CHAPTER 63

 

 

Jongwoon arrives at Han’s manor to fetch Henry and Sulli. He went inside and saw his twins sitting on the sofa while Sulli is drawing and Henry is reading the thick book about Beethoven

 

“I’m here”

 

Jongwoon smile at them. Sulli and Henry run towards him and give their father a sweet kiss on his cheek

 

“Where’s Wookie?”

 

“She go somewhere with Aunt Minnie, Teukie Umma and Mama Cinderella”

 

“Shall we go now?”

 

Henry and Sulli nods happily

 

 

 

 

*ZOO*

 

 

Henry and Sulli hold their father’s hand tight as they walk around and watch the animals

 

“Ba ba, I’m already tired of walking. Please carry me”

 

Sulli told Jongwoon

 

“No problem baby”

 

Jongwoon carry her on his arms. Henry looks at them and frowns

 

“Why are you frowning Henry?”

 

“Ba ba, you’re so unfair?”

 

“Why?”

 

“Why are you carrying Sulli? I want you to carry me too”

 

Jongwoon smile at his son who keeps on frowning

 

“You’re jealous”

 

“Because you’re unfair”

 

“Henry, Sulli is a girl and you’re older than her, so you must give way”

 

Henry frowns even more

 

“I’m just older by 3 minutes”

 

“You’re still older than her”

 

Henry sits at the corner, still frowning

 

“Ba ba, Henry is throwing tantrums”

 

Jongwoon stand beside him

 

“Baby, please stand”

 

Henry shook his head

 

“I’m not going to stand unless you carry me too”

 

“Don’t throw tantrums here, please”

 

Henry ignores him and continue frowning

 

“You hold on to my hand and let’s continue to watch the animals, or you want to rest for awhile?”

 

Henry stares at him with puppy eyes

 

“Ba ba, please carry me too”

 

Jongwoon sigh

 

“I guess it’s really hard to take care of twins. Wookie is really patience for taking care such naughty kids”

 

Jongwoon smile at Sulli and Henry

 

“Arasso, you stand now and I’ll carry you”

 

Henry immediately stands and smiles brightly. Jongwoon carry him carefully on his arm

 

“You’re so heavy compare to your sister”

 

Henry smile

 

“Happy?”

 

He nods at his father

 

“Yes Ba ba”

 

“Both of you should hold on to me tight or else you’ll fall. Arasso?”

 

Henry and Sulli nod

 

 

 

 

 

After watching the animals in the zoo, Jongwoon drive at Beijing Asian Restaurant to eat their lunch. He watches Henry and Sulli eating happily

 

“Ba ba, let’s go at the park after we eat”

 

“Sure baby”

 

Henry looks at his father

 

“Ba ba, is there any chance that you and mama can be together again?”

 

“You don’t like Bummie to be your new dad?”

 

“We want, because he’s nice and he really love us especially mama. But of course it’s much better if you and mama will be together again, and you’re our real dad and we need to be a family”

 

“I envy some of my friends and classmates because they are living with their real daddy and they often ask me where is my dad”

 

“What is your answer when they ask you about me?”

 

Sulli smile and stand

 

“You listen to me ba ba”

 

“Yes baby”

 

Jongwoon smile brightly at his daughter

 

“I’m Han Sulli daughter of Han Li xu and Kim Jongwoon”

 

Sulli stop talking and look at Jongwoon

 

“That’s it?”

 

Sulli shook her head while blushing

 

“Not yet. I need to stop talking because my classmates are so amaze when they heard your name and mama’s name. I don’t know why. I’m just going to hear them whisper to each other, that I am the daughter of the billion dollar princess and the famous business tycoon and former superstar. They will all stare at me full of delight and of course I’m enjoying the limelight”

 

Jongwoon laugh softly

 

“Then they will ask me about you. I will tell them that you’re handsome and a very loving father and then I also told them that Henry and I always see you before we sleep at night”

 

Jongwoon stares at his daughter blankly; Sulli smile at him

 

“Because mama put your picture in our room so we can see you everyday, especially before we sleep”

 

“I see”

 

Sulli’s smile suddenly vanished

 

“Baby, what’s wrong?”

