I rubbed my eyes to get rid of the remnants of dreamland. On usual days, I'll be jolting awake from a nightmare or worse, screaming. Screaming for my mom and dad again. But not today. I woke up with a rather warm feeling in my chest.

Is this what it feels like to have a dream to look forward to in life? Kai had promised me that we'll find that dream together. I didn't notice I've been smiling alone in my bedroom. 

I walked straight to the kitchen to make some breakfast, still smiling. 

But that smile was wiped away mercilessly by the yellow post-it note on the fridge.

"I'm sorry, Haneul. I don't think I can stay and find that dream with you anymore. --Kai"

I tumbled backwards with a gasp. No, this can't be.

Regaining my strength, I ran to the living room, looking under the couch and behind curtains. I searched every corner of the house, but he was not around.

"Kai...this can't be..."
