It was nice to see Jessica around in school. After being away for 2 weeks, there were a lot of things that she needed to catch up on even though Tiffany has been helping her out during that period. Me, Sooyoung, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Jessica were gathered at the school library, going through some of our own studies when the table vibrated. I looked up just in time to see Taecyeon's name blinking on Jessica's phone before she took it and answered it in whispers. After 5mins, she hanged up the phone.

"I'll make a move first. I won't be joining you guys at the practice later since I'm still not allowed to participate yet so I'll see you tonight, Tiff. Bye guys."

I looked at the disappearing body of Jessica and sighed. Taeyeon kicked me under the table and mouthed the word hwaiting when I looked at her. I just smiled and showed a thumbs up to her. We left the library an hour later to proceed to our futsal practice.

Since I was not part of the first team, I had to wear the reserve bibs on and practice with Sooyoung, Yoona and two more senior players. After an hour of drills, Ms Lee told us to have a 5 vs 5 practice match. I was performing better than the previous two games but I didn't really play to my full potential as I didn't want to overshadow Hyoyeon. It seems that she's gaining more confidence ever since the time we practiced together. 15mins before our practice ended, Ms Lee told us to stop playing and to gather around.

"In a month's time, we are going to be participating in the Inter-University Futsal Competition (Seoul Div). 32 universities will be competing  and our university is in Group G. Last year, we were able to clinch 3rd place and I hope that we'll be able to achieve better results this year. I know that you guys will be taking your exams too in 3 weeks time so keep up the self-discipline and take care of yourselves."

We ended our practices and waited for the cheerleading team to finish. As usual, Yuri and Hyoyeon will walk Yoona and Seohyun to the bus stop while the rest of us will walk back to the dorm. When we were almost reaching, we saw Jessica sitting at a bench in front of the dorm, all nicely dressed up.

"Hey, Sica. Where are you going?" Sunny asked as all of us approached her.

"I'm going out with Taecyeon for a while. We are going to his cousin's birthday party."

"Nice dress you have there, Jessi. Don't tell me Taecyeon bought it for you and asked you to wear it tonight?" Tiffany asked as Jessica nodded her head. "Show off. Always trying to ask you to wear the branded clothes so that he can show you off to his relatives. You went off earlier at the library to meet him to get the dress, am I right?" Once again, Jessica nodded her head.

The rest of the girls said their goodbyes to Jessica and walked away. I looked around and notice that Taecyeon was still not there yet. I remembered Jessica telling me that he's always not on time so I walked towards her and sat down. Jessica turned and looked at me wiith a confused look.

"I'll accompany you here until he comes. Since you told me before that he's usually not on time." Jessica nodded her head and say her thanks. "While you are at the party, take care of yourself okay. Try not to be on your feet for long since the doctor said that your ankle is not heal yet. What time is your therapy tomorrow?"

"It's at 11am. Tiffany and Sunny will accompany me there."

Both of us had nothing else to talk as we just sat there and stared at the stars in the sky. It was total silence between us but it was not an awkward silence. The feeling was peaceful and both of us doesn't seem to mind the silent yet calm atmosphere. 10mins later, I spotted Taecyeon's yellow sports car from a distance.

"I think he's arriving soon." I pointed to the approaching car. "I'll take my leave first. Remember to take care of yourself okay and enjoy the night."

"Thanks, Jae. For accompanying me even for a short while."

I smiled at her and was about to walk away when I stopped and looked at her. "By the way, you look beautiful." I saw her blushing and continued walking before Taecyeon arrived. From a distance, I saw her walking to his car while he just waited inside. He didn't even opened the car for her. I sighed and took the lift up to my dorm.

We had just finished our own practices that Saturday morning and decided to go to the cafetaria to have an early lunch. We were talking about Hyoyeon's improvement in her game and was teasing me about not going to get back my position in the first team when Taeyeon's phone suddenly beeped. She read the message and looked at us.

