SHIN MIN JUNG’S POV

It’s December 24th! Christmas Eve!

Cho called me this morning saying he couldn’t fetch eomma together with us since his manager doesn’t let him to.

“There’ll be a big crowd if fans and reporters spotted me there.” He said, and I’m so thankful of the fact that he’s a celebrity.

Eomma has arrived in Seoul at 10 in the morning, and it feels soooo good to see her again! She has left for several weeks already, and so many things happened during that time. I’m just so glad I can see her personally, face to face to talk about things.

Well, I missed her a lot.

“So where is Yoon Hee going tonight?” Eomma asked as she rummaged through her bag, finding something.

“Waeyo? You have left the country for so long and you’re now asking about Yoon Hee and not me?” I pouted.

Eomma smiled. “Ani~ if she didn’t has a date with Donghae, then let’s just have dinner together tonight, like what we always do.”

Eomma, Yoon Hee and I always spend Christmas Eve and Christmas together every year. Always.

Because Yoon Hee’s family is at Busan, and most of the time she couldn’t visit home during Christmas due to work, so we are always together.

Oh, Donghae is with us too, sometimes. But most of the times he didn’t, because of his Super Junior schedules.

“Hmm. I guess she is not going out with Donghae tonight. Should I call her?” I asked, while tidying up my bed.

“Yeah. Call her.” Eomma said.

I walked towards the table and grabbed my phone. I click on “Yoon Hee” name on the screen and press the call button.

And oh, did I mention that we are now living in a new house? It’s not as big as the previous one, but it’s quite comfy and is not really close to the centre of the city. Eomma called our housemaids to clean up the house without me knowing yesterday, and we are moving in today to a new, clean, and tidy house.

“Ne?” Yoon Hee answered the phone.

“Yoon Hee-“

“Oh, chamkkan.” She said. I hear footsteps and small noises of glass bottles before she starts talking again.

“What is it, Min Jung-ah?”

“Oh~ What are those noises I heard just now?”

“Ah, it’s nothing. My phone was in the bedroom when you called, and I was doing my nails in the living room so I have to move everything to the bedroom.” Yoon Hee explained.

“Yah! You’re doing your nails? Why don’t you do it here? I want to do my nails too~”

Well, I don’t know the right or exact word to say this, but Yoon Hee is a nail genius. She is really good at this I often tell her she should just opened a nail saloon instead of working in a company.

I do my nails in the saloon too, but doing it together with your best friend is always better, isn’t it?

“Hehe I’ll do it later for you. So why are you calling?”

“Ah~” I glanced over at eomma who’s already busy with her notes and ipad. “Let’s have dinner together tonight. You are not going out with Donghae, right?”

“Ani, he’s busy, as always. Alright then, see you at 6?”

“Arasseo. By the way, you can just come to my house so we’ll go together later. I’ll text you my new address.”

“Geurae.”

YOON HEE’S POV

It’s 11:53AM, and I decided to stay at Min Jung’s house tonight. I’ve packed 2 extra outfits in my other bag. I have never spent my Christmas Eve alone, and even without being told I already know that we’ll go back from the restaurant at this time.

“So what does the guy said when he asked you out?” I asked ahjummeoni as we went out of the car.

Earlier in the restaurant, ahjummeoni told us that there is a man who asked her out when she was in Indonesia. The man is in his sixties, and is one of the owners of the company that is related to our company.

She opened the small door connecting the garage and the house while answering, “I forgot. The point is, he talked so much I don’t even get what he is saying.” She laughed. “In the end, when I asked him why are we meeting outside the company he told me he likes me.”

I giggled, and while taking off my heels I asked again out of curiosity, “Then what do you say?”

Ahjummeoni smiled. “I’ll tell you girls the complete story later. Now how about cleaning our make-up first?”

“And change clothes into pajamas and have hot chocolate in front of the fireplace?” Min Jung continued.

“Aish.” I pouted. “Why do I feel like getting told ‘it’s time for bed~’ from a mom?”

I turned my head to see around the new house when something catches my eyes.

