Se Kyung woke up around 7AM when the sun was only starting to rise. She felt Jonghyun's arm resting on her stomach as he slept soundlessly. Se Kyung gently try to take his arm away from her stomach so she can wake up but as she slowly lift his arm, he tighten his arm around her stomach, pulling her closer to her.


"Jonghyun." Se Kyung whisper his name.


"It's still early." Jonghyun mumble nuzzling on her neck.


"It's already 7AM. I need to help your mother cook." Se Kyung quietly explain the situation to a sleepy Jonghyun.


"She won't mind." Jonghyun stubborningly refuse to let her go.


Se Kyung struggle against him but give up after a few seconds. Jonghyun simply won't let her go even if she beg him. He wanted to keep her next to him as he continue to sleep. Slowly Se Kyung drifted into a quick nap.


She woke up again at 9AM and this time, she succeeded on getting away from Jonghyun's grip. He was probably in his deep sleep to not feel her leave. After washing up, Se Kyung walk downstairs to find her mother in law placing the food on the table.


"Sorry I couldn't help you cook. Jonghyun was being stubborn." Se Kyung explain to her mother in law.


She laugh at Se Kyung's cute story.


"Don't worry about it. You should be resting, not worrying about helping me." Mrs. Kim put down the last dishware on the table.


"I've rest enough during the last month." Se Kyung smile.


"Can you go get your father and Junsu for me."


"Sure thing." Se Kyung lightly tap at the door before opening her father in law's door to his study room.


Mr. Kim look up at Se Kyung.


"Father, come eat breakfast. It's ready." Se Kyung smile.


"Okay child." Mr. Kim place the news paper on the table as he follow Se Kyung out of the room.


Se Kyung head back upstairs to get Junsu. She softly knock at his door.


"Yes?" Junsu call from the other end.


Se Kyung open the door.


"Junsu ah, it's time to eat breakfast." Se Kyung cheerfully smile.


"Okay." Junsu stop playing his game on the computer.


Se Kyung made one last stop in Jonghyun's room.


"Jonghyun ah." Se Kyung shake a sleepy Jonghyun.


Jonghyun stir in his sleep, pulling the covers over his head.


"Hubby, get up. It's breakfast time." she continue shaking Jonghyun's arm.


Jonghyun whine with his sleepy voice.


"I.. don't want breakfast.." Jonghyun mumble.


"Fine than." Se Kyung left a sleeping Jonghyun alone as she went back to the dining table.


"Where's hyung?" Junsu ask Se Kyung as she took her seat across from Junsu.


"Still sleeping. He says he doesn't want breakfast." Se Kyung reply.


"That kid is always like that in the morning." Mr. Kim comment.


"Really?" Se Kyung ask with a surprise voice.


"You should have seen him back than. It was hard to wake him up just for school. He was late to school almost everyday." Mrs. Kim added.


"Wow.." Se Kyung say in an amuse voice.


"Hyung is a lazy in the morning time. You can't get him up at all. Wait til he gets up later, he'll be demanding for his breakfast." Junsu talk as he chew his rice.


"Junsu, don't talk with a mouthful." Mrs. Kim handed Junsu a napkin to wipe rice that he spit out.


Se Kyung laugh. She didn't know Jonghyun was such a lazy in the morning when he lives with his parents. When he's at home, he's usually up and at it.


After breakfast, all of them were laughing in the livingroom as Mrs. Kim continue to tell Jonghyun's childhood life to Se Kyung. He was such a cutie as a kid.


"Jonghyun always hang out with Key and BoA back than. When he throws a tantrum, no one can stop him. BoA sometimes can but rarely. Even I as his mother couldn't stop him."


Se Kyung nodded. She too knew it was true that when he throws a big tantrum, it was hard to stop him. Last time he almost kill Yuri, scaring her.


"Most of all, he likes to keep his belongings to himself. He doesn't like sharing them to people he doesn't know." Mrs. Kim added.


"All his belongings?" Se Kyung rephrase.


"Yes, all of his beongings." Mrs. Kim smile.


"That means your part of it." Junsu look at Se Kyung.


"Oh." Se Kyung didn't know how to reply back.


(SE KYUNG POV)


Is that why he's so touchy touchy when people touch me? He gets all defensive over me, pulling me closer to him.


"Don't tell me you're all talking about me." Jonghyun sat down next to me, putting his arm around my shoulder.


"We just got finish." Mr. Kim reply.


"Did you tell her good or bad things about me?" Jonghyun eye his parents.


