After all administrative matters have been settled, Taeyeon and Yuri brought me to our campus dorm. As I walked in, I saw a tall girl sitting at the couch, munching on a packet of potato chips.

"Yah, shikshin. When did you arrive?" Taeyeon sat beside that girl and gestured for me to come forward. "Soo, this is Jae. She's my best friend who just transferred to our school starting this year. She'll be using the empty room. Jae, this is Sooyoung. The one that I've been telling you before."

"Annyeonghaseyo, Park Hyun Jae imnida." I took out my hands for a handshake as Sooyoung grabbed it and introduce herself. After the short introduction, Yuri brought me to my room so that I can unpack my stuff. After I was done with unpacking, I went out to look around the dorm.

My room was facing Yuri's room and beside Taeyeon's room while Sooyoung's room was beside Yuri's and opposite Taeyeon's. I went into Yuri's room but I didn't find anyone inside So I went to Taeyeon's room. Taeyeon was sitting at one corner of her room with a headset on. Seems like she's listening to something soothing as she had her eyes close. I went in and tap her shoulder.

"Taeng, busy?" Taeyeon shook her head and took off her headset.

"I'm just listening to some music while thinking about my radio programme. Where's Yul?"

"I went to her room but I didn't see her."

"Did you check behind the small door under her bed? Yul has some of her exercise equipment in there and will spend some time working out. Why don't you go find her and we'll all meet in Sooyoung's room."

I nodded and walked out towards Yuri's room. Just like what Taeyeon told me, I found Yuri in the small room under her bed, doing sit-ups. I told her about what Taeyeon said and Yuri replied that she'll join us once she has washed up. I left her room and proceed to Sooyoung's room. Taeyeon and Sooyoung was seated on the floor when I came. Since I just got to know Sooyoung, I was still awkward around her as I just lean against her bedroom door.

"Hey Jae, come in. Don't have to stand there. Me and Soo are discussing about the radio programme."

I nodded shyly to Sooyoung who was munching on a sandwich. Even though I don't know much about her, it's obvious to me that Sooyoung is really a shikshin. As I sat down, Sooyoung introduce more about herself and we exchangd stories as we waited for Yuri to join us.

"What did I miss?" Yuri came in with a towel in her head as she rubbed her hair to dry it.

"We were trying to come out with ideas for the radio programme but seems like most of it is the common stuff used before." Taeyeon sighed as Yuri sat beside her.

"How about song request or song dedication?" Yuri asked.

"It's what most of our classmates are doing. We wanted to do something different." Sooyoung said as she opened a new pack of chips.

"How about doing anonymous confession of love along with song request?" I said as Sooyoung, Taeyeon and Yuri looked at me with a blank face. "Anonymous confession is for students to express their feelings for someone without having the fear of rejection or just a place for them to release their pent up emotions. They can request a song from both of you or you guys can suggest a song to go along with their confession."

"That's a good idea. Not many students have the courage to say out what they want as they are afraid of the consequences so since this is anonymous, they can freely express themselves." Sooyoung showed me a thumbs up.

As all of us continue chatting away, I got to know Sooyoung better and she's really funny like what Taeyeon said. Sooyoung's parents are doctors and worked at a private hospital. They are also volunteers at one of the orphanage. Soon all of us decide to get some rest as tomorrow will be the first day of school. Taeyeon reminded me about the futsal tryout too when I walked to the shared toilet in the dorm to have a shower first before going off to sleep.

As Sooyoung, Taeyeon and I walked towards the school sports hall, I notice there's more female students than male students in the vicinity. Both the men and the women futsal team are having their tryouts today for new intakes. We saw Yuri talking to a blonde girl near the gym entrance. Yuri had already arrived earlier than us since her school is just next to the sports hall. We went up to them and greeted each other. Yuri introduced the blonde girl as Kim Hyoyeon who is her classmate and also part of the women futsal team. We talked for a while as we make our way to the benches nearby. At the sides, I saw some girls in the cheerleading outfits since the cheerleading team are also having the tryouts. As more and more students walked in to have the seats behind us, I was getting nervous at the competition that I was going to face.

"Hey Taeng. I didn't know that futsal are so popular here. How am I suppose to compete with such a big crowd?"

"Jae, don't be nervous. Most of the girls here are not even joining the tryouts. They're here to oogle at our men futsal team players. They are the popular ones in our school." Taeyeon pointed her finger towards a group of boys who seems like they're doing some warm-up exercise but to my eyes, they're just trying to flex their muscles.

"A lot of the girls here are dying to be their girlfriends so the girls here most probably will be trying out for the cheerleading team so that they can date with the popular guys." Sooyoung replied as she pointed towards the cheerleading groups.

I was nodding away to all their explanations when my view was suddenly blocked by someone. I looked up and saw Yoona smiling at Yuri who was sitting beside me. Yoona introduce Seo Juhyun, better known as Seohyun, her bestfriend and classmate that she brought along. I notice Hyoyeon was staring at Seohyun with slightly open. I grinned at Hyoyeon who noticed me and quickly covered .

"Yoongie, are you here for the tryouts too?" Yuri asked as I stood up to let Yoona have my seat while I just sat on the floor. Yoona was shocked by my action and asked me to have my seat back but I ensured her that I'm fine with sitting on the floor. Seeing my actions, Hyoyeon also stood up and offered her seat to Seohyun. She then joined me on the floor. I just chuckled at Hyoyeon who shyly looked down.

