~Infinite Secret Santa 2013~ *Santas Revealed!*
Aesthetically Pleasing
For onlyforone
Pairing: Gyujong
Prompt: People say that Sungjong is the prettiest but he thinks it's Sunggyu.
Being called pretty was nothing new to Lee Sungjong.

In fact, it was normal.

The catcalls that echoed around him as he walked down the street, the endless stares as he walked down the halls at school and the numerous confession letters stuffed into his locker. It was completely normal and he really thought absolutely nothing of it, except that there was one person who Sungjong thought was prettier than him.

Kim Sunggyu, a senior with a blinding smile and heart-warming personality.

Now it wasn’t as though Sungjong was friends with Sunggyu, heck, he’d never even properly introduced himself, but the little glances that he stole as they passed each other in the hallways, or the laughter that made Sungjong’s hair stand on end was always present.

His friends always thought he was losing his mind, pining after a boy that he didn’t even talk to, but he always insisted he wasn’tpining, just admiring. Disbelieving “uh huh”s and a taunting, “if you say so” was thrown his way each time.

Sungjong’s nose almost met his food, when he ducked his head as Sunggyu walked past with his usual friends and Sungjong’s best friend Dongwoo chuckled, “You’ve got it bad my friend, even if you’re in denial.” The pretty boy shook his head, but as Sungyeol and Hoya sent disbelieving looks his way, he started to evaluate his feelings.

.:~*~:.

Sunggyu,” Myungsoo called his friend, as the two shuffled through the cafeteria queue slowly, “Did you catch the looks those juniors were giving you?” He spooned a heap of rice into his bowl, cocking his head sideways as his friend hummed in response,
They were cute though.”

Myungsoo grinned, seeing an opportunity to tease, “What?” he gasped theatrically, “You could actually see them through those small eyes of yours?” He ducked the metal spoon that Sunggyu swung at his head,
Very funny, Ice Prince.” He muttered sullenly, turning back to retrieving his lunch.

Woohyun chuckled, as he and Myungsoo glanced over at the three juniors they’d passed. Two of them were seemingly teasing the third, which sported a bright blush across his delicate cheekbones. The two seniors shared a look of mischief, silently agreeing to start matchmaking.

.:~*~:.

Once the bell rang for the start of class, Myungsoo and Woohyun set their plan into action. Lady Fortuna was on their side, for the class they had was a joint class – coincidentally with Sungjong’s junior class.

As the two classes trudged through the freshly fallen snow of the school courtyard, towards the looming building of the school gym, Myungsoo couldn’t help but pretend to trip, almost landing on the cute little junior that he and Woohyun were eyeing.

The slim boy was stronger then he looked, as he swung around in surprise, barely managing to catch Myungsoo as he fell forward, “Are you alright, sunbae?” Myungsoo nodded, faking his shock at his near face plant into the cold snow. As the junior stood him straight, Myungsoo could see the boy’s friends snickering behind him as Woohyun tried to hide his own laughter.

Myungsoo burned red, as the junior’s slim hands slid down his muscled arms and he suddenly felt eyes burning into the back of his head. Turning slightly, he managed to catch a glimpse of a seemingly jealous Sunggyu before the other senior turned away. Myungsoo caught Woohyun’s gaze and the two cracked a grin.

Their plan was working a lot sooner than they thought.

Once inside the bitterly cold gym, instead of instructing the classes to change into their usual short and sport shirts, they were told to rug up as best they could, because the day’s class was cancelled in favour of a snowball war.

Cheers from both classes echoed as the students rushed to grab scarves and coats from lockers.

.:~*~:.

The snowball war was in full swing; the juniors and seniors spilt into jumbled teams of six, as they ran around the snowy school grounds, trying to find people of opposing teams to peg flying snow at. The school grounds were a blue of running students, all dressed in large coats and only stopping to grab a chunk of snow to hurl at other students.

Hiding somewhere up a snow covered tree, Sungjong hid between the branches, glad of his fitness and agility to have picked a good vantage point. He had been incredibly shy, when two seniors had bounded over to he and his friends when they had been picking teams. They had been dragging Sunggyu behind them and had smiled impishly when Sungjong’s friends agreed to be the remaining part of their team.

Once the whistle had sounded, Sungjong had bolted, running as fast as he could to a secluded part of the school and scrambling up a tree. His hiding place had been good while it lasted, but the close call of a snowball whizzing past his ear had him running for a different spot.

He stumbled a few times in the snow, but finally made it to a clear spot behind the school office, only to have a hand clamp down over his mouth and someone drag him further into the shadows.

When the hands let go, Sungjong spun around, “S-Sunggyu sunbae!”

The senior made a shushing noise and couldn’t help but notice how mysteriously y the junior looking in half shadow. Snapping himself out of it as best he could (Now is not the time Sunggyu!), he crouched down and pulled Sungjong with him, hiding from other teams in the shadows. They held their breath twice, as the tell tale crunching of snow under someone’s boots came too close for their liking.

When the coast was clear, Sungjong fell onto his and sighed in relief, “That was way too close.” Sunggyu agreed with a nod and leant back against the brick wall,
So… Sungjong, right? I’ll admit you’re a lot prettier than some people say.” Sungjong giggled and flushed pink,
Ah, thanks. You’re not bad looking yourself.”

Don’t put your foot in your mouth, Sungjong.
Sungjong blushed darker as Sunggyu sent him a 100-megawatt smile and had to swallow heavily to avoid choking. Even in half shadow, Sunggyu had a devastating effect on his heart.

S-So what are we g-going to do?”

Great work Jong, he thought, Way to stutter.

Aww he stuttered! Sunggyu squealed mentally. How cute is he?

Sunggyu shrugged, as he really didn’t know what they were going to do. They had to keep hidden – that was a given. He dared to peek out from behind the brick wall and caught a glance of the battle zone. Agonising; probably the only word Sunggyu could use to describe it.

His eyes flitted from student to student; wincing each time someone copped a snowball to the head or crotch.

Thank god we’re not out there.

A sudden movement caught his eye and Sunggyu started, dragging Sungjong further into the dark, huddling over him because his black coat would blend better than Sungjong’s deep burgundy one. One wrong move and they’d both be out of the game.

Hearing laboured breathing getting closer, Sunggyu willed Sungjong not to ask any questions and stay silent. Of course, the junior wasn’t a mind reader and opened his mouth to say something.

Sunggyu panicked.

He didn’t want to be found and his hands were preoccupied with keeping Sungjong hidden, so he kissed him.

Open mouthed, right on target.

And Sungjong practically melted.

Keeping an ear out for any intruders, Sunggyu didn’t think twice and pushed forward slightly, adding pressure from his mouth to Sungjong’s and the butterflies in his stomach erupted when the junior pressed back.

A few seconds later, the “enemy” had left and Sunggyu fell off Sungjong with a huff. Neither of them said a word; sitting in seemingly awkward silence. They stared at each other, eyes wandering over every little detail and their brains memorising them.

Even then, after a pretty butch first kiss, one thought the other couldn’t be more beautiful.

Visinel: I AM SO WHIPPED, I EVEN SHIP GYUJONG NOW. THANKS, GUYS, REALLY /SOBS/ It was cute and I really enjoyed it

StarlightSpirit: I admit that Gyujong is my least favorite Infinite ship, but this was so unbearably cute that I don't even care anymore (what has this Secret Santa done to me?) :P This was so cute! Great job.
