Doojoon’s POV

“Please let me see him!” I heard a familiar voice say. Iseul.

“Before I push you again, go home.” Junhyung said sternly.

I got out of bed and made my way outside.

“Pleaseeeee!!” She pleaded.

“I SAID GO!!” Junhyung shouted.

My eyes widened when I saw him about to push Iseul. Out of anger, I grabbed his wrist and shoved him to the wall. He let out an almost inaudible whimper as he squeezed his eyes shut, holding onto his shoulder.

“ARE YOU OKAY!?” Both Iseul and I rushed over to him at the same time.

“I.. I’m sorry.. I.. I didn’t mean it. Does it hurt a lot? Should we go to the hospital? Huh?” I asked him.

He shook his head.

“I’m so sorry.” I apologized again.

“It’s fine.” He said softly.

“Maybe you should put an ice pack on it.” Iseul said.

“There’s no need to.” He said, staring at her.

Iseul bit her lower lip. She is scared.

“Don’t glare at her. You’re scaring her.” I said.

He glared at me instead.

“I’ll get an ice pack.” Iseul said softly before hurrying to the kitchen.

“Is this what you want?” Junhyung asked.

“No. I didn’t mean to hurt you.” I said.

“Who is ing talking about that?!” He yelled.

“Shut up~” I hissed, covering his mouth, in which he smacked away.

“After what she has done to hurt you…” He said, his head down.

“She’s still my friend, no matter what. Just like if you hit me, I’ll never be able to hate you totally.” I said.

“Really?” He asked.

He punched me in my stomach before I could reply. I choked on my breath while he let out a smirk.

“You said you wouldn’t hate me.” He said.

“What’s going on?” Iseul asked, looking shocked.

“I punched him.” Junhyung said.

“Why?” She asked, looking at me.

 “It’s nothing.” I said, taking the ice pack from her.

“IT’S COLD!” Junhyung complained when I put the ice pack on his shoulder.

“What do you expect from an ice pack?” I asked, smacking his head.

He glared at me while I stuck out my tongue at him.

“Stop glaring or else you may get eye cramp.” I said.

“Eye cramp!” He burst into laughter.

“Demonstrate eye cramp.” I said.

He started twitching his eye non-stop.

“STOP IT!!!” I laughed.

“You asked me to demonstrate!” He was laughing hard too.

“Iseul, look at this fool!” I pointed at Junhyung, smacking him as I laughed.

“Iseul?” I looked around the house.

She was not here anymore. Where did she go to?

“Where is she?” I asked, looking at Junhyung who looked as surprised as I was.

“I didn’t imagine her, right? She really came, right?” I asked again.

He nodded, looking confused.

“Let me check outside.” I said.

I went outside and looked around.

“Downstairs?” Junhyung asked.

“Okay.” I said as I headed down.

“Did you see a girl walk out?” I asked the security guard.

“A girl? Yea. A girl just walked out. Do you know her?” He asked.

I nodded once before running out. I smiled when I saw her walking to her car.

She screamed when I caught her by her arm.

“Shhhh~” I covered .

“You scared me!” She frowned, punching my chest weakly.

“You scared me. You came without warning and left without notice. I thought I was hallucinating.” I said.

She laughed and shook her head.

“Why are you here?” I asked.

“You left during dinner looking so unwell. I was worried.” She said.

“And so you come knocking at my door at… 4.30AM in the morning? You have a boyfriend now, you know. What would he think if you come to the house of six guys at such an hour?” I .

She pouted, looking down.

“Hey, I was just teasing you.” I said, poking her.

“You don’t like my boyfriend?” She asked.

“Does it matter whether I like him or not? Most importantly is whether you like him or not, and if he is a good guy to you.” I said.

“I like him, of course. He’s a good guy too. Well, at least he is sweet now. And how does it not matter, Doodoo? You stand on the same line as my family in my heart. Boyfriend is number two.” She said.

I could not hide my smile after hearing her words.

“If you don’t approve him, he’ll be on his way to my ‘ex-boyfriend’ list.” She said.

“If he’s nice to you, and you love him, I’ll be good.” I said, ruffling her hair.

“Really?” She asked.

“Your happiness is very important to me, you know?” I said.

“I can live without a boyfriend or a husband, but I cannot live without my best friend.” She said.

“Who’s going to accept a girl with a guy as a best friend?” I laughed.

Her smile faded away.

“Well, if he loves me, he has to accept that it’ll always be Doodoo over him.” She said.

“Silly girl.” I cupped her cheeks.

“I’m serious.” He said.

“You can’t do this.” I said.

“Why not? If they cannot accept the fact my best friend is you, then they don’t love me enough.” She said.

“Ahhh~ So I am some sort of benchmark.” I .

“Nawwww~!!” She chuckled, hitting my lightly.

“Iseul ah, be happy, okay?” I said.

She nodded and hugged me tightly.

Because only seeing you truly happy can I let you go and accept the fact we will remain nothing but best friends forever~ I might not be able to accept it now, but I will try, I promise I will try.
