Time flew by and before I knew it, it was almost coming to the winter break. All of us were gathered at the cafetaria as we chatted about the upcoming holidays.

"Is everyone going home for Christmas and New Year?" Yoona asked to which everyone nodded their heads except for me.

"Appa is flying in to celebrate Christmas and New Year with me so I won't have to fly to LA." I grinned happily as everyone cheered with the news. "He will be here until the 2nd."

"I've got an idea. Shall we all celebrate one of the occasions together?" Sooyoung said as everyone became excited with her idea.

"Let's go to a ski resort." Hyoyeon suggested. "We can celebrate Christmas with our individual family then gather for the ski trip and celebrate the New Year together. What do you all think?"

Everyone agreed that it was a good idea so we all left messages to our parents to inform them about it . But when Seohyun brought up the topic of accomodations, all of us started to panic. Since we're only left with one week before the winter break, we realised that most of the ski resort would have been fully booked by now. We were trying to come up with alternatives when my phone rang. Looking at the caller's id, I stood up and anwered the call, walking away from all the discussions.

"Appa, annyeonghaseyo." I answered the call with a smile.

"Hello, my daughter. How's everything?"

"All is good, Appa. So did you receive my message earlier? About the ski resort idea?" I asked as I saw Jessica looking at my direction. I mouthed the word 'Appa' at her and she nodded her head before she turned around to join in the on-going discussions.

"That's the reason as to why I'm calling you. About the ski resort, I knew it's difficult to get accomodation around this period since most of the places would've been fully booked but we can always go to High1 Ski Resort and stay at Mountain Condominium. You do remember that place right? We used to go there when you were younger. Just get me the number of people that will be going and I'll settle it for you. Will you be able to get back to me on that by this Friday?"

"Oh my god, Appa!! I totally forgot about that place. The last time we went there was when I was 14yrs old. We were actually trying to look for alternatives just in case we couldn't get any place to stay. I'll inform the rest about this and get back to you on Friday. Thanks, Appa."

Once I hanged up the phone, I ran excitedly to the table and informed the girls about my conversation with Appa. Hearing that, all the girls cheered as we all didn't have to worry about the accomodations.

"But Jae, is Uncle Park confident of getting the rooms? It's the peak period." Sooyoung asked with a doubt on her face.

"Of course he can. My Appa co-owned the Mountain Condominium." I almost laughed when I saw the shocked look on everyone's faces. "It's one of his investments in Seoul."

"Wait, why does the name sound so familiar? Is it the ski resort that we used to go when we were younger?" Taeyeon asked as I nodded my head. "Oh my god. I didn't know Appa Park is a co-owner."

"No wonder we always stay at the penthouse everytime Appa Park brings us there during our winter break." Yuri said as I just grinned at her.

"One of his investments? So he is a shareholder?" Sunny asked me as I nodded my head again. "Your dad must be super rich to be able to do all of those things. Daebak."

"Very soon, Jae will be one of the top successful business woman in Seoul too, just like her dad and Jessi won't have to work at all. She'll just be a pampered wealthy married woman." Tiffany teased Jessica who glared at her. "Or maybe Jessi can open her own fashion brand with investments from Jae."

Hearing that, there was a slight glow in Jessica's eyes before she smiled. "I like the second idea better. JJ Fashion line sounds good."

"Does that mean you agree to marry me?" I said teasingly, causing Jessica to blush as she hit me lightly on the shoulders while the rest of the girls continued to .

"By the way, Jae. That kid Amber is really good at rapping and even dancing. I received feedbacks from my friends at the dancing school that she's doing very well there. She's also made a lot of new friends." Hyoyeon said as it brought a wide smile on my face.

"That kid will go far in life. She just need to learn to be happy to be herself and not afraid of what others will say." I said.

"Shall we invite her to the ski resort with us? She seems like someone who's fun to be with." Taeyeon said as everyone looked at her with a questionable expression. "Wae? Is there something wrong with what I said?"

"For someone who doesn't really know how to socialise, that remark sounds weird coming from you." Yuri said to which Taeyeon gritted her teeth and stood up.

