Couple: Hoya x Myungsoo

Prompt: Based on Ailee feat Simon D - Shut Up - In which the uke (Myungsoo) of the pairing is desperate to find someone to get his cocky and over obsessive ex-bf away from him. And accidentally meets the seme(Hoya) of the pairing. Surprise me!

Baby, please! I swear I’ll change, I promise! I mean how can you not want me? I’m gorgeous!”

Myungsoo scoffed at the pitiful sight on his doorstep as he raised an eyebrow. “Where’d you get that one? From the internet I suppose.”

No baby I swear it came from here,” He pointed to his heart and pouted. “My heart~”

Myungsoo chocked on his own spit as he tried not to hold back the vomit that was threatening to come out of his mouth because he really didn’t want to ruin Sungjong’s welcome mat.

Just go!” He commanded as he shut the door behind him and collapsed on the floor, his back meeting the doors wooden frame. He hugged his knees tight and bit his lips. “Why won’t he just leave me alone?”

Is he gone?” Sungjong asked as he poked his head out of the kitchen. “You need to get him out of your life, Myungsoo. I can’t keep watching you play Romeo and Juliet on my front door you know.”

Myungsoo groaned as he looked up and pouted. “Please don’t…”

Okay, okay I won’t,” Sungjong nodded, knowing that it was a touchy subject. Though he didn’t want to push Myungsoo because he was a good friend but Sungjong was getting tired of the nightly visits and the screaming matches that followed. He wanted sleep, sleep was holy. You do not disturb a man’s sleep, gay or not.

I think you need some help,” Sungjong suggested as he walked up to Myungsoo and crouched down in front of him. Myungsoo stared at him and frowned.

Who do you recommend then?”

Sungjong smirked, knowing all too well who to ask in times like this. “I know the perfect guy.”

What do fish do for fun anyway?” Myungsoo asked as he stared at the multitudes of fishes that were swimming around the aquarium with ease and grace that only a fish could do in water.

I don’t know,” Sungjong replied as he pointed to one fish. “But that one’s eating its own poo.”

Gentleman~! Welcome to Woohyun’s house of—oh, hey Sungjong.”

Sungjong smiled as he raised his hand in a small wave. “Sup, Sungyeol.”

What are you doing here anyway?” Sungyeol asked as Sungjong pointed to Myungsoo beside him and smiled.

He needs help from Woohyun,” Myungsoo smiled shyly as Sungyeol stared at him. Sungyeol subtly his lips but that didn’t go unnoticed by Myungsoo as he raised an eyebrow.

Not interested bud,” Myungsoo shot him down as Sungyeol placed his hand on his heart in mock hurt.

Well you weren’t my type anyway,” Sungyeol informed with a childish lit.

Can we see Woohyun now?” Sungjong asked as Sungyeol crossed his arms in front of him and pouted.

Yeah, whatever. Don’t really care.” Sungyeol informed as he marched away from the pair with an angry huff and stomping while simultaneously mumbling about how he’s too good for any man anyway.

Ignore him,” Sungjong said as he faced Myungsoo.

Don’t even remember his name,” Myungsoo informed as the two marched into the room with the double oaked doors.

Welcome all you lovely men of the earth,” Woohyun said with a flourish as he smiled at the two. “And hello to you too Sungjong.”

Yah!” Sungjong shouted as Myungsoo discreetly chuckled.

Now come in and I do mean come in,” Woohyun wriggled his eyebrows towards Myungsoo and Myungsoo felt a chill ran up his spine—and not the good kind. The kind of chill you get when you hear nails scratching on a blackboard.

Where the did you take me?” Myungsoo whispered to Sungjong as he glowered back at Myungsoo.

Shut up,” Sungjong scowled. “It isn’t fun for me either okay?”

Myungsoo nodded as he and Sungjong took a seat on one of Woohyun’s plush chairs. Myungsoo took the time to survey the whole room and almost cringed at the gaudiness of the design. The floors were carpeted with lush red velvet carpets, the curtains where animal printed, and the wall was painted with a black so black he was worried that it wasn’t actually paint on the wall.

