Couple: OT7 with Myungyeol, Woogyu and Yadong

Prompt: Infinite members as high school students and is investigating the person behind all the spooky things that happen after a group of students went missing.

"Have you got any other news about Teen Top?" asked the president.

"Not much but I think I got some other information," the vice president replied while still focusing on his computer when suddenly someone barged in to their office.

"Hyung! There's someone that got the letter again!" Their youngest in the team blurted out, while catching his breath.

“It happened again?” The tallest asked.

“The seventh time this day if I don't miscount” his partner answered.

“Well that's a lot.”

The student council room that filled with 7 people had been busy with this kind of chit-chat for almost a week, there were some kind of mysterious letters the students kept receiving and even though it was filled with nothing but a sign and the trademark stamp below it, they still needed to investigate it. Moreover, a group consisting of six people had just gone missing this earlier week. The fact that they knew that group well burdened them more, they felt more worried because they usually hung out with them too. And not just that, the letters consisting of a sign and stamp kept being received by the other students after they are missing, what could this be?

This student council itself consisted of 7 people with a dinstinct personalities but unexpectedly, they got along extremely well. First is the president, the oldest and curently in his third year, Kim Sunggyu, he and his partner -the vice president- Nam Woohyun are the brains of this group, Sunggyu with his logic and Woohyun with his unexpected ideas. After that we have the executor team -also the rap team, the dance team- Jang Dongwoo and Lee Howon (the later called himself Hoya to suit the hip-hop image). This second group is the strongest among them, they are the one who will deal with the suspects if they didn't want to cooperate nicely. The last team is the investigator, the choding and the black addict, Lee Sungyeol and Kim Myungsoo. The later decided to named himself 'L' because his name coincidentally is the same as the comedian Park Myungsoo and he used to got teased a lot because of that so yeah, he changed it. Despite their nickname that's not charismatic at all, they are very good at investigate so they never miss even a little secret the suspect has. The last but not least, the diva maknae, not working in the team, he works alone and can fit in every situation, he is multitalented, sometimes he can give a great idea to the brain team, despite his fragile image, he is strong enough to beat someone (not as strong as the other 6 but he can knock someone out too), and can sometimes investigate when he feels like it.

Back to the case, this group has been investigating about Teen Top's disappearance but they never seem to find the light to it. They feel the urge to move faster because they're afraid that something bad happened to that group. As they scrumbled together in that room, suddenly a student came to deliver a package to them.

"You open that," the leader told the choding.

"No! What if that's a bomb?! Yah maknae go open it!" The choding replied while pointing at the maknae.

"So it's okay if I get the bomb?! Hyung you're too much!" Sungjong replied while wailing like a whale.

"Let's just do rock-paper-scissor game then," Woohyun then decided and everyone agreed to that. L then got chosen to open the package as a result.

"Whaaaattt??? No no no L can't open that!" The choding vigorously against the idea of his partner opening the package.

"Then who'll do that? L lost the game so he needs to do it," Woohyun argues back.

"I'll open it then," the choding gives in with a sigh. As a result, he opened the package while having L as a koala on his back, worrying something will happen to his partner. And when it was opened there was just a piece of paper inside, the first word that comes to Sungyeol's mouth is: "What a waste of space! This person can send a letter instead rather than using a big box like this" and he continued to rant around while still having L on his back (he is a very environmental-friendly person).

The leader cooly snatched the paper from Sungyeol hand to read the content. "Hi handsome-but-stupid team!! I wonder how come they can say you're all excellent when you can't even find Teen Top 'till now! Let me be nice enough to give you a clue and a limited time to work your brain out! Meet me up at Sungyeol's second time at night beside Han river tomorrow. If you can't solve this easy as pie riddle then don't hope you all can meet Teen Top again. Till that time. Adieu. Mwah." Sunggyu read the letter (till the kiss sound, resulting in Woohyun got all hyped up).

"So what's the meaning of this? Should we go or not? Is this a prank?" Sungjong asked as all of them stayed quiet.

"These are the same stamp and sign the students got," L muttered quietly.

"I have this feeling that we should go, this might be true, but when?" Hoya stated..

 

After a while…

"It's must be my sasaeng fan," Sungyeol said out of the blue, earning himself a hard smack on the head from leader then whinning around like a little kid making Myungsoo tried to ease the pain by rubbing his head slowly. After all the mess, Woohyun managed to say "It must be midnight time."

-silence-

"Ah it's right," Myungsoo replied then Woohyun came to high-fived with him.

"Why so?" Dongwoo asked, the 4 other member nodded in agreement.

"You see, Sungyeol is 'Yeol', second is referring to two (as in korean 'du'), then at night, it's all concluded as 'yeol du (twelve)' at night, means midnight," Myungsoo explained while Woohyun is nodding.

"I didn't know that you were this smart," Sungyeol said to Myungsoo.

"I'm originally the brain of this group remember?" Myungsoo replied.

"Ah right, maybe I should just work alone, you should join Sunggyu-Hyung and Woohyun-Hyung as the brain of this group then," Sungyeol replied seriously.

"But I choose to work with you though, besides I don't want to interfere those couple, I'm afraid I'll get kicked out," L said while hanging (again) on Sungyeol's back.

"Stop being lovey-dovey Hyungs! I'm still alone remember?!" Sunjong interrupted, clearly getting jealous because he has no parner yet.

