The girls and I were on our way to the hospital after training. Me, Sooyoung and Taeyeon were in one cab while Yuri, Yoona, Seohyun and Hyoyeon were sharing another cab. I keep bugging Taeyeon to message Tiffany to keep us updated about Jessica's condition. I think she got irritated at one point that she shoved her phone into my face and asked me to do it myself instead. I ended up apologising and promised to keep still while we waited for Tiffany's reply. We were almost reaching the hospital when Taeyeon said that Tiffany had replied her as she showed us the message.

To Taetae:

Jessi had a small fracture in her ankle and needed it to be put in a cast. She might have to stay the night here.

Tiffany had included the ward number in the message so all of us proceeded straight. When we reach the room, Jessica was laying on the bed with her short leg cast on, chatting to Sunny and Tiffany. All of us came in and greeted each other. I went up to Jessica and smiled at her.

"Gwenchana? Does it still hurt?"

"A bit." She tried to smile but I know she was just trying to act strong.

Hyoyeon suddenly suggested for all of us to draw on Jessica's cast and the girls all went crazy. They got all excited and started to draw on the cast, causing Jessica to laugh. I just looked from the side but I grew worried when I saw how rough they were handling the cast and there was a slight change on Jessica's expression.

"Yah! Yah!.. Be careful with the cast. You might hurt Jessica." I raised my voice a bit louder than normal, making the girls stop and looked at me. I suddenly got embarassed from all the attention. I smiled awkwardly at them while I scratched the back of my head and bowed lightly to them. They laughed at me and continued with the drawings but this time with extra care.

"Oh my god, Jess. Are you okay?"

All of us looked at the door and saw Taecyeon there. He walked in like he owned the hospital and ignored the rest of the girls as if they were invincible. The girls were clearly unhappy to see him as they moved away from the bed except for Tiffany.

"Don't pretend like you care, Taec. We were all in the same sports hall when the incident happen but you just continued playing your futsal." Tiffany folded her arms as she stared at Taecyeon.

"For god sake Tiffany, I'v got my responsibilities to the team. I'm their vice captain. Obviously, I need to set a good example to them by keeping my focus on the practice match. We've got a competition coming up in 5 weeks time." Tiffany was about to answered him back when Jessica held her wrist to stop her.

"It's okay, Tiff. Everything's fine now. Taecyeon is already here to see me because he cares." Taecyeon smiled proudly as he gave Tiffany a sarcastic smirk.

Seeing how Jessica defended Taecyeon, I suddenly felt upset. I walked up to Taeyeon and whispered to her that I'm going to the cafe downstairs for a while because I needed a drink. The truth is I just couldn't bring myself to stay in the room after seeing the interaction between Taecyeon and Jessica. Before Taeyeon could say anything, I left the room and proceeded to the cafe.

For the past 10mins, I was sitting at a table in the cafe's terrace, facing the hospital's park and drinking a cup of hot coffee when I was joined by the rest of the girls. I saw that all the girls  were there and Taeyeon didn't look happy at all. As they sat down, Tiffany started to tell me what happened when I was gone. It seems that after I left, Taecyeon sat beside Jessica's bed and ordered Tiffany to bring a cup of water for him, causing Taeyeon to be pissed off. They ended up having a small arguement before Jessica stopped them. Jessica then pleaded Tiffany to get the water for Taecyeon.

"If not because of Jessi, I'll never get that guy his drink. I don't understand what Jessi sees in him. He's such an arrogant jerk."

"From what Sica told me before, it seems that during high school, Taecyeon was the one who protected her from the students who hated her because of her cold personality. He was also the first guy who approached her and asked her to be his girlfriend. The students were afraid of him because he was rich and influential. Remember how difficult it was for us to get to know her better, Fany?" Tiffany nodded in agreement to what Sunny said.

"But still, that's not the right way to treat others just because he's rich. Even Jae who is... Oouchh." I stepped on Taeyeon feet to prevent her from continuing talking. She turned to look at me and saw my deadly stare.

