It was the day of the charity futsal event. Since our team were the reigning champion, the event was held at our university. The girls were gathered in the gym at the 2nd floor before the start of the match. Everyone was feeling quite relax since it's just a friendly match. The seniors will not be joining us. The ones in the gym right now were me, Taeyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon. Sunny had followed Ms Lee to check on the first aid stuff and also to check if the opposition team needed any help while Yoona had went to the toilet

"Hey guys, I managed to find out something about that Lee Donghae." Hyoyeon gestured for us to gather near her. "Yesterday, I hang out with Eunhyuk at our usual dancing studio and found out that Donghae's ex-girlfriend is now Taecyeon's girlfriend. It seems that she cheated on him with Taec."

Sooyoung: Jinjja?!! Daebak..

Yuri: So there's a possibility that Donghae wants to get his revenge on Taecyeon by stealing Jessica away from him.

Taeyeon: But Sica and Taec are no longer together. Everyone knows that by now and it still doesn't make sense as to why Sica would stick with him. I mean she's already out of the arranged marriage and has also confessed her feelings to Jae.

Jae: Unless she's doing it unwillingly.

All 5 of us suddenly became quiet as we were deep in thoughts until Ms Lee came back with Sunny and Yoona who met them when she was on the way back from the toilet.

"Girls, please start on your warm-up downstairs as the match will start in 30mins time."

All of us went down to warm-up. My eyes went straight to Jessica who was seated beside Tiffany at the bench, along with the rest of the girls. Seeing her, my heart flustered and I automatically smiled. Looking at her smiling and laughing made me realised how much I've missed her. I joined the girls to warm up which was lead by Taeyeon. 15mins later, we were gathered again to get instruction from Ms Lee as I stole glances at Jessica who was getting ready to do her cheerleading routine.

For the starting line-up, Yoona won't be involved yet. Taeyeon will be playing as the pivot with me and Hyoyeon as wingers. Yuri will defend and Sooyoung will be our trusted goalkeeper. As I got ready to enter the pitch, the cheerleaders walked out. I was looking down when I walked and felt someone grabbed my wrist. I looked up and saw Jessica smiling at me.

"Take care and Hwaiting!" She ended it with the fighting pose as I giggled and thanked her.

Everyone was playing casually, trying to just keep posession and at the same time, trying to show off a little bit of their skills. Even the opposition was also not in a hurry to score a goal. Ten minutes into the game, Ms Lee substitued Taeyeon with Yoona and instructed me to take over the pivot position. The ball was now in Yuri's position as she crossed it to Hyoyeon at the side. As I was running forward to the centre of the pitch, I accidentally saw Donghae walking up to Jessica and sat beside her. I saw him passing her something before patting her head and walked off. For that split second of losing my focus, I didn't realised that Hyoyeon had lobbed the ball to my direction. I didn't have enough time to react and missed the chance to head the ball. I apologised to Hyoyeon who just smiled as we ran back to defend since the ball is now in the possession of the opposition.

Once again, I lost focus in defending when I kept glancing at Jessica who was frowning at what seems to be a few pieces of photo. Her expression was as if she was upset. When she suddenly looked up and made eye contact with me, I've never seen so much anger in her eyes before as she continued to glare at me. I looked away and in the process, accidentally bumped into the opposition and made her fell down. The referee took it as a tackle and gave them a free kick near the goal post which they scored from it. As the whistle blew for the end of first half, I hung my head low as I felt guilty for causing the goal.

"Yah, Park Hyun Jae!! Are you daydreaming on the pitch? You better get us a goal back later, understand." Taeyeon nagged at me jokingly the moment I sat beside her on the bench.

"Mianhae. I saw something earlier that made me felt uneasy." I drank the bottled water that was handed over to me from Sunny before standing up and walked towards Jessica. As I sat down beside her, I noticed that she shifted herself slightly away from me. I frowned at her cold attitude. "Sicababy, gwenchana?"

She turned to glare at me as she folded her arms. "I'm sorry. But I'm not interested to have a conversation with a cheater."

"A cheater? Who? You're not talking about me, right?"

"Of course, it's you. Do you see me glaring at anyone else?" She rolled her eyes at me as I frowned at her sarcasm. "Did you get tired of waiting for me, Jae? Or are your words just pure lies?"

I saw there were sadness in her eyes but she was trying to hide it behind her anger. "What's going on, Sicababy? Can you please explain?"