 

“Then they will ask me where are you, because they don’t see you fetching me in school and when they visit me at home. I told them that you’re in Korea working for us, that’s what mama always told us”

 

Sulli stares at Jongwoon sadly while tears start forming in her eyes. She goes back to her seat and continue eating

 

“In my case it’s very different. My classmates often ask me why mama needs to marry if I have a father”

 

“What’s your answer?”

 

“Wo Pinglu” (No comment)

 

Henry paused for a moment before continuing

 

“Why will I answer stupid question like that?”

 

Henry’s tears start falling from his eyes and he drop his head

 

“But I really don’t know the reason why mama needs to marry Uncle Appa”

 

Jongwoon look at them sadly and hold them closer on his arms

 

“Mianhae Henry and Sulli, but I try my best to win your mother’s heart again. It’s my fault that’s why she hates me so much. I’m really sorry, because of my stupidity you’re the one who are suffering. But we love you so much, always remember that”

 

“Please stay here ba ba”

 

“I’m really sorry Sulli. I love to stay with you, but I can’t and please understand it”

 

Jongwoon look at them and smile

 

“Stop crying now Henry and Sulli. I will be very sad if I see my adorable babies crying”

 

The twins wipe their tears and look at their father

 

“You’re going back on summer, right ba ba? We’re going to have vacation with you”

 

Jongwoon nods at them

 

“Yes baby. I promise”

 

“Ba ba, I’m going to have violin recital on Wednesday next week, please be there and watch me”

 

“I will”

 

Jongwoon smile at them

 

“No more crying ok”

 

Henry and Sulli smile brightly

 

“So you’re not giving your mom headache, right?”

 

The twins nod happily

 

“You are not making her cry?”

 

The twins nod again

 

“That’s good, you need to follow her all the time and of course your new daddy”

 

“Ba ba, are you not going to be our dad anymore?”

 

“Of course I’m still your father even though your mom marries Kibum”

 

“We don’t make mama cry, we always listen to her”

 

“That’s right, you need to be good always and don’t make it hard for her, so she won’t get mad at both you”

 

Henry stares at Jongwoon’s face closely

 

“Yes baby?”

 

“Mama often cries”

 

Jongwoon stare at him curiously

 

“I thought you’re not making her cry?”

 

“Yes”

 

“Then why is she crying often?”

 

Henry pouts

 

“I don’t know either. I just often see her crying every night. Maybe mama is afraid of ghost like Sulli”

 

“You’re right she’s really afraid of ghost”

 

“I see, maybe that’s the reason why she can’t sleep at night”

 

Jongwoon raise his eyebrow

 

“Whenever I see her crying she always told me that she can’t sleep, because she misses someone who always sleep with her at night, and the one who always sing her a lullaby to put her to sleep. She won’t tell me who is that someone. Maybe it’s Aunt Minnie, she just want to keep it a secret because she’s shy”

 

Jongwoon just smile at him and ruffles his hair

 

“You’re so talkative like Umma”

 

Jongwoon sigh and look at his kids who are smiling at him

 

“OMO, my kids are like their grandparents. My son is really talkative like Umma and my daughter is so vain like mama, so weird”

 

Jongwoon smile at them

 

“Shall we go at the park now? Because your Uncle Appa will fetch you there at 5:30PM”

 

Henry and Sulli nod happily

Jongwoon watch his kids play around happily

 

“Ba ba, Henry is teasing me again. He’s calling me Barney. I’m not a dinosaur, right?”

