Stretching myself and yawning away, I tapped the empty space beside me. I sat up automatically and looked around my room. 'Where did Sica disappear to?' I pulled myself up from the bed and walked out from the room. Searching from room to room, I still couldn't find where Jessica was. Walking down to the first floor, the first thing that greeted me was a scene of Appa, Uncle Ken and Omoni sitting by the front yard at the couch, chatting away.

"Appa, did you see Sica? I couldn't find her anywhere in the house."

"Maybe that's because you were not looking for her at the right place, Jae. Sica's over by the jacuzzi."

Smiling dorkily, I thanked Appa and strolled to where Jessica was. She was sitting at the corner of the jacuzzi with her eyes closed when I jumped into it, making splashes everywhere.

"Yah!! Choding-ah!! Park Hyun Jae!! Do you want to die?" I laughed out loud as I saw Jessica who had her whole face drenched in water. "Is it so funny?"

I choked on my own saliva and stopped laughing when I saw the deadly glare that Jessica was giving me. I chuckled nervously before I jumped out from the jacuzzi and went into the swimming pool. When I was sure that I've swam a safe distance away from Jessica, I shouted out loud. "Yah!! Jung Sooyeon, you're scary."

I laughed out loud again when Jessica stood up in the jacuzzi and had her hands on her hips. As I saw her walking out from the jacuzzi towards the swimming pool, her icy glare was giving me cold sweat on my spine. "Sicababy, mianhae. I was just kidding. Mianhae." I quickly apologised to her.

After hearing my apology, her expression changes to an evil grin. Like as if she had something on her mind. 'Oh no... This looks more scary than her glare. Otteoke?' I had a lot of thoughts passing through my mind right now.

"Yah, pabo. Come out now. Palli. N.O.W!" Jessica stopped near the edge of the swimming pool while asking me to come out from the pool.

'Should I come out?' I kept asking myself as the evil grin on Jessica's face was still obvious. I swallowed my saliva and decided to just follow her instruction. As I climbed out of the pool, I shouted to Appa and asked him if he had bought life insurance for me. Appa had a confused look as I walked towards Jessica. Before I could react, I was pulled by the ear lightly by Jessica and dragged away. We only stopped when we reached the reclining chairs at the edge of my house.

Even though Jessica didn't really pulled my ears hard, I could still feel a stinging pain on it but I didn't dare to say anything about it. Jessica took a seat at the middle chair and just stared at me with her arms folded across her chest.

"I'm a scary person to you is it, Park Hyun Jae?"

"Anni, anni... I was just kidding around, Sica-yah." I said as I sat down opposite her, facing out to the ocean.

Both of us suddenly became quiet as I watched Jessica laying down on her back and looking up the sky.

"Sicababy, mianhae. Jinjja mianhae. Please don't be angry with me." I tried my best to do any aegyo that I can think of at the moment.

Clasping my hands together, I went down on my knees and pleaded again. This time, I closed my eyes and tried to look pitiful. Suddenly, I heard soft giggles as I slowly opened my eyes. Jessica was laying on her sides while facing me and she was giggling. It took me a while to realise that Jessica was pulling my leg by pretending to be angry at me.

"Aahhhh.. Mwoya?!! You were just pretending to be angry." I said with a pout as I stood up and stretched my back. I suddenly thought of a revenge as I quickly went on top of Jessica and straddled her.

Jessica had a shocked expression although I found it to be cute. I leaned forward as if I wanted to kiss her and noticed how Jessica suddenly closed her eyes.

"Sicababy, why are you closing your eyes? Are you expecting me to kiss you?" I said with a cheeky smirk as Jessica quickly opened her eyes.

The moment her eyes were opened, I leaned in and kissed her on her lips. It took Jessica about 5 seconds before she realised what had happened. She quickly pushed me away and I noticed how red her face was.

"Jae, your Appa and my parents can see us from there." Jessica quickly cupped her face that was turning into a tomato.

"Then let them see. It's my act of love for you. I've got no problem with showing my affections to you in front of others. Do you hate it when I kissed you on the lips, Sica? Shiro?"

"Anni. I'm just... shy about it. But I.. I like it. Joah." Jessica cupped her face again and looked away as I just chuckled at her reaction.

"Aaww.. Kyeopta. My Sicababy is so cute. Anyway, let's freshen up and get ready. I'm going to bring you out for lunch and then maybe some shopping after that." I saw Jessica's eyes brightened as she nodded her head vigorously.

It took us almost 2hrs to get ready as we walked down to the kitchen. Appa, Uncle Ken and Omoni were having their lunch as I informed them that me and Jessica would be having ours outside. Appa reminded me to be home for dinner. Since today was new year's eve, Appa wanted all of us to have dinner together. After saying our goodbyes, I told Jessica to wait at the stairs of the main door while I went to take my car.

