It was the week before school reopened. As I got ready to wear my shoes, Taeyeon came out of her room.

"Hey, Jae. Where are you going?" She looked up to the wall clock and saw that it was only 15mins to 10am.

"I'm bringing Sica out today. It's already Thursday and in 3 days time, we're going to start school soon. I realised I miss hanging out with her so I asked her out yesterday night and she agreed." I grinned dorkily.

"At last, you're taking some actions. So it's a date?" Taeyeon said as she smirked at me while I just shook my head. "Wait.. It's only 10am. Do you think Sica's already awake?'

"I'm not sure but we did make an arrangement to meet up at 10am today. I'll be going down to their dorm to find out."

"Wait for me. I want to go down too." Taeyeon asked as she rushed into the bathroom to clean herself up even before I was able to reply her.

After 10mins, she came out from the bathroom and stood beside me, grinning like an idiot.

"You can't be separated from Tiffany for more tha 12 hours is it?" Taeyeon just meronged at me and dragged me out from the dorm.

Like what Taeyeon had guessed, Jessica was still soundly asleep when the both of us came down. Only Sunny was awake. Tiffany was also sleeping in her almost all pink room. Sunny said that she would wake Jessica up while Taeyeon volunteered to wake Tiffany up. I mouthed the word 'ByunTaeng' when Taeyeon looked at me as she walked towards Tiffany's room, grinning cheekily while Sunny was already making her way to Jessica's voice.

5mins later, I heard a scream coming from Tiffany's room and Taeyeon walked out with her left hand cupping her left cheek to sit beside me on the couch. Soon a rushing Tiffany came from behind to join us at the living room.

"Oh my gosh, Taetae. Mianhae.. I didn't mean to slap you. I was just shocked when I felt hands on my earlier."

I couldn't contol my laughter any longer when I realised what had just happened. Taeyeon must have tried to wake Tiffany up by patting her which resulted in Tiffany being shocked and slapped her unintentionally. I continued laughing at the pouting Taeyeon until I heard a familiar dolphin-like scream, this time coming form Jessica's room. Sunny came out from the room, laughing hard as she was holding on to a broken cucumber as she stand at the centre of the living room.

"Lee Soon Kyu!! I'm going to kill you soon." Jessica stomped out of her room with her messy hair and still wearing her pyjamas. 'How dare you... Omo omo omo.." Jessica ran back into her room while covering her blushing face when she realised that Taeng and I were around.

I just giggled at her actions which I find it very cute. My phone suddenly beeped.

To Hyun Jae:

I'm sorry for waking up late. Give me 30mins. I'll be done soon. Mianhae.

I smiled as I read the message again before typing a reply.

To Jessica:

It's okay. Take your time. Don't have to rush. I'm willing to wait.

I kept my phone back into my jeans pocket as I looked up to see 3 pairs of eyes looking at me with an amused face.

"Don't tell me that's Sica?" I nodded my head to Sunny's question. "Both of you had the same blissful smile when you both read each others' messages."

"And both of you like to threaten to kill people. Jae like to do that to me while Sica wanted to do so on Sunny." Taeyeon said with a disapproving look.

"That's because you asked for it." I meronged at Taeyeon who showed a fist at me. "By the way Sunny, what did you do to make Sica scream and what do you meant by blissful smile?"

"I tried to wake her up nicely but she didn't budge so I had to use the next action which will surely wake her up and that is to wave a broken cucumber near her nose. Sica hates the smell of cucumber. About the blissful smile, I noticed that the both of you will always have that kind of smile everytime you both received each other's messages. I can only see that smile when both of you are around one another. Those kind of smile like people in love."

I just smiled hearing Sunny remarks. I felt happy knowing that Jessica will always smile when she received my messages. The 4 of us chatted until Jessica came out, all ready to go after 45mins. Jessica and I left their dorm amidst the teasings by Sunny, Taeyeon and Tiffany. I reminded Taeyeon to inform Yuri and Sooyoung about where she was just in case they woke up, looking for me and Taeyeon.

