Then I suddenly thought of something.

“Shin, wait here for a moment.” I dashed to my bedroom, and searched for that piece of paper in the drawer next to the bed. I always keep it there since I received it for the first time.

I fold the paper neatly, put it in my jeans’ pocket and walked back to the dining room.

“What is it, Cho?” Shin turned her head.

I sit back on my chair and take the paper out of my pocket. I moved the paper towards her and asked, “Shin, remember this?”

“Ah… You still keep this thing?” She smiled, holding the ‘Min Jung’s Wishes Voucher’ that she gave me last year for my birthday. “Okay, Cho, so what’s your wish?”

I cleared my throat, feeling nervous.

I took a deep breath, and tell her my wish. “Shin, let’s live together.”

She rolled her eyes. “Cho, I’m being serious.”

“I’m serious.” I looked at her in the eyes. “Shin, your eomma’s house is far from the city, and you’re mostly living alone. How if something happened at the time when you’re not with me? Now that I’m already aware with your condition then why not? I mean, I can take care of you at the same time.”

“Cho, you know I can take care of myself…”

“Shin, I’m worried. I can’t let you live alone like this. Do you need me to talk to your eomma?”

“Kyuhyun-ssi…”

“Shin, it’s my wish. You said you’ll grant me anything, remember?”

I talked to her eomma through phone that day, and also meet her the next day.

She is worried and not agreeing at first, but I convinced her and after a long talk I finally get her permission to let Shin to live with me.

I know this is risky. Members are also opposing it at first, but nothing will change my decision. I just need to have Shin around me and make sure she will be okay.

“Cho, you know, there’s something that I am curious about.” Shin said.

I am sitting cross-legged on the floor while watching her unpacking her luggage. “What is it?”

“That Wishes Voucher… You are supposed to use it to make me do something for you. For your own goods. Why are you using it for me?” She glanced at me while folding some clothes before putting it in the closet.

“Well, in my perspective, I’m already using it for my own goods.” I replied.

She frowned. “How is that so?”

I crossed my arms, looking at her. “Because you are here, now I don’t need to keep worrying anymore whether if you’re feeling unwell, or having symptoms… I can fully concentrate on my work and I can also have a cup of tea every morning.”

“Hmmm.” She tilted her head, seems like thinking.

“Now Shin, let’s go to lunch together after you finished unpacking. I know a new restaurant around here that serves a lot of delicious foods~”

Days passed.

Shin and I have been living together for almost two weeks, and everything has been great. I could see her everyday, knows what is she doing – basically she is like being a part of my life now, and I am confused of the fact that I am happy of that.

“You have fallen for her, Cho Kyuhyun. You don’t need to deny it any longer.” I heard Changmin’s voice in my head.

Aish.

“Want some tea?” Shin asked as she carried a tray with a teapot and two empty cups on it.

“Sure.” I replied, lifting my face from the music papers that I have been busying with since this morning.

I glanced at her face. She looks a bit weak today, but she keeps on convincing me that she is alright so all I can do is just believing on what she said. But of course, I can’t help but checking on her every minutes to see if she needs help.

“Wow, Cho. Are you composing a song?” She takes a look at one of the papers.

“Mm-hmm. And it’s almost done.” I handed her the one of the papers to let her see my work.

I stood up and pat my shorts. “Anyway, Shin. Do you want to listen to the song? The lyrics are not completed yet, but I have finished writing all the melodies… I want to show it to you.”

Her face turned bright. “May I?”

I grabbed the music paper and walked towards the piano.

“Shin, sit here.” I gestured her to sit on the piano chair.

She sits right besides me. “Do I sit here? You sure I won’t distract you?”

“Nope. Just be careful not to fall in love with me.” I joked.

She rolled her eyes. “Okay, Cho Kyuhyun-ssi. You can start now~”

I pressed several random keys to practice, and after I took a deep breath, I glanced at her and I start playing the song.

SHIN MIN JUNG’S POV

I closed my eyes and listened to the song. The song has a feel that makes you think of spring. All I can think of is a place full of beautiful flowers booming, with the sunlight gently caressing skins…

“The song is daebak.” I praised him. “Have you thought of the title?”

He shook his head. “Not yet. I was thinking to named it ‘Thought Of You’.”

“’Thought Of You’?”

“Hmm, ‘Thought Of You’.” He repeated. “Shin, to be honest, I was thinking about you while writing this song.” He turned his head and look at me in the eyes.

I smiled. “Really?”

I don’t want the situation to turned awkward, so I asked him, “Anyway, Cho. There’s one thing I am curious about. Why do you call me ‘Shin’ instead of calling my name?”

Cho smirked playfully. “Well, there’s only one way if you don’t want to be called that way.”

“How?”

“Marry me.”

I guess time has stop striking because all I could hear is silence and both of us aren’t moving at all, eyes locked at each other. I don’t know how many minutes passed when I finally looked away and laughed awkwardly. “Cho, it’s not funny.”

“I am serious, you know.” He shrugged off.

I choose not to comment on what he said. “Well, Cho. Technically, you have to call me by my name too if I get married to Sungmin oppa...”

He looked slightly shocked. “Shin, tell me you are not serious.”

“Why? Anything could happen~”

“Just… not Sungmin. No, what I mean is, do you like him? Sungminnie?”

“Aniyo. What I am trying to say is, nothing is impossible. But I don’t wanna think about that now. Relationship.”

“Waeyo?”

I randomly pressed a key on the keyboard. “You know my condition. My health could just drop anytime. I don’t think I am in the right position and situation to think about relationship.”

We were silent for a moment, seem to drowned in our own thoughts.

“Shin…” He called. “Can I ask you something?”

I quietly nodded.

“If… I say if… If you had a chance, if your condition is different… if you’re completely free to express yourself, to do whatever you want to do, to feel whatever you want to feel… If you had a chance to choose, will you choose Sungmin?”

If…

I have had millions of “ifs” in my mind since two years ago. What if I am not sick. What if things were different. What if the condition is like this, what if the condition is like that. I have had too much “ifs” I demanded myself to stop thinking about it.

I took a deep breath, gathering my thoughts.

No, actually, I don’t even need to think about the answer.

I lifted my head to look at him. “No. I wouldn’t choose him even if I am in a different condition.” I finally replied.

Because I clearly know who would I choose if only things were different.
