A smile brought up onto his face as he pulled you into embrace. For a moment his eyes caught Kris’s, and then only Kris could see how his lips quirked up into a victory smirk.

“How are you?” Lay ran his slender fingers through your long and wavy hair; he gave you a smile as he leaned in closer and closer as if he wanted to kiss you.

Your eyes widened, Lay was too close for comfort and even though you were hugging him, you remember the fact that you were Kris’s not him. But before your hand could reach up to Lay’s chest to push him away, someone else did the work for you.

“ off,” Kris pushed him to the ground and Lay stared up at him with an innocent face. “No need to be that rough, duizhang” Lay tried to sit up but failed. He winced and grabbed his elbow, giving it a squeeze as his head lowered.

Everyone blinked at him, Lay’s sudden reaction made everyone curious. Kris, however though, tried his very best to pull you away from Lay.

“Lay, you’re bleeding” Luhan gasped, he was always the one that worry the most when he saw s injured. You mouth gaped but Chanyeol came into the view and grabbed your other free arm, helping Kris to support you.

All of them knew you will help Lay, but it was for the best to keep you away from there for a moment.

Both Kris's and Chanyeol's eyes met, they both gave each other signals that you couldn’t understand, and then without any warnings, Chanyeol lowered himself down and hugged your legs.

Chanyeol grinned ear to ear and stood up; he trapped you inside his tight grip and flung you over his shoulder. “I’ll take her in,” his voice was mischievous while his eyes twinkled.

Kris said nothing, instead he watched you being carried effortlessly by Chanyeol into your grandpa’s house. His eyes briefly met yours, and then for a split second there you swore you saw anger inside his dark brown eyes.

And then the door slammed shut in front of your face.

“Duizhang,”

Luhan, Xiumin and Tao grabbed Kris to prevent him from throwing himself onto Lay. Kris was not in a good condition right now, his eyes squint into dangerous slits and there was dark auras glowing around him.

He looked as if like he wanted to murder someone.

Sehun, Kai and Baekhyun were covering Lay, to protect him from Kris even though they clearly know that Lay doesn’t deserve their protection.

Lay’s mouth got slight cuts from the hard punch that came from Kris’s fist earlier just now. He didn’t have the time to dug, Kris was too fast for him to even blink his eyes.

Suho and Chen watched them helplessly at the side; none of them could utter any words. Seeing Kris like that made them scared, and to think Kris wanted to choke Lay to death after you had gone inside the house with Chanyeol, it made everyone of them shuddered in fear.

Luhan gritted his teeth and almost stumble when Kris jumped forward. Kai blinked and joined those three to hold Kris. But they know very clearly that Kris can beat up all of them without putting any efforts.

Lay cocked his head to the side and blinked innocently, “Why should I apologize?” And then as if he had planned it, Lay flashed his billion dollar dimple smile at Kris.

Kris’s eyes widened and then lunged forward for Lay, but Lay just laughed because everyone held Kris to avoid him from hitting him.
