Two days had passed since the officers had visited EXO. As expected, none spill out any secrets about Kris. Although Chanyeol was clueless at some points - he even helped the officer to write his name in a correct way - but he was smart enough to tell white lies.

“Is everyone okay?”

You glanced up at Lay and he nodded. He reached his hand up to your hair and it gently. “We’re fine, Luhan gege texted everyone before they could reach your house,” he wrapped his arm around your shoulder and led you to the main door.

“Where are we going by the way?” You glanced around the big shopping mall then turned to him. Lay was already smiling down at you lovingly. “Shopping,” he leaned down and planted a soft kiss on your forehead.

That made your eyes snapped opened. You didn’t saw that coming your way.

Lay straightened himself up and pulled you into the Samsung store as if kissing your forehead was not a problem. People around started whispering, some of the girls around the store knew Lay, because he was famous for his looks and his money.

The crowd backed away and formed a line to let the ‘couples’ go through. You bowed your head at them while Lay on the other hand, didn’t even bother to spare any glances on them. For him, they were none of his concern.

“I’m buying you a phone,” he tugged your arm and pulled you down. Your head leaned down and body slouched forward to take a better look at the phone that stood still on the counter.

‘Samsung Galaxy Note’ was printed across the tag. The phone was indeed neat, but something made your eyes widened. The phone was so expensive for you that it made your eyes popped out from its sockets. “L-Lay, this is expensive.” You straightened yourself up and pulled him away.

“I don’t need any phones,” you pouted at him with your puppy eyes, hoping that he would give in. Even though the boy was softened by your aegyo, he couldn’t give in. He needed to buy you a phone and he won’t change his mind. He needed to guarantee your safety and duizhang’s safety.

A sigh was heard from Lay as he shook his head at you, his lips slipped into a firm line. “I brought you to L.A. before; do you know how much it cost me?” He tilted head and smirked as soon as he saw your face fell.

A phone with a price like that was puny compared to all those money Lay had spent on the L.A. trip. “This phone is nothing to me,” he asked you to stay put afterward and turned to some staff. The girl instantly swooned over Lay because of his flawless proud self and just nodded throughout the conversation.

You sighed and looked away; Lay had been very nice to you and that was absolutely comforting. And he didn’t even bother to hide his crush on you. He treated you like his own girlfriend even though he knew you haven’t told him about your decision.

In his car all the way from your house to the mall, your hand and his hand were intertwined together like padlocks. Lay held your hand and wouldn’t let go. Not even when your palms started to sweat, Lay still held your hand tightly.

Your eyes slowly took in what you could in the store, slowly and dreamily your eyes wandered upon a blonde haired boy. He was tall, oh yes he was. His eyes were dangerously dark and his face was serious. He was watching something from a far and didn’t notice you were staring at him.

His skin was fair, and his clothes were similar to all those bad boys out there. He gave out this dark aura that made your lungs churned in and out. As if the guy had sensed your stares, he turned around and his eyes snapped towards you.

Fear ran down to your spine when the guy gave you a smug face, slowly did he smirked at you in a playful way. Golly, he looked like a erted guy.

“____?”

Lay’s voice snapped you back into reality; he gave you a worried look before scanning the whole store to track down the source that made you day dreamed. “I called you four times, something wrong?”

He tilted his head again and swept your bangs away from your face. You shook your head and felt his palms cupped your cheeks and tilted your face up. “I’m just looking around,” you said awkwardly, you heard your voice trembled and you slightly cursed yourself for being weak.

Soon, your eyes met up with Lay. He looked almost peaceful, but something flickered inside his eyes that you couldn’t describe.

“I bought the phone for you,” he leaned down and planted a soft peck on your right cheek. Few of the customers stared in awe and some were slightly envy. Lay pulled away and grabbed your hand; he intertwined his fingers with yours before tugging you out from the store.

“I hope you like pink though, because I bought a pink galaxy note for you,” he gave you his dimple smile and pointed at random food store. “Do you want to eat something?”

You stared at him then nodded your head; you had been craving for ice cream for more than a week now. Since Lay was offering you a chance, you gladly took it. “Can I eat ice cream?”

Lay smiled and brought you up to a pinkish shop, from outside the store were lined up with small cute cones with ice cream on top. Your eyes twinkled and reached out to touched one, sure enough, all of the cones were fake.

“Don’t tell me you thought these ice creams were real?” He playfully knocked your head and led you to the counter. Lay didn’t give you any chance to order anyways, because he chose cookies and cream for you while he on the other hand chose dark chocolat
