Wah, things got so busy that it took so long for this TT_TT Please accept this heart as a sign of my apology~

Kris entered the dining room with an effort to act like everything's normal. It's glaringly obvious. He never smiles like that.

"Soooo," he began as he walked towards the counter and removed the lid from the pot as if he owned the kitchen, "Kai right?"

Kai nodded, no words. Kris had to tilt his head to the side to see if he actually responded.

"Nice to meet you," Kris spun around to offer his hand, but knocked the lid off the counter. It hit the floor with a loud and surprising clang.

And the last thing on Kai's face was that evident surprise, before he once again disappeared into thin air. Kris blinked several times, taking in that he had his hand extended to no one.

"What...just happened?" he asked me.

"You babo," I huffed as I picked up the metal lid from the floor, "you scared him! Don't make sudden noises when he's around!"

"What do you mean 'when he's around'? You intend to let him hang around again in the future?" he remarked.

"Of course! We already talked about this. He can't control his teleportation. Who knows he might be stuck at a highway right now. All because you're not careful in your actions" I told him.

"Why do you keep on siding with him? You just met him," Kris snorted, finding the pot empty, "and he ate all of the fried rice!"

"Aww, poor boy" I pouted as I checked the pot. It was empty indeed. Kris rolled his eyes at my reaction and I merely shrugged at him before walking away.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"Changing into my uniform, of course. I can still make it to afternoon classes" I replied.

"Nah, wear something else. We're going out instead" he ordered before plopping down onto the grey couch that he seems to be fond of.

"What?! No! For an angel, you are such a bad influence" I said, marching towards my bedroom.

I eyed the uniform in my cabinet for a few seconds. I like how my clothes look neatly pressed like that. The blouse looks so pristine that I can't help but feel proud that at least I'm good at something -- the laundry. I mentally facepalmed myself at the thought before closing the cabinet door.

"I told you to wear something else" came Kris's voice, making me jump slightly with surprise. How long had he been behind the cabinet door?

"Stop doing that!" I scolded.

"Doing what?" he asked.

"Surprising me. Everyone" I said as I walked out of the room to go to the bathroom.

"Why? 'Coz I make your heart beat too fast? Doesn't it always do that whenever I'm around?" he snickered, following my path.

I paused in front of the bathroom door and huffed.

"I am going to take a shower so please stop following me" I said in the calmest tone possible.

"And what if I don't want to?"

"So stubborn" I shook my head as I made my way into the bathroom. Kris continued following.

"What the...get out of here!" I yelled at his face.

"I'll be guarding you from the evil spiders that roam these walls" he declared dramatically.

"I can handle myself," I replied albeit laughing a little at his antics, "now go and stop annoying me."

"Only if you agree that we go out to eat. That vanishing Peter Pan ate all of the kimchi fried rice!" he groaned.

"Ooh, is giant Tinkerbell upset?" I pouted then laughed hysterically at his angry face.

"Alright, we'll go buy some food for Tinkerbell. I'm hungry myself. Now shoo!" I said, pushing him out the door. This time he obliged.

"I'll wait at the couch then. Maybe even sleep a little. Take your time and make yourself pretty ok?" he said as he walked away, then stopped to look back.

"But that would probably take you a million years. Just try not to look ugly. I don't want people to think that I'm dating an old hag."

"Eww. We're not going on a date, you egotistical winged demon" I cringed.

He shrugged. "Stop pretending that you don't like me."

That's it. I slammed the door at his face and proceeded to take my shower. And I could swear I heard him snicker outside.

Ugh, what have I done wrong in my past life?