After stopping the car just beside her, I quickly went out of my car to open the passenger seat door for her. Jessica looked at me as I gestured her to take a seat.

"Jae, this is your car?"

I nodded my head and smiled at her while I grabbed her hand softly to lead her into the car. After closing the door, I went back to my seat. Jessica had her eyes wandering around the interior of the car as she eventually stopped and looked at me. I smiled at her, leaned to her side and pulled the seatbelt for her. All this while, Jessica's eyes never left me. I looked up to her and gave her a quick peck on her left cheek.

As we drove out from my house, Jessica seemed to be lost in her own thoughts. I wasn't sure if I should ask her about what's bothering her mind but after 10mins of silence, I decided to voice out my concern.

"Sica, wae? Gwenchana? What's on your mind?" I glanced at her and smiled before turning my focus back on the road.

"Jae, how rich are you exactly? Until now, I still can't grasp the fact that you can look as simple as the way you are dressed right now but then you would suddenly appear like a royal prince out of the blue." Jessica said out her thoughts as she turned to look at me.

I can see the frown on Jessica's face when I glanced at her and I realised that there's more to it than what she had just said. I could sense the insecurities from her words as I took her hands.

"Sica, is there something that's worrying you?" I asked as Jessica nodded her head slightly. "Let's eat lunch first and then we can talk it out, okay." I gave my warmest smile to her.

30mins later, we arrived at our destination. After giving my car keys to the valet parking personnel, I held out my hands for Jessica to entwine our fingers. I smiled as I saw the expression on Jessica's face at the moment. I led her further in to the restaurant as we were welcomed by the waitress. Showing us to our seats, we were given the menu to look through.

"Sica, you like it here, don't you?" I asked as I placed the menu on the table.

"It's beautiful, Jaegi. The view of the beach, the sun. It's so romantic. But..." I saw Jessica squinted her eyes at me. "Have you brought any other girls here before? Besides Taeng, Yul and Boa-unnie."

I chuckled at her question as I shook my head. "Anni. You're the first girl to come here with me. It's my first time here too actually. I researched about this place before bringing you here. It seems that this restaurant is quite famous and has received quite a good review on their food. As you can see, the place is quite 'crowded' at the moment." I said, emphasizing on the word 'crowded'.

Jessica looked around at the empty tables before turning to face me. Seeing me grinning like a fool, both of us ended up laughing at each other.

The waiter came and after asking him to give us some recommendations, he took our orders and left.

"Jae, you don't have to ask them to remove the cucumbers from all our dishes. You can have it in yours. I don't mind it at all."

"But if I eat them, I won't be able to kiss you since you hate the smell." I replied with a cheeky grin as Jessica slapped my hand that was on the table.

While waiting for the food to arrive, we talked about a lot of things. Like school, about our parents, our friends and also about us. The food came after 20mins and we started to eat. I broke the silence between us after about 10mins.

"Are you uncomfortable with the fact that I'm rich, Sica?" I asked as I looked directly into her eyes.

"It's not uncomfortable, Jae. It's more like unbelievable. I mean look at you. Driving an aston martin, living in a house worth millions and not to mention the luxurious things I've seen so far, you could have been the ideal type of so many girls or even boys. But you hide it all behind your simplicity and your humble attitude. Sometimes seeing how great a person you are, it made me feel small and wonder if I truly deserve to be with you. What if there's someone better than me. Someone more compatible to you. I... I..." Jessica couldn't complete her sentence as she just sighed.

"Sica, I've said this before. My wealthy background does not change who I really am. I'm sorry if all these made you feel small but please don't ever think that you don't deserve me. Take away all my wealth and all you're left with is just the same Park Hyun Jae. The Park Hyun Jae that had her heart stolen by you. Even if there's someone who is more compatible with me, I still won't accept it because they're not you. My love is only for you, Sica." I said sincerely as I slowly took her hands and clasped in between mine.

"Why do you love me so much, Jaegi?"

"Because you make me complete, Sicababy." I gave her my dorky smile as she blushed and looked down at her food.

We continued talking while eating. Once lunch was over, we asked the waiter if it was possible to get down to the beach for a while. He informed us that it was okay and even showed us the way to get to the beach. Thanking him, we walked down to enjoy the sea breeze.

"Sica, next year I'll be taking a dual degree which means that I'll be quite busy. I would like to apologise if I won't be able to spend as much time with you as you expect. But I promise you that I'll squeeze whatever free time I have to spend it with you."

"Don't worry, Jaegi. I understand. You have greater responsibilities in the future and you need to be prepared for all that. I'll be right behind you, supporting you all the way. So hwaiting." Jessica smiled sweetly. "Jae, how do you see our future to be? I guess for you everything is already settled right?" Jessica asked me as we found a nice spot to sit down.