"We're not doing that kind of thing though," Dongwoo said in defense while Hoya nodding beside him.

"Okay guys so it's fixed that we're going to Han River at tomorrow midnight, let's make a plan then," Sunggyu takes his role again as the leader to drive them back to the case.

That night they end up sleeping at Sunggyu's place to discuss the plan, they arrange it already and are currently preparing themselves physically and mentally to find Teen Top and whoever kidnap them.

Tomorrow midnight...

"Where is that sasaeng?" Sungyeol asked loudly.

"Keep your mouth Sungyeol-ah, they can come anytime so be prepared," Hoya said while trying to shut his mouth using his palm. Being a choding he is, Sungyeol Hoya's palm, resulting in Hoya changing to Howon the baby, whining to Dongwoo about how disgusting Sungyeol's saliva on his hand. Dongwoo then calming him down saying "It's not infected though, we saw L being healthy till this day right? Just brush it off on the tree over there." Howon then nodded and left, coming back as Hoya again.

Their peaceful and playfulness didn't stay long as an arrow landed right next to Sungjong, making him shriek in surprise. All his hyung immediately come to his way to see if something wrong had happened to their maknae. Sunggyu takes the arrow then find out that there's a letter on it. He quickly unfolded it and read, "Congrats on solving your first riddle, there's more coming and if you're not be careful, some of you might be gone tonight. The next riddle you must solve is the place where we will meet face to face. It's near there but can't be seen, it's the opposite of the house position and you stuff things there. Happy thinking!"

"It has the same sign and stamp there, but isn't that Teen Top's sign?" Sungyeol said earning a glare from the leader.

"How come you just mention it now?! We've been getting tons of it for almost a week!" Sunggyu exploded.

"I never paid attention too much, I just know that everybody began to receive it," Sungyeol shrugged.

"That's a little creepy," Sungjong said while watching from afar.

"They are creepy?" Hoya asked.

"The letter, Sunggyu-hyung's explosion, and Sungyeol-hyung's ignorance."

“I’m not ignorant!” Sungyeol who was actually stood far away from him managed to hear Sungjong and denying it while the latter just shook his head careless to what Sungyeol’s saying.

"We have to move fast, who knows what might happen later if we waste time," Woohyun then commanded them to quickly think about the riddle, stopping the fight between the leader, the choding, and the maknae.

"It must be the warehouse hyung," Sungyeol said suddenly.

"Why so?" Dongwoo asked.

"Well we can't see it so it must be at a hidden place, I know there is an abandoned warehouse just below that bridge," Sungyeol said pointing to a particular bridge not far from them.

"It's opposite the house position which usually located above the bridge, it's under the bridge right? Then don't we stuff things to a warehouse?" He ended his explanation seriously, losing all his choding image.

"Okay so warehouse it is, let's go there," Sunggyu said.

Hoya took the lead to walk to the warehouse since he is the strongest, when he opened the door to go inside, there's something thrown at them. They looked closely and realized it was a bomb.

Bomb.

Bomb!

BOMB!

"Move away!" Hoya shouted while pushing everyone to get far from that bomb. Then surprisingly, the impact of the exploded bomb only affected a two meter radius.

"Fortunately it's a small bomb, be careful, they might be serious in injuring us," Dongwoo warned them.

When they took a look closer to the bomb, there was another letter attached on it. L snatched it then read, "A bomb! What a pleasant greeting right? Hahaha. If I'm surprising you I'm sorry then ^^ Well it's just the beginning guys, get in to find your friends, or to lose your team? You decide ^^"

"It's not funny anymore, we won't lose anyone!" Sungjong said in fury, Sungyeol came to give him a pat on his back.

"You're right, we all will come out safely from here and we will bring Teen Top also with us," Sungyeol replied calming him down.

When they got inside, they found out that the warehouse got divided to 3 directions, making them need to get separated to explore all parts of this warehouse. After deciding the teams (by rock-paper-scissor game again of course), first team is Sunggyu and Hoya, second team is Sungyeol and Sungjong, and the rest become a team.

"We'll try to get out as soon as possible, time limit of two hours okay? If something happens try to call the other team to inform or to ask for help get it? Now you're dismissed!" Sunggyu commaned them as they all nodded in understanding, they put their hands together in the middle to say their cheer before going their separate ways. "Infinite hwaiting!" They called in unison.

 

Sunggyu & Hoya team:

"Hyung which place should we check first?" Hoya asked Sunggyu when they found out that what they are facing is all doors.

"We'll just check it one by one, remember not to enter the room immediately, check the surroundings first, we don't want to get down just because of our carelessness right?"

"Yes Hyung," Hoya replied shortly, obeying Sunggyu.

They started by going separate ways to make this checking session short. When Hoya opened the second door and checked inside, the door suddenly got closed by itself and when Hoya looked back to see who closed the door, he saw a man aproaching him.

"Who are you?" Hoya asked.

"You don't need to know. Let's just keep it short, if you win against me, you get one of your friends back but if you lose, you're going to be missing just like your friends currently are," the man replied.

While the man preparing the game, Hoya checked his surroundings in case he lost and needed to escape. "Twp windows and one door, I could break the window and escape from there in case I lose against whatever this person coming up with," He made a mental note in his head.

"Let's play," the man said making Hoya looked at his direction to find out that they're going to play chess.

"Are you kidding me?" Hoya said in disbelief.