"Both." Mrs. Kim laugh at Jonghyun's harden face.


I laugh when Jonghyun's face turn priceless.


"Why? Scare I might find out something about you that I'm not suppose to?" I nudge him.


"Huh? Oh, I don't have anything to hide." Jonghyun fake a smile.


"So you being lazy in the morning isn't a secret either right?" I .


"What!" Jonghyun shouted.


We all laugh at Jonghyun's reaction.


"Umma! You're telling her too much stuff!" Jonghyun playfully shouted at his mother.


We continue laughing at him.


"I want my breakfast." Jonghyun walk into the kitchen.


"He's embarrass." Mrs. Kim whisper to me.


I laugh out loud before following Jonghyun into the kitchen. Jonghyun hug me, snuggling on my side face.


"Umma's a bad influence on you." Jonghyun frown.


I laugh at his voice.


"Mother left some food for you knowing that you would ask once you're awake." Jonghyun break the hug.


"Breakfast." Jonghyun smile.


"I thought you didn't want breakfast huh Mr. Lazy ." I .


"Hey! That was back then!" Jonghyun debated.


"Are you sure? I mean, you didn't wake up this morning." I continue teasing him.


"I knew umma was a bad influence!" Jonghyun stomp his feet into the dining room.


I couldn't help but laugh at his cute reaction. After serving Jonghyun his late breakfast, we headed back home to settle our stuff.


"Jonghyun, where's my phone?" I ask him.


"Uh.. I don't know." Jonghyun yell from the other side.


I search through all the bags and my phone was no where to be found. Don't tell me we left it at the hotel.


"Are you sure you search thoroughly?" Jonghyun ask me as he look through the bags himself.


"I don't know where you put it. Find it." I commanded him.


He search through every pockets on the bag. My phone was no where to be found.


"Weird. I thought I put it in here before we came." Jonghyun mutter to himself.


"Don't tell me you lost it!" I glare at him.


"I didn't lose it. I just.. misplace it." Jonghyun defended himself.


"Where is it than?"


"I'll go check the bed." Jonghyun ran up the stairs to check the other bags while I continue ramming through the bags.


I can not afford to loose my phone at this criteria time. What if Da Bin tried calling me?


"Found it!" Jonghyun yell from upstairs.


I ran up the stairs to our room where Jonghyun found my phone.


"Where'd you place it?" I ask him, taking my phone from his grab.


"In this bag." Jonghyun pointed to his clothing bag.


I turn on my phone, waiting for it to load. How this loading takes forever.


'You have 20 missed calls, 10 voicemail.' it says on her phone screen.


She listen to the voice messages they left her. Most of the messages were from Da Bin. In of them, she was crying. Two of them were from Miss Choi.


"Se Kyung. When you hear this message, call me back. It's urgent."


I click to the next message.


"Se Kyung. It's regarding Da Bin's health. You haven't respond back to my last message. I'm sure you're busy. Please check on Da Bin for me. She won't listen to anyone's order. She's getting worse each -" I instantly close the message.


I didn't need to hear anymore to know what's happening.


"Who was it?" Jonghyun ask.


"Da Bin.." my phone slip out of my hand as I think of being very sick.


"Se Kyung?" Jonghyun walk over to me, putting his hand on my shoulder.


"H-hospital. Take me to the hospital. Right now Jonghyun." I frantically ask him.


"Okay. Calm down."


"Da Bin.. she needs me. Take me there. Now." I nervously say.


Jonghyun drove to the hospital, breaking the speed limit law. Right now it's not the time to care about the law when there's a child in the hospital who's deadly sick.


Once we reach the parking lot, I ran inside the hospital.


"Where's Da Bin?" I ask the nurses at the front.


"Jung Da Bin?" she say the full name.


"Yes. Which room?"


"Let me search it up."


I anxiously tap the desk with my finger, waiting for the nurse to search Da Bin's room up. Jonghyun breathlessly stood next to me, gasping for air.


"She's in room 200." the nurse say.


"Thank you." I read the rooms one by one.


"200." I say, opening the door..


Inside, Da Bin silently cry underneath her blanket. I slowly walk to her like a zombie, feeling my heart ripping into pieces as I hear her cries.


"Da Bin ah." I finally had the courage to call out her name.


Da Bin suddenly stop crying as her head slowly appear in sight.


"Da Bin ah.. It's unni." my shaking voice say.


"Unni.." Da Bin no longer had a cute face but a sorrow face.


