the same question when we blurted it out at the same time. "What are they doing here?"

"Who?" Yuri asked as I pointed at Donghae while Taeyeon pointed at Siwon.

"They're part of the organising committee, remember?" Sunny explained as both me and Taeyeon pouted. "That was how Sica got to know Donghae last year. He was around during last year award ceremony when you 'disappeared' on us."

"I didn't disappear. I..." I was about to defend myself when noises of whistling and cheerings from the gym entrance distracted all of us as we watched 3 familiar ladies walking in.

 

No one said a word and I had a feeling that me, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon were looking exactly the same at the moment. Frozen on our spot with jaws literally dropping as our girlfriends walked towards us.

"Annyeong." Tiffany greeted us with her loud voice as Jessica and Seohyun just bowed their head slightly. "Taetae, what's wrong?"

The moment Tiffany poke Taeyeon's shoulders, it seemed like the 3 of us were woken up from a trance. Taeyeon grinned dorkily as she rubbed the back of her neck.

Jessica went up to me and smiled as she brushed my left hand softly. "How's your hand? Better?"

"You look stunning." I whispered to Jessica who blushed at my words. "My hand is much better now. I don't need to use the wrist support anymore but I still need to be more careful. Anyway, looks like I can't let you roam around freely today."

Wrapping my arms around Jessica's waist, I saw Taeyeon did the same thing while Hyoyeon asked Seohyun to link arms with her.

"If only we could dress up like them." Yoona pouted again while leaning her head with Sunny's.

 "Are we just going to stand around here and not get some food? It's already 10am. We need to gather and meet Ms Lee at 10.45am." Sooyoung complained as we heard her stomach growling.

I'm not sure if I was being clingy or protective but I stuck close to Jessica all the time. It might be because of the presence of Donghae and Taecyeon in the gym that was causing me to be edgy.

"What's wrong, Jaegi? You and Taeng has been sticking close to me and Fany since we came. Even Hyo has loosen up and let Seohyun mingle with her friends." Jessica asked after she handed me a glass of fruit punch.

"We saw Siwon."

"We saw Donghae."

Both me and Taeyeon answered at the same time as we turned to look at each other before facing our girlfriends with a nervous chuckle.

"So?" Tiffany asked with a blank expression. "Don't tell me you both are being clingy because of them?"

Taeyeon and me nodded our heads like kids that had been caught doing something wrong as we heard giggles coming from our girlfriends.

"Kyeopta." Jessica replied as she pinched my cheeks while Tiffany did the same to Taeyeon.

Donghae's POV:

I wish I didn't have to attend today's event but since I was part of the organising committee of the university and also because of my good friend, Siwon, I had no choice. I knew she would be there. That's how I met her in the first place anyway.

I remembered last year when I introduced myself to Jessica. At that point, all I wanted to do was to get my revenge on Taecyeon. Luckily for me, he wasn't around last year but this year, he'll be around. Soon, he'll be boasting to me about his team being the champion.

I'm not concerned about him though. I'm more worried about facing Jessica. After what happened between her and me, I did a self reflection on my actions and realised my mistake. Even though initially, all I wanted was to make use of Jessica, I had actually fallen for her in the later stages.

But I knew she's with someone else right now. From what I heard and seen so far, it's true that she's very happy right now. When I saw her walking in from the gym entrance and how the students were whistling at her and her friends, I wish she was mine. But seeing her walking towards Hyun Jae and how wide her smile was when standing beside her girlfriend, I could see how deeply in love they are.

When I was reminded of Jessica's last words to me about not appearing in front of her anymore, I sighed. If only I could just ask for her forgiveness.

Siwon's POV:

Damn, Tiffany is so hot. I really don't understand how can she reject someone like me to be with that short girl. I'm a million times better than her in every aspect. But when I saw how her eys lit up and formed into her famous eye-smile the moment she saw Taeyeon, it struck a cord in my heart. Is this what love is?

Taecyeon's POV:

I was sure I was looking great as always right now. Wearing our team official blazer that has our team logo in the form of a blue emblem on it, matching it with a white shirt and white pants, I knew I stood out among the rest. My team had suggested for everyone to wear identical  black shirt and black pants but obviously I need to be different. I'm the team captain.