Meanwhile Sunggyu who heard the door being closed started approaching that door, trying to make Hoya come out from that room, only to be halted halfway by another man in suit.

"Who are you?" Sunngyu asked.

"While your friend is playing inside, whydon't we play outside here?" The man replied while smirking.

"Well if you want to play, just play alone, I need to let my friend get out there," Sunggyu tried to pass him.

"I don't take a no as an answer," he said while approaching Sunggyu slowly, "besides you don't really have a choice anyway," he punched Sunggyu hard on his face. Sunggyu fell on the ground, letting out a grunt escape from his mouth. He then wiped the corner of his mouth which by now was bleeding.

"You messed with a wrong person," he let out a murderous glare to the man, who surprisingly didn't flinch to that stare, instead he just replied the look with an expressionless face. "I might be not the power of the group," Sunggyu approached that man and surprisingly give a full blow to the man's stomach, making him cough and took a few steps back, "but even all of them don't dare to mess with me if I'm angry," he gives another punch, this time to the man's face, making the glassed he is wearing break and fal to the floor, "and unfortunately you have just met that state of me," he gave a numerous powerful punches and kicks till the man was unconscious on the floor.

"Sorry to say that the bruises won't go in a few days, good luck in healing that," he said passing the man's body again to the door, only to be surprised by Hoya who suddenly came out from that door with a delightful and proud face plastered on his face.

"Hyung I think I can be a mechanic someday," he said ignoring the worried stare from Sunggyu who was currently checking his body and even turning him around.

“Hyung are you listening to me?” Hoya asked but no response coming from the older.

"Hyung you have to listen well to my story! You see I got locked in that room by a random man, he asked me to play chess with him, then you know that I never play it in my whole life right? Then I decided to give him a kick, hard on the stomach but it hurt my foot instead!...." Hoya continued to share his excitement till Sunggyu need to stop him by asking, "So which part of it shows that you're good with machines?" Hoya sigh then said, "That's why you need to listen well Hyung! It turns out that the man was a robot and has a bomb on it!"

"Then how could you escape harmless?" Sunggyu asked.

"I sprinkled salt on it, it broke immediately!" Hoya said proudly.

"And why do you have salt with you?" Sunggyu looked at him with a curious stare.

"Ah that.... Ummm well you know I like salty food hyung, so....," Hoya didn't manage to finish his words as a big slap landed on his head.

"How many times I should tell you that salty food is not good for your health?! I thought you had overcome it when you never ask for extra salt on your food, turns out you bring your own salt?!" Sunggyu ranted to the now whining Howon.

When Sunggyu realized Howon was going to sob anytime, he started to panic and then said, "Okay I'm sorry if I hurt your head, now let's go to the place we promised to gather together," Sunggyu said thinking maybe he can find Dongwoo there to calm him down.

He started to walk away when Hoya finally grabbed his hand saying, "Wait hyung, I had just remembered that there's another letter inside the bomb attached to the robot back then, it might contain a clue, did your opponent have it too?"

"Eh I didn't check him, I was just too busy beating him, let me check him, you wait here," Sunggyu said while running back to the unconscious body he left just then, finding a cellphone instead of the clue. Meanwhile Hoya who got left thought, “Hyung you sometimes could be a too…”

"This could contain a clue too," he thought while bring the cellphone back to where he left Hoya and they went together to the gathering place.

 

Dongwoo, Woohyun, Myungsoo team:

"Where is the end of this way? I can't seem to see it," Woohyun said to no one in particular.

They had been walking through that way for almost 30 minutes and couldn't find anything, at first they were still playfully chatting and playing around (well just Dongwoo and Woohyun, Myungsoo was in L state when Sungyeol was not around). They began to get bored and wantied to just go back and said there's nothing on their path when L suddenly said, "Hyung, look in the front of us."

The two hyungs looked at the direction he is pointing at then opened their mouth widely in shock. In front of them were all standing statues with different expression or pose. It brought shivers to their spine until Dongwoo said, "I don't think I can get near it, it's scary, what if it starts moving?" He was always scared anyway.

"Then you stay here alone while Myungsoo and I go in? Are you sure?" Woohyun said to him.

"On the second thought, maybe I'll be better sticking around you guys," he concluded.

When they started to approach the mouth of that hall, they found a letter which said, "Welcome to my collection room! As you can see, I have many statues there, four of them hold a clue for you to get your friends back so good luck in searching! P.S.: You never know when you'll find an obstacle so be prepared "

"So we can't search through it recklessly, there must be a note about which statue has the clue, search for that first," Dongwoo somehow overcame his fear and took the lead.

"But how come we are searching for four clues in a sea of statues like this?!" Woohyun started complaining but got ignored because the two other had gone to search for it. Woohyun then decided to stop whinning and searching through the statue, he lift one random statue then find a note, "Not this one, BOOOMM!!”

At the same time, the statue exploded, sending pieces of it everywhere near and unfortunately, one piece of it managed to make a cut scar on Woohyun's arm, making him winced in pain. The other two who heard the explosion immediately came to the source of it and found Woohyun busily trying to wrap a piece of cloth around his wound. Dongwoo seeing him struggling to do those then help him tying it securely, after that Woohyun muttered a quiet "thanks" to him.

