18 years of loving you, and the one year it mattered.
"BABY! PLEASE SHUT UP!" Chen cried rocking the baby to and fro around the room, it was one in the morning and the couple were woken by a screaming baby
Minseok had gone to get the baby some milk formula. He could hear Chen wail at the baby he sighed
"MIN! PLEASE HURRY UP!"
"Yeah hang on this stuff isn't easy to make you know!"
"IT'S WATER AND POWDER!"
Minseok groaned and was about to make his way back to the bedroom when his phone rang.
It was Suho
He should've guessed
"Yeah what do you want Joonmyun?" Minseok huffed into the phone exasperatedly
"Min, can I stay at yours? Please?" Suho slurred into the phone, it made Minseok cringe
"Are you drunk? Why what's wrong with your house?"
"Lay... Victoria... Doing bad things, I can't stay here"
"Fine, fine whatever, just sober up okay? Chen and I have an infant here"
"A baby? What the ? Okay thank you both, I'll be there in ten"
Minseok hated it when Suho swore, it was just so... Unlike him "Make sure you're sober enough to drive" he replied shortly before hanging up
By the time Suho arrived everyone was in The living room, Minseok was feeding the baby but as soon as he saw Suho he gave him to Chen to hold. Chen was just pulling faces at the baby, oblivious to Suho
Minseok immediately got up and motioned Suho to follow him into the kitchen.
He handed Suho a giant glass of water and proceeded to get some food for him from the fridge.
"So why do you have a baby again?" Suho asked warily looking around the kitchen
"Long story, but I guess Chen and I have adopted him"
"Chen? Adopting?"
"Yeah, he wanted to send him to the orphanage down south, I refused though"
Minseok took out the kimchi fried rice from the microwave and pushed it towards Suho
"I see" Suho murmured into his cup
"Suho... Stop doing this to yourself, why are you pissed?"
"Not anymore i'm not" Suho sighed "Lay invited me out with Victoria and her mate"
"You should've said no"
Have you not noticed it's impossible for me to say no to him?
"I've been avoiding him way too much"
"Yeah, he said he missed you"
Not in the way I so very long for
"I've been busy"
"Yeah sure, look I'm going to cut to the chase here Joonmyun, I can't watch this, please, it's painful for us to see you go through this, he misses his best friend, if you can't give him that, maybe you should cut ties"
"Minseok, he's your friend too, it'll make it hard for the guys if I do that"
Minseok just hummed in agreement "Look just do what's best for you okay? I gotta get back to Jongdae, just eat, I left some aspirin on the counter"
When Suho walked back into the living room he saw Chen holding the baby and Minseok snuggled up to him.
They were perfect, Suho envied them to a point where his heart hurt.
He settled down on the couch beside them and stared out the window, street lights illuminating the room
This story is not a happy one, the story of my life isn't a happy one.
