Pairing: Dongsoo & Woogyu

Prompt: double wedding. Dongwoo and Sunggyu make drunk speeches at the wedding reception

It was a wondrous day for friends and family of both the couples. The day the four could finally be married – and would be. With one wedding right after the other, it was perfect. All that was left was the reception. Everyone gathered in large dining hall where elegant matters such as this were held. Only the best for you, my love: that was the ‘slogan’ of the wedding. Myungsoo made sure that the wedding and reception made Dongwoo smile for his smile was like Myungsoo’s sun. And how could one go a day without the sun? Cheesy as it sounds, that is how Myungsoo felt about Dongwoo. Sunggyu on the other hand, had no other choice but to go all out. Woohyun would not shut up about the perfect wedding for them and the only way to shut him up (besides a good make out session which is not the point here) was to promise him the best wedding. Sunggyu, as much as Woohyun was an annoyingly greasy cheeseball, loved him with his life. Because the key thing was that he was his annoyingly greasy cheeseball. That was all that mattered.

The reception started out wonderful as everyone chatted amongst one another about how the hall was decorated beautifully with the hanging twinkling lights and how the tables each had a beautiful bouquet of flowers on it. The best part was however, the open bar. All the drinking anyone wanted to do. And with drinks in their hands, Myungsoo and Sunggyu sat back while they watched their grooms as the two shared a dance together. Known to friends as 2Woo, the two had been best friends since they were babies; to share this night together was a dream come true.

“Remember when we thought we would grow up and get married?”

The question makes Dongwoo smile at the memory. There had been many days that the friends had gotten together to plan this wedding believing they would grow up to marry the other. But love is a funny thing. And here they were on their wedding night marrying ones they loved and it wasn’t each other.

“We found good boys, didn’t we?”

Woohyun nods in agreement and looks over at the head table where Sunggyu was chatting with Myungsoo. He couldn’t hear them over the music but Woohyun saw him laughing and couldn’t help but smile. This boy was officially his now.

“I think we need to celebrate… with drinks!”

Dongwoo and Woohyun headed to get drinks for themselves before heading back to the head table. The two couples sat and watched as everyone got drunk and danced their hearts out. As the night went on, the dancing turned into people bumping into each other as they were all too drunk to stand let alone dance. Two people who weren’t exempt from that category were Dongwoo and Sunggyu. And then Sunggyu decided he wanted to stand up and make a speech. He stood up and tried to get everyone’s attention nearly falling over in the process. Woohyun laugh at how horribly drunk his husband was and helped him stand up.

“I have some words I want to say,” Sunggyu said raising his glass up. “I even wrote what I wanted to say on a piece of paper.” When Sunggyu couldn’t find it he decided to wing it. Because drunk speeches always turn out great. “Oh well. Let’s see here. Thank you everyone for coming out to our wedding. Or for coming out to theirs. You’re here for both whether you want to though so thank you for supporting all of us. I remember first meeting Woohyun through Dongwoo who I was taking classes with. And let me just say wow, he was nothing like I ever saw before. And at first that wasn’t really a good thing. I avoided him like the black plague.”

Everyone chuckled hearing that, Woohyun included. He knew all too well how much Sunggyu wasn’t fond of him at first. It’s crazy to think they fell for each other.

“It’s true he did,” Woohyun confirmed and kissed Sunggyu’s cheek.

“Half the reason I avoided him was because I thought he was dating Dongwoo anyway so what did this annoying grease ball have to do with me? But then Dongwoo came up to me one day telling me he had a date with a guy named Myungsoo and he was nervous and whatnot so he agreed to go on a double date and set me up with Woohyun over here without telling me. Did I fall for him then? No. I still avoided him like the plague except even more now than before. I don’t want to go through our whole relationship here but there was one thing I wanted to make sure I said tonight. Sometimes, a good love story isn’t about love at first sight. It’s about the long journey you made together and the memories you made. So thank you Woohyun, for all the memories and I can’t wait to make more.”

Sunggyu raised up his glass and with that everyone cheered to the WooGyu couple. They shared a kiss and Woohyun helps Sunggyu sit back down without missing the seat. Woohyun scoots his chair closer to Suggyu’s so he can snuggle into his husband. While they snuggled into one another, Dongwoo took his turn in getting everyone’s attention with Myungsoo’s help.

“Now it may seem that I’m just copying Sunggyu but I had planned to give a speech too so here I go. Woo!”

Myungsoo burst out into laughter at his husband’s “woo” and cheered him on.

“I would just like to take credit for Sunggyu and Woohyun being together. I wasn’t even really that nervous on that first date. I just did that so Woohyun could be with Sunggyu. He really wouldn’t want me to say this but it really was love at first sight for Woohyun. The words he said to me were ‘heavenly hamster’ I believe.”

“Why are you saying this?!” Woohyun shouted as he attempted to hide himself in Sunggyu’s chest.

Everyone laughed at Woohyun’s words and Sunggyu found his husband’s actions adorable.

“I’m saying this because it’s the truth!” Dongwoo told Woohyun before continuing. “Now where was I? Ah. So it wasn’t a successful first date for them. But I eventually got Sunggyu to realize how much he really liked Woohyun and it was then I realized I was too focused on them. I was ignoring Myungsoo. I feel really bad for that. He was mad but didn’t really tell me. I had to figure it out myself. But I want to thank Myungsoo for being by my side no matter what and I promise to stay by his side the rest of our lives.”

“Yeah. Stop playing matchmaker and focus on your own relationship,” Myungsoo whined.

Dongwoo suddenly began laughing his thunderous laugh and Myungsoo smiled at the beautiful sound. He grabbed Dongwoo’s hand and pulled him down into his seat to kiss his cheek and to kiss it again because he loved Dongwoo so much. Everyone cheered to the couple that was too busy being adorable with one another to notice. Sunggyu couldn’t help but be jealous of Dongwoo’s speech. Sure, it wasn’t a competition to make the best speech. But Dongwoo was always better at giving speeches and being sincere; which was why Sunggyu had prepared a speech before hand. If only he hadn’t lost it.

The reception slowly came to a wrap-up after the speeches and everyone left one by one after saying goodbye to the couples. Woohyun noticed Sunggyu’s sour face and poked his cheeks.

“Smile, we’re married,” Woohyun said smiling very cheekily himself.

“Dongwoo’s speech was better than mine. How can he be so charismatic? I probably sounded like some drunk who rambled.”

Woohyun laughed to himself at Sunggyu’s words.

“Babe, you did sound like a drunk who rambled. But I loved your speech so much and everyone else did too. It’s not about how the speech starts. It’s about the journey of it.”

It took Sunggyu a moment to realize Woohyun was teasing him about his own speech. Before he could whine about it, Woohyun began to kiss him. Sunggyu forgot about the speeches and focused on kissing his love.

StarlightSpirit: This is just too cute! I like Dongsoo as a rare ship because Dong is so excitable and Myung is so dorky :3 Woogyu are always adorable. I loved Dongwoo's speech especially! Funny and fluffy. Eep, this was just too cute! :3