"Some of it may contain a clue, but the rest are traps, be careful, search for something that can protect your body in case something like that happens again!" Woohyun said and the other two nodded in agreement then started to search for the clue again. This time it was L. He lifted one of the statues but instead of a clue, he found a note saying, "The first clue is located on the left part of this room, the one that is scrunching his face and bending his back, good luck!" But that is not the end, just when he finished reading the note, the statue exploded again, fortunately he had a piece of wood he found just then on the floor, he used that to shield him from the explosion.

"Uwaaahh thank God I found this," L muttered again then heard a faint shout from Dongwoo asking if he was okay, which he replied by shouting 'Yes'.

He then made his way to the statue the note mentioned just then, when he found it, it seemed strange because it seemed alive, sending chills down his spine. He then tried to lift it but no avail, it was somehow very heavy, not like the other statue. He then decided to hit it using a steel he found nearby. When the steel make a contact with the statue, he can hear a low grunt escaping from the statue which send him to run finding his hyungs.

"Hyuuuuuunnnnnggggg!!!!" Myungsoo screamed while running then he bump into Woohyun making both of them fell to the floor.

"What is it L?" Woohyun asked annoyed while trying to get up from the cold floor.

"Hyung you need to go with me to the statue, it can make a sound!" He explained while dragging Woohyun with him.

The later who is curious just let himself being dragged by the younger. When they reached the statue, the crack L making seemed to got have become bigger and the statue seemed to make a little move, which made Myungsoo go hide behind Woohyun.

"Don't tell me..." It's all Woohyun said before he takes the steel and started to break all parts of the statue, slowly the cracks starting to fall over, revealing a real person in it.

"Changjo?" L said in disbelief.

"Oh God. L you stay here, take care of Changjo, I'm going to tell Dongwoo about this," Woohyun instructed and L nodded while putting Changjoo's arm to his shoulder, helping him to walk and find a place to settle down temporarily.

"Dongwoo-yah, try searching the clue through the weird-posing statues, I'll search this way and you go that way," Woohyun who found Dongwoo immediately told him what to do.

"And why so?" Dongwoo asked confused.

"The weird-posing ones could be a Teen Top member, me and L found Changjo just then," Woohyun explained.

"What?! They put cement to a real human?! Whoa really insane, that could kill you know....." Dongwoo said while starting to search in the direction Woohyun instructed him, leaving Woohyun himself dumbfounded, shaking his head and started searching to his way. Just a while later they managed to find another twp, Cap and Niel.

"Uwaaahh hyung thank you so much, I almost lost consciusness inside that cement!" Niel said while gasping for air.

"You can breath in there?" Dongwoo asked in disbelief.

"Yeah a little, just enough to make us stay alive hyung," Cap, the leader, explained to the Infinite members present.

"Now we have one left to find, let's ...." Woohyun who tried to instructed them to search another one got cut by a sudden yelling, "Hey guys!" coming from the room's entrance, revealing Sunggyu and Hoya walking to their way.

"What bring you guys here? We're supposed to meet at our meeting place isn't it? What if we didn't meet each other and..." Woohyun didn't manage to continue his nagging when Sunggyu had reached him and hugged him as if he was glad that he can meet his partner still safe and sound. Hoya did the same thing to Dongwoo who was laughing happily when accepting the hug, not forgetting to pat the .

"Hyung you know just then, I got hit on the head by Sunggyu-hyung," Howon whined and told the story (which surprisingly he hadn't forgotten) to Dongwoo who just replied with  "It's okay" multiple times while (still) patting his .

"What bring you guys here then?" L asked the newcomer.

"Ah right, just now in our direction, we managed to find some clue, one clue said 'go to the middle direction, maybe you can find all of your friends, or maybe your team also, but you're going to miss someone' so we go here, I think all the member of Teen Top are here," Hoya explained to the other while showing the clue.

"And we might have another clue in this cellphone I found, but there's a passcode which I don't know," Sunggyu said taking out a cellphone from his pocket.

"So it means all Teen Top's membesr are here? Then what exists on the end of the right direction Sungyeol and Sungjong are going to?" Woohyun said worrily, he and Sungyeol are quite close friends (read:prank team) anyway.

"Ah wait, how many characters is it for the passcode hyung?" Cap asked Sunggyu.

"It's six, why?" Sunggyu replied.

"I don't know about the other members, but I have one character with me, it's U" Cap said.

"I have one with me too, it's A," Niel said adding some clue.

"What do you have Changjo?" Hoya asked.

"I have I with me, but are those characters making a word? It’s all vocal letters you know," Changjo replied.

"Let's find all of your members first, then we can arrange it," L concluded and they disperse again to search in all direction.

About an hour later, they managed to find the rest of Teen Top member -Chunji, L.Joe, Ricky- and collect the rest of the letters which were E, D, and another I.

"What could this lead to?" Sunggyu said in frustation.

"Let's put it all down to the floor and arrange it," L conclude.

 

After about 10 minutes…

"Isn't it 'adieu'?" Woohyun sounding his mind.

“What makes you think about a strange word like that hyung?” Chunji asked curious.

“The kidnappers once sent us a letter contain that word,” Woohyun replied.

"But what's the meaning of another I here?" Niel asked.

"It could be an exclamation mark," Cap said suddenly with a bright face just like he found something fantastic.

"Right! Yeah it's right! Why I never thought about it?! That’s why I thought it’s strange because it’s not capitalized!" Dongwoo suddenly got hyper and make a fuss about that exclamation mark.