"DON"T CALL ME THAT!! I HATE IT!"

I was shocked to hear Jessica sudden outburst as she stood in front of me with tears in her eyes. By then, everyone was looking at us. Tiffany ran up to Jessica and put her hands over Jessica's shoulders as Tiffany looked at me with a confused expression. I stood up and stand in front of Jessica who was looking down at the moment.

"If I had done something wrong, mianhae."

I walked away as I felt a sharp pain in my heart while I tried to control the tears in my eyes. I joined the rest of the team who were looking at me.

"What happened there, Jae?" Yuri asked with a concerned look.

I just shook my head and tried to smile. Before anyone could ask further, the referee blew the whistle to signal the start of the second half. I was about to walk out to the pitch when Taeyeon grabbed my wrist.

"Are you sure you can play, Jae?"

"Of course. I need to get a goal, remember?" I tapped Taeyeon's shoulder and removed my hand from her grip.

Instructions had been given for Yoona to be the pivot this time round while I'll play as the winger along with Hyoyeon. The girls played with more passion this time round as we searched for an equaliser.

Sunny's POV:

I heard the commotion earlier between Sica and Jae at the cheerleaders bench. I was shocked myself, hearing Sica's loud voice since she doesn't really shout at people. I saw Jae walking away, looking very solemn. The girls gathered around her to question but the referee had blown the whistle. As I watched Jae playing right now, it seems that she's trying hard to score a goal. From my opinion, it's way too hard. She was practically running everywhere to get the ball. Even though she looked very determined from the outside, something seems a bit off with the way her body is reacting. When she stopped running at certain point, I saw her holding on to her chest area. She was playing as the winger on the side that was nearer to us compared to Hyo on the other side of the pitch so I was able to notice her facial expression. It doesn't look good though. I have to inform Ms Lee about this.

Taeyeon's POV:

As I watched Jae walking to the pitch, I couldn't help but feel uneasy. I didn't know what happened earlier between Sica and her but Jae really looked upset when she came back to us. I saw Sunny looking very serious at Jae's direction and a few minutes later, I saw her talking to Ms Lee. I heard Ms Lee asking me to get ready to be substitued so I turned behind to grab my boots that I had taken off when I was substitued earlier. The next thing I heard was Soo's voice shouting Jae's name.

Jae's POV:

As I walked on to the pitch, I reminded myself to remain focus and to try my best to score an equaliser. I'm not going to let the team down, especially Taeng. Focus, Jae. You need to pay back for the mistakes earlier. But why did Sica said I was a cheater? Why was she so angry at me and look like she hated me? What happened? Everything seems okay earlier, before we started the match. But why did she suddenly changed? Arrgghh... focus, focus. I need to get the ball but why do I feel pain in my chest? Why does everything seem to be moving slowly? Why was Sica angry at me? It was Donghae. She changed after he gave her some photos. What photos were those? Why.... Why... does everything look blurry? Why... Why.. is it getting darker?

"Jae!!!!"

Everyone gathered around the body that was now lying on the pitch.

"Don't crowd around her!!" Sunny's voice could be heard throughout the school gym. "Yoona, call the ambulance right now."

Yoona nodded and quickly ran to grab a phone from Ms Lee. Seohyun had came over with the AED equipment while Sunny was doing CPR after she didn't get any response from Jae. By then everyone had shifted away from the scene.

"Taetae, what is Seohyun carrying and what is Sunny doing to Jae? Is she going to be alright?" Tiffany asked as she gripped Taeyeon's arm. Jessica just stood beside her, frozen as she watched the scene in front of her.

"Sunny is giving Jae CPR. From now on, every second is critical." Taeyeon replied as she swiped away the tears that was flowing down her cheeks. "The equipment that Seohyun brought is the AED which is an Automated External Defibrillator, commonly used to treat sudden cardiac arrest. Hopefully it's just a normal fainting."

"Oh my gosh... Please don't let anything happen to Jae." Tiffany clasped her hands together as she heard sobbings from the other side of her.

"Jae, please be okay. I'm sorry for shouting at you. Please.." Jessica was sobbing softly as she walked towards the unmoved body of Jae. She kneeled down opposite Sunny, near to Jae's head and hold Jae's hand. "Jae, saranghae. Jebal..."

"Sica..." my voice was weak.