"Where are you hurt?" I ask her, wiping her tears away.


"I hate unni!" Da Bin shouted.


I was puzzle. She.. she says she hates me. She slap my hands away from her face, screaming forcefully at me.


"I hate unni! Unni's a liar!" Da Bin continue yelling as I stayed on my bended knees, staring at her with a puzzle face.


"Da Bin ah.." I softly call her name out.


"Unni is a liar! Why didn't you answer my calls!? You lied to me! You say you would pick up the phone when I call! You never pick up once!" Da Bin cry louder.


Jonghyun pull me up, holding me to prevent any falls. Her nurse came running into the room right when Da Bin started throwing up. I stood there watching her throw up. No words would escape my mouth. Da Bin's tears were tainted in my heart. Her words were like needles, slowly poking my heart, making me suffer.


"Please leave." the nurse shot her head back at Jonghyun and I.


"I understand." Jonghyun bow to the nurse, taking me out with him.


Jonghyun slowly place me on the chair, sitting next to me.


Tears slowly slip down from my eyes as I recall what just happen. Da Bin, she was getting worse each day. She recall the message Miss Choi left her.


"Da Bin hates me.." I quietly whisper those words out.


"She doesn't hate you and you know that." Jonghyun rub my arm with his hand for comfort.


"No. You didn't see the looks she gave me.. She hates me. I lied to her.." I merely whisper in sadness.


"Se Kyung ah, you can't say that." Jonghyun's soothing voice comfort me.


I pull out my phone, dailing Miss Choi's phone number.


"Hello?" Miss Choi answer on the other side.


"M-miss Choi. This is.. Se Kyung.." I say.


"Oh Se Kyung. I thought I called the wrong number. Where have you been?"


"On a vacation with Jonghyun." I wipe my tears away from my face.


"It's good that you called. I have a lot of things to tell you regarding Da Bin."


"Go ahead." I was ready to hear what Miss Choi had to tell me.


"Da Bin, she has Acute Leukemia. The doctor says it's producing rather quick in her body. She's too small to fight it off. It's best of we find a donor as soon as possible."


"What?" I ask shockingly.


"If you're willing, please get tested. I know you and I want to save Da Bin. I'm not a suitable donor for her." Miss Choi say.


"I-I knnow." I hang up the phone, letting it slide down to my lap.


"What did she say?" Jonghyun's concern voice ask me.


"Huh? She wants us to get tested."


"Tested? If we're a suitable donor?" Jonghyun ask.


"Yes."


"Let's do that than." Jonghyun say.


I nod my head, following Jonghyun to seek Da Bin's doctor. He took out some blood sample from us.


"We will get back to you as soon as the results come out. I really hope we can find a suitable donor for Da Bin. She's a bright child. It'll be a shame if we loose a child like her."


"I know." Jonghyun reply back with a sad voice.


We walk back to Da Bin's room to find her asleep. I comb her hair with my fingers, watching her sleep. Jonghyun stood next to the door, watching over me.


"Da Bin.. I'm sorry.. I'm such a bad person.." I whisper.


(END POV)


Da Bin refuse to talk to Se Kyung or Jonghyun. She refuse to eat her meals as well. She would take her medicine and do what the nurses instruct her but other wise, she was in her room, hiding underneath her blanket.


It went on like this for a couple of day. Se Kyung came over to watch Da Bin each day even if Da Bin refuses to talk to her. Jonghyun was stressing over the fact that his wifey is acting like a zombie around the house.


"Da Bin ah. You have to eat." Se Kyung try talking to Da Bin but she refuse to answer.


"I know you hate me, but please eat. You need to be healthy so you can fight your bacteria inside of you." Se Kyung calmly say.


"No. I don't want to eat." Da Bin say from underneath her blanket.


Se Kyung sigh loudly and in frustration. It's been a week since Da Bin refuses to talk to her. She didn't mind if Da Bin refuse to talk to her but the fact that she doesn't eat was hurting Se Kyung. How can a child like her refuse to eat when she needs nutrients to keep her strong?


"Da Bin ah. Eat huh? Just one spoon." Se Kyung tearfully ask.


"No. I hate you. Go away." Da Bin yell.


Se Kyung was running out of ideas how to make Da Bin eat. Da Bin doesn't listen to anyone at all. She was stubborn about everything.


"Fine. If you take a bite, I will disappear from your world. Just, eat huh?" Se Kyung's tears slowly stream down her cheeks.