"Enter that pass Hyung," L asked Sunggyu because he was worried about his only dongsaeng in the team and his partner.

Sunggyu just nodded and enter that, his facial expression lift a bit because finally it's right, but what he saw on the screen bring his dark expression back.

"We need to move fast, Sungyeol and Sungjong might be in danger now," Sunggyu command with a serious face and immediately grab everyone's attention.

"What do you mean by that Hyung?" All the person in that room said at the same time.

"Let's hear it while we're moving, we don't want to waste time right? Let's ...." Sunggyu had just started to move when he heard a faint "hyung!" coming from the entrance.

He halted for a while then listened attentively to the sound. He recognized it as Sungjong's. Just when he had felt the relief, he saw Sungjong coming through the door. Alone.

Sungjong appeared with a bruise on his cheek and obviously he was injured somewhere else on his body as he was kind or limping.

"Hyungs you have found all Teen Top's members? Good then! We have more power to help Sungyeol hyung, now come follow me, we have to hurry!" Sungjong said rapidly as he did a U turn back to the entrance, practically running to reach the place as soon as possible.

The other crowd behind him had no other choice but to follow him as they threw questions to Sungjong.

"What happened?"

"Why did you leave Sungyeol?"

"Why did you got so many bruises?"

"Why don't you just call us?"

“Aish that choding!”

 

Flashback to Sungyeol and Sungjong's direction:

"Hyung why do I think this way is only a trap?" Sungjong said while walking side by side with Sungyeol.

"Stop saying that Sungjong-ah, it's scary how your instincts are always right, don't you think? Just think about good things from now on okay?" Sungyeol said while winking to Sungjong, makes the later curl his hand at Sungyeol's rare greasiness.

"Hyung I think it's wrong for you to get closer to Woohyun hyung, look what happened to you now," the younger said in annoyance.

"Okay I hear that Sungjong-ah, now stop nagging at me, we might reach the end of this way in anytime," Sungyeol said while chuckling, oblivious to what's waiting in front of them, like Sungjong.

"But hyung, you just practically hear it and let it be, not reali...." Sungjong's continuous nag and walk was halted by Sungyeol who moved his arm in front of the younger, blocking his way.

"Jong-ah, look to the front," Sungyeol said.

"There's nothing hyung," Sungjong replied.

"Yeah but it's dark," Sungyeol said flatly.

"So?" Sungjong began to get curious by what Sungyeol's see, "Maybe he doesn't just have an owl face but also owl's eyes," he thought.

But the next thing Sungyeol said made him want to flip over his body or just everything that exists. "I'm scared Jong-ah, you know that," Sungyeol said, trying to actually see through the darkness in front of them.

"For God's sake Hyung, stop playing around can’t you?! I don't even know why L hyung can stand you, just talking with you less than an hour had already wasted my stock of anger for a month!" Sungjong nags (again) while dragging Sungyeol forward, and the older was just following suit with an amused expression on his face.

"It's because he loves me that's why if you want to know, besides, I just want to make you less nervous Jong-ah, isn't this nerve wracking?" Sungyeol said from Sungjong's behinf. When Sungjong suddenly stopped his walk, resulting in Sungyeol bumping into him, the latter almost made his first nag of the day before Sungjong muttered a quiet whimper "Hyung" which made the older look to the front, greeted by a man in suit showing a smirk on his face.

Sungyeol immediately moved infront of Sungjong, shielding him from the weird stare of the man and he asked, "Who are you?"

"Let's fight" is the only thing that man said before launching himself at Sungyeol, trying to punch him. Sungyeol fortunately was able to dodge it, but he didn't see the other hand coming and got a full blow on his stomach, making him take a few steps back while holding his stomach, and Sungjong behind him on the verge of crying.

"You are lucky that you managed to hit me," Sungyeol said while running fast and giving multiple punched to the man's face, making him drop to the floor, losing his power. Sungjong then approached Sungyeol to see if his hyung was okay but he suddenly got hit by another man, which he can dodge a few and managed to respond to it with the same strength but still, he wasn't born to fight so even when he managed to knock the man down, he himself was injured a lot.

"Hyung, inform the other hyungs with your phone about our situation now," Sungjong said leaning to the wall to keep him standing and closing his eyes trying to regain back his strength.

"No can do Sungjong-ah, I'm busy here and you know I never bother to charge my phone, it's dead now, how about yours?" Sungyeol said panting.

"I run out of money on my cellphone, can't make a call," Sungjong managed to gained a little stamina by resting for a while and he opened his eyes to Sungyeol's directions. That time he just realized that Sungyeol had another two opponents and was currently fighting with them, Sungjong trying to approach them to help Sungyeol but what come out from Sungyeol's mouth made him stop.

"Sungjong-ah, go to the other hyungs and ask them for help here, I think they are just going to increase in number, we obviously need more help here so you go search for them," Sungyeol said with a very different tone he never heard coming from a choding like him.

"But I can help you hyung, how can I leave you alone?" Sungjong almost cried in frustration.

"It'll not be for long, you already got beaten and soon I'll have my stamina drained, and both of us will get beaten to pulp here without anyone knowing, so you better go now, at least you're safe and come back here with a help, if you're fast enough I might still have my consciousness," Sungyeol said phrase by phrase as he was still taking care of the opponent in front of him.