“Oh! What is that?!” I walked towards the packages of teddy bears and buckets of flowers that are put in the living room. “Aigo, the teddy bears… neomu kyeopta!”

“It wasn’t here earlier.” I heard ahjummeoni said.

“Who might be sending this?” Min Jung mumbled while squatting down beside me. “Ah. It’s from the Indonesian ahjussi that likes you, eomma.” Min Jung nodded several times and acting like as she has found the result of a very difficult experiment.

“Oh~~ That’s so sweeeet.” I turned my head towards ahjummeoni to see her reaction.

I see ahjummeoni is looking left and right, as if finding someone to explain this.

“Yeoboseyo?” I heard Min Jung said. I turn my head back.

“Ah~ I’ve just arrived at home. Waeyo?” I squat down while watching her talking to someone on the phone. “Where are you?”

“Oh. Ne~ I had a great time. Too bad we can’t go back to Busan this Christmas, I miss my big family…” She continued her conversation.

I nudged Min Jung while mouthed the word ‘nugu’.

Min Jung ignored me and sat down on the floor.

“Of course. You don’t like?”

“Ah~ I see… But how did you know I have a lot of family members?” She raised her left eyebrow-what she usually do when she is curious.

“Ah~” She repeated. “Yeah, I have twelve cousins, and some of them are still quite young so I also learned how to get along with them… But no one really knows that I have a lot of family members, though.”

Eh? They are even talking about family. It must be someone who’s really close to her. But who?

Dong Wook-ssi? Or Sungmin oppa?

“Tsk. Gift? What gi- Oh, it’s here.” I could see confusion and excitement on her expression. She starts opening one of the packages and smiled while the teddy bear. “So it’s from you, huh?”

“Ne~ It’s so cute.” She bites her lower lip. “I really appreciate it. Gomawoyo.”

I’m dying out of curiosity and almost nudged Min Jung one more time when ahjummeoni tapped my back and signaled me to go upstairs.

“I’ll go up first.” I told Min Jung.

Min Jung nodded twice. I stood up, adjust my skirt and walked behind eommoni, going upstairs.

CHO KYUHYUN’S POV

Shin, answer your phone… I wondered why it took that long for her to answer. Does she sets her phone to sile-

“Yeoboseyo?” She finally answered the call after the sixth ring.

“Yeoboseyo. Shin, are you at home now?” I walked towards the kitchen and grab a glass from the cupboard.

“Ah~ I’ve just arrived at home. Waeyo?”

“Ani…” She must have set her phone to silent and doesn’t notice that I called. I see.

“Where are you?” Shin asked.

“I’m at home too. How’s the dinner?” I fill up the glass with water and drink it a bit.

“Oh. Ne~ I had a great time. Too bad we can’t go back to Busan this Christmas, I miss my big family…” She replied.

“Do you like being with your big family? With lots of people, the noises, and everything?”

“Of course. You don’t like?”

“Well, I don’t have big family. My family members are not that many, so I don’t know.”

“Ah~ I see… But how did you know I have a lot of family members?”

Eomma, appa, nuna and other family members are still in the living room chatting, having snacks, and watching tv so I decided to stay in the kitchen.

“I’m just guessing by the way get along with new people so fast… And you have so many friends… I guess you must have a lot of experiences to get along to people that well.”

“Ah~” She repeated. “Yeah, I have twelve cousins, and some of them are still quite young so I also learned how to get along with them… But no one really knows that I have a lot of family members, though.”

I smirked. “I told you I’m smart, so you don’t need to be impressed. By the way, how’s the gift?”

“Tsk. Gift? What gi- Oh, it’s here.”

I smiled. I can imagine her expression right now…

“So it’s from you, huh?”

“Hmmm. Do you like it? I don’t really know what to buy so I asked Donghae hyung…” I said.

“Ne~ It’s so cute.” She was silent for some seconds. “I really appreciate it. Gomawoyo.”

“You’re so much welcome.”

“Hmm.”

“Anyway, since it’s already past 12AM… Merry Christmas, Min Jung-ssi.”

Somehow I could feel her smiling, I don’t know why. “Merry Christmas, Kyuhyun-ssi.”