Da Bin slowly poke her head out, seeing Se Kyung in tears.


"If I eat one spoonful, you'll leave, right?" Da Bin ask.


"Yes. I promise you I will leave." Se Kyung wipe her tears, offering her a spoonful of porridge.


Da Bin stare at the spoonful of porridge before eating it. Se Kyung watch her swallow the porridge down.


"There. I ate it. Leave." Da Bin pointed to the door.


"Okay. I'm leaving." Se Kyung stood up from her chair, walking towards the door.


Se Kyung stop her movement, turning back to face Da Bin.


"Unni is very sorry. She didn't mean to ignore your calls. If she could, she would change the world just to be with you. Please eat so that unni doesn't have to worry." Se Kyung sorrowfully voice.


Da Bin watch Se Kyung with tearing eyes, nodding her head. Se Kyung smile one last time before stepping out of the room. Once she was out the room, she burst into tears, walking towards the elevator.


Da Bin, unni wishes you the best, Se Kyung thought deep inside of her. Once Se Kyung left, Da Bin jump off her bed, chasing after Se Kyung.


"Unni!" Da Bin call but was too late. The elevator door as already close. She stood there as her tears stream down her eyes.


"Unni. Da Bin is sorry. Da Bin didn't hate unni. Da Bin wants unni to come back." Da Bin mumble her words before blacking out.


Se Kyung was halfway through the hospital lobby when she receive a phone call.


"Hello?" Se Kyung weakly answer.


"Is this Kim Se Kyung?" the person ask.


"Yes it is. Please speak."


"Da Bin just collaspe."


Se Kyung stop her feet.


"W-what did you just say?"


"Da Bin fainted just now. Her condition doesn't look too good."


"I'm on my way." Se Kyung close her phone as she ran back up to her room.


"Where is she?" she ask the doctor.


"She's not getting enough nutrition to support her body. If you can, please talk to the child." the doctor say.


"I understand." Se Kyung walk into Da Bin's room.


Da Bin lay on her bed, sleeping peacefully. Se Kyung couldn't stop crying as she stood next to her, watching her breathe in breathe out.


"Da Bin.. Why are you doing this to unni?" Se Kyung whisper.


Jonghyun ran to the hospital upon hearing Da Bin's new.


"How is she?" Jonghyun ask Se Kyung.


Se Kyung look up at Jonghyun emotionless.


"She's getting worse each day Jonghyun.. What are we going to do?" Se Kyung burst into tears.


Jonghyun held her next to him, rubbing her back as she continue crying. A day after they went to get tested, the results came back as negative. Neither of them were a match to Da Bin. Since than, Se Kyung's been wondering around the house like a zombie.


A few days pass by. Da Bin finally started eating correctly. Se Kyung treated Da Bin as her own child, feeding her, brushing her hair and doing a motherly talk with Da Bin. When Jonghyun gets off work, he would stop by to visit.


He watch Se Kyung's bright smile as she laugh at Da Bin's cuteness. He too couldn't help but to smile.


Jonghyun and Se Kyung told the news to his family who's heart went aching over a poor child. BoA, Key, Minho, Onew and Taemin got tested along with Jonghyun's family but the news wasn't great. Neither one of them were a match. Still with high hope, Se Kyung didn't give up. She was bound to find a match to save Da Bin's life even if that means she has to beg that person.


"You need to get some rest. You've been up most of the time." Jonghyun say to his tired wife.


"I'm fine. Da Bin needs me by her side. I can't leave her. No, I'll never leave her until she gets better." Se Kyung responded with a tired voice.


"Rest for today. I'll stay with her." Jonghyun kiss her forehead, indicating for her to fall back asleep.


Se Kyung didn't argue back as her tired eyes slowly close. Jonghyun waited for her to fully fall asleep before leaving the house. He call BoA to keep Se Kyung company while he stays with Da Bin for today.


"What do you want to do today Da Bin?" Jonghyun ask her.


"Where's unni?" Da Bin ask Jonghyun.


"She's at home resting today. Today, it's only you and me. Tell me what you want to do." Jonghyun smile.


Da Bin tap her chin cutely with her finger thinking of what she wanted to do today.


"I want a piggy back ride." Da Bin cutely respond.


"Piggy back ride?" Jonghyun rephrase the question.


"Unni always give me a piggy back ride." Da Bin smile.


"Okay. Climb onto my back."


Da Bin cutely giggle as she climb onto Jonghyun's back, holding her hands together.