So what can I help you with gentlemen?”

We need to get his clingy ex-boyfriend off of him,” Sungjong informed as he gave a small jab on Myungsoo’s chest. Myungsoo hissed in pain and glared at Sungjong, it wasn’t because he was wimpy that it hurt rather it was because he sharpened those nails like crazy.

Ah, the ex-boyfriend I remember that,” Woohyun mused as he looked up at the ceiling with a small smile. Myungsoo stared at him weirdly and leaned towards Sungjong.

What’s he looking at?”

His chandelier,” Sungjong informed as he pointed up making Myungsoo look up as well.

Oh wow,” Myungsoo nodded, impressed at the beautiful glass chandelier that hung on the ceiling. “That’s a really nice chandelier.”

I know right?” Woohyun agreed with a smile. “And if you play your cards right my friend, then you’ll be able to get one from your ex-boyfriend as well.”

Thanks…I think.”

Look we just need his clingy boyfriend off of him, we don’t need the chandelier.”

Everyone needs a chandelier!” Woohyun protested but Sungjong glared at him. Woohyun turned to Myungsoo for support but Myungsoo merely shook his head and smiled apologetically, though a chandelier would look amazing in his room his first priority was his ex-boyfriend to stop hounding him.

Che, you people have no taste,” Woohyun informed them as he clicked on a buzzer near at edge of his table, a shrill sound of a whistle echoed somewhere behind the doors.

HOYA GET IN HERE!” Woohyun shouted as sounds of heavy steps outside the door filtered into the room. Myungsoo and Sungjong turned around to see who Woohyun had called in and well…well Myungsoo almost stopped breathing.

Standing on the doorway was someone that Myungsoo could look at the whole day and he couldn’t help but curse at the fact that he was about to melt into a pile of goo just because of the person that entered into the room. That person (Hoya was it?) was perfect and his heart couldn’t help but agree with its excited thump-thump against his chest.

That was a good one, Woohyun,” Hoya commented as he smiled at Woohyun stiffly. “Now I know what it is like being married to you.”

Flattered,” Woohyun commented as he rolled his eyes. “But I’m taken. Now meet Sungjong and Myungsoo, they need your help.”

Hello,” Hoya greeted as Sungjong nodded.

H-Hi!” Myungsoo squeaked out and quickly covered his mouth, embarrassed. Sungjong turned to Myungsoo and stared at him weirdly.

I think that was the cutest squeak I’ve ever heard,” Woohyun commented as Myungsoo turned to him and glared. “Okay moving on. Myungsoo wants to get rid of his clingy ex-boyfriend, can you do it?”

Sure,” Howon shrugged, nodding. “Give me his name and address.”

Wait, wait!” Myungsoo stood up and stared at Woohyun worriedly. “When I say get rid of him I meant I want him to stop bothering me. Not you know, kill him!”

Why would you think I’d kill him?” Hoya asked, a bit of disappointment lacing his voice.

Well…well because,”

You have a muscular body and probably have enough strength to rip out his throat and oh my God did I mention your muscular body? Because yes, yes it’s a nice body.

Probably because you look like you could pass off as a professional wrestler,” Sungjong offered, staring at Hoya.

Well I’m not,” Hoya pouted, a bit offended. “I’m just good at talking to people.”

Sungjong stared at him blankly as Myungsoo tried not to think of what ‘talking’ meant in his Hoya’s vocabulary.

Okay, you’re not a professional wrestler,” Sungjong nodded. “Professional hit man then?”

Hoya rolled his eyes and turned to Myungsoo. Myungsoo stared back at him as he tried to keep the blush that was trying to take hold of his cheeks.

Don’t worry,” Hoya reassured as he reached out and placed a hand on Myungsoo’s shoulder. “I’ll take care of it.”

