It was the first time that the 3 of us had stepped inside their dorm. Sunny and Tiffany were not home yet as I brought Jessica into her room.  (Below is Jessica's room)

"Hey Sica, your room has almost the same color concept as Jae." Yuri said as she placed the crutch against the wall.

"Really?" Jessica looked at me as she sat on her bed. "I like the color black and white mostly. Although I'm fine with other colors too."

"Black and white? That's Jae's favourite color too. Her room at her own house is basically made up of those two colors. Even her favourite underwear..."

"Yah!! Kim Taeyeon! Are you tired of living?"I grabbed her in a headlock as she laughed out loud. Jessica just giggled while looking at us.

"If you all have something to do, you don't have to wait up on me. I should be able to take care of myself. I think Sunny and Tiffany should be back soon."

"Jessica, are you chasing us out?" I pouted as both Yuri and Taeyeon pretended to barf. "I already told you that I'm free today. Anyway, are you hungry? Taeyeon's kimchi fried rice is really nice. Want to give it a try?" I meronged at Taeyeon who showed a fist at me.

Before Jessica could give me a reply, I shoved both Taeyeon and Yuri out of her room. I begged Taeyeon to cook for us and asked Yuri to help her out. I gave them my most dorky smile and they agreed but they said that I owe them a favour each. I walked back in to Jessica's room and saw her trying to stand up.

"Where do you want to go?"

"I need to go to the bathroom but this crutches are really hard to handle." I saw the frustration in her eyes as I walked to her side to assist her. Before I bring her to the bathroom, I took a transparent sheet to cover her cast.

"If you need anything, just shout okay." I told her as she nodded and closed the bathroom door. Their dorm also has a common bathroom similar to ours.

While Jessica was in the bathroom, I went to the kitchen to find Taeyeon. She was busy preparing for the meal with Yuri's help so I decided to help by setting plates and spoon at the dining table. I was almost done when I heard the bathroom door open so I rushed to help Jessica, bringing her to the table where Yuri and Taeyeon were already scooping out the rice into individual plates.

Sunny and Tiffany came back around 5pm along with Sooyoung. By then, Jessica was taking a short nap in her room while me, Yuri and Taeyeon were just watching the TV.

"Girls, we need to discuss on how to assist Jessica for the next 2 weeks. At least until her cast is off." I told them as all 6 of us gathered around.

I informed them whatever the doctor and nurses told me. The first thing we decided was for my dorm to keep a spare key of Jessica's dorm. Just in case, there's any emergency, at least the 4 of us will be able to assist in any way. We are trying to avoid unnecessary movement for Jessica to open the door for us so that's the reason for the keys. Secondly, Tiffany will be in-charge of teaching Jessica for all the lesson that she's going to miss while Sunny will be in-charge of monitoring her recovery and the light exercises that Jessica have to do. The rest of us are just suppose to be on standby if extra help is needed. All of us decided to exchange phone numbers so that it'll be easier to contact each other. I noticed Taeyeon letting out a sigh.

"What's wrong Taeng?"

"I can't believe it's so easy for the rest of you to exchange numbers when it took me a year to get Tiffany's number."

"That's because you are slow!" Me, Yuri and Sooyoung said at the same time as we high-fived each other while laughing at the pouting Taeyeon.

Jessica was already feeling bored on the 4th day after she came back from the hospital. She didn't feel it on Sunday since both Tiffany and Sunny was around to entertain her the whole day. On Monday, she spend almost half a day sleeping while they went to school, only waking up 2 hours before they got back. Yesterday, she watched 3 movies in a row.The girls had been coming back a bit later then usual since they've got extra revision to do for the coming summer final exam.

Jessica's POV:

Why did I wake up so early? I should have sleep longer. It's only 11am and I'm fully awake. Tiffany has got a lecture until 1pm and I'm not sure about Sunny. I'm feeling a bit hungry but I really hate to use the crutches to get to the kitchen. Aaargghh..forget it. I'll just lie down and hopefully will be able to fall asleep while I wait for thr girls to come back.

Jessica laid down back on her bed. She tossed and turned for the next 30mins before she ended up sitting again. She reached for her phone and started typing on it.

To Hyun Jae:

Are you busy?

Meanwhile at the library

I was just about to sit down at one of the table when I felt my phone vibrated. I put down the books and took out my phone. Reading Jessica's message, made me smile as I type a reply.

To Jessica:

Anni... I'm free at the moment. You are already awake? Have you eaten? :P

The truth is, I was actually at the library to get ready on an assignment that is due by the end of next week. The lecturer only gave us 2 weeks to finish it up. My next lecture will start only at 2pm. I was browsing through the books when a text came in.

From Jessica:

I'm awake and have not eaten yet. I'll just wait for Tiffany to come back since I'm too lazy to use the crutches. How about you? Did you have your lunch already?

I was planning to skip my lunch since I wanted to settle my assignment as soon as possible but when Jessica informed me that she had not eaten, I packed all the books and went to the counter to borrow all of it. I then went to my locker to keep them before proceeding to the school's cafetaria.

Jessica kept looking at her phone for the past 30mins, waiting for a reply from Jae.

Jessica's POV:

Why is she not replying? Maybe she's busy. But she said she's not. Maybe she can't be bothered to reply me. Just like Taec who hasn't replied my text since yesterday evening. Sometimes I feel so neglected by him but everytime when I say it to him, he just say that he's very busy with school activities and his assignments. He said that it made him tired and I should be more understanding about his situation.

