Chapter 19: Keeping my Identity Hidden
Perfect for Me“So far, I’ve only had two cases to work with. One of them was not too successful, but the other ended happily.” I pointed to some pictures that I had hanging on the wall by my desk. Whenever I had customers, I’d post their picture by my desk so that I could keep track of what work I’d done. I peered back at Yoona who was staring deeply at the pictures. She smiled as she looked back and forth between the two pictures.
“Ryeo- … I mean, Nathan. Someone has just called in. They’ll be coming in later.” Taeyeon called out to me, “Take Yoona with you. I want you to work with Yoona and teach her.”
“Yes, Taeyeon unnie… You don’t mind if I call you that, do you?” Yoona instantly replied.
“No problem, Yoona.” Taeyeon smiled.
“Sure,” I replied. I made sure to eye Taeyeon. DON’T call me RYEOWOOK. It’s Nathan.”
Taeyeon nodded and smiled meekly at me.

“Hi, I’m Taeyeon, how may we help you?” Taeyeon cheerfully greeted when the expected visitor arrived.
Yoona and I stood behind Taeyeon and smiled at her. She shyly stood behind Taeyeon. I could tell that this girl seemed a bit quiet so I suggested, “Why don’t we sit down and talk?”
She nodded and cracked a little smile.
After we were all seated, Taeyeon repeated her question, “how may we help you?”
“Well… I’ve done something terrible! I’ve taken my dad’s favorite watch to give to my best friend’s crush because I know he likes it and now it’s missing!!! Could you help me find it?” she gasped.
“Woah, woah… take a breather,” Taeyeon suggested, “We’d love to help you but the thing is, we’re a dating agency, not a detective league.” She noticed a frown form on her face, “We’re sorry.”
“Oh, but my friend’s crush really cherishes this watch,” she begged.
“Well-“ Taeyeon began to re-explain, but I cut her off.
“Young girl, what’s your name?” I asked all of a sudden.
“I’m Tiffany Hwang,” she introduced.
“Okay, I’m Nathan Kim. You seem more worried that it’s your best friend’s crush’s watch than actually losing the watch…” I observed out loud.
“Do you by any chance like him?” Yoona suddenly butted in.
I glanced at Yoona from the corner of my eye. That was what I was going to say next! Was this too much of a coincidence?
“Ah…” Tiffany’s face turned bright red. “Well… am I that easy to read?”
I smiled at her, “If that’s so, then I think that we have to help her, Taeyeon.”
Taeyeon nodded. Ryeowook and Yoona did match well together too.
“Really?! Thank you so much then!” Tiffany’s smile was so big that when I looked around the whole room seemed to brighten up. Her smile put a smile onto all three of our faces as well.
“Thank you so much Nathan@” Tiffany giggled.
“It’s-“ Taeyeon slapped before she gave away my secret. “I’m Taeyeon, but you can call me Erika.” She laughed because she was teasing me.
“I’m Yoona,” Yoona shook Tiffany’s hand.