"I'm thinking of trying for the futsal team while Seohyun wants to try for the cheerleading team."

As we continued chatting, the teachers-in-charge came and asked the students who are trying out to gather to one side while the team players gathered another side. The girls and boys were separated to different sides of the hall. I went off with Yoona beside me as we listened to all the instructions given. Like what Taeyeon said, not all of the girls came for the tryouts. There were only 3 other students trying out beside me and Yoona. The futsal team players were told to have a short practice match among themselves just to demonstrate to the new students. Since the women fustal team only have 8 players, they had a 4 vs 4 match. I saw that Sooyoung was playing as a goalkeeper while Yuri, Hyoyeon and Taeyeon as outfield players. The other team seems to have senior students as their teamwork and skills showed that they've been playing together for some time. While looking at the match, I glanced over to the men futsal team as they were also having a practice match. The men fustal team have slightly more players as I counted there were 10 of them. Once the practice match was over, the teacher, Ms Lee, came and asked the five of us to introduce ourselves.

"Annyeonghaseyo, my name is Park Hyun Jae. I'm a 2nd year student in Interior Design, transferring from LA university. I've actually been studying in Korea previously up to first year of high school until something happened which resulted in me moving back to LA. I used to play futsal in middle school and high school." I just introduced myself briefly and was just about to sit down again when I heard Ms Lee talked.

"Captain of SM middle school futsal team, 2 times MVP of the year, top scorer in the first yr competition, top in total assists throughout the competition for 3 continuous yrs. I think you've introduced yourself too briefly, Hyun Jae." Ms Lee smiled at me as she looked up, holding a folder that she was reading from earlier. I shyly nodded and scratched the back of my head. From the corner of my eyes, I can see Taeyeon and Yuri giggling at me. They know that I don't really like to talk much about myself. The other students just look at me like I'm some kind of alien as I smiled awkwardly at them. When the students were done with their introductions, we were told to do some drills by running around the futsal court 2 times, dribbling the ball around the cones and jumping over the hurdle. We were told to repeat the sequence for 4 times. As I was doing my 3rd sequence, I saw that some of the students were already out of breathe and Yoona was already lagging behind me. I slowly jogged around the court to wait for Yoona to catch up. As she came up beside me, I can clearly see how exhausted she was that she can barely return my smile.

"Yoona, gwenchana?" She nodded lightly. "Come on, follow me. Hwaiting."

I slowed down my tempo so that Yoona could keep up with me but not to slow to allow other students to overtake us. We were the first two to finish up the drills. We high-fived each other after the completion. After all the students were done, Ms Lee asked if there were any students who wanted to withdraw as she will be starting on a more strenuous drill. Hearing that, all the girls except me and Yoona raised their hands and left. After the 3 students left, Ms Lee turned to us and said that actually there is no more drills to be done. She only said that to test the mental strength as players must always be prepared to work hard for their games. She welcomed both me and Yoona to the team.

As soon as the session was over, Taeyeon and the rest of the players came over to congratulate us. Soon everyone went off, leaving me, Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Yuri, Yoona and Hyoyeon. We were waiting for Seohyun to end her cheerleading tryout as we just watched from the bench.

"Jae-unnie, thanks for just now." Yoona smiled at me as I just nodded to acknowledge her.

"What happened just now?" Yuri asked as she looked at both me and Yoona curiously.

I smirked at Yuri, sensing that she was feeling a bit jealous and I thought of a way to . "It's only for me and Yoona to know and for you not to know at all." I stuck out my tongue at Yuri as she tried to grab my collar.

"Yah!! Are you trying to flirt with my girlfriend?" Yuri stared at me.

"Jae-unnie was just trying to encourage me to continue with the drill just now. I was totally exhausted at the 3rd sequence but she slowed down her pace and asked me to follow her." Yoona explained as I continued to merong at Yuri. I was almost flicked at the forehead when I saw something from the corner of my eyes. As fast as I could, I pushed Yuri aside and ran towards a falling body who was giving out a dolphin-like scream, sliding forward to catch her in my arms. Both of us landed on the floor with her on top of me and as I opened my eyes, I thought I saw an angel.

"Gwenchana?" I asked the girl who was clearly still shocked. She nodded her head but still continue to stare at me. "If you're okay, can you maybe at least move your body away so that I can stand up?" The girl then blushed when she realised how awkward our position is and quickly stood up.

"Oh my gosh, Jessi!! Are you okay? I'm so sorry. The girls didn't realise that the floor was a bit slippery when we were trying to do the pyramid formation." Another girl came up beside me and starts talking loudly to the other girl. Taeyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Hyoyeon soon arrived and asked me what happened. I told them that when Yuri was about to flick my head, I saw one of the girls who were part of the pyramid formation was not being stable and realised that the girl on top was going to fall. So I rushed over without thinking much.

"Tiffany, is everything okay then?" I heard Taeyeon asked the loud voice girl who smiled at her and nodded. I noticed that Tiffany has a beautiful eye smile and Taeyeon was blushing a bit when Tiffany smiled at her. Suddenly I remembered something but decided to find out later as Taeyeon introduced me and Yoona to Tiffany and Jessica, the girl with the dolphin-like scream. At that time, Jessica's face was still red as she bowed lightly to us. I'm not sure if she's blushing because of what happened or because it's quite hot in the sports hall. After making sure that everything is okay, all of us went back to our dorms as the teacher-in-charge decided to end the session, .
