Me, Sooyoung, Taeyeon and Tiffany were at the School of Media Arts & Design library. Jessica was suppose to join us too but Tiffany said Jessica's boyfriend called her at the last minute to meet her up. I didn't know why but I felt a bit disappointed when I found out that Jessica won't be there. I was seated beside Sooyoung who was facing Tiffany while Taeyeon was seated beside Tiffany and facing me. While we were engrossed in our revision, suddenly a guy came up to our table and stood beside Tiffany.

"Hi, sorry to bother all of you but can I talk to Tiffany in private for a while?" He smiled politely.

All 3 of us looked at Tiffany as she excused herself. I turned to look at Taeyeon who automatically informed me that the guy is Choi Siwon. The one that is trying to woo Tiffany. I saw Taeyeon sighed as she looked down and pretended to be busy with her revision. Sooyoung nudged me at the side and used her eye signal, asking me to look at the intended direction. I saw Tiffany and Siwon talking at a corner and it seems like Tiffany was trying to reject Siwon as she kept shaking her head while Siwon seems to be pleading with both his hands clasped together. When I saw Tiffany walking back to the table, I quickly looked away.

Tiffany came back to the table, sat down and sighed. She then lean back on her seat and folded her arms. The 3 of us look at each other before turning to look at Tiffany. I kicked Taeyeon lightly under the table, giving her a signal to talk to Tiffany.

"Tiffany, is everything okay?" Taeyeon had a worried look on her face.

"Is it so difficult to understand when a girl is trying her best to politely reject your feelings?" Tiffany replied back to Taeyeon who now had a confused look on her face.

"Mwo? Are you talking about me?" Taeyeon pointed to herself, looking so lost with the confused puppy eyes.

"Oh my god... of course not you, Taeyeon-ah. I'm talking about Siwon. It's not as if you have feelings for me. Right?" Tiffany looked at Taeyeon as she realised that her words had made the atmosphere awkward.

Taeyeon was too shocked that she was not able to reply. I quickly changed the topic by asking Tiffany to explain what actually happened. She said that Siwon has been trying to woo her since last year but she had tried over and over again to reject his feelings. Tiffany knew that Siwon is a great guy but she really couldn't force herself to accept him. Tiffany admitted that at the moment, her heart has not flutters for any man. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Taeyeon trying her best to stifle her smile. Tiffany then continued explaining that earlier on, Siwon came over to invite her to watch a movie together but she decline.

"Tiffany, what exactly is your ideal type? I mean from a girl's point of view, I think Siwon is like the dream guy of every girl." I had my reason for asking as Taeyeon suddenly became interested in my question.

"I've never actually thought about it before but maybe someone that I can be comfortable with, someone calm but dorky at the same time."

"What about the family status? Rich?" I asked again as Sooyoung looked at me and she finally realised what I was doing.

"I don't really care if that person is rich or not. Wealth doesn't matter to me. What's important is the sincerity and personality of the person."

Before I could ask again, Sooyoung intercept me. "How about love of the same gender?"

"As long as they love each other, I don't see anything wrong with it. Like you and Sunny. Sometimes I envy both of you and wish that I had a girlfriend."

Hearing that, Taeyeon suddenly blushed as she kept blinking her eyes. Tiffany saw Taeyeon's reaction and was giving her a confused look. Trying to cover up her emotions, Taeyeon quickly asked if all of us were hungry and suggested to go to the school cafe. Sooyoung obviously won't reject the suggestion as all of us left the library.

Since Sooyoung and Taeyeon had to meet up with their professor after their class, I had to go to the futsal practice by myself. I also didn't have any similar classes with Tiffany and Jessica for that week. I reached the sports hall earlier than the others since my class ended early so I decided to go to the gym on the 2nd floor to have a light warm up while waiting for the rest to come.

After changing into my training kit, I entered the gym. There were not many students around and I spotted a familiar looking girl, seated on the bench at the corner of the gym. It was Jessica, looking bored as she fiddled with her phone. I wanted to approach her but when I saw her boyfriend walking up to her, I stopped in my tracks. Honestly speaking, I've been observing this couple for the past 2 months and I kind of understand why Yuri and Taeyeon didn't like Jessica's boyfriend.

Ok Taecyeon, vice captain of the men futsal team. He came from quite a well-to-do family, slightly richer than Yuri's family. He's a bit arrogant and likes to show off his wealth by driving his sports car to school and wearing all the branded stuff. He doesn't like to mingle with students who are not of his status. He loves to exercise and was said to have one of the best looking body in the campus. A lot of girls adore him even though he already has a girlfriend since high school. He is also Yuri's and Hyoyeon's classmate. From my observation, Taecyeon seems to enjoy spending more time with his group of friends than with Jessica and he really loves the attention that students gave him.

As I started on my treadmill, I was facing directly to Jessica. Her boyfriend had walked away and leaving her alone again. Seems like Taecyeon went up to her just to leave his belongings with her. I can see that Jessica was really getting bored and I notice how lonely her eyes were. Even though she always have a cold expression on the outside, I can't help but feel that it was all a mask to hide her true self. What I heard from Tiffany and Sunny, even though Jessica looks cold on the outside, she's actually very kind and unexpectedly fragile. They also told me that Jessica loves to sleep a lot.

She must have felt like someone was staring at her as she looked up from her phone to look at me. I smiled at her awkwardly and raised a hand, a signal to say hi. She just smiled lightly before she sheepishly looked down and continued playing with her phone. I don't know why but I find myself staring continuously at her. The moment she flipped her hair to the back, I suddenly felt my heart skipped a beat. Beautiful. That was the word that crossed my mind. I was slowing down on my treadmill until it came to a stop. I found myself walking towards her and Jessica looked up when she saw me standing in front of her. She still had that cold glare but with a confuse look.

