Chapter 5: Making it Happen (Part 2)
Perfect for MeThe door to Siwon’s office opened and the woman stepped into the room. I stood outside the door and listened.
“Siwon oppa~” I heard the woman’s high-pitched voice and I heard some commotion that sounded like she was approaching him.
“Sooyoung-ahh…” Siwon got up from his seat and walked towards the window. “I’m quite busy… could we just talk after I’m done with work?”
I heard rustling and shuffling so I figured that the woman named Sooyoung was probably walking over to Siwon.
“Siwon… I think that I’ve fallen for you…” she wrapped her arms around Siwon’s waist and snuggled into him from behind. “I’m always thinking about you and I know that I can’t live without you…” she paused for a second, “But I really want this marriage to happen. I really want us to get married. It’ll be good for us, it’ll be good for our company, and it’ll be good for you…” Sooyoung wrapped her arms tighter around Siwon’s waist. She snuggled her face into his masculine body. She just wanted it to stay like this forever…
“Sooyoung… I’m still with Yuri…” he broke the mood that was building up. He felt a sharp pain in his chest when he said this because he wasn’t very good with hurting girls even though he’d hurt many already. Siwon’s handsome face got many girls walking into clear glass doors when they locked their eyes on him.
“But we have to be together…” Sooyoung walked around to the front of Siwon and she locked her eyes with Siwon.
I’d been watching this for a while and I figured that now would be a good time to cut in so I knocked on the door.
From inside Siwon and Sooyoung both were startled. I heard Sooyoung say “Who could that be?”
Siwon pushed Sooyoung away and he went to open the door.
I came face to face with Siwon. “Hello, I’m a reporter… I wanted to talk to you about the success of your company…” I faked a smile while thinking to myself ‘What a lame excuse...’.
“Oh okay,” Siwon looked over at Sooyoung and back at me, “Could you leave, Sooyoung?”
I noticed an irritated expression on Sooyoung’s face but she did make her way out. Before she exited the room, she turned around and blew Siwon a kiss, “Love you sweety~”
Siwon gave no reply.
When Sooyoung left, I closed the door and took the seat across from Siwon, “Hello, I’m Kim Ryeowook.” I shook hands with Siwon, “I’m actually not a reporter… I’m from a dating agency and I’m here because of… your girlfriend Yuri.” When Siwon heard Yuri’s name he looked up.

“Are you even happy with this arranged marriage?” I asked Siwon after a series of other questions.
“Not really… I had been dating Yuri for a while and we were so in love but ever since my parents have set me up into an arranged marriage with Sooyoung, I’ve been feeling that our relationship is not as close as it was before… Sooyoung seems to be a sweet woman, but leaving Yuri is tearing me apart. I don’t really have much control over this though since it is an arranged marriage…”
I abruptly sat forward in my seat, “Why don’t you say something? Tell Sooyoung what you’re thinking now and be honest with your family. Even though this’ll shatter the company deal, you’ll be happy.” I noticed that Siwon had started to cry. I tried not to feel like I’d bullied him even though I hadn’t. I had just woken him up. “Siwon, marriage is a commitment. Commit yourself to the one you love. In this case, it would be Yuri,” I argued. It was that simple.
Siwon rested his face into his hands, “You’re right… I’m still overwhelmed.” Siwon looked back up at me, “Please let me think it over…”
“Okay then, I’ll try my best to make things work out for the two of you. I suggest that you make time to see Yuri. She’s really worried about you.” I stood up from the chair I’d been seated on and I headed towards the door. I peered back at Siwon one last time before exiting, “You can do this, Siwon” and with that I walked out of the room.