So did he take care of it?” Sungjong asked as he stared at Myungsoo who was trying to eat cereal using a fork. Sungjong stared at the dazed Myungsoo as he tried to eat forkfuls of nothing as the cereal kept falling back into bowl of milk. “Yah, yah. Myungsoo! Myungsoo!”

Huh? What?” Myungsoo stared around the room and looked at Sungjong who was raising an eyebrow, staring at him. “Did you say something Sungjong?”

Yes I did,” Sungjong nodded. “I was asking if Hoya took care of it but seeing as you’re trying to haul cereal into your mouth with a fork I think the better question is—is there someone on your mind?”

Myungsoo stared at Sungjong and bit his lip. Yeah he could lie to Sungjong but then again he would have to come up with a constructive lie and back-it up with more lies…and that was something Myungsoo couldn’t be bothered with. Plus Sungjong knew him the longest and knew that he’d see through the lie.

He pushed his bowl of cereal away from him and slumped on the desk. “Yeah, I think I like Hoya.”

Oh, this just got interesting~” Sungjong commented as he took a seat in front of Myungsoo, excitedly bouncing on the seat like a twelve year old. “So what are you going to do then?”

I don’t know!” Myungsoo shouted as he sighed and buried his head in between his hands. “I don’t really know…”

Such a lost and misguided child you are,” Sungjong commented as he stood up and reached into his pocket to get his phone. “Don’t worry, this is why I’m here.”

Myungsoo looked up and smiled at Sungjong thankfully. “Thank you Sungjong, really.”

Sungjong nodded and shrugged. “You’re welcome, peasant.”

Sungjong chuckled as he looked at his phone but then paused. He looked back at Myungsoo once again and raised an eyebrow. “I’m curious, did he really take care of it?”

Myungsoo bit his lip and pulled the bowl of cereal back and poked the floating cereal with his fork. “Well, I got a text from him saying that he’ll stop bothering me,”

Oh well that’s good—”

Whether he’s the one who sent the text or not is still debatable though,”

Sungjong chuckled as he stared at Myungsoo but it slowly started to die out when Myungsoo didn’t even so much as crack a smile.

Let’s just not ask questions okay?” Sungjong suggested as Myungsoo nodded.

Sungkyu!” Sungjong shouted as he neared Sungkyu. Sungkyu cursed under his breath as he kept on walking, almost to the point of running.

Don’t turn around, don’t turn around,” He muttered to himself as he tried to speed up his walking.

Yah! Come back here you little or I’ll tell Woohyun about that pimple on your back!”

Sungkyu stopped in his tracks and turned around with a stiff smile. “Oh Sungjong! What a wonderful coincidence!”

Sungjong smirked as he turned around and saw the lagging Myungsoo, huffing and puffing. Sungjong rolled his eyes and scoffed.

Exercise Myungsoo,” Sungjong suggested as he sniffed the air and grimaced. “And maybe some deodorant too.”

Myungsoo looked up and glared. “ you,”

Sungkyu gave Sungjong a small glare as he crossed his hands in front of him. Myungsoo stood beside Sungjong as a trail of sweat ran down his face.

What do you want Sungjong?” Sungkyu asks as Sungjong once again jabbed Myungsoo’s chest, earning a small hiss out of Myungsoo.

He needs a way to confess to Hoya.”

Hoya? As in Lee Howon?” Sungkyu asked incredulously as Sungjong nodded.

That’s the person.”

Well that’s easy,” Sungkyu says with a shrug. “Go up to him and ask him point blank. It can’t be that hard.”

Stupid!” Sungjong shouted as he smacked Sungkyu’s head earning a long drawn out ‘aish’ from Sungkyu. “That’s not romantic at all! Do you want me to recount the tale of what happened between you, a bottle of vodka, and Sungyeol?”

Sungkyu’s eyes widened as his face went pale. “I-I mean. There’s a really good way to do it, don’t you worry! And I’m going to help you!”

Myungsoo smiled gratefully. “Thank you Sungjong and Sungkyu was it?”