We took the bus to the mall and spent our time window shopping. It seemed like we've not met each other for a long time as we talked continuously and went into different shops. We played around with some of the things in the shops and teased each other for being silly. It was almost 2pm when we decided to grab lunch at a Japanese restaurant that I had made reservations beforehand.

"Why did you choose to eat here, Jae?"

"I asked Sunny for recommendations and she asked me to bring you to a Japanese restaurant. She said that Japanese food is one of your favourite. Don't worry. I've already informed them not to include any cucumbers in all our dishes." I smiled at Jessica who thanked me for what I did.

Lunch was great. The food was delicious and since the restaurant was not crowded with less than 8 customers inside, it was a quiet and serene ambience. As we enjoyed the food, I noticed how Jessica was smiling brighter than she used to especially after the marriage was called off. Thinking about how Taecyeon used to treat her, I was glad that it's all over. Wonder how that guy is doing.

"Sica, did Taecyeon contacted you after the marriage was off?"

"Only once. On the night after I informed all of you at the cafe, he messaged me after I reached the dorm. He said that he was glad the marriage is off because he knew that I had never loved him or have any feelings for him. He wished me all the best."

"Sounds like he didn't bear any grudges towards you, which is a good thing. By the way, is there something going on between you and that guy... what's his name?" I asked as I tried to remember it.

"Are you asking about Donghae?" Jessica asked me as I nodded my head. "He's just a friend. He used to be in the same high school as me."

"Oh okay.. Since he always message you, I thought both of you were close to each other."

"Anniyo.. We only became friends recently. We don't even know each other that well during high school. There's really nothing between us. Really really nothing. Really." Jessica answered, looking very earnest as she kept nodding her head at me, trying her best to make me believe her.

"Arrasseo.. I believe you. You look so cute right now, nodding your head like that." I grinned at her while Jessica suddenly blushed. "Should we go and watched a movie after this?"

Jessica agreed to my suggestion so after we finished eating our lunch, we went off to watch a movie. It was a romantic comedy movie. Since the both of us didn't bring any jacket along, I decided to puchase the couple seat tickets so that the both of us can sit closer to each other. I did asked Jessica's opinion about it first before buying the tickets and she was fine with it.

I didn't know how or when it happened but the both of us ended the movie with Jessica clinging on to my right arm while my hands were on her lap. When we realised how close we both were, we quickly readjusted our sitting position before leaving the movie theatre. I looked at my watch and it was only 6pm so we decided to continue with our window shopping.

We went into a shop that sells plushie and Jessica saw a doggie plushie called Brownie. We were playing around with it when I asked her to pose with the plushie so that I could take some photos of her and make a short vidoe clip. I showed her what I did and both of us had a good laugh.

"Sica, do you know that you're actually very cute if you smile more instead of giving others a cold first impression?" I said as it made her blushed.

"I think rather than being over-friendly at first, having a cold first impression and slowly making them realize that I’m not that cold is better.” She gave me one of her sweetest smile as I just smiled back at her.

"Hey, Sica. When's your birthday?"

"Mine? It's already over. It's in April. How about yours?"

"In that case, I'm older than you. Mine is in February. To be exact, February the 14th." I grinned dorkily at Jessica.

"Valentine's Day? Daebak.. So how many chocolates have you given away on that day when you were still schooling in Korea?"

(*Author's Note: In South Korea, Valentine's Day is a time when women express their affection for the men by giving them chocolates or presents.)

"None. Actually, I'm the one who has been receiving them. I'm not sure if the girls are just giving it to me for fun or they actually see me as a guy since I've always had this boyish style from young."

"Ouuhhhh... So you've always been popular among girls since young is it?" Jessica arched her eyebrow and folded her arms.

"Anni.. anni.. I've always been the quieter ones. Yuri is more popular than me. She's popular among the boys and even the girls." I replied nervously at Jessica.

Jessica then started to giggle. "You're cute when you panicked. Should I call you Oppa then?" She mischieviously grinned at me.