I saw how the girls team were all wearing the same attire including their short captain and I had to chuckle to myself. They look like school kids with the same uniform. My thoughts were disrupted when I heard some noises from the entrance.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw Jessica walking in gracefully with 2 of her friends. I was about to walk towards her but stopped in my tracks when I saw her approaching Hyun Jae. I saw how she smiled sheepishly after Hyun Jae whispered something to her. I had to clench my fist tight with her next action of wrapping her arms around Jessica's waist.

'Jessica, I knew I didn't treat you well before but you are better off in my arms. I'm confident that I can give you anything that you want. That Hyun Jae doesn't look like she's able to afford you anything. She's just an average person who is taking advantage of your wealth.'

"The food is really nice." Sooyoung said. "What time is it now? Do I have time for another round?"

"Yah, Choi Shikshin. This is already your 3rd round. We're only left with 15mins. We still need to find our seats." Sunny slapped Sooyoung's hands lightly.

All of us chuckled at SooSun's interaction but it was disrupted with the appearance of an uninvited person.

"Hi everyone. Congrats on being the champion. Guess our school will be well-known for having both teams crowned champions in the tournament." Taecyeon said as he lifted his cup of fruit punch as a form of toast.

"To be exact, the women team managed to retain their championship for 2yrs straight." Sooyoung shot him a sarcastic reply.

"Well, whatever. Anyway, I won the golden boots award with 8 goals scored troughout the tournamnet. I'm the best, right Jessica?" Taeyeon smirked as he looked at Jessica who rolled her eyes at him.

I saw Taeyeon was about to say something but I quickly intercepted her. "Congrats on your team and individual achievements, Taecyeon. But can you excuse us for a while? We need to talk about some GIRL stuff." I said as I emphasized on the word 'girl'.

When the rest of the girls glared at him, Taecyeon was slightly taken aback as he just nodded his head and walked away.

"Aaarrgghhh... I can't stand his arrogance." Taeyeon gritted her teeth. "I'm so glad Sica is no longer with him."

"That's true. I can't imagine how you're even going to last a day with him, Sica." Yuri commented.

"He's actually not that bad as a person. He did took care of me during our middle school and protected me from the bullies." Jessica said before turning to face me while biting her lips, looking a little guilty for what she had said.

"I can't believe you could still take his side, Jessi." Tiffany arched her eyebrows at Jessica.

"He is still a friend of Sica who had helped her before. We don't really know him as well as her so shall we just let it slip for Sica's sake?" I said before Jessica had the chance to reply to Tiffany's comments.

The rest of the girls nodded their heads as I felt Jessica's hands on my arms, causing me to face her.

"Gomawo for standing up for me and sorry for defending him in front of you." Jessica said as she looked straight into my eyes.

"It's okay. I understand your position." I smiled sincerely at her. "I'm the best, right Sicababy?"

I decided to with Taecyeon's words as Jessica glared at me for a minute before breaking into a smile as she leaned her head on my shoulders. Our moment was shortlived as Taeyeon informed everyone to finish up their food so that we can start looking for our seats. Luckily for us, the men's team were already seated so we were able to find our seats which were just behind theirs. The cheerleaders team were allocated seats behind us.

The seating arrangement starts with the team captain sitting on the first chair followed by the vice captain and then the rest of the team. So basically, Taeyeon was seated directly behind Taecyeon while I was seated beside Taeyeon. Tiffany sat behind Taeyeon while Jessica sat behind me. When Taecyeon noticed Jessica behind me, he tried to smile and wave at her, purposely ignoring my presence as if I was invincible. Taeyeon saw his actions and deliberately leaned closer to me as if she wanted to whisper something to me which resulted in blocking Taecyeon's view of Jessica.

"I'm just doing this on purpose." Taeyeon whispered to me. "I can't stand his ego."

I chuckled at Taeyeon's childish reaction but I just nodded my head as I noticed Taecyeon turning his body to face the front. Just at that moment, an announcement were made to welcome the arrival of our Dean. Everyone kept quiet as the Dean took his seat on the small stage that was placed in front of us. Siwon was the one who had made the announcement earlier as he continued to say a few more words before he invited the Dean to have his speech.

"Good morning, everyone. Did you all enjoyed the food and music so far? This year is the first time in the history of SM university where our futsal team, both men and women, were crowned as champions in the recent Futsal Tournament that ended yesterday. Our men's team came in 4th last year but they proved their worth by working harder this year to clinch the championship trophy. Our women's team did us proud by retaining their championship from last year. So without wasting anymore time, let's bring up our star players and present them with their awards."