Yeah…it’s Sungkyu.” Sungkyu mumbled gloomily as Sungjong turned to Myungsoo with a confident smile.

Don’t worry Myungsoo. I’m sure Sungkyu will be able to help out.”

If only Myungsoo knew how wrong Sungjong was.

Myungsoo, Sungkyu and Sungjong crouched down near a bush as they parted it a half way to watch Hoya sitting on a bench on the park looking relaxed and calm. Sungkyu narrowed his eyes, Myungsoo smiled despite being nervous, and Sungjong tried to get the small critter that was being too friendly with him off of his leg.

Alright,” Sungkyu announced, earning the two boys attention. “That’s the prey.”

Prey?” Sungjong asked surprisingly as Sungkyu nodded.

That’s right Sungjong! To confess to someone is like being in a jungle.” Sungkyu nodded and turned his attention back to Hoya. “First tactic, you have to get him alone.”

Ok, but how do I do that?” Myungsoo asked as Sungkyu sighed, feeling like a father spoon feeding his child.

Invite him to lunch or something you idiot!”

Right.”

Myungsoo stood up and dusted the dirt off of his black jeans as he ran towards his prey…ahh…crush.

Are you sure this is going to work, Sungkyu?” Sungjong asked worriedly, not really sure if they should compare a confession to that of a mother nature.

Sungkyu gave him a thumbs up and a reassuring smile.

Of course, it’s practically fool proof!”

Myungsoo, despite his frenzied heart, walked towards him. Hoya, noticing Myungsoo, waved to him and his smile brightens when he sees that he waved at him.

His confidence grew with every step he took…

Until he saw Hoya pulling out his phone and answering the call.

He quickly turned to Myungsoo, gave him an apologetic smile and took off without even waiting for Myungsoo to stop say something.

Sungkyu face palmed behind the bushes and Sungjong sighed.

Tactic one: Get the prey…ahh…crush alone.

Status: Unsuccessful.

Right, the next tactic. Damsel in Distress!”

Sungkyu announced as Myungsoo and Sungjong stared at him with identical looks of confusion.

Damsel in Distress…?” Sungjong asked skeptically and Sungkyu nod’s confidently.

Yes! This will be the scenario. He will be walking with Sungmin, a friend of his, while someone attacks them. Myungsoo will come in and beat the guy and he’ll immediately see him as a hero. He’ll have to go out with him!”

That’s brilliant Sungkyu!” Myungsoo shouted as Sungkyu smiled with pride.

I don’t know…sounds a bit off to me.” Sungjong said with a frown as Myungsoo ignored him.

So Sungjong will be the assailant?” Myungsoo asked as Sungkyu scoffed and shook his head.

No, with Sungjong’s skinny frame he’d look like a beggar rather than an assailant.”

Sungjong counters with a scowl and Myungsoo nods, agreeing.

Then who’s going to be the assailant?” Myungsoo asked as Sungkyu smirks and pointed at one of the trees. They all turn and watch as a strange yet familiar man was hiding behind the trees. Sungjong eyes bugged out when the man pulled up his mask and waved at them.

DONGWOO?!”

That’s right Dongwoo!”

Sungjong turned to Sungkyu to question him but was stopped when the sound of Hoya’s voice and some footsteps reached their ears. Sungkyu quickly ordered them to go and hide behind a bush and they quickly scramble to hide behind a bush.

Sungkyu watched carefully as Hoya and Sungmin came out of the door, chatting away. Sungkyu gave a small nod to Dongwoo to signal him to get ready and he responded by giving a thumbs up, pulling the mask down over his face.

When they were near enough, Sungkyu signalled Dongwoo to come out and when a scream resonated in the small area, Sungkyu told Myungsoo to come out be a hero. Myungsoo, confident and with a proud smile plastered on his face, came out from behind the tree but stopped mid-way and looked on confusingly.

What the hell are you doing Myungsoo? Get—”

Sungkyu was cut off when Myungsoo pointed at the scene, making him gape in surprise before face palming.