The two of them ended up chasing each other around the table while the rest of us just laughed at their dorky behaviour. We went back to the dorm soon after as I reminded everyone to keep me updated about the confirm list of travellers by Thursday night.

"Oh my gosh. This is so beautiful. The whiteness of the snow makes me want to roll around in it." Tiffany exclaimed before she was pushed from behind and ended up falling flat on her face. "Yah!!! Jung Jessica!!"

"Wae? You said that you want to roll around the snow so I'm just helping you." Jessica replied with a straight face while the rest of us started to laugh out loud.

I don't know how it started but soon, everyone was involved in a snowball fight. We only stopped when we heard our parents callling us. All of us then walked to the lobby where our parents were gathered.

"Aigoo, these kids. We arrived 15mins later than them and looked at the mess they made." Omma Jung said as she dusted off the snow from Jessica's hair. "Who's the one who started all this?"

All of us pointed to Jessica who had a silly grin on her face. We had arrived 15mins earlier than our parents with each of us driving our own cars and Amber hitching a ride with HyoHyun. Uncle Hwang drove his 7-seater car, riding along with Taeyeon's parents, Yoona's parents and Yuri's parents while Appa Ken drove his 7-seater with Omma Jung, Appa, Seohyun's parents and Hyoyeon's parents. Uncle Choi drove his own car with his wife and Sunny's parents in them.

"Yeobo, it's the holidays and they're no longer kids. Most of them are already 21yrs old. The only kid among them will be Amber." Appa Ken pointed at Amber who grinned at him. "Just let them enjoy themselves and stop nagging at them."

"Appa Ken, does Omma Jung nags a lot?" I stood beside him as he nodded his head. "Sica nags a lot too."

"Like mother, like daughter." Both of us said at the same time as we gave each other a high-five but our happiness were shortlived when our ears were pulled by Omma Jung and Jessica.

The rest of them laughed at the scene as Appa walked to us with our room cards in his hand.

"I've booked the penthouse and 2 presidential suites for us. The penthouse has 2 Bedrooms and 2 Ondol Rooms (Room with Korean Floor Heating System) so I was thinking all the kids can stay in the penthouse. Me and Tiffany's dad can also bunk in with them since the penthouse is really big. The rest of the parents can use the presidential suites that has 4 bedrooms each." Appa said as everyone agreed.

In the end, the split was done in this manner.

1st Presidential Suite: 1st room - Yuri's parents , 2nd room - Yoona's parents, 3rd room - Hyoyeon's parents, 4th room - Seohyun's parents..

2nd Presidential Suite: 1st room - Sooyoung's parents, 2nd room - Sunny's parents, 3rd room - Taeyeon's parents, 4th room - Jessica's parents.

"This place brings back a lot of memories. Don't you both agree?" I said as I walked into the penthouse with Yuri and Taeyeon standing beside me.

"Jae." Turning to my left to look at a grinning Taeyeon, me and Yuri saw her eye's movement and understood what she meant.

"The Jacuzzi!!!" The 3 of us shouted as we ran up to the 2nd floor.

I opened the sliding door and wrapped my arms on Yuri's and Taeyeon's shoulders. The 3 of us ended up laughing as we looked at each other's faces as we understood that we had just reminisced our memories in our heads.

 

By then, everyone else had joined us upstairs and were amazed when they saw the jacuzzi. We then went around to look at the rooms before gathering back at the living room which was also on the 2nd floor.

"4 people can sleep in each bedroom and the rest can share the ondol rooms. Me and Uncle Hwang had agreed to use one of the ondol room." Appa informed all of us.

"Appa, why don't you use one of the bedrooms instead? Sleeping on the floor is not good for you and Uncle Hwang." I said as the girls agreed.

 

"Why don't we play a game? Winner will get the other bedroom while the rest will share the 2 ondols room." Taeyeon suggested as Yuri gave her a high-five.

"ByunTae  and ByunYul must have wanted the room all to themselves to do something cheeky with their girlfriends." Hyoyeon said with a straight face, causing Uncle Hwang and Appa to be shocked.

