She smiled bitterly at Kris, who glared at her with his eyes filled with hatred. “What are you doing here?” He literally hissed at his own mother like an animal.

Your grandfather’s glare eased away from behind when he saw how depressed the boys looked. He knew that Kris’s mother stabbed Luhan. Mrs. Wu came to him as soon as she stabbed him and genuinely apologized for being so cruel.

“I’m here to apologize for my behavior” Mrs. Wu lowered her gaze and waited for responses. EXO didn’t respond, they were too shock and mostly, they hated Mrs. Wu. Whatever she does, EXO would always despise her.

She was not a mother to Kris, never will be.

Kris glared, “Can you please get out –“

“I will cover up the hospital fee, you can give your friend the treatment, and I will pay for it –“Mrs. Wu’s sentence got cut off by Lay, who appeared from behind Kai after few punches he received from the two fighters.

“The fees already paid off, you’re not the only one who’s with money here”

Lay smirked at Mrs. Wu and she looked away, obviously trying to find something to bombard the kids but she couldn’t. Instead, she turned to your grandfather with a sad face. “I guess I will be off then, do you want me to give you a ride?”

Your grandfather hesitated at first but nodded anyways, but before he goes, he glanced toward Kris and saw the boy’s face was crumpled. He sighed and walked side by side with Mrs. Wu and disappeared into a corner.

Even though he wanted to find you all by himself, Kris still knew one person that knew where you were and only her that could lead him to you.

With a sigh, Kris straightened himself up and ran toward his mother. He picked up his pace and ran over to her. “Stop, please” he shouted and grabbed his mother’s forearm with quite a big force. His mother almost stumbled backward.

Mrs. Wu gave her son a look, “What’s wrong?”

“Where’s ____?” Kris asked in a monotone. The question was directed to Mrs. Wu but instead, your grandfather answered him instead. “Isn’t ____ sleeping in her room now?” He slightly frowned at Kris.

Kris’s eyes rounded and he snapped his gaze toward his mother. Mrs. Wu was smirking, “oh yes, isn’t ___ in her own room? Why are you asking me that?”

With brows furrowed, Kris groaned and let her go then started toward the main door. Whatever his mother was playing right, he doesn’t want to know. Not yet.

When Kris reached the house, the first thing he did was burst into your bedroom. When he saw that you were sitting on your bed, staring at Kris with wide eyes, Kris became so relieved that he grinned ear to ear at you.

“You’re here all along”

Kris ran to you and tackled you down onto your bed and snuggled in the crook of your neck. You chuckled and hugged him closed. He was sweating. But then, you had touched him sweating before when you both were having .

It wasn’t really a big deal, he was your Kris after all.

“I’m sorry,” you whispered at him and Kris stopped. He lifted his head and met eyes with you. “What’s wrong, baby wolf?” He pressed his lips into a thin and pulled you closed to him.

“Did my mother say anything to you?” Kris’s tone was calm and soft, as if he doesn’t want to offend you in ways. You shook your head at him. “No, she just took me home. She wanted me to give you this”

You took out the necklace that his mother had stolen away from him. Kris’s eyes widened at first but he took the necklace with both of his palms. What is my mother planning? Kris furrowed his brows and stared at the necklace.

“Are you okay?”

You tilted your head and smiled at him. Kris was even more suspicious. First his mother was acting so weird. She decided to cover up Luhan’s hospital fees and then she apologized. She sent you home and gave you the necklace.

While you on the other hand, smiling about this matter as if you didn’t know what kind of a person his mother was. “Are you planning something without my knowing?” Kris was quick and detailed, that was how he worked his way up and escaped from the prison.