Dongwoo was being severely beaten up by Sungmin as Hoya just stood to the side with a proud look in his eyes.

Myungsoo learned two things that day.

One. Dongwoo could imitate a girls scream quite amazingly.

And two, Sungmin, a good friend of Hoya, was a master of the Chinese martial arts.

Tactic two: Damsel in Distress.

Status: Unsuccessful and a bruised Dongwoo.

Alright, tactic one and two were no good. So the last thing we have left is the direct approach.”

Are you sure about this Sungkyu?”

Positive!”

Sungjong sighed, rubbing the back of his head as he waited for Sungkyu to explain the direct approach. They had to quickly finish this though because they needed to visit Dongwoo in the hospital and apologize.

Here’s what you do. Go up to him and ask him out. No, big deal.”

Yeah, I think Sungkyu’s right Myungsoo.”

That and they really needed to apologize to Dongwoo.

Alright then…” Myungsoo nodded with a bit of apprehension but nonetheless gathered up his courage and took a big breathe of air.

Sungjong released a sigh of relief as he watched Myungsoo walk into the doors to Woohyun’s office.

He was rather proud of Myungsoo and now he just really hoped that he wouldn’t get rejected.

Myungsoo stared at the fish tank outside of Woohyun’s “office” as he fiddled with his fingers nervously. He had already asked Woohyun to call Hoya and now, here he was—nervously waiting for him to come out. Though he had already planned out how to ask him out, he was still scared of the outcome.

When Hoya finally came out and sees Myungsoo, he nodded and walked towards him with a smile on his face.

So, Myungsoo. Did you need something?” Hoya asked as he narrowed his eyes dangerously. “Is he still bothering you?”

Myungsoo chuckled nervously and shook his head no. “No, no actually I forgot to thank you. Thanks by the way.” Hoya nodded as Myungsoo dropped his gaze to the floor and fought back the blush that was threatening to cover his whole face. “I actually came here to ask you something.”

Go on,” Hoya nodded as Myungsoo tore his gaze from the carpeted floor and took a deep breath in.

Well, I…ah…would you like to go out on a date with me?”

Silence. Complete an utter silence. A silence so suffocating that Myungsoo almost couldn’t breathe.

I’m sorry Myungsoo.”

Myungsoo flinched and looked at him in the eyes. No remorse whatsoever. Just like it was nothing at all. Myungsoo could hear the pieces of his heart slowly shattering into tiny pieces he tried to held back the tears and forced himself to smile.

Haha! We’ll that’s okay—”

I still have some work to do,” Hoya smiled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head. “But I am free on Saturday, how about then?”

Myungsoo blinks once.

Twice.

And released a good hearted laugh as he tried not to let the tears that had gathered in his eyes to spill.

Sure!” Myungsoo shouted, a big grin on his face. “Saturday it is! Do you want me to help you out or something? I’m really good at filing and stuff.”

Hoya looks up and smiles at the black haired man and nodded.

I’d love that.”

Tactic three: Direct approach.

Status: Pending.

End

AN: I hope you like it~! It’s my first time writing HoyaxMyungsoo (lol when I read it was Hosoo I was like, who? Hosoo? Haha) so I hope I didn’t majorly fail orzThough I do have something for you lol, there are three hidden Easter eggs (kind of too early for Easter but meh haha) in this story. I kind of used three song titles in some of the dialogs, can you spot them? Haha ^^ One’s from Rania, another one from K.Will, and the last is the song that you based your prompt off of Ailee ft. Simon D (which I’m falling in love with by the way, lol thanks for the song~!) Anyway, though it’s very late but what the heck, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year~!

StarlightSpirit: I found the Rania and K.Will titles but not the Ailee ft. Simon D Easter Egg! I really loved this, I loved idiot Sunggyu's stupid plans and Myungsoo being shy and Woohyun and his chandelier, because everyone needs a chandelier. I also feel sorry for poor Dongwoo T.T The end is adorable too :3
