“Are you okay?”

Kris stayed still by your side with his eyes on the coffee table. He was staring into space like that for quite a long time. After he said that his mother came and took his necklace away, he hugged you like there was no tomorrow.

You had to even force him to sit down in order to save your legs.

“I'm not okay,” Kris whispered as he slipped one arm around your waist and drew you closer. Slowly and carefully, he laid his head down on your head, sighing as he did so.

“What am I going to do now?”

His voice was beyond a whisper, but at least you can hear it. He sounded tired and lifeless; it made your heart broke little by a little because never before you saw Kris acted this way. Sighing, you snuggled away from his arms and stood up, shuffling your way through the kitchen.

Kris blinked and looked down his arms that hung in the mid-air, feeling empty that you were hugging him. With a puff, Kris stood up and scrambled toward the kitchen, plopping himself next to you and watched you reached up for the first aid kit.

“First, we need to clean your wounds” You hugged the kit box and gestured Kris to sit down, but, he refused to do it.

“It’s going to be fine – “You glared at him from the side asking him to stop ranting. Kris stopped and gulped, then quickly ran down to the chair and sat down, blinking up at you with an innocent face.

“Fine, heal me” He grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled his shirt up; showing you his toned abs that made you gulped a big lump.

Sure, you saw him without shirt before, but seeing him topless in front of you again made your legs gone wobbly. “I can’t heal you, Kris, I don’t have powers” you made your way casually to Kris and tried your best not to stutter.

Kris stared at you with a brow raised, thus giving you a smug look. “If you got any powers, what kind of powers will you choose?”

Such question made your lips pursed together with brows furrowed as your hand stopped inside the box. “I want teleport powers, so I can visit every corner of the Earth” you paused and smiled before turning to him with a jolly face.

“How about you, what will you choose?”

Kris stared at your jolly expression then smiled softly to himself, seeing you smiling innocently at him made his heart calmed down. Without you by his side, he certainly bet that he would take a suicidal road instead fighting his way for freedom.

“I want the ability to fly”

He leaned closer and held his gaze with yours firmly. From your point of view, you noticed that his eyes were soft and gentle, but his eyes were still intimidating.

“Do you want to know why I want to fly?” He grabbed the ointment from your hands and put it away, leaning in closer and closer until your back hit the chair frame, unable to move back anymore.

Seeing that you were trying to avoid skin ship with him, Kris scowled and pulled away then grabbed the ointment and smeared it onto his wounds that lined up across his chest.

The way you avoided him like that made him hurt, he wanted you to calm him down, but instead you backed away from him like he