"Well, I guess that's partially true. Appa already said his intention of asking me to help him with his hotel business. But he did promise that I can be in-charge-of the hotel's interior design. How about you, Sica? What's your plan?" I asked Jessica as I sat behind her and gave her a backhug.

"I'm not sure, Jae. I'm interested in fashion designing or maybe modelling so maybe I'll look into that." Jessica repled as I felt her leaning back into me.

"Fashion design? Modelling? Do you want to work with Boa?" I asked excitedly as I grinned wide. "I can help to ask her on your behalf."

"Boa-unnie? That's so cool. But I don't think it's the right way. Getting in with your help doesn't seem fair to others who wish to work with her and have more experience than me." Jessica replied as she looked up to the sky.

"Next year, you'll have internship programme to do right? Maybe you can try to ask Boa for the internship and from there, you can gain some experience. If you work hard, maybe she would be impress and employ you after you graduate." I suggested as Jessica just nodded her head. "Come on now, we've got some shopping to do."

I saw Jessica's quick reflexes with the mere mention of shopping as she stood up abruptly and pulled me up along with her. She meronged at me when I about her shopping addiction as we made our way to the cashier counter to make payments for our lunch.

It took us around 30mins to reach the shopping mall. As we walked to the mall entrance, I suddenly remembered what happened to me and Taeyeon when we went shopping with our girlfriends the previous time. Thinking of that, I suddenly stopped in my tracks. Jessica looked at me with a confused expression.

"Sica, you're not going to shop like the last time right? My arms can still remember the pain they had to go through." I said with a pout.

"Anniya... We're going shopping together, Jae. I'm really sorry for what happened previously. Mianhae." Jessica looked at me with apologetic eyes, causing me to grin dorkily at her.

"Jinjja?! Then let's go shopping." I entwined my fingers with Jessica as we walked into the nearest boutique.

We spend around 3hrs doing our shopping for the both of us. We were at one of the clothing stores when I heard Jessica's stomach growling. I chuckled at her as she tried to hide behind her embarassment.

"Sica, do you still want to buy anything else since we need to make our way home soon. Appa wants us back for dinner around 8pm to celebrate the new year eve together. " I asked Jessica as I took the paper bag that was given to me by the salesperson.

"Hhhmmmm... I was thinking of buying some gifts for the girls. After that, we should be done with the mall." Jessica said as I nodded my head.

"Have you thought of what you wanted to get for them?" I asked as Jessica frown as if she was thinking deep before shaking her head. "Let's go to that shop and see if there's anything we can get them. I want to get something for our parents too."

We went in to the shop to look around. I decided to get Appa and Uncle Ken a watch each while for Omoni, I got her a handbag. Jessica helped me by choosing the designs as we continued to walk around to look for gifts for the girls.

"Jae, should we get couple t-shirts for the girls? Like this." Jessica showed me a pair of Angry birds t-shirt while we were walking around the shop. "Sunny likes Angry bird character. We can get this for Sunny and Soo."

"That's cute. I saw one that I think Yul would like. Wait here. I'll go and take them for you to see." I went off and came back with a pair of Mickey and Minnie mouse t-shirt. "But I'm not sure if Yoona would like it since I think she likes Rilakkumma."

"Don't worry. It's a couple t-shirt. I think she would love to wear it with Yul." Jessica said as she took the t-shirts from my hand to see it closer.

We continued to look around but couldn't find anything suitable for TaeNy and HyoHyun couple so we decided to go to another shop that sold Japanese cartoon characters as suggested by Jessica. Once we were inside, we decided to split up to look for the items. Jessica would look for TaeNy's item while I'll searched for HyoHyun. I was looking through the clothings when I heard Jessica calling me over. Rushing to her side, I saw her holding on to 4 t-shirts as she showed it all to me.

"I think I know which T-shirt belongs to who. The pink ones are for TaeNy and the green one is for HyoHyun." Jessica nodded her head as she handed me the T-shirts as we walked to the cashier to make payments for the clothes.

We had just exited the shop when Jessica said that she needed to go to the toilet so I took all the paper bags that was in her hands. After Jessica left for the toilet, I quickly went back to one of the shops that we had visited earlier. Grabbing the two T-shirts that I had already saw earlier, I made a quick payment before going back to the exact place where Jessica had left me earlier. Luckily for me, she only returned from the toilet about 10mins after I got back.

Once we were inside the car, I took out the t-shirts and showed to Jessica who had a confused look.

"It's for us. Do you like it?" I asked.

