Chapter 60: Perfect for Me
Perfect for Me“Where are we going?” Yoona suddenly asked. We'd been driving for nearly 27 minutes, when the dinner place wasn't even that far. It should've only taken 15 minutes without traffic. There was music playing quietly.
The car stopped and I glanced into Yoona’s eyes. “We're here.”
Yoona looked out the window. She saw the same place where she and I had spent that cold winter night together. The weather conditions had been bad back then so we'd stayed together in the cable car trying to keep warm. Yoona remembered that night clearly. It was like the real beginning of their relationship.
I didn't know why but when Jessica had suddenly re-entered my life, I felt as if I had been distant from Yoona. I hadn't really been with her. Jessica and I had never really spoken again. It had mostly been Yoona helping Donghae. But even so, Yoona had never really met Jessica. I wanted to know how I would react if I ever did see Jessica one day. It would have to happen one day. I just didn't know when… I looked over at Yoona, sitting next to me.
I had to remember who I was with now. It was the girl of my dreams, Yoona. I took Yoona’s hand and brought it to my lips. I closed my eyes and kissed her hand gently.
Yoona watched me closely. She had a feeling that something was going on. Somehow I had changed. But Yoona knew that this change was for the better. “Oppa, are we going to eat?” She reminded me of the reason why we were out today.
“Yes, I just wanted to come back to this place to remember all the reasons why I love you. All the reasons why you're the only woman who's perfect for me.” I looked into Yoona’s eyes.
From the look in her eyes, I could tell that Yoona was thinking the same thing, “Oppa, you’re also the only one perfect for me. I don't think I would ever be happier with anyone but you.” She placed her hands in mines. I held onto her hands tightly. I never wanted to let go of her. I pulled Yoona close for a tight embrace.
With this deep embrace, all the emotions we’d ever felt towards each other over all these years were in both of our hearts. “Yoona, why don't we just go back to my place and I'll cook you something delicious to eat?” I ended our embrace and I looked into her eyes.
“Oppa, I'll do whatever you want me to do, because I know whatever you want to do is what I want to do.”