"She's awake. Jae, can you hear me? If you do, nod your head." I nod ny head slowly before closing my eyes again.

The ambulance arrived soon as they quickly transferred Jae's body on to the stretcher. Taeyeon and Ms Lee followed them into the ambulance while the cheerleading coach took over the situation at the gym. Due to the unforeseen circumstances, everything was put to a stop. All the students were told to disperse while the opposition them was lead back to their bus.

The girls were gathered at a corner of the gym with everyone in silence, not sure of what to say or what to do. Everyone had tears in their eyes as they couldn't even looked at each other. Yuri was the first one to voice out.

"Sunny, will Jae be alright?"

Sunny looked up and sighed as tears started to flow down, Sooyoung quickly put her arms on Sunny's shoulders to try and comfort her. "I'm not sure, Yul. I really don't know. I was actually very scared when Jae didn't respond to me and I couldn't feel her pulse. That's why I quickly did the CPR. Luckily she regain consciouness after Sica came over. I just hope that whatever we did earlier is enough to save Jae."

"You did your best, Bunny. All we could do now is just pray hard for her. By the way, instead of being all worried here, let's go to the hospital."

Everyone packed their bags and make a move to the bus stop. Tiffany has been trying to call Taeyeon to ask her for any updates on Jae but Taeyeon didn't answer her call. Yuri then told Tiffany to just leave Taeyeon a message telling her that all of them were on the way to the hospital. Yuri said that Taeyeon might be too stressed out to answer her call. In the bus, everyone sat together with their girlfriends while Tiffany sat with Jessica. Everyone was deep in their own thoughts when Tiffany's phone suddenly rang.

As everyone looked anxiously at Tiffany, she put her phone on the speaker mode.

"Taetae.."

"Fany-ah.." It was clear to everyone from Taeyeon's voice that she had been crying since it was hoarse. "Palli... I... I need you here."

Tiffany bite on her lips to control her sadness. It broke her heart hearing Taeyeon's voice begging for her presence but she knew she need to be strong. At least for Taeyeon's sake. "Taetae-ah.. We are on our way. We'll be reaching soon. How's Jae?"

"I don't know. She's still in the treatment room with the doctors. I'm now at the hospital lobby. I can't stand being in front of the room and worry about Jae. Ms Lee ask me to go out and get some fresh air. She is still waiting there and will call me if there's anything."

"Okay, Taetae. Just stay at the lobby. We are alighting from the bus now. See you soon."

The girls rushed to the hospital entrance the moment they came down from the bus. They were pratically running as fast as they could. Even Jessica was running along. Hyoyeon and Yoona was the first to reach as they scanned the lobby to look for Taeyeon. They saw her at a corner, sitting at a table. Taeyeon was hugging herself while she looked down, staring at the floor.

"Taeng!" Hyoyeon called her and walked to her direction. By then, the rest of the girls had just reached the entrance door.

Taeyeon looked up and the moment she saw her friends, she started to cry again. It was only when Tiffany came up to her and hugged her, the crying then turned into soft sobs. Everyone grabbed a seat and sat at the table as they waited for Taeyeon to calm down. When Taeyeon was about to talk, her phone rang.

"Annyeonghaseyo.. Yes, Uncle Park.. Yes, yes.. I'll do just that... Okay... I understand." Taeyeon looked at Yuri as her expression looked worried.

The girls looked at Taeyeon after she put down the phone. Before anyone could ask anything, she quickly suggested for everyone to follow her to where Ms Lee was. Just when the girls reached Ms Lee, a doctor came out from the room.

"May I know who's in charge of the student inside?" The doctor asked.

"I am. I'm her futsal coach. She fainted during a match earlier. Is she okay?" Ms Lee answered.

"She 's lucky that medical treatment was given to her quickly. At first we thought it was a cardiac arrest but it seems that it's just vasovagal syncope. We still need to monitor her progress though."

"But why was there no pulse and no response from her after she fainted? I did the CPR on her thinking that it could be SCA. We even got the AED on standby." Sunny asked.

"Well, Sunny. What you did there was great, young lady." Everyone looked at Mrs Choi who had exited from the room. "I think the reason she didn't response to you was because she was knocked out. There's swelling on her right side which probably means that she hit her head on the floor when she fainted. You couldn't find her pulse because there was a momentary stoppage of the heartbeat."