"Yah!!" Both Taeyeon and Yuri were blushing with Hyoyeon's comments especially in front of Uncle Hwang and Appa.

"Let's play Ssireum (wrestling) between Jae, Taeyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Amber." Appa suggested as the 6 of us looked at each other in disbelief. "You girls can compete in the snow. It won't hurt so much."

The fact that even our girlfriends were agreeing with the idea made it difficult for us to oppose it. Appa then told us to go and change into something warmer before all of us proceed outside of the condominium. By then, Appa had informed the rest of our parents about the game so they also joined in to lend their support.

"Let's do scissors-paper-stone to decide who will go against who in the prelimanary round." Appa said once everyone was outside. Just at that moment, a strong breeze flew by.

"Daddy, it's cold outside." Tiffany whined to her dad as the rest of us hugged ourselves.

"Sooyeon doesn't seem affected though." Appa replied to which Tiffany said that it was because Jessica was the ice princess. A snowball landed on Tiffany's head, thanks to Jessica.

"Let's get it over and done with. I'm hungry already." Sooyoung commented as Uncle Choi and Aunt Choi shook their heads at their shikshin daughter.

First round was a match between me and Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Taeyeon, Yuri and Amber. Uncle Hwang said that the fastest one to win their match would go straight to the final round.

Appa Ken brought some blankets as the belt to wrap around our waist and thighs. 3 circles were made in  the snow where it was not too deep so that it'll be easier for us to move around. As the 6 of us got into our own circles, our parents started cheering. For the match between me and Sooyoung, Uncle Hwang was the referee. For Hyoyeon and Taeyeon, the referee was Uncle Choi while Appa was the referee for Yuri and Amber's match. Uncle Jung would act as the time-keeper.

"Hey Jae, I know you're much stronger than me. But won't you cut me some slack?" Sooyoung whispered to me as we got ready in our position. "I'll let you spend some y time with Sica in the jacuzzi later."

"Andwae. If you really want it that bad, fight for it." I said as I meronged at her.

Uncle Jung gave the signal as all of us started pushing each other. It didn't take me long to drop Sooyoung to the ground. Even though she's taller than me and she eats a lot, the shikshin was actually very light. I helped her up from the snow as she threw a snowball at me as a revenge.

Hyoyeon didn't have much trouble defeating Taeyeon also. As Hyoyeon helped Taeyeon up, I saw Tiffany shaking her head.

"What's wrong, Fany?" I asked. "You weren't expecting Taeng to lose, is it?"

"Anni. I think no one expected her to win actually. The only active thing that my Taetae has done is her byun thoughts running in her mind." Tiffany replied, causing us to laugh at her answer while Taeyeon pouted on the ground.

The match between Yuri and Amber took a slightly longer time because surprisingly, Amber was someone with a lot of strength. Yuri who always exercise and keep herself fit, was having difficulties in throwing Amber down. But in the end, Yuri finally lose out to Amber.

"Oh my god. Both Byuns are out." Sooyoung said, causing a lot of laughter to everyone.

Since I took the shortest time to win my match, I didn't have to compete in the next round. We took a slight break by going back to the lobby to warm ourselves up. Uncle Hwang treated everyone to a warm cup of coffee/tea and some snacks. Sooyoung was the happiest as she kept saying that she would have done better in the match if she was given food beforehand.

"In that case, let's go for another round after this." I grinned as I rolled up my sleeves and flexed my arm muscles at her. Sooyoung quickly shook her head and said that once it's over, there's no need to go for another round.

"Wow, Jae. I didn't know you've got muscles in you." Uncle Hwang commented as I shyly rolled down my sleeves to hide away the muscles.

"Jae has a very nice toned-abs too." Jessica suddenly blurted out unconsciously, causing our dorky friends to tease and whistle at me. It took Jessica 10seconds later to realise what she had said and her reddened face showed how embarassed she was.

"I think everyone is already warmed up by now. Let's go out and continue with our game, shall we?" Uncle Choi suggested as everyone agreed.

The match between Hyoyeon and Amber brought laughter to us with Hyoyeon trying her best to avoid being tackled down by jumping around like a frog.