The moment the Dean ended his speech, a girl took his place in front of the mic. The Dean was then ushered to the centre of the stage to get ready to present us our medals.

"First up will be the futsal men's team which will be lead by their team captain, Ok Taecyeon. The Dean will present them their championship medals along with their trophy."

The girl announced as Taecyeon stood up and with an arrogant smirk, he walked ahead with his teammates towards the stage. The Dean then placed the medals around every player's neck and handed the trophy to Taecyeon. After a group photo was taken, the players were ushered down back to their seats.

"Next up will be the futsal women's team which will be lead by their team captain, Kim Taeyeon. The Dean will also present them their championship medals along with their trophy." The same process repeated itself until we were ushered back to our seats.

"Besides team achievement for winning the championship, we are also proud to announce that there are individual achievements that was attained in this tournament. We would like to invite Ok Taecyeon up to the stage again to receive his golden boots award. He's the top goalscorer with 8 goals for the men's division."

As Taecyeon walked up arrogantly to the stage, loud cheerings could be heard among his teammates. I noticed that Taecyeon was stealing glances towards Jessica as he bowed slightly to receive his golden boots award. When he made his way down to his seats, he showed a thumbs up to his teammates and blowed kisses to no one in particular.

"Next, we would like to invite Park Hyun Jae to receive her golden boots award. Hyun Jae is not only the top scorer for the women's division but she's also the overall topscorer of the tournament with 11 goals. Therefore she will be receiving two golden boots award."

I stood up the moment the girl ended her sentence as I walked quickly to the stage with my head down. It's just a habit of mine to walk with my head down as I'm not that comfortable with being in the spotlight. I shook the hands of the Dean as he congratulated me and patted my back. After a quick photo taking, I walked back to my seat.

"Finally, we've almost come to the end of this award ceremony but there is a little surprise coming up. I'll hand over the mic to Ms Lee who is the coach for the women's futsal team. Ms Lee, please." The girl stood aside as Ms Lee took over her position.

"Good morning everyone. As mentioned by Eunji earlier, there is a surprise for today's award ceremony. There's actually an additional award that will be given out which is the most prestigious award of the tournament. The MVP award. This award is given to a player which had shown great abilities in her skills not just as a player but as a team member. Throughout the tournament that had started since last Tuesday and ended yesterday, a group of judges has been going around to monitor possible candidates for this award and they had finalised their decision last night, a few hours after the Final match ended. It is with great pleasure to announce that the recipient of the award is one of our players."

The hall erupted into cheers as everyone was trying to anticipate who the player was. I noticed the men's team were pointing towards Taecyeon who just folded his arms and smiled as if he knew he was the one to receive it. Taeyeon nudged me slightly showing her dislike at Taecyeon's antics.

"The award will be arriving soon to our school and will be presented by the chairman of the futsal tournament to the player. It should be here by now." Ms Lee said as she looked towards the entrance, causing everyone to turn towards the same direction. "I think it's here."

A man and a lady, wearing a formal attire, walked in with the lady holding on to a trophy. Ms Lee walked down from the stage and greeted them as I noticed that the man was the chairperson who did the opening speech on the first day of the tournament. Ms Lee ushered both of them on stage as our Dean shook hands with them. After the 3 of them stood at the centre stage, Ms Lee went back to the mic to continue her speech.

"Without further ado, I would like to invite the recipient of the MVP award on stage to receive her award. Park Hyun Jae."

The moment Ms Lee announced my name, I had a blank expression on my face. Loud cheerings could be heard among the girls and also from our schoolmates as Taeyeon had to pull me up from my seat. I was still feeling daze as I looked around the cheering crowd until my gaze stopped at Jessica. I saw her smiling proudly at me and showed me a thumbs up as Eunji ushered me up to the stage to receive my award.

"Did you guys notice Taecyeon's expression after Ms Lee announced Jae's name? His eyes were so wide open that I was afraid it might popped out." Yuri laughed as the girls joined in.

All of us were currently at the mall for lunch after the award ceremony ended about 2hrs ago. Sunny and Yoona had insisted on changing their attire so we had to wait for them before all of us left for the mall in our own cars.