Sooyoung and Sunny hugged Mrs Choi and called her 'Omma' as she tried to ensure everyone that Jae should be fine. As the girls listen to whatever that Mrs Choi said, Yuri pulled Taeyeon aside, away from the rest.

"What did Uncle Park say to you? Is he planning to bring Jae back to the States?" Yuri asked worriedly.

"He knew about this incident and asked me to look after Jae while he will try to find ways to fly back. He ask me to keep him updated every few hours."

"How did Uncle Park knew about it?"

"I told him." Both Taeyeon and Yuri turned behind to come face to face with Mr Choi. "Mrs Choi was the one who received Jae when she arrived in the ambulance. She informed me about it and I called Jae's Appa to inform him. I've received some instructions from him to monitor Jae's progress. By the way, I need to ask you and all your friends some questions about Jae so why don't we join the rest of them."

Both of us nodded our heads as we walked to where the girls were gathered. Ms Lee had followed Mrs Choi to settle some paperwork since Jae will need to be hospitalised. We saw the other doctor pushing out the bed with a sleeping Jae on it with the help of some nurses. They will be transferring Jae to her ward. The girls were seated at the seats along the corridor as they saw Mr Choi walking towards them with Taeyeon and Yuri.

"I'm Dr Choi who will be in-charge of Jae during her hospitalisation stay. Even though she's currently out of danger right now, we will still need to monitor her progress for a while to ensure that there's no underlying problem in her health. I have some questions that I need to ask so that I can access Jae's condition better. Is it okay with all of you if we find a suitable place to sit down and have a little chit chat?" The girls nodded their heads in silence. "By the way, I'm also Sooyoung's Appa so you girls can call me Uncle Choi if you want to."

We all moved to the lobby and sat at the table where we found Taeyeon earlier. It was a big round table as Sooyoung sat beside her dad followed by Taeyeon, Yuri, Yoona, Seohyun, Hyoyeon, Jessica, Tiffany and lastly Sunny. No one dared to say anything as they waited for Uncle Choi to begin questioning.

Uncle Choi: Firstly, did anyone saw what really happened to Jae on the pitch?

Sooyoung: Appa, I did. Actually I was the one who passed the ball to Jae before she fainted. It was a high ball and Jae chested it down. But before the ball landed on her feet, I saw her collapsed to her right side with her hands on her chest.

Sunny: Appa, I also noticed that Jae has been clutching her chest area a few times before she collapsed. Since she was playing nearer to our side, I was able to notice her facial expression which seems like she was in pain. That's why I quickly informed Ms Lee about it and Taeyeon was supposed to replace her. Who knows Jae will collapse before that.

Uncle Choi: Hhhmmm... Chested down the ball before collapsing? Holding her chest area with painful expression? I will need to check on her heart then. Has she been eating and resting well? She looks quite fragile at the moment. Even though fainting will make you look that way, she look more... How should I say this? Exhausted?

Yuri: She was sick on Tuesday. She had a slight fever and also headache.

Taeyeon: Come to think of it, she did looked tired lately. And she keep saying that she's not hungry or she doesn't have any appetite.

Suddenly, everything became quiet as they realised that Jae hasn't really been well for some time. They took turn to look at each other and realised that everyone had a guilty expression on them. They felt guilty for not being more observant about Jae's well-being.

Uncle Choi: Tired and loss of appetite.. Hhmmm.. Is she going through a lot of stress lately? From school work or emotionally like relationship problem or something?

Everyone turned to look at Jessica instantly but no one said anything. Uncle Choi followed their gaze and roughly understood the situation.

Uncle Choi: Well, girls. Thank you for the feedbacks. All I can say is that Jae's condition is stable at the moment but it's best not to visit her today.She needs plenty of rest and I suggest if you want to see her, do it tomorrow. For now, you should all go back and rest too.

Taeyeon: Is emotional stress one of the reason to why Jae might have fainted?

Uncle Choi who was about to leave the table, turned to look at Taeyeon while the rest of the girls did the same.

Uncle Choi: It could be. Jae's body had showned signs of exhaustion and there's a chance of her collapsing because of that. With the additional emotional stress, it'll just speed up the process of fainting. But at least, it's not a sudden cardiac arrest. She might not have survived it if that happens.

Everyone had their jaws dropped as Uncle Choi walked away. All of them couldn't imagined if something so critical could happen to Jae.