Jessica sighed as she felt upset thinking about her relationship with Taecyeon. She was about to lie down on her bed when she heard a knock at her bedroom door.

"Jessica, it's me Jae. Can I come in?"

After Jessica gave me the permission to do so, I went in and saw a shocked looking Jessica. I just smiled at her and helped her up. I think she's still confuse to see me there because she just followed me along as I slowly dragged her to the dining table.

"I'm not sure what to get for you but I know you like tteobokki so I bought you that. Let's eat."

Jessica saw two packet of tteobokki on the dining table and realised that I had came all the way from my school campus to bring food for her.

"Jae, you shouldn't have trouble yourself. I could have just waited for Tiffany to come back. By the way, how come you are sweating so much? Did you ran all the way here?"

I just smiled at her and replied that it was hot outside which is why I was sweating. I didn't actually ran there but I did walked faster than normal. I didn't want the tteobokki to turn cold and also worried about Jessica who has not eaten but I didn't tell her all that. I also had to go back to my dorm first to collect their spare key before coming down. We both sat down and enjoyed the meal. Once we were done eating, I asked Jessica if she wants to take a shower while I'm still here. She said yes so I went to take the transparent sheet to cover her cast and helped her to the bathroom. While she was in the shower, I cleaned up the table and also cut up some apples that I bought earlier. After placing it in the container, I left it at her computer table which is beside her bed.

She called me when she was done showering. I was kind of shocked to see her wrapped in just towel when I approached the bathroom. I felt my heart beating very fast and on the verge of bursting but I pretended like it was nothing in front of her. I helped her to her room and left to wait in the living room. I looked at my watched and saw that it was almost 1.30pm. Oh no, I'm going to be late for my next lecture if I don't hurry. I walked towards Jessica's room and knocked. Once she said it was okay for me to come in, I just opened the door slightly and poked my head in with my eyes closed.

"Jessica, do you still need anything else?"

"I don't think so, Jae and you don't have to close your eyes. I'm fully dressed."

I opened my eyes and smiled sheepishly at her as she giggled at me. "In that case, I'll be going back to school now. Take care okay. If you need anything, just give me a beep." I smiled again when I saw her pouting while nodding her head.

I closed the door and rushed out from her dorm. The moment I stepped out, I ran all the way to my next lecture room and reach there just 5 minutes before it started. I was about to open my book when my phone vibrated.

From Jessica:

Thanks a lot for the tteobokki, Jae. I just saw the apples in my room after you left. Thank you so much and sorry for the trouble.

I smiled and typed in a reply to her.

To Jessica:

No worries. It's not a big deal. Eat the fruits okay. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. :P

For the past two weeks, it has been quite hectic for me. I've been spending most of my breaks going back to the dorm to accompany Jessica. At night, I slept late to rush through on my assignment. I was getting exhausted but being able to spend time with Jessica made it felt worthwhile.

We had just finished our futsal practice when Ms Lee called me and Hyoyeon to her office. I told the rest of the girls to go back the dorm first as I'll have Hyoyeon to accompany me back later.

"Jae, I need an explanation for your poor performance in the practice match today."

I looked at Ms Lee and felt guilty inside. "I'm sorry Ms Lee. I've not been sleeping well lately due to my assignments."

"Everyone is rushing through their assignments, Jae. I've already explained it before. During this period, I expect a high level of self-discipline from every team player. It seems that you've not been managing your time well. Last week, I had already gave you a warning after your poor performance but it seems that there is no improvement on your part today. I'm sorry but I've to remove you from the first team and Hyoyeon will replaced you. I hope this will be a lesson for you to never take anything for granted."

I nodded my head and said sorry to Ms Lee. Both of us were then instructed to leave her room.

"Hey, Jae. What happened to you? I don't feel good replacing you like this. You are a much better player than me and will be able to contribute more to the team. Maybe I should talk to Ms Lee."

"It's okay, Hyo. You deserve to be on the first team for all the hard work that you've done so far."

"But my skills are not as good as yours. I've got no confidence in doing well in the competition."

"In that case Hyo, are you willing to sacrifice your Saturday morning for the next 3 weeks? I'll train with you so that you can improve your skills."

"Really? You are going to teach me? I can spare a few hours of my Saturday morning. So I'll see you tomorrow okay."

I nodded at Hyoyeon and we went our separate ways when we reached the campus dorm. Hyoyeon's dorm was on the 5th floor. Before I stepped in into our dorm, I sighed again. How am I suppose to break this news to the rest of the girls especially Taeyeon? She's the only person who knew the reasons behind my exhaustion. She kept telling me to take care of myself and not to let my worry about Jessica affect me so much but I guess I didn't listen to her.

I opened the door and saw that Sooyoung and Yuri were already done with their showers as they were in their pajamas. I walked in and sat at the couch with them.

"Why did Ms Lee called you and Hyoyeon to her office just now?" Yuri asked me as I leaned my head back to the wall.

"I've been dropped out from the first team and Hyoyeon will take my place."

"What?!!!"

I turned my head to see a shocked looking Taeyeon who had just came out after her shower from the bathroom. I gulped down my saliva as I saw her expression change to an angry look.

"You!!" Taeyeon pointed a finger at me. "In my room. NOW." She walked to her room as I sighed again.