"Yah!! Stop teasing me. Let's go to your favourite cafe and have some cakes before we head back. What do you think, Sica?"

"The cafe that we went to after watching movie together for the first time? But Jae, they only have offers for the cakes after 9pm. It's only 8pm now."

"It's okay. Let's just go there and relax. We don't have to wait for the offers to enjoy the cakes there."

I grabbed her hand and lead her to the cafe. There were not many people there since it was the weekdays. We chose a table near the window which was facing the stage. A waiter came to our table to take our order.

"Excuse me, but does the offers for the cake only starts at 9pm?" Jessica asked the waiter while I just giggled at her persistence.

"Yes, that's true. But we also have another offer where you can get the cakes for free. All you have to do is just to perform a song on stage and if the customers here are satisfied with your performance, we will give you that offer." He smiled as he walked away with our orders.

"Free? Jae, we can get the cakes for free if we do a performance. Why don't you sing a song on stage?" Jessica looked at me while blinking her eyes, trying to act cute.

"Mwo? Wae? We could just pay for the cakes anyway. Anni.. Anni.. I'm not going to sing."

"Aisshh.. It's more fun if you can get it for free. We could save the money too. Furthermore, I really enjoy listening to you everytime you sing live." Jessica pouted as she leaned back into the chair. "Forget it then but I'll pay for the cakes since you've spend a lot on me today. I don't want you to use up all your pocket money meant for school."

I smiled at her as Jessica continued to pout. Aishh.. This girl really doesn't know how cute she looked when she is pouting. I stood up and told Jessica that I need to go to the toilet for a while. As I walked to the toilet, I noticed that there was a guitar on the stage as I suddenly thought of something.

After coming out from the toilet, I went up to the stage instead of going back to the table to join Jessica. From a distance, I saw that Jessica was looking out of the window, oblivious to the fact that I was on stage while holding on to a guitar.

"Ah.. ah.. Mic test..." I tapped the mic and smiled to the other customers as I saw Jessica turning to look at me. "Annyeonghaseyo, Hyun Jae-imnida. I'm actually here to sing a song as requested by someone that I came with. This song is a short english version of a Korean song so I hope that all of you would enjoy it. To my Angel, this song is especially meant for you." I smiled as I bowed slightly. I saw Jessica looked at me with a shocked expression but it slowly turned into a smile. I smiled at her and started to strum the guitar.

Jessica's POV:

While waiting for Jae to come back from the toilet, I decided to just look out the window and watched the passing cars. I was almost lost in my own thoughts when I heard a familiar voice talking to the mic. Turning my head towards the stage, I saw Jae there, sitting on a chair while holding a guitar. She was introducing herself and saying that she's going to sing a song. I was shocked but it made me smile, thinking about the effort that she's taking to please me. I saw her smiling back at me before she started strumming the guitar. As I concentrated on the lyrics, I felt my heart beating faster. I noticed that Jae was looking at me all the time that she was singing. She had that charming smile on her face and we didn't break our eye-contact until the song ended. I could feel the emotion and sincerity put into the song as I watched Jae bowing to the crowd and walked down from the stage. She was stopped by the waiter earlier and I saw them having a chat. I could still feel my heart beating fast until now. Did.. Did Jae just.. confess her feelings to me? Wait a minute.. She didn't say that it was for me right? She said that it was for her angel. But.. but she always call me that so does that mean.. it's for me? Or does she have another angel? I remembered Taeng saying that she had a photo of her angel on her locked screen. Aissshh.. if only Taeng had told us who it was. Stupid Jae. Why can't she be more direct with her words? But what if it was really for me? What should I do? Should I ask her about it?

I was on my way back to the table after ending the song when the waiter called me. He informed me that judging from the reactions of the customers, it seems that I had managed to earn the offer so the cakes would be given free to us. The waiter said that he'll send our orders soon as I thanked him and continued walking to join Jessica at the table. She looked like she's got a lot of things in her mind since she kept staring at the glass in front of her.