"It's Tiffany. It seems that they were reprimanded by the doctor in-charge of Jessica's therapy because Jessica came with a swollen ankle."

"Swollen ankle? How did that happen?" Yuri asked as I was getting anxious when I heard about it.

"Seems like Jessica had been putting a lot of pressure on the ankle until it was swollen. Now they have to delay the therapy for an hour or two until the swelling goes down before they can start the therapy."

"I thought she was fine yesterday when we saw her. Even the past few days, we had taken great care of her ankle." Sooyoung said.

"She must have stayed on her feet for long period of time last night at the party." I sighed. "Taeng, help me to tell Tiffany to keep us updated about Jessica's condition."

Taeyeon nodded and typed her reply to Tiffany as all of us entered the cafetaria. We returned to our dorm after lunch and took turns to have our shower. I was the last one to shower after losing at the scissors-paper-stone game. When I exited the bathroom, the 3 girls were sitting around at the living room. We decided to watch some DVDs while waiting for the time to pass by.

At about 3pm, Taeyeon received a message from Tiffany that the 3 of them are already on the way back to the dorm. I asked Taeyeon to ask Tiffany if they had eaten and Tiffany said that they had missed their lunch. Hearing that, I quickly took out my phone and ordered pizzas to be send to our dorm. The 4 of us then got ready to meet the girls in front of their dorm. When we reached their floor, Sunny was just about to open their door. I saw that Jessica had her ankle bandaged while she lean on Tiffany for support. The girls saw us and invited us in. Jessica saw me and I can see how guilty her eyes were. She looked down after she realise that I was staring at her. I was about to follow the rest in when I received a call. I turned around and walked to the elevator.

Jessica's POV:

I heard voices coming out from the elevator as I waited for Sunny to open the door. I turned around to see Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Yuri and Jae walking towards us. When I saw Jae, she was looking at my feet and suddenly I felt so guilty. I remembered how she reminded me to take care and not to stand too long on my feet before I went to the party last night. But because of Taecyeon who wanted me to stick close to him, I practically was standing the whole night. Even when I told him that I needed to sit  for a while, he insisted that I was just being lazy. I saw Jae staring at me and I couldn't bring myself to even look at her in the eye.. Wait a minute, why is she walking away towards the elevator and not coming in? Is she angry at me? Jae, I'm sorry for not listening to your advice. Please don't be mad at me. Why do I feel hurt seeing you walking away like that?

I went down to the lobby to collect the pizzas that I had ordered. After paying the deliveryman, I went up to Jessica's dorm and knocked on the door. Taeyeon opened the door for me and when I walked in, all of them were at the living room except for Jessica. The girls saw the pizza and they went crazy. I asked Tiffany where Jessica was and she said that Jessica's in her room. Before I walked to Jessica's room, I told Sooyoung that one box of the pizza belongs to her alone. I bought 4 boxes in total. Sooyoung smiled brightly at me and showed a thumbs up as she grabbed one box. I took a plate and placed two slices of pizza on it.

I knocked on Jessica's room and I heard her voice asking me to come in. I opened the door and smiled, looking at the bored looking Jessica who were just resting on her bed with her feet on top of her pillow.

"What are you doing all alone here in your room?" I saw the sad look on Jessica's face as I sat down at the chair and placed the pizzas on the table.

"I thought you were angry with me and didn't even want to come into our dorm." Jessica pouted and looked down.

"Why should I be angry with you? I went to collect the pizzas earlier."

"You are not mad at me for getting my ankle swollen after all the care that all of you had taken to look after me? Especially after you specifically told me to take care of myself last night."

"I did remind you about your feet but I believe that you didn't have any control over whatever happened last night. Because knowing you, I think you'll listen to me if you could."

"Seems like you know me quite well." Jessica smirked at me with a mischievous grin on her face.