 

Sulli sits on his lap

 

“Henry, please stop teasing your sister”

 

Henry smile

 

“Sulli is cute when she cries”

 

“But it doesn’t mean that you need to make her cry all the time”

 

“But I’m just kidding. She’s such a crybaby and so sensitive”

 

“Henry”

 

Henry sits beside Jongwoon and hugs his sister

 

“Mianhae Sulli, please don’t cry”

 

Sulli smile at her brother; Jongwoon hug them tightly

 

“Don’t fight with each other. Arasso”

 

“Yes ba ba”

 

Henry and Sulli answer in unison. Kibum arrives at the park to fetch the twins

 

“Uncle Appa is here to fetch you”

 

Jongwoon told them. They give him a warm hug

 

“I’ll be back in Wednesday to watch Henry’s recital, then on your summer vacation”

 

The twins nod

 

“Please be good and always listen to your mom”

 

Jongwoon hug them while controlling his tears from falling. He kissed their forehead before they go inside the car

 

“What time is your flight later?”

 

“Ten thirty in the evening”

 

Jongwoon smile at Kibum

 

“Please take care of my twins”

 

Kibum nod

 

“Yes Hyung. Wookie and I already talk about it, you can get the twins every summer so they can spend their vacation with you”

 

“Thank you and best wishes on your wedding”

 

“Thanks Hyung, we’re going now”

 

Kibum was about to enter the car, but Jongwoon stops him

 

“Yes Hyung?”

 

“I forget something. Please take care of Wookie ok. Don’t forget that she needs to sleep early at night and you need to go home early no matter how busy you are, so she can sleep peacefully. You need to sing her a lullaby while her hair gently to put her to sleep. She’s afraid of the ghost and has a night blindness, so don’t turn off the lampshades until she falls asleep, and you need to hug her everytime she will sleep. She’s afraid of the thunder, so you need to close the curtains so she won’t see it”

 

Kibum smile and nod

Kibum carries Sulli to their room and lays her gently on bed while Henry’s bodyguard is the one who carry him and lays him gently beside Sulli

 

“They fall asleep, maybe they are tired”

 

Kibum smile at Ryeowook and hold her hand

 

“Baby, can we go outside? I need to talk to you”

 

“Ok”

 

Kibum and Ryeowook went at the garden. Kibum give her a back hug as they watch the sky happily

 

“Baby, look there’s a shooting star”

 

“Let’s make a wish”

 

Ryeowook close her eyes, Kibum watch her as she makes her wish. Ryeowook slowly open her eyes and smile at Kibum

 

“Did you make a wish baby or you just stare at me?”

 

Kibum smile and kissed her cheek

 

“Of course I make a wish; do you want to know what is it?”

 

“If you will tell me”

 

“You turn around and face me”

 

Ryeowook turn around to face him. She wraps her hands on his neck and smile

 

“What is it?”

 

Kibum smile at her brightly and kissed her forehead

 

“I wish that my baby will find her true happiness, and that is Jongwoon Hyung”

 

Ryeowook stares at him and hold his face

 

“Baby, what are you talking about?”

 

Kibum smile and hold her hands

 

“Wookie, please stop hurting yourself. I know that you still love Hyung. Everytime that I will look in your eyes, all I can see is your love for my brother”

 

“I love you Bummie, so please don’t say that”

 

“I know that baby, but you can never deny the fact that your love for Jongwoon Hyung is superior than your love for me. Stop fooling yourself and it hurts me whenever you hurt yourself like this, so please stop hurting yourself and follow your heart”

 

Ryeowook’s tears start falling from her eyes

 

“Why are you telling me this? I can’t understand you”

 

Kibum wipe her tears and hold her lips

 

“Wookie, please don’t cry. I’m not mad at you and I understand that you still love Hyung, that’s why I’m setting you free”

 

“Bummie, what are you talking about? I’m not playing with you”

 

Kibum cupped her face

 

“Your tears are always falling because of Hyung and he’s the only one who can make it stop from falling. I don’t want to be selfish towards you, to Hyung and to the twins. If I will not set you free and still pursue the wedding, I know that I will just hurt you. I don’t want to do that, and your true happiness is found in the presence of Jongwoon Hyung and not mine. I love you so much, that’s why I’m doing this. I want to see you happy always and you’re not going to be happy with me. You don’t have to marry me Wookie. I want you to follow your heart and forgive Hyung”

 

Kibum manage to smile

 

“It is really painful to let go of the girl I love the most, but it is much painful if I keep you knowing that you will never be happy with me. Your heart only belongs to someone, and that is Jongwoon Hyung”