"Hold on tight. The plane is about to take off." Jonghyun playfully say.


Da Bin giggle, tighten her grip. Jonghyun held onto Da Bin, taking out into an explore. They stop at some places to see things. Their last stop was at the newly born babies.


"They are cute." Da Bin smile.


"Not as cute as you are." Jonghyun smile.


"Really?" Da Bin hover over to see Jonghyun's expression.


"Yes, you're the cutest person alive." Jonghyun turn his head back, facing Da Bin.


She cutely laugh.


"That's what unni says too. She says I'm the cutest person in the world and she wouldn't mind spending her time with me." Da Bin talk.


Jonghyun nod, continue listening to Da Bin's story.


"Unni talks a lot about you. She says you love children and hope that one day she can give you one. Unni also say that I can call her umma if I wanted to. She's the best unni." Da Bin smile.


Jonghyun smile to himself. He knew that his wifey is a nice person who helps out those who are in needed.


"Would you like to call her umma?" Jonghyun suddenly ask.


"Yes but.. I'm not her daughter.." Da Bin's smile fade away.


"Da Bin, from now on, call me appa okay?" Jonghyun instructed her.


"Why?" Da Bin ask with a curious look.


"From now on, I'll be the best appa you can ever have."


"Really?" Da Bin shot him a happy look.


"Yes really. What does little Da Bin want to eat today?" Jonghyun ask.


"Meat." Da Bin reply back with a giggle.


"Okay. Meat it is." Jonghyun took her back into her room.


They spent the rest of the day playing outside with other kids. Jonghyun chase them around, hearing their cute laughters. He too couldn't stop smiling upon hearing their cheerful smile. How he wish life was like this.


Se Kyung woke up from her long sleep.


"You're up." BoA open the door.


"When did you get here?" Se Kyung tiredly ask.


"Not long ago. Are you hungry? Do you want to eat yet?" BoA ask her a ton of questions.


Se Kyung laugh at BoA's concern voice.


"I'll eat first." Se Kyung jump off from the bed, following BoA to the dining table.


Se Kyung slowly chew her food while BoA play with Yoogeun in the livingroom. Yoogeun would come into the diningroom to bug Se Kyung.


"Yoogeun, stop bugging your auntie. She needs to eat." BoA warn a hyper Yoogeun.


Yoogeun sticks his tongue at BoA before running away. BoA sigh as she took the seat across from Se Kyung.


"Did you eat yet?" Se Kyung ask.


"Don't worry about me. Worry about yourself first. You lost a lot of weight these past few weeks." BoA say in a concern voice.


"I'm fine." Se Kyung lie.


"Se Kyung ah. I know you're worry about Da Bin but you have to make sure to keep yourself healthy too."


"I know." Se Kyung force a smile out.


"Don't worry. I know when the time comes, there will be a suitable donor for Da Bin." BoA smile.


"I hope.. I'm scare she might leave me.." Se Kyung place her chopsticks on the table, holding back her tears.


"She's a strong girl. She'll be fine."


Se Kyung nod her head. Se Kyung did some shopping with BoA and Yoogeun. She walk pass a hat store that caught her attention. She walk inside the store, finding a cute beanie for Da Bin. She notice that Da Bin's lossing her hair each passing day.


"Are you getting one for Da Bin?" BoA ask.


"Do you think this pink beanie will look good on her?"


"That's cute. I think she'll love it." BoA smile.


Se Kyung pay for the beanie hat. Yoogeun's hyperness fade away as he fell asleep in BoA's arm.


"I seriously don't know what his father fed him this morning. He's been running around unusually." BoA explain Yoogeun's weird behavior.


"Maybe he's just happy to come visit me." Se Kyung joke.


"I think that's it." BoA smile.


BoA sent Se Kyung back home around 6PM. Jonghyun was still at the hospital with Da Bin. Se Kyung notice that the house is a mess. She sweep and mop the floors, did the laundries, tidy up the rooms and threw away the trashes.


By the time she was finish, it was near dark. She yawn as she sat down on the couch waiting for Jonghyun to come home.


Jonghyun return home after putting Da Bin to sleep. He came home to find his own wifey asleep on the couch, hugging a pink beanie. He smile to himself.


"Wifey.." he whisper to her.


She didn't make a movement. Jonghyun slowly pick her up from the couch, carrying her to their bedroom. He gently put her down on the bed, covering her body with the blanket. He took the beanie away from her hand, looking at it.


"It must be for Da Bin." Jonghyun quietly say.