"Okay hyung you promise me you'll still be standing when I get back right? Hold that word! Be careful hyung, I'm off now!" Sungjong then said while running.

"Thank God all this time I managed to come along with Hoya and Dongwoo hyung, at least I got more power, stamina, and tricks to beat the opponents," Sungyeol thought after knocking down those two men. Somehow there were another two men coming to him again. Sungyeol sighed, "This is going to be a long day," he muttered while he started beating these new opponents.

 

Back to where Sungjong and the others:

"Hyungs we are getting closer, get ready!" Sungjong informed his hyungs while his heart beating fast in worry about Sungyeol's current state.

When they reached the place, they were greeted by the awkwardly quiet situation there, no opponents, no knocked out bodies.

And no Sungyeol.

"Jong, where is he? Are you sure we didn't go the wrong direction?" Myungsoo said in panic.

"I'm 100% sure hyung, this is the place where I and Sungyeol-hyung came and fought!" Sungjong replied.

"But he is not here!" Myungsoo screamed at Sungjong.

"Calm down Myungsoo-yah, maybe he is still here resting," Sunggyu said patting his back when the others had gone inside to search through the room.

"Hey guys, come here," Niel said with a quivering voice.

They all gathered around him and Woohyun got the note Niel held just now. "Your sweet Sungyeol is now with me, I said you might lote some of your friends right? Hahaha it's all your fault who can't take care of your own member! But I think lost Sungyeol wouldn't make any difference right? If you wish to find him then he is just somewhere in this building with me, but if you don't, well you'll know what will happen right?"

Woohyun immediately crumpled the paper in anger and threw it on the floor, stepping on it multiple times until Sunggyu stopped him. He then cried in Sunggyu's embrace, saying he is not a good hyung, he can't protect his friend, and other muffled self-blaming words. The other Infinite members all had tears in their eyes, trying to calm themselves down and reassure eachother that Sungyeol is still okay and they need to find him. Some of Teen Top memberweare also crying because out of the Infinite members, Sungyeol is the closest person for them (especially for Niel, Sungyeol is already like a brother for him).

"Let's just go searching for him everyone, we don't want to lose him right, move fast!" Sunggyu said rather rushed, deep inside he was worried of Sungyeol too, he is like a little rebelling brother he never have, and thinking of losing him just made him want to pull his hair out in frustration.

"Teen Top members, please go home you all, we don't want you to got kidnapped once again, besides, you're all currently weak now because of the statues just then, go rest while we are saving Sungyeol," Sunggyu said which immediately received protests from that group's member.

"It's partly our fault too, let us help," Cap said representing his team.

"No it's not, it's our duty to save you all, we'll make sure to bring Sungyeol back so don't worry about us, just go," Woohyun as the vice president then said in place of Sunggyu who just nodded in agreement.

"Okay but make sure to inform us about Sungyeol hyung okay?" Niel said this time, then ushered his team members to get out of the building.

The Infinite's member then started scanning through that building once again. After searching for about another hour, L ( who had somehow gained dog's ability to sniff) managed to locate where Sungyeol was and gathered everyone to ambush the secret hiding place together. When they did that, surprisingly the people inside weren't surprised at all, the woman that seemed like the leader welcoming them by saying, "Well I don't know you're this hardworking just to find a useless person like him," she who is currently in shade stand from her place and pointing at a body which they all recognise as Sungyeol.

Sungyeol.

Lying there.

Unconscious.

The other members didn't know if he was still breathing or not.

SUNGYEOL!

"Yeol-ahhhhhh!!!!" Myungsoo almost launched to Sungyeol's side when he was halted by Sunggyu, who just pointed at the followers of that woman, each of them apparently holding a gun and ready to shoot anytime.

"Don't worry, he is still alive, I'm sure he will be awake in some minutes, in the meantime, let's have fun first," the woman revealing herself to be Nam Jihyun smirked and started to walk closer, pointing the gun at Dongwoo.

"Who should we started with? Maybe Sungyeol will wake up realizing that all his saviours died at my hand, and so does he, hahahaha," she let out a big, whole-hearted laugh.

"Don't be funny, no one is going to die tonight!" Sunggyu said while kicking Jihyun's hand, make the gun fly from her hand and land on the floor far away from thethe,

"How dare you?!" She said irritatedly and her team members started to move towards them also to help their leader with the guns in their hands but out of nowhere, Dongwoo and Hoya managed to snatch the guns away and throw it outside the window so they just fight using their bare strength.

This girl group surprisingly can fight well and managed to give some hard hits to some of the member, but men are still men, after a long fight they managed to beat all of them (with the help from Sungyeol who suddenly woke up then rose to help them fight) leaving the leader standing alone.

"Okay I give up, you all can go from here," Jihyun said and kneeling down, signing that she was tired and surrendering.

When they all make a turn and show their back, a smirk appear in Jihyun's face, "So you think I'm going to easily give up like that?" Jihyun said in her head while pulling another gun from her pocket. "One of you are going to die tonight," she thought while pointing the gun to a random person, who appear to be the leader himself, "Goodbye" was all she said before she pulled the trigger but Sungyeol who managed to hear the rustle while she took out the gun immediately jumps onto Sunggyu's back, resulting in him receiving the bullet piercing through his left shoulder.

He saw all the shocked face of s, the satisfied face from Jihyun, and the blood coming out from his body freely. Suddenly he gelt dizzy and the pain started to coming to his body.