In the end, Amber won the match. The best part was when Hyoyeon suddenly danced in the centre of the circle after her lost. It really cracked us up before the final match between me and Amber.

"Are you guys comfortable in here?" I asked as I stood in front of the ondol room while I looked at the 5 girls who were lying down on the floor after they had spread out the blankets for them to sleep on.

"If we're not, are you going to give up your room for us?" Taeyeon asked as I shook my head.

"Anni. You can sleep with your father-in-law if you want a bed." I replied as Taeyeon scoffed at me while the rest of the girls laughed at her..

I bid Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Taeyeon and Amber good night before I went to the next ondol room. Jessica was sitting at the side while the other 4 girls were preparing the blankets.

"Is everything okay in here?" I asked as Jessica stood up to stand beside me.

"Everything's fine even though I wish I had a bed to sleep on." Tiffany pouted while she placed a pillow on her blanket.

"I think I could do a better job than my shikshin in the wrestling match. She went down too easily against Jae." Sunny pouted as Yoona giggled.

"Sunny, I don't think Sica will allow you to compete against Jae anyway." Yoona said as she explained that the idea of Sunny hugging Jae would not sit well with Jessica.

"Let's go to sleep now. I'm so tired after all that skiing. All thanks to Yeonnie who was so hyper earlier." Seohyun said as she covered while yawning.

"Good night then, girls. Have a good night rest. I'll see all of you tomorrow." Jessica said as she dragged me to our room upstairs.

Both of us were teasing and tickling each other on our way up when we noticed that Uncle Hwang and Appa were chatting at the living room. Both of them noticed our presence and smiled at us.

"How's the other girls? Are they comfortable down there?" Appa asked since the ondol rooms were on the first floor while the bedrooms were on the 2nd floor.

"They're fine, Appa. They're going off to sleep soon." I replied as I held Jessica's hands while we excused ourselves to our room.

Just when I was about to twist the doorknob of my room, I heard Appa calling out to me.

"Jae, don't worry. My room is on the other side." Appa winked at me before smiling cheekily.

I quickly understood what he meant as I felt my cheeks turning hot. "Appa!!!" I shouted and pulled Jessica into the room as I heard Appa laughing out loud.

"What's wrong, Jaegi? Why did you shout at Appa Park?" Jessica asked me with a blank expression as I walked towards my duffel bag to take out my pyjamas.

"Did you hear what Appa said earlier? He said not to worry and his room was on the other side of the hallway." I said as Jessica tilted her head, still confused. "After saying that, Appa winked and smiled cheekily at me."

Knowing that Jessica would take some time to understand, I patted her head and walked towards the bathroom.

"Oh my god." I turned around and saw a blushing Jessica who was covering .

"Now then you get it." I chuckled.

30mins later, I walked out from the bathroom with a towel around my neck. Jessica was already asleep on the bed as I went to wake her up.

"Sicababy." I shook her shoulders. "It's your turn to bathe."

"Mmpphhhh.... I'm too tired and sleepy, Jaegi."

"You have to atleast wash up a little, Princess. We've been out in the snow the whole day. Just wash your face if you don't want to bathe." I said as I sat at the edge of the bed, just beside her. "Want me to help you with it?"

My remarks caused Jessica to automatically sit up straight as she looked at me with her sleepy eyes. "No wonder Appa Park commented that way. He knew that his daughter was a Byun." She kicked me suddenly on my , causing me to fall off the bed.

"What I meant was that if you need me to carry you to the bathroom." I pouted.

While I rubbed my , she meronged at me and walked to the bathroom. Smiling and shaking my head at her dorky behaviour, I went to my bag to pull out my laptop that I had brought along. Sitting up against the bed's headboard, I switched on my laptop and started to go through my emails.

Jessica came out from the bathroom in 10mins with a freshened up look. I looked up once to her before looking back at my emails. Jessica hung her towel and crawled up to the bed, leaning herself against me.

"What're you doing, Jaegi?" Jessica asked as she placed her chin on my shoulders, looking at what I was doing.