"I shouldn't have let Jae participate in the game. As the captain, I should have known that my teammates were not fully fit for a game." Taeyeon looked down on the floor as Tiffany hugged her from the sides.

"I should have taken better care of Jae when she was sick that day. Instead of checking on her, I just left the porridge on the table and went back to class after leaving her a message to eat it." Yuri leaned her head on Yonna's shoulders, feeling guilty.

"I should't have eaten too much causing me to have a stomach upset and Jae had to cover for me during the radio show. If I was not sick, Jae could have rest in the dorm with Yuri." Sooyoung pouted as Sunny just her back to comfort her.

"Everyone... I don't think Jae will be happy if she sees us blaming ourselves for whatever happened. She would feel bad and it'll only adds on to her stress. We need to be strong for Jae like how she's always been there for us." Hyoyeon said as she tried to lift up the mood of everyone. "Let's go back to the dorm for now. We'll come and visit Jae tomorrow morning."

Just when everyone was about to leave the table, Jessica voiced out her concern. "Will Jae be fine by herself here?"

"Since when did you ever care about Jae?" Taeyeon glared at Jessica while Tiffany tried to stop her. "I'm sorry if I sound harsh but that's the truth. For the past few weeks, Jae has always been alone. She kept to herself most of the time. Where were you all this while?" Taeyeon ended her sentence and walked away, leaving the rest of the girls stranded there.

Soon, one by one started to walk away towards the hospital entrance to exit from the building except for Tiffany. She approached Jessica and put her arms on Jessica's shoulders.

"Please forgive Taetae. She's just stressed out about the whole sitution. I think Jae should be in safe hands since Uncle Choi is here to look after her. We'll come over tomorrow to see Jae, okay." Jessica nodded her head as she followed Tiffany out to the bus stop where the rest of the girls had gathered.

Yoona and Seohyun voluntereed to sleep at the dorm with the rest so that they can follow them to visit Jae the next day. The journey back in the bus was of total silence as Jessica had to sit alone since the rest sat with their respective partners. She imagined Jae being all alone all this time while the rest were with their girlfriends and it made her sad thinking about it. When the girls were walking to their dorm building after passing the university entrance, Jessica suddenly stopped and kneeled down. Sunny and Sooyoung who were walking near her quickly went over to her side.

"I'm sorry... I'm really sorry.. I didn't mean to cause any hurt to Jae." Jessica started crying as she shake her head.

"Sica, it's okay. Everything will be fine. Let's go back and rest, okay." Sunny said as she tried to persuade Jessica to stand up.

"It's all my fault. I caused Jae additionally emotional stress. If I didn't call her a cheater, this won't have happened."

"CHEATER?!!! Why would you say that about Jae?" Sooyoung asked as she also tried to lift Jessica up.

"Because Donghae...." Jessica couldn't finish her sentence as Sooyoung suddenly started running to the rest of the girls who had walked ahead and was seen to be telling them about something.

Soon the girls all gathered around Jessica and Sunny who was looking at them with a confused look.

"Why did you call Jae a cheater? Is that why you shouted at her earlier? Did you know your actions really made Jae upset? Because of you, Jae collapsed." Taeyeon could no longer hold on to her anger as she kept attacking Jessica who was still kneeling on the ground.

"Mianhae.. Mian.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt Jae. It's all because of the photos. I got angry and shouted at Jae." Jessica continued crying.

"Taetae, that's enough. Everyone is being sensitive right now. I'm sure Jessi didn't do it on purpose." Tiffany helped Jessica up with Sunny's help.

"Sica, you mentioned photos. What photos were you talking about?" Yuri asked.

"And you also mentioned Donghae earlier. What has he got to do with this?" Sooyoung added on.

"He gave me these photos during the game and that's why I...." once again Jessica couldn't finished her sentence when Taeyeon grabbed the photos that she had taken out to show them.

"Where the hell did he get all these photos from?" Taeyeon skimmed through the photos and frowned.

"Wow, that lady is really beautiful. Is that Jae's girlfriend?" Hyoyeon blurted out with a poker face.

"Yah!!! How can they be a couple when.... Wait a minute. Sica, you thought Jae and her are together?" Taeyeon suddenly asked with a panic tone. Taeyeon frowned when Jessica answered with a nod. "We need to settle this once and for all. Everyone, let's gather at my dorm now."