"Sungyeol-ah!" was the only thing Sungyeol heard before he fainted due to the pain and the fatigue.

 

At the hospital:

“Be quiet!”

"When will he wake up?"

"Look the eyes are moving!"

"His fingers are flinching!"

"Why are you still here sing that, someone call the doctor then!"

"Dongwoo-yah you go."

"No, Hoya you can replace me right?"

"Just let the maknae go."

"I don't want to go again, I want to see Sungyeol hyung waking up!"

"Aishh you guys really..."

Sungyeol can hear all that voice and a door being closed after that. He slowly open his eyes, try to adjust the light that goes straight to his eyes, originally he wanted to cover it a bit by his hand but it was being hold tight by someone.

"Ergh guys.... Can you switch off the light for me?" Sungyeol grunted with his hoarse voice.

"You want to sleep again Sungyeol-ah? But you have just woken up!" The voice Sungyeol recognised as Dongwoo's start saying.

"Oh Sungyeol-ssi you had woke up, let me check your body condition then," a doctor suddenly came through the door towards Sungyeol's bed followed by a curious and worried-looking Sunggyu, making everyone bow in respect to him, and cutting the current conversation flowing just then.

"How is he doctor?" Sunggyu asked.

"He's good, his body's recovering fast, maybe he can go home in two days or maybe tomorrow, depends on his condition, but from my point of view, I think he can even go home tonight if it's alright," the doctor explained while smiling reassuringly, patting Sunggyu’s shoulder then bidding him goodbye while Sunggyu bowed in respect.

When Sunggyu got back to the room, he was welcomed by the laughing voice of Sungyeol and Sungjong's whining. He smiled while approaching them, putting his hand on L's shoulder who currently pouting because he got ignored.

"Sungyeol-ah, how are you doing?" Sunggyu asked, gaining the attention from Sungyeol.

"I'm fine hyung," Sungyeol said grinning at him.

The other members that catch the atmosphere, quietly made their way to the door, leaving the leader and the choding alone, except L who just stood there pouting and never catch the situation.

"L-ah, you promised to give me a treat for helping you back then right? Now is the time, come with me!" Woohyun came back trying to drag Myungsoo with him, he then whispered again while dragging L to the door, "It's okay Myungsoo-yah, I can assure you that nothing is going to happen while you leave so calm down and treat me okay?"

"You promise me right hyung?" Myungsoo asked with his sulking face.

"Aren't I the person that always holds my words?" Woohyun said playing with his eyebrows.

"Hyung you're the one that always breaks your own promise!" Myungsoo screamed chasing the grinning Woohyun who is running away from him.

 

Back to Sungyeol's room:

"What do you want to talk about hyung? It seemed important that the other members left," Sungyeol asked, confused.

"No Sungyeol-ah, I just want to thank you for saving my life, but I also want you to promise not to do that again next time. What is it blocking the bullet by your own body?! You could die yourself too," Sunggyu began his words.

"Hyung you know it's a reflex, how can I let our leader get harmed? Who'll lead us then?" Sungyeol replied grinning and patting Sunggyu's shoulder in assurance.

"You're also important to our team right Yeol-ah, think about that," Sunggyu was still trying to debate with Sungyeol.

"I know, but the feeling of protecting your brothers can't be shoved away you know hyung," Sungyeol grining again seeing his hyung got confused.

"Brothers? You mean Infinite?"

"No, it's me, you, and Sungjong. The Sungs brothers hahaha," Sungyeol laughed whole-heartedly.

"That's why you sent Sungjong away from that room?" Sunggyu asked, can't believe this choding in front of him can have a mature thought like that.

"Yeah it's one of the reason, and also because it seemed easy beating those men, they were weak!" Sungyeol brags about his power. Sunggyu just shaking his head, wanting to take back his words.

"Ah then what happened to the kidnappers?" Sungyeol asked remembering that.

“How come you still have the heart to worry about them Sungyeol-ah? I didn’t know that you’re this nice,” Sunggyu said.

“I don’t hyung, just curious,” the younger replied.

"Well, not long after you fell unconscious, the police came, they are getting the report from Teen Top, so the kidnappers got arrested," Sunggyu explained.

"Oh I have to thank them later then," Sungyeol makes a mental note on his head.

As the atmosphere in the room become awkwardly quiet because Sunggyu has nothing left to say, he let out a grunt and checking his cellphone.

"Where are the others? I'm sure I told them I just need 15 minutes," Sunggyu grumbled while seeing his watch, but Sungyeol managed to hear it.

"So it's not themselves who decided to leave us but it's you who shooed them away? Uwaahh hyung, just then I feel bad because I spent more time with Sungjong and neglected Myungsoo a bit, and you shooed them away before I have a word with him?" Sungyeol let out his head to Sunggyu who tried to call the other to come back to Sungyeol's room.

“You know Sungyeol-ah, I think you can even become the ear of the group due to your sharp hearing, you’re not supposed to hear my thought!”

“How could that be your thought if you’re saying it out loud?” Sungyeol argues sticking his tongue out. Sunggyu ignores his choding state because he is currently trying to make a call with other members.

Just about five minutes later, the rest of the member came barging in again with a loud voice coming from Woohyun and Dongwoo who apparantly had shared a joke because Dongwoo was laughing hard.

