Taeyeon was locked in her room. After Leeteuk, Yoona, and I had been locked out, Yoona led us down to the park. Yoona and I both sat on a different swing beside each other. Was this just a coincidence?Leeteuk took a seat on the merry-go-round nearby.

            “Leeteuk, it was extremely touching when you proposed to Taeyeon… but there’s something I’m sure you don’t know…” Yoona peered at Leeteuk.

            “What is it that I don’t know?” Leeteuk had a look of worry on his face.

            “Taeyeon… she tried to kill herself because of you. A few days ago, I was visiting Taeyeon but nobody answered the door when I rang the doorbell so I had to break in. When I finally got in, the whole house was smoky and I found her in the bathtub with slash marks on her wrist and a bloody razor on the floor. Had I arrived any later, she might’ve died…” Yoona explained. She noticed a worried, fearful expression appear on Leeteuk’s face.

            “I…” Leeteuk buried his face into his hands.

“Actually, Yoona, it was all just a misunderstanding.” I suddenly cut in. I hadn’t said much since we’d arrived at the park, but now it was my turn to speak.

“What misunderstanding? Taeyeon is the victim here!” Yoona argued.

“Not exactly. Leeteuk never betrayed Taeyeon. He was never cheating. It was simply a big convoluted misunderstanding,” I elaborated.

“Then how will you explain the woman Taeyeon saw Leeteuk with? I’m clearly not delusional and neither is my client, Taeyeon.” Yoona challenged.

“Yes, neither of you is delusional, but neither are we.” I pointed at Leeteuk and me, “That lady Taeyeon saw Leeteuk with was not some other woman but his cousin. He was with her during that time because he was preparing a surprise for Taeyeon. Even though they met a short while ago, Leeteuk felt that Taeyeon was the one, so he wanted advice about marriage. His cousin is a wedding planner.”

“COUSIN?! What kind of joke is this?” Yoona jumped off her swing.

“Yes,” Leeteuk confirmed.

            Yoona unlocked Taeyeon’s apartment with a spare key. All three of us walked in. “Taeyeon? Where are you?” Yoona called out. She approached Taeyeon’s bedroom. The door wasn’t locked but when Yoona tried to open it, it wouldn’t budge. It was as if Taeyeon was sitting against the door. “Taeyeon? Where are you?” Yoona called out. She approached Taeyeon’s bedroom. The door wasn’t locked, but when Yoona tried to open it, it wouldn’t budge. It was as if Taeyeon had something blocking the door. Did she move furniture to the door or was she sitting against the door?

            Leeteuk met Yoona at the door and knocked on the door. “Taeyeon, it’s me.”

            From inside, Taeyeon flinched. She desperately wanted to open the door and fall into Leeteuk’s strong arms.

            “You have every right to be mad at me, distrust me, or hate me. I haven’t been the good boyfriend I should be to you. You’re a wonderful girlfriend and Id never trade you for anyone else.” Leeteuk apologized; attempting to show her just hoe he was feeling right now. “What you saw that day… that woman is my cousin. I was meeting her because she needed help with her wedding. You thought that I was wedding shopping with her for her and me? Well, no I was there to give her an opinion for the man she wants to marry since he is currently in the military. We’re only cousins.”

            On the other side, Leeteuk could hear Taeyeon sniffling and crying. Just hearing this hurt Leeteuk. “Taeyeon, I only love you.” Leeteuk kneeled down on the floor on the other side of Taeyeon’s bedroom door. “Taeyeon, will you marry me? I promise to give you only happiness and no worries for our future.” Leeteuk’s words were so touching that Yoona found herself crying. I sighed and put my arm around Yoona. I was lending my shoulder for her to cry on.

            The door slowly opened and Taeyeon met eye contact with Leeteuk. It had been so long since she had looked into his eyes; she could tell that he really meant it. She came out and jumped into his arms. “Yes! I will marry you!” Taeyeon pressed her lips against Leeteuk’s and they kissed passionately. It was a bit awkward for me and Yoona to watch so we decided to leave. At least they also had a happy ending.

            I sat in the agency with Yoona. It was already evening but we were still tying some loose ends. The phone rang and we both placed our hands onto the phone, mine on top of hers. I quickly removed my hand and Yoona also did the same.

            Yoona picked the phone up, “Hello?”

            “Hey, Yoona? It’s me, Tiffany. Guess what? Eunhyuk asked me out a few days ago! I almost forgot to call and tell you guys! I thought that he would reject me, but it turns out that he also liked me for some time.”

            Yoona smiled and shared the news with me. Wow. Two happy endings in one day.
