“Kris.”

Mrs. Wu slipped into Kris’s office with few red folders in one of her arm. She looked tired, but her appearance still looked stunning. For a mother in her late 40s, she looked far more gorgeous than the other mothers.

Kris inherited his mother’s good looks, to be very honest, he hated it. He doesn’t look like his father; the only point that made Kris looked like his father was that both of them had the same gummy smile.

If Kris didn’t know better, he knew that his mother would plan to brainwash him that his father was not the biological one. She was, after all, the meanest mother anyone could ever imagine.

“I need you to meet my new client.” Her voice filled the entire office but Kris didn’t spare any glances towards his mother. He didn’t even glance up from his phone.

Mrs. Wu frowned. She had brought Kris to the company to train him to be the next CEO, but right now Kris was occupied only with his phone and it ticked Mrs. Wu off. “Kris, you’re going to meet my client, I need you to take over the company. Do you hear me?”

As expected, Kris didn’t respond.

“If you finished this task, you can take two days off.” She offered Kris before throwing the folders on his desk with a hint of annoyance. “Two days, Kris, get those unnecessarily thoughts out of your mind in two days.” And with that, she stormed out from the office.

Kris finally glanced up from his phone, even though he was playing Temple Run 2, he heard everything his mother had said to him.

Two days off? That sounds promising. Kris thought as he scanned over the folders. The job was easy; he just needed to convince the head CEO of the new big company to buy one of their properties. Kris had his own charms so he can do it without any problems.

With a sigh, Kris grabbed his blazer and stood up, only to be held back by his phone. Tao was dialing. “Gege, I need your help.” Kris could almost hear Tao frown through the line, “What is it?”

“There’s this girl that I want to stalk, so can you lend me your car for a day?” Tao’s aegyo was definitely working even though he was on the phone. Kris softened; Tao rarely mentioned anything about girls that caught his attentions to anyone.

Kris did not want to let Tao lose his chance in getting the girl he wanted, he did not want Tao to end up like him.

“Sure, when are you going to take the keys – “

Tao cut him off with a giggle, “Your key is in my hands, I am driving your car now.” Kris shut his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. Tao had taken his car keys without his knowledge. Kids nowadays, they are master minded.

Kris didn’t want to talk to Tao any longer; he knew his patience nowadays was getting shorter. With a grunt; he hung up on the younger kid.

The only thing came into his mind was to ask for his mother’s car. He hesitated at first, but he needed that two days holiday that was offered by his mother.

Groaning again, he stormed toward his mother’s office, hoping that his mother wouldn’t say anything that will push him off the edge of the cliff.

“She already told you right? Do not change the entire house into a mansion!”

Luhan smacked Lay’s head from behind and demanded him to change to another design for your house. Lay was frowning from the beginning until now.

Both of them were discussing what to buy for your house, what tiles they need to use for your floors, what roof would be suitable – but everything was again, ruined by Lay.

It seemed like he was so engrossed by the idea of making your house turn upside down that he had forgotten that you didn’t want a mansion. “Her house only few yards big so for pit’s sake Lay, how can this fit on the land?”

Lay stared at the blue print and shrugged, nothing mattered to him other than you. “We can demolish the houses next to ____’s house to make the place wider.”

Luhan’s jaw dropped and shook his head in disbelief. “Have you forgotten that there are families living in those houses?!” Lay sighed as he asked for the engineer to re-plan the renovation. Luhan was glaring at Lay from the side with a deep frown.