"Myung!" Sungyeol called while opening his arm for Myungsoo who entered the room absent-mindedly.

Myungsoo immediately lit up hearing Sungyeol calling him then come running to Sungyeol's bed, bumping to Woohyun, Dongwoo, Hoya, and Sungjong (everyone) in front of him, and shoving Sunggyu at last to make way to Sungyeol's side.

"Yeol-ah! Finally you didn't ignore me," Myungsoo sobbed in Sungyeol's embrace, the later just pat his back to calm him down while smiling.

"Wrong Myungsoo, the correct one is 'finally you woke up', right hyung?" Hoya said to Dongwoo, who nodded in agreement with a relieved face.

"Right hyung! You know you were almost unconscious for a week?! I don't know what's the cause of that but you sure rested a lo. You made us all worried!" Sungjong barge into the conversation with his rant.

"Jong, you really should consider rapping with Hoya and Dongwoo hyung, you sure have the talent!" Sungyeol said ignoring what Sungjong had said.

"Then what about you? You obviously more talented in that hyung!" Sungjong forgot about his nagging, instead he just continued to argue about this rapping thing.

"Okay so Infinite now just has two teams? The rapping and fighting team consist of Dongwoo hyung, Hoya, me, and you then the rest got into the brain and singing team? But you can't fight Jong," Sungyeol said while making a pose of thinking.

"I got ignored again," L said sadly to Sunggyu.

"I even got shoved away to the different team by Sungyeol," L continued.

Sunggyu felt a pity towards Myungsoo and wanted to help him so he tried to talk to them.

"Everyone," Sunggyu started but no one listen.

"Everyone!" He said again with a high tone, gaining everyone's attention for him.

“Yes hyung?” Sungyeol said.

"Ehem, since this topic had been dragged a lot like this let me make it straight to you, we're not changing the team okay? We know some of us can blend to the different team but you're all in a perfect team right now. Me and Woohyun clearly can think straight despite all situation. Dongwoo and Hoya have the best strength combined with stamina. Sungyeol and L are best in interogating people and gaining the most useful clue because of their errr... looks? Doesn't matter. Sungjong as our maknae is an easy-going person who can befriend with everyone in short time, included the enemy themselves. It's all perfect as it is right? So let's not change, just be the best in the thing we're most capable of and help the other team with that, understand?" Sunggyu ending his speech like that and stare at his team member one by one.

They all stay silent until Sungyeol clapped his hand like a seal.

"As expected my hyung! You're right, let's not change and be ourselves!" Sungyeol said and everyone nodded agreeing while laughing hard at Sunggyu who was dumbfounded.

Suddenly the door was opened, revealing a nurse who came to check Sungyeol's condition.

"You're already fine Sungyeol-ssi, you can discharged today if you like," she said while smiling then she left the room.

"Wah that sure is fast Sungyeol-ah, how come you just woke up this morning and immediately got discharged on the evening in the same day?" Dongwoo said amazed.

"Of course hyung, I'm a strong person you know," Sungyeol who seemed so cheerful after woke up continued to brag.

"Said someone who passed out by a side of girls," Hoya got into the conversation while smirking and high-fived with Dongwoo, making Sungyeol's face red in embarassement and tried to slap Hoya's hand but he quickly dodge away.

"I just got hit and wake up by their side, I didn't faint because of them!" Sungyeol defended himself.

"L, take care well of him, he might have interest in the girls too you know," Hoya continued to being mischiveous and teasing Sungyeol, while L pulling the later's sleeves, trying to get a reassurement from the older.

"It's not going to happen Myung, you know me," Sungyeol said while patting L's head, the later just stay quiet, letting his head b patted like a kitten.

After that conversation, the nurse come again to remove all the tues attached to Sungyeol. He then asked the nurse about the payment since he has to pay for it.

"Oh it has been finished Sungyeol-ssi, you can be immediately dicharged now," she replied warmly.

"What? But who did that?" Sungyeol exclaimed with L attached on his back.

"I did Sungyeol-ah, now stop screaming and let's go home," Sunggyu said.

"But why hyung? It's me who got hospitalized!" Sungyeol protested.

"You got here because of me right? It's nothing, I think I'll be forever indebted because you saved my life," Sunggyu said smiling warmly (like the nurse just then).

"Thanks hyung," Sungyeol said then hugging Sunggyu and a little bit leaning over him.

"Sungyeol-ah, I know I'm your hyung and you loves me, but please remember that right now you weight twice with L on your back, consider my power a bit," Sunggyu said while trying to balance himself.

Sungyeol then let go of Sunggyu, grinning and exclaimed to the other members who were still chatting happily. "Since I'm already healthy, let's celebrate it by eating! Sunggyu hyung's treat!" He said with high spirit.

"Why me?!" Sunggyu said shocked.

"You said you indebted for your whole life hyung. I don't need that long, just buy us a dinner and it's finished okay? I'm hungry~," Sungyeol said trying to do aegyo, making Sunggyu shocked even more.

"B-b-but I.." Sunggyu who still in shocked state didn't managed to finish his word when Sungyeol already exclaimed, "You agreed?! Yay! Let's go!"

"Yah!" Sunggyu screamed again but got ignored as the other had walk ahead of him.

"Kids this days," Sunggyu shaking his head, "Hey wait!" He exclaimed running to his dongsaengs then walk and laugh together, celebrating their comeback as a whole team.