"I didn't manage to see because I was laughing at Jae's blank face. I had to literally pull her up to stand when she was still looking lost after Ms Lee announced her name." Taeyeon laughed out loud as she patted my back hard.

"Yah!! It's painful." I said as Taeyeon apologised for her actions while Jessica helped to rub my back. "I really didn't expect to win the award though. That's why I was a bit lost."

"You deserve it, Jae. Even when you're not on the court playing, you assisted Ms Lee on the sideline. Your contribution as a team player helps us a lot." Sooyoung said as the rest nodded their heads.

"You should have gone up to Taecyeon and repeated his own words at him. I'm the best, right?" Hyoyeon said as I just laughed it off.

The food arrived as we continued chatting. Once lunch was over, everyone decided to go on their own ways as we bid each other goodbye.

"So Sicababy, what do you have in mind? Any place you want to go to?" I asked as I entwined my fingers withe hers.

"I think it's time for your punishment, Jaegi."

"Punishment?" I scratched the back of my head trying to remember.

"Remember what happened between you and your so-called fan? I warned you not to misbehave and said that I'll deal with you at the end of the day. But I didn't manage to do so yesterday after we all decided to vist Taeng's Omma at around 6pm and only reached the dorm at 11pm. So today, you're going to receive your punishment." Jessica grinned evilly at me.

"What kind of punishment are you referring to?" I asked as my mind tried to think of any ideas that Jessica might think of since we're currently at the mall.

"Don't worry too much. It's not really a bad punishment. It's just something enjoyable but torturous at the same time. Just follow me." Jessica giggled as she pulled me along.

I was still lost in my own thoughts until I didn't realised that Jessica had stopped and almost collided into her.

"We've reached the place." Jessica smiled at me as I turned to face the shop in front of me before my eyes widened and I was frozen in my spot.

"We.. we.. we...." I couldn't finish my sentence as I skimmed through the products on display.

"They have a private room upstairs for VVIPs to try out their lingeries. And guess what? I'm one of their VVIPs" Jessica giggled as I had my jaws dropped.

"Pri.. pri...private... rrr...room?" I stammered again as Jessica pulled me into the shop.

"Good evening, Ms Jung. I see that you've brought a companion along today. Is Ms Hwang with you also?"

An elderly salesperson greeted us the moment we were inside the store. I looked around the shop again, seeing the products closer than earlier and I had to swallow my saliva. Hard. 

"Ms Hwang is not with me today, Maria. But I'll need to use one of the private room upstairs today. I heard you've got a new range of nighties that had just arrived. I wish to take a look at it." Jessica replied as she linked her arms with me while the elderly lady nodded her head. "I'll just wait upstairs then."

As Jessica dragged me up the stairs, I kept blinking my eyes. 'The clothings here are so y and skimpy. Don't tell me that Jessica is planning to try them on and.... and....'

My thoughts were disrupted when Jessica pushed a wooden door that lead us to a pinkish room. In the centre of the room, there was a white couch which Jessica told me to take a seat.

"Is this your first time going to a lingerie shop, Jaegi?" Jessica asked as she took a seat beside me.

"Not really the first time but Victoria's Secret is my first. I mean I always go to those normal shops just to buy my sports bra and boxers. But this shop and this private room thingy..." I pointed around the whole room. " Is a first time for me."

A knock at the door disrupted our conversations as Maria came in with a few hangers of nighties in her right hand and a pink basket in her left hand.

"These are some of the new nighties that you requested and we have some new lingerie sets for you to look through."

After Maria placed the clothings inside the changing room, she pulled the curtain to close it back before excusing herself from the room.

Jessica closed and locked the wooden door before walking to the changing room. Just when she was about to slide the curtain aside, I voiced out my concern.

"Sicababy, hhhmmm.... Are you... mmmm.. planning to..?" I couldn't complete my sentence and just used my fingers to point to the pile of clothes inside the changing room.

"You mean, do I plan to try them out and let you see?" Jessica asked as I blinked my eyes rapidly while swallowing my saliva. "Of course. I need your opinion before buying them."

Seeing Jessica smirking, I finally understood what she meant by enjoyable but torturous punishment for me. As Jessica giggled while entering the changing room, I grabbed a cushion nearby and hugged it. Taking a deep breathe, I mentally tried to calm my raging heartbeat that threatens to explode any minute.