"What happen, Taetae?"

"I accidentally hit my knee against the table again."

Before anyone could continue talking, Tiffany phone rang. I looked at the watch and saw that it was almost 11pm. I informed Yuri who immediately realised that Yoona and Seohyun need to go back soon. I told Yuri and Hyoyeon to go back straight to the dorm after dropping Yoona and Seohyun home. Hyoyeon was also staying in the campus dorm but with other students. The four of them then left to grab a cab. By then, Tiffany had put down the phone and told us that it was Jessica who called. Jessica said that Taecyeon had left about 5 mins ago and told us to go back to the dorm to rest too. I then notice Tiffany sighed.

"Is there a problem Tiffany?"

"It's just that I'm worried about Jessica all alone here, Jae. Even though she's a sleepy head, but she won't sleep in an unfamiliar place especially if she's alone. I thought Taecyeon will volunteer to stay the night to accompany her but I guess there's nothing that I can rely on that guy. I wished I could acompany her but I've already promised my parents that I'm going home tomorrow morning and I haven't even pack my stuff to bring home. How about you Sunny?"

"Sooyoung's parents are going to fetch us for a drive to the countryside tomorrow morning at 7am. It's okay though. I could stay the night here and leave early tomorrow to go back to the dorm to freshen up."

"Why don't the rest of you go back to the dorm and let me accompany Jessica? I'm free tomorrow anyways." I said as the girls looked at me. They finally agreed as Taeyeon promised to come by tomorow to bring me a fresh set of clothings. I waved them goodbye as they left the cafe while I proceed back to Jessica's ward.

I was standing in front of her ward and notice that the light was still on. I knocked on her door and heard her voice, asking me to come in. She was shocked to see me there as I walked towards her bed.

"How come you are still here? Where are the rest?"

"They went back to the dorm. I'm here to accompany you for the night."

"It's okay, Jae. Don't trouble yourself. I'll be fine here. There are nurses around to help me if I need anything."

"But they won't accompany you to sleep. Tiffany said that you can't sleep in places that you are not familiar with. Especially when you are alone. So I'll be the only familiar thing around here so that you can have a good night rest." I smiled dorkily at her, causing her to giggle.

"Thank you Jae. I'm so sorry to trouble you. I was just planning to watch movie all night and sleep when I get back to the dorm tomorrow."

"It's not a problem. I'm free tomorrow. By the way, have you informed your parents about your injury?"

She shook her head. "I didn't want to worry my mum. Anyway, it's just a small fracture. The doctor said that I should be fine in 2 weeks time."

Suddenly, both of us had nothing else to say as we just looked at each other. Realising the awkward atmosphere around us, I walked up to her bed and asked if she needed any help to readjust herself so that she'll be more comfortable. I saw her cast was full of drawings from the girls and we both laughed at all the small notes that the girls wrote on it.

"Jae, you haven't draw anything on my cast yet." I nodded and took out a marker to write on it.

'Get Well Soon, my Angel. ^A^'

"Angel?" I smiled at her dorkily as I sat down on the chair beside her bed. "Jae, you said you are free tomorrow. Then how come Taecyeon told me that he had extra futsal practices tomorrow?"

"Futsal practices? We don't have any extra practices tomorrow." I saw Jessica frowned. "Maybe it's only for the men's team. They are the defending  champion anyways." Jessica nodded her head.

"I saw that you are playing for the first team. You must be really good at it because Ms Lee rarely chooses new members as first team players. Last year, the women's team came in third and hopefully this year we will be champions."

"I'm not that good but everyone in the team is working hard to achieve that goal. Jessica, It's already past midnight. Why don't you get some rest? I'll be here so don't worry."

"Do you want to share the bed with me? You're going to get aches all over your body if you sleep on the chair and the couch doesn't look comfortable too."

"Huh? It's.. It's.. okay. I.. I can sleep on the floor.. I mean on the couch." I mentally cursed myself for stuttering while Jessica just giggled at me as she pulled up the blanket to cover herself.