"You're beautiful." That was the exact words that came out from my mouth.

"Sorry?" Jessica answered me back and that was then I was brought back to reality. I was about to reply her when I heard familiar voices shouting my name.

"Jae!! Hyun Jae!!"

In a split second, I was engulf into a hug from a tall shikshin and a dorky midget. I've never been so thankful of their presence until now. Taking the opportunity to avoid any awkward interaction with Jessica, I quickly dragged Sooyoung and Taeyeon away.

"What happened? What's with the excitement?"

"We just got back from a meeting with our professor and guess what? Me and Soo have been asked to extend our broadcast show for another hour. It seems that the response from the students about our show were overwhelming and they were asking for an extension of the show. All of these will increase our chances of getting better grades."

"And it seems that the students were curious about the anonymous guests that we had when the system were down that day. Me and Taeyeon could only smiled when our professor asked us about it."

As the 3 of us walked towards the gym exit door, I stole a glance at Jessica who was actually staring at me too. I smiled at her and when she smiled back, once again my heart skipped a beat. What's happening to me?

The girls were resting and cooling themselves down after the practice. We were waiting for the cheerleading group to finish up as we had planned to have dinner together. 10 mins later, 3 girls walked up to us. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Jessica there. Ever since we started our futsal training 2 months ago, she rarely join us in any gathering. Even the rest of the girls were a bit shocked to see her there. For myself, I was actually excited to have her around.

"Sica, you joining us?" Sunny asked as the rest of us packed our stuff to get ready to leave the sports hall. Jessica nodded her head.

It was really hectic when all 10 of us gathered at the school cafeteria which opens 24hrs. Sooyoung and Taeyeon were telling the rest of the girls about their broadcast show that was requested to have an extension of 1hr due to overwhelming response. We were seated at a long table with Sooyoung, Taeyeon, me, Yuri and Hyoyeon on one side in that arrangement. Sunny, Tiffany, Jessica, Yoona and Seohyun were seated on the other side.

"The professor also told us that students have been asking about the live performance that we did once before. So me and Soo were thinking that we wanted to ask Yuri and Jae to... Ouchhh!!" Taeyeon was not able to finish what she said as I stepped on her foot and glared at her. The girls all looked at her as Taeyeon realised that she almost blurted out the secret about me and Yuri helping them to perform live that day.

"What Taeyeon was trying to say is that we wanted Yuri and Jae to help us sort out the confessions from the students so that it won't take too much time." Sooyoung said, diverting all the attention away from Taeyeon. I looked at Taeyeon who had an apologetic smile on her face as I just shook my head.

"Are you okay, Taeyeon? Why did you shout just now?" Tiffany asked as she looked worriedly to Taeyeon.

"Anni.. anni.. I accidentally knocked my knee against the table."

Thinking that everything was settled, Taeyeon quickly changed the topic and talk about the upcoming futsal competition in 2 months that will take place before the summer break. The girls started to discuss about the training and other stuff when suddenly...

"So who were the anonymous guests that came that day?"

All of us turned to look at Jessica as the atmosphere suddenly became silent. I knew that she's quite well-known for her late reaction but I totally didn't see that coming. I gulped down my saliva and waited for someone to clear the sudden silence when Hyoyeon who had left for the toilet earlier, came back to the table and also unintentionally came to my rescue.

"Does anyone want to watch a midnight movie, Iron Man 3, since tomorrow is saturday and we don't have any classes?" Hyoyeon sat down as she looked at everyone.

Taeyeon and Sooyoung quickly agreed to it as the rest of the girls also decided to join in. Only me and Jessica had not given our decision yet. I was about to give my answer to them when I made eye contact with Jessica. I saw that Jessica seems to be holding back so I told the rest that I'm not joining since I'm a bit tired and wanted to go back and sleep. Hearing the word sleep, Jessica quickly replied that she also wanted to go back to sleep. The rest of the girls knew of Jessica's love of sleeping so they didn't question much. Since only me and Jessica are not joining them, I volunteered to accompany Jessica to her dorm since it's almost coming to 11pm.

The walk back to dorm was filled with silence. As I walked beside Jessica, the awkwardness was killing me so I decided to just start a conversation.

"I'm sorry if my question sounds rude, but you were not really planning to sleep right? It was just an excuse to avoid joining them for the movie. Am I right?"

Jessica turned to look at me with her cold stare. I nervously chuckled and looked away. I was cursing my stupid mouth for even trying to talk.

"How did you know?" It was my turn to look at Jessica when she replied me.

"I saw that you seem a bit hesitant to reply them. To tell you the truth, I didn't want to join them because of you."

"Because of me? Why?" Jessica was shocked when I told her that.

"If I had join them, then you won't have anyone to walk you back to the dorm on this cold dark night." I smile and chuckled at her. To my surprise, she actually giggled at my answer.

"Thank you for your kind gesture. I didn't want to see the movie because I promised Taecyeon that I'm going to watch it with him."

I was a bit upset when I heard her explanation but I just nodded my head and smiled at her. We were almost reaching our dorm house. The dorm that Jessica, Tiffany and Sunny were sharing is on the 3rd floor while ours were on the 4th floor. As I stood in front of their dorm door, I took out my phone and keyed in my number on the screen.

"Will you be okay alone inside? Anyway, this is my number. Just in case you need anything, give me a call and I'll run down to your floor." I showed the screen to Jessica and grin dorkily.

Her next action caught me off guard as she took my phone, keyed in something and passed it back to me. "I saved my number inside. Give me a missed call okay. By the way, you are cute." She ended it with a teasing smile.

"And you're beautiful." I said before I bowed slightly and walked away, trying to hide my blushes.