"When did you buy this, Jae? It's cute and I like how the colors blend in together. I just hope Tiff won't stare at me for wearing hot pink." Jessica giggled to herself.

"Fany's couple t-shirt is also in pink but theirs are in baby pink. Come to think of it, all the couple t-shirts are of different colors. TaeNy is baby pink, SooSun is red, YoonYul is blue and HyoHyun is green with white. Ours is hot pink." I smiled at Jessica who returned my smile. "I bought it when you went off to the toilet."

"We can all wear it during a group outing. It's going to be so cute. All of us" Jessica said as I started the engine. Just when I turned to look behind since I'm driving out from the parking slot, Jessica gave me a peck on my left cheek.

"Gomawo, Jaegi. For being such a great person and for loving me."

We arrived home just in time for dinner as we handed our gifts to our parents. They thanked us and looked satisfied with the gifts. Once everyone was seated, the house maids brought out the food that has been prepared by the chef. Appa asked about the places that we went and we told him that we only went shopping after our lunch. We talked and chatted until everyone was done with their dinner. 

 "Jae, why don't you and Jessica go up to freshen up and then meet us at the balcony for tonight's show?" Appa said to me as all of us leave the dining table.

"Okay. We'll see you all later then. Sica, let's go up and change to something more comfortable." I stretched out my hand and waited for Jessica to grab it.

When we were in my room, I released my hold on Jessica's hand and walked to my closet. I removed my t-shirt and was about to pull down my sweatpants when I heard gasps from behind. I turned around to see Jessica covering her face as I didn't realise that Jessica had actually followed me 

"Yah, Sica. Why did you follow me into the closet?" I asked as I quickly pulled up my sweatpants. 

"Mianhae, Jae. I didn't even realised that I had followed you in here." Jessica looked up at me and bite her lips as her eyes were now on my stomach. "Nice." She said before running out from the closet.

"ByunSica!!"I said out loud as I heard her laughing out loud.  

After changing into a white singlet and black  basketball shorts, I walked out from the closet to find Jessica sitting at the edge of my bed. She had already changed her clothings and was now wearing a white plain t-shirt with leopard prints leggings. 

"My leopard prints Angel." I smiled at Jessica as she rolled her eyes at me. 

"Jae, what did Appa mean by tonight show? Are we going to watch something?" Jessica asked as I sat down beside her.

I nodded my head to Jessica and told her that she would have to see it for herself. I was about to say something when my handphone beeped. Seeing the message, I quickly stood up and went to take my laptop from my side drawer before sitting back beside Jessica. After doing some typing, I finally stopped and smiled.

"Taeng!! Annyeong... Happy New Year." I said the moment I saw Taeyeon face on the screen on my laptop. It's already a new year in Korea since the time difference was 16hrs ahead.

"Annyeong, happy new year, Jae. How's everything there?" Taeyeon replied as I saw some movement before Tiffany's face popped up beside her.

"Hi Jae. Happy New Year." Tiffany said with her loud cheerful voice.

Hearing Tiffany's voice, Jessica leaned on my shoulders which made her appeared on the screen too.

"Oh my gosh!! Jessi!! I didn't expect you to be there too. We planned to give you a call after this call ended." Tiffany said as she smiled at both of us.

"Hi Tiff. Hi Taeng. Happy New Year to both of you. I've been sleeping over at Jae's place since last night. We're suppose to see a a show later here at Jae's place." Jessica replied as I just smiled.

"Ouuhh.. You guys going to see the fireworks later is it? I enjoyed watching it the last time I went there. It was awesome." Taeyeon excited said as I facepalmed myself.

"Fireworks? I wished I could see it too, Taetae." Tiffany said as she pouted.

Jessica turned to me with a confused look before aaking me if what Taeyeon said was true. I nodded my head as Taeyeon realised that Jessica was not aware of it. 

"Oooppss... Did I just blurt out your surprise, Jae?" Taeyeon asked me with a nervous expression.

I nodded my head again before sighing. I heard Taeyeon apologising as I just nodded my head nonchalantly. Suddenly everything became silent. After about 10seconds, Jessica leaned in and whispered at my ears.

"Jaegi, Taeng didn't do it on purpose. She's already feeling guilty about it. Don't let the situation drag any longer. It's New Year."

I looked back on the screen and saw Taeyeon's apologetic look. I smiled at her and told her that it was okay. I asked them where they were and they said that they were at Taeyeon's place but will be meeting the girls later for dinner. We talked for a while until we had to say goodbye. I told Taeyeon that we would be back on the 4th of January after Uncle Ken has settled all his business stuff here.

After putting my laptop aside, I looked at the clock and noticed that it was already 11pm. I told Jessica that we,should go to where our parents were at the moment as I brought her to one of the rooms in the house where the balcony was facing the sea.