"Sica... Jessica.. Sica-yah?" I called out to her softly but still no reaction. "Baby?"

"Huh? Mwo? Did you call me?" Jessica turned to look at me with a confuse look.

"Gwenchana? I called you a few times but you didn't respond until I called you 'baby'." I smirked teasingly at her as she sheepishly smile.

"Mianhae. I was just caught in the moment. It's nothing actually. Anyway, you did well on stage earlier."

"Thank you. Anyway, the waiter informed me that we've got the offer so the cakes will be free. He'll be sending it over soon."

"Hhhmmmm, Jae. The song earlier. Who.. Who was it for?"

"It's for you. You're the only angel in my life, Sica." I said as Jessica absent-mindedly nodded her head.

1... 2... 3...

"Wait.... Did you just said that it was for me?" I chuckled at Jessica's late reaction as her eyes widened and her hands covered her opened mouth.

Suddenly the atmosphere became quiet. For a moment, it felt a little awkward but before I could say anything else, the waiter arrived with the cakes. Both of us were just concentrating on eating the cake without saying a word. At that moment, I thought that I had took a wrong step by confessing to her and was just about to apologise when Jessica started to talk.

"Since when did you like me?" She was still staring at her cake when she asked me that.

"Since the time that you landed on me during your practice. I wasn't really sure what it was but my heart flustered when I saw you. Look Sica, I'm sorry if all these is making you uncomfortable. I understand if you don't share the same feelings as me. I...."

"I like you too, Jae. But.. but after just ending a relationship with Taecyeon, I think it's still too early for me to be in another one . Don't get me wrong though. I.. I actually like the idea of us being to..together. It's just..." She couldn't continue what she said as I saw her face getting redder by the minute. She cupped both her cheeks with her hands and looked down.

I smiled looking at how shy she was at the moment. I put my hands over her hands and slowly lifted her face up. "I understand how you feel right now. You are scared to be in a new relationship when other students still think that you're Taecyeon's gf. I'm not rushing you actually. I'm just telling you how I feel about you. Right now, let's just take it slow okay. Get to know each other better. At least I know that it's not a one-sided love on my part."

I leaned forward and kissed Jessica on her forehead. She looked up into my eyes and mouthed the words 'thank you' before she shyly looked down again. I smiled at her and started to talk about other topics so that it'll take Jessica's mind off from whatever happened as she started to relax again and we continued enjoying the cakes while talking continously.

We left the cafe at around 9.45pm and I decided to take a cab back to the dorm since Jessica looked a bit sleepy. Like always, the moment she was in the cab, Jessica fell asleep soon. When we reached the dorm, Jessica was already soundly asleep. I paid the cab fare, took Jessica's handbag and opened the door. I slowly placed Jessica's arms around my neck, picked her up bridal-style and closed the cab door with my leg.

I took the lift up to her floor and walked up to her dorm door. I struggled a bit to press on the doorbell as I prayed hard for either Sunny or Tiffany to still be awake since it was almost to 11pm. After pressing the bell for a second time, I heard the door open with a sleepy looking Sunny and messy hair, standing at the door.

"Jae? What are you doing here? Where's....." Sunny's eyes travelled down as she just realised that I was carrying a sleeping Jessica. "Omo omo omo.. is she okay? What happend?"

"She's just asleep, that's all. I'll bring her to her room and tucked her in. I'll leave after that."

Sunny stood aside to let me in as she closed the door behind me. I walked towards Jessica's room and placed her on her bed gently before covering her up with a blanket. I switched on the aircon in her room as I noticed that she had snuggled into her bolster. I smiled before walking out of her room, all the while under the watchful eyes of Sunny.

"Thanks Jae. That girl is really a sleepyhead. I thought something bad happened when I saw you carrying her." Sunny said as she shook her head.

"She must have been very tired since we were out from morning until now. I guessed there's a limit to her energy consumption in a day." I chuckled at my own remarks as Sunny just smiled at me.