 

Kibum hugs Ryeowook tight

 

“Please do the right thing Wookie, it is for your good and for Henry and Sulli’s good”

 

“Bummie”

 

“Wookie, you’re free now and I’m happy that you love Jongwoon Hyung. I will never regret that I let go of you, because I know that you’re going to be happy with him no matter how much he hurt you before. I know that you still love him and your heart only beats for him. Hyung loves you so much, he even begs in front of me. You need to give him another chance and prove to all of you that he is a great husband and father”

 

Kibum smile at her and wipe her tears

 

“Please stop crying. I will be sad if you will continue to cry”

 

Ryeowook smile and hug him

 

“Thank you so much Bummie”

 

“You take care of yourself ok. I already accept that you’re for Hyung and not for me”

 

Ryeowook looks at him

 

“How about you?”

 

“Don’t worry about me, I’m fine. You know that I am willing to give you everything and give up everything just to see you happy, so please don’t waste my effort”

 

Kibum laugh softly

 

“Just kidding, please be happy with Hyung. Arasso”

 

Ryeowook nods happily

 

“I will return in Sydney, my flight will be later eleven thirty in the evening to be exact”

 

Ryeowook pouts

 

“You didn’t even tell me”

 

“That’s why I’m telling it to you now”

 

Kibum smile brightly and hug her

 

“You know sweetie pie, I always dream that we will marry each other someday. But I guess, we are really meant to be best of friends, but its fine at least I still have you as my best friend”

 

Kibum looks at her and hold her face

 

“Hyung is really lucky to have you. If ever he makes you cry again, you can always count on me. We’re still best friends after all”

“I love you so much Wookie and it will never change until I found the right girl for me”

 

Ryeowook smile and pinch his nose

 

“I hope you can find her soon. I know that she will be very lucky to have you”

 

“I hope so, but I already found her”

Kibum nod

 

“Her name is Han Ryeowook, but I need to give her up because I love her so much. I’ve found her in Seoul and follow her in Beijing, but her heart only belongs to my dear Hyung, so we just end up being best friends for life and I’m happy about that. I hope when I fly back in Sydney, I can really found the girl who is really for me”

 

Kibum smile brightly

 

“No more crying sweetie pie”

“You need to go inside now. It’s cold, you might catch fever and Hyung will kill me for sure. You need to sleep now, so he won’t be mad at us”

 

Ryeowook give him a hug before going inside the house. Kibum went inside his car and grabs his phone and dials Jongwoon’s number

“Hyung, please don’t leave”

 

“Bummie?”

 

Kibum smile

 

“I’m giving up my love for Wookie just for you, and I want to see her happy again so please don’t leave”

 

“What do you mean?”

 

“If ever you hurt her again like that and leave her, I will really steal her away from you and will never return her to you. I’m giving you this chance to fill the empty space that you left behind, and to correct your mistakes, so please be responsible now. Arasso”

 

“You’re not kidding right?”

 

“Of course not, so what are you waiting for? I’m telling you, if you go back in Korea without your wife and kids you will regret it a million times”

Kibum laugh softly

 

“Don’t cry, because your voice cracks”

 

“Arasso, I’m just happy and so thankful”

 

“Hyung, please take care of Wookie and don’t make her cry again. She really loves you so much and please don’t make me regret that I give her up for you. Be the best dad for Henry and Sulli. I love your twins so much and I’m sure that they will be very happy, if you and Wookie will be together again”

 

“I will love and take care of them Bummie. Thank you and Saranghae”

 

“I’ll see you on your wedding day, arasso. Please chase Wookie and win her back, she’s waiting for you”

Kibum hang up and open the small box. He hold the family heirloom necklace; the twin necklace of the one that Ryeowook is wearing

 

“I guess this necklace is meant for other woman. I hope I can find the right girl for me. I love you Wookie and I know that your true happiness is Hyung”

 

Kibum stare at the necklace, tears start falling from his eyes. Tears that are only meant for Ryeowook