Suddenly I felt hot after what Jessica said. I shyly scratched my head as she started giggling looking at my reaction. Trying to get out from the awkwardness, I gave Jessica the pizza and asked her to eat it. While she ate, I realized that I didn't bring any water for her so I went out to take a glass of water. The girls were watching a movie while eating the pizza. Sooyoung was still holding on to the box of pizza. When I came back with the water, Jessica was almost done eating.

"Here. Drink this." I gave her the glass of water.

"Thanks, Jae."

I watched her as Jessica gulped down the drink. I looked at her bandaged feet and sighed. "Does it still hurt? What did the doctor say?"

"She scolded me for aggravating my ankle. It hurts when they put ice on it to reduce the swelling but I guess I deserve it."

"No one deserve to be hurt or to go through hurt, Jessica. But since you've already went through the 1st therapy, try to be more careful the next time. I suggest you rest in the dorm until your ankle gets better. Let Tiffany bring back the notes that you need."

"But I'll be bored to death spending time alone in the dorm."

"I didn't hear you complaining when your leg was still in the cast." I teased Jessica who then pouted at me.

"That's because you're always here most of the time to accompany me. But with the upcoming exam and competition, I doubt that you'll have time for me."

"Don't worry. I'll make sure that I'll always have time for you even if it's only a minute." I grinned dorkily while Jessica just giggled at me.

We heard a knock at the door before Tiffany's head poked in.

"All of us were thinking of going to the Hangang river tomorrow. Do you both want to join in?

I looked at Jessica and both of us nodded at the same time. Tiffany asked us to join them outside for the discussions so I helped Jessica up, trying to be careful with the bandaged ankle. Both of us walked to the living room but the couch were occupied by Yuri and Sooyoung. I kicked Sooyoung leg and asked her to sit on the floor beside Sunny as I didn't want Jessica to sit on the floor with her injury. Sooyoung meronged at me but she still went down to sit beside Sunny. I said thanks and was just about to sit on the floor when Yuri stood up and gave her seat tome. I saw Yuri's cheeky grin and I understood her intention of giving me the seat. I showed a fist to her but I said my thanks too.

"So who's going to be in-charge of the food for tomorrow?" Sunny asked as she took out a paper to take notes.

Automatically Yuri, Taeyeon and me pointed to Sooyoung as we laughed at her shocked reaction. The reason we gave was that since Sooyoung is always worried about the food and always eating, she will be in-charge of ensuring that everyone has enough food for the day. Sunny then volunteered to help Sooyoung out.

"Then how about activities? Are you guys going to play around or just sit down to chill?" Yuri's turn to ask.

"I want to hear Jae sing while playing the guitar."

All of us turn to look at Jessica who just looked back at us with a poker face. She suddenly took out her phone and started playing a song from it. I instantly recognized it as my voice singing during one of the live performance of SooTae's radio show. I looked at Jessica and noticed that she was looking at me. I gulped down my saliva looking at her cold stare.

"That's you singing. Am I right, Jae?" I sighed and slowly nodded.

"Daebak!! How did you know it was Jae singing, Sica?" Taeyeon looked at Jessica in amazement.

"Because she had said 'You're beautiful' to me a few times before so I recognized it the moment she said that phrase." Jessica cutely blushed after saying it.

"Oh my god. She said that? Jae, that's so sweet of you. Do you like Jessi by the way?"

I was too shocked by Tiffany's straightforwrdness that I choked on my own saliva. Jessica quickly rubbed my back and shot a glare to Tiffany.

"Of course she likes me. We have become good friends with each other. Right, Jae?"

Hearing the word friends, I stopped coughing and looked up to Jessica who was giving me her angelic smile. With a heavy heart, I nodded lightly and looked away. Trying to control the pain in my heart, I excused myself to the bathroom. Once inside, I looked at myself in the mirror and saw tears falling down my cheeks without me realising. Why did it hurt so much when I already expected that she only sees me as a friend? I quickly washed my face and joined them again in the living room. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Taeyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung observing me quietly.