I walked towards the couch which was just behind the chair and laid down. I turned to look at Jessica and realised that she had dozed off. I chuckled silently at the sleeping beauty and try to get some rest myself.

I was woken up from someone tapping me on my head. I opened my eyes and saw Taeyeon with Yuri grinning at me from the opposite side of the bed. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. Wait a minute. Opposite side of the bed? I blinked my eyes rapid and was about to straighten up my body when I realised that I couldn't move my left hand. I turned to my left and saw Jessica holding on to my hand tightly. She was still sleeping soundly though.

I heard Yuri and Taeyeon giggling in front of me so I turned around to tell them to lower down their voices but I guess it was too late as I felt Jessica moved. She slowly opened her eyes and both of our eyes met.

"Good morning." I smiled at her as she shyly return my smile.

Jessica then realised the position that she was sleeping in and quickly released my hand. She sat up straight and was shocked to see Taeyeon and Yuri  in the room too. They greeted each other as the girls sat on the couch.

"I thought you were sleeping on the couch. How come you ended up on the chair, Jae?" Jessica had a confused look on her.

I tried to to think back about what happened last night as I looked up to the ceiling. "Ahhh.. I remember now. I heard you turning and tossing on the bed and realised that your blanket had dropped to the floor. You must have felt cold so I came over to cover you and that was when you grabbed my hand tightly, not letting it go. I didn't want to wake you up so I just sat on the chair and doze off."

Jessica blushed as I told her what happened last night. She keep saying sorry for causing me discomfort as I assured her that it's fine. I then excused myself to freshen up in the bathroom and changed into the new set of clothes that Taeyeon brought along for me. When I came back, I saw a doctor and two nurses standing near to Jessica's bed. The doctor informed that the nurses will assist Jessica to freshen up as I saw them bringing her to the bathroom. While Jessica was not around, I asked the doctor about her condition.

"Basically, she should be able to remove her cast after 2 weeks followed by a weekly therapy session for the next 4 weeks. It should completely heal in about 6 weeks time."

"Is there anything that we have to be careful with in terms of food intake or any extra measures to ensure that she has a speedy recovery? How about when she needs to bathe or use the toilet by herself? Anything that we should do to take care of her cast?" I asked further.

"Since she doesn't have any food allergy, it shouldn't be any problem concerning food intake. Just make sure that there's no added pressure when she still has her cast on. If she needs to bathe or use the toilet, ensure that the cast is always dry and avoid getting it wet. You can wrap the cast with transparent sheet to prevent any water from going in. Another thing to remember is that it might get uncomfortable sometimes with the cast so the patient might get agitated easily."

As I listened to what the doctor says, I saw both Yuri and Taeyeon smiling at me. After the doctor left, we sat down on the couch and waited for Jessica to come back.

"Hey Jae, I've never seen you this anxious about anyone before. The way you asked the questions to the doctor make it sound like you are going to take care of her your whole life." Taeyeon laughed at her own remarks.

"Do you like her that much, Jae?"

I looked at Yuri and sighed. "I'm still unsure, Yul. Part of me wants to admit my feelings for her but part of me doesn't want to bother her relationship with Taecyeon. I don't even know how she feels about me. All I can do is just to be there for her and see how things go."

"I would have preferred her to be with you than that arrogant jerk. Just because he's rich, he thinks he can order people around is it? And the way he treat Jessica, I don't think she deserve it."

I was about to reply to Taeyeon when I saw Jessica coming out from the bathroom with the help of the nurses. The 3 of us then went up to them and took over. The next hour were spend doing some administrative stuff and collecting Jessica's medicine. Since Jessica was still not use to handle the crutches, she only use one of it on her right side while holding on to me on her left side. Taeyeon and Yuri helped to carry her stuff and also the other crutch. Yuri had asked her driver to send her and Taeyeon earlier to the hospital so we took the car back to the dorm.