"Just looking through some of the documents that Appa and Boa had sent me from the past few days. I didn't manage to look through them since I was busy with my exams and revision." I explained.

"What documents are those?" Jessica asked as she grabbed the blanket to cover herself.

"Some files that consist of quotations and financial movements of the upcoming hotel projects by Appa's company. Boa is currently handling the projects in Japan. Appa is trying to look for a good location to build a hotel in Thailand and also scouting for one in Seoul which most probably will be handled by me once I graduate."

"Wow, I didn't know that you've been doing all of these. Are you sure you'll be able to cope with everything, Jaegi? Your schoolwork is already twice more than others since you're taking dual degree. And now with all these upcoming projects?" Jessica had a frown on her face.

"Don't worry, Sicababy. I'm not directly involve in all these. Boa and Appa are keeping me in the loop for everything that is going on in the company. All I have to do is just to read the emails that they sent so as to keep myself familiarise and updated with how they handle the things." I explained further as I saw Jessica nodding her head before she laid down on her pillow. "Want to sleep?"

"Hhhmmm... But I'll keep you company since you seem to have a lot of unread emails." Jessica said as she covered to stop herself from yawning.

"Let's just sleep then. I can always read them another day." I said as I closed my laptop and placed it on the other bed. "By the way, do you think this room is too big for just the two of us?"

The bedroom comes with two king size beds but at the moment, only one bed was being used by us.

"We can always share it with the other girls if you want. But who do you want to share the room with?" Jessica asked as I looked up to the ceiling to think.

I shook my head after thinking for a while. "I think just the two of us will be okay. I won the match fair and square so I think I deserve all these spaces. I won't want any of them to disturb our personal time together." I grinned dorkily as Jessica slapped me lightly on my arm.

"I didn't expect Amber to be a tough competitor though." Jessica said before yawning again.

"Me too. I was running out of strength going up against her, trying to twist and turn my way around. I was looking for an opportunity to bring her down. I think she became too impatient and took a wrong step when she tried to flip me by the side, causing her to lose balance and I fell on top of her." I replied.

There was no response the moment I finished my story as I turned to my right and saw that Jessica had fallen asleep. I pulled up the blanket to cover her up to her neck and laid down beside her to get my rest.

It was the 2nd day at the ski resort and once again we were outdoors enjoying our activities. Appa had brought our parents to the casino so the 11 of us were left on our own to enjoy ourselves. Hyoyeon who was very good at skiing, became our unofficial ski instructor as some of us kept falling into the snow. We were laughing at each other's clumsiness when I heard someone calling my name.

"Jae-unnie?"

I turned around to look at a girl who was totally covered up that I couldn't even see her face. It was only when she removed her ski googles that I saw who it was.

"Krystal?"

The girl smiled at me as she greeted everyone but when she came to Amber, she stopped since she had not met her before.

"Annyeonghaseyo, Krystal-imnida." She bowed slightly at Amber who seemed frozen in her spot. Taeyeon had to nudge her shoulder slightly before Amber suddenly kept bowing down repeated, causing us to laugh at her.

"Yah, Amber. You're suppose to introduce yourself." Yuri said, causing Amber to stop bowing.

"Dae!! Amber-imnida!!" She was pratically shouting which made Krystal flinched a little because of the loudness. "Omo, mianhae. I didn't mean to shout at you."

Once again, Amber kept bowing causing hell to break loose as we laughed loudly, looking at her flustered reaction. Even Krystal was giggling at Amber. When the laughter died down, we chatted for a while as it seemed that Krystal had arrived with her friends. Coincidentally, she was also staying at the mountain condominium.

"Are you.. Are you free... for.. for dinner to..to....tonight?" Amber stuttered again, making us looked at her with teasing smiles plastered on our faces.

"I'll be having dinner with my friends at the restaurant." Krystal answered as I noticed a little disappointment in Amber's face before it lit up with Krystal's next sentence. "But you can join us if you want too."

"Is the invitation only for Amber or for all of us also?" Sooyoung asked teasingly as a flustered looking Krystal quickly replied that it was for everyone.