"You know.. I really hope that the two of you could be together. Sica needs someone like you by her side. I can see how happy she is whenever you're around."

"Thanks, Sunny. I hope for that too. I'll take my leave now. Thank you and sorry to have disturb your sleep."

With half-opened eyes and still yawning, I walked out of my bed towards the kitchen to get a glass of water.

"Morning, Jae."

I jumped out in surprise causing me to slip and landed on my . "Arrggghhh.."

"Omo.. Gwenchana?" Jessica squatted down near me.

"Ne.. Gwenchana. I was just shocked earlier. How come you're here?"

"She wanted to cook breakfast for you but it seems like I'm the one who's doing most of the cooking." Sunny said as she brought a plate of american breakfast out from the kitchen and placed it in front of Sooyoung.

"But Bunny, your cooking is great. This is already my 2nd serving. I was almost getting sick of having kimchi fried rice everyday."

"Yah!! Choi Sooyoung!! I'm not going to cook breakfast for you again." Taeyeon threw the tissues box at Sooyoung who managed to avoid it.

As Jessica helped me to get up, we joined SooSun and TaeNy at the dining table. Jessica went to the kitchen and brought out two plates, placing one of it in front of me.

"Thank you. But why did you suddenly want to cook for me? Any particular reason?"

"It's a gesture to thank you for last night. I heard from Sunny about what you did. I'm sorry. I must have weigh a tonne." Jessica pouted again.

"Anni, you were actually very light. Light enough for me." I smiled at Jessica as I started to eat the breakfast.

"Wait.. Am I missing something?" Taeyeon looked at me with a frown. "Soo, do you know anything about yesterday?" Sooyoung just shook her head as she was busy chewing her food.

Sunny then started to tell everyone about what happened yesterday from the part where she opened the door to let me and a sleeping Jessica in. Sooyoung and Taeyeon took the opportunity to tease me while Tiffany and Sunny kept giggling.

"School will be starting soon. Will there be anything new in your school schedule?" I asked, trying to stop the teasing.

"Our lecturer informed me and Soo that our radio broadcast will have a new interactive feature whereby students can send in their messages during our show. Both of us are really excited about using the new feature."

"For me, nothing much will change." Sunny said.

"Me and Jessi will need to do a fashion project where we need to do a write-up on either a famous model or someone prominent in the fashion world. We need to gather tips on the latest fashion trends and then come up with a portfolio of  designs on clothes."

"It'll be better if we could do an interview with them. But both me and Tiff don't have any close contacts with anyone in the fashion world."

I nodded my head as I listened to each of them talk when all of them suddenly turned and looked at me. I realised that I was the one had asked them the question but I'm the only one who had not given an answer.

"Ouuhhh.. For me, if I'm not wrong, the lecturer informed us that we will also need to do a project and come up with a portfolio of interior designs. But details have yet to be given to us." The girls nodded their head at me. "By the way, I just realised that Yuri is not here. Where is she?"

"Yul went out to meet Yoona for breakfast. She left an hour before you woke up." Sooyoung answered my question.

After breakfast, the 6 of us decided to watch some movies as we all gathered at the living room. We spend the day, watching movies and chatting with each other. Halfway the 2nd movie, I decided to cook lunch for everyone as Jessica volunteered to help me out. I was planning to cook carbonara as Jessica agreed with my choice.

"Sica, have you and Fany discussed about which model or fashion designer that you would be doing the write-up on?"

"We were thinking that once school starts, we'll ask for some advice here and there. We haven't actually thought of anyone yet. This project carries 40% of our total grades so Tiff and I hoped that we could at least get a grade of B or B+ for our project. If only we could find and persuade a top model or designer to do the interview with us."

I nodded my head as I continued cooking with Jessica's help. We talked about other things and soon lunch was ready. The girls left after lunch to return back to their dorm to do some revision before school starts in 2 days time.

I went into my room, took the boxing gloves and started to so some exercise as my mind was thinking about something else. Top model or someone prominent from the fashion world? Hhhmmm...
