CHAPTER 52

 

 

Jongwoon opens the door and stare at Teukie and Heechul who are smiling brightly at him. Jongwoon let them in

 

“Wookie is upstairs”

 

Jongwoon smile at them and went at the kitchen. Teukie and Heechul follow him

 

“Why are you wearing apron sweetheart?”

 

Teukie raised her eyebrow while staring at him

 

“I’m making watermelon smoothie for Wookie, you want some?”

 

“Since when did you learn to make a smoothie?”

 

“Wookie teach me last Monday mama”

 

Heechul smile while eating watermelon, Teukie stand beside her son and ruffles his hair

 

“That’s my boy”

 

“Umma, just go upstairs and don’t bother me here”

 

“Ok”

 

Teukie drag Heechul and went upstairs. Ryeowook was watching Phineas and Ferb happily while eating chocolate chip cookies. Teukie and Heechul sit beside her and smile

 

“Hi honey”

 

Heechul kissed her cheek, but Ryeowook ignores them as she keeps on watching while eating happily

 

“YAH! KIM RYEOWOOK!”

 

Ryeowook looks at Heechul

 

“Why are you ignoring us?”

 

“Mama, I’m watching”

 

“Aish!”

 

Heechul grabs the chocolate chip cookies, but Ryeowook grabs it away from her

 

“This is mine mama, you go downstairs and get one for you”

 

“Just give me one”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“I don’t want; these cookies are off limit because it’s only for me”

 

“Why are you so selfish? You’re not like that before”

 

Ryeowook just stare at her and stuck her tongue out. Teukie laugh at them

 

“Teukie, look at your daughter, she’s so selfish”

 

“Just let her eat Chullie”

 

Heechul pouts, Teukie smile and hold Ryeowook’s face forcing Ryeowook to look at her

 

“Umma don’t disturb me, I’m watching”

 

“I know, but you need to listen to us just for five minutes only”

 

“I don’t want”

 

Heechul grabs the remote control and turn off the TV

 

“Mama, Phineas and Ferb are going to build a rocket. Why did you turn it off?”

 

“You listen first”

 

Ryeowook pouts

 

“Baby, Chullie and I are worried about you. Jongwoon told us that you’re acting really weird this past few days and you’ve been absent in class for three consecutive days. Bummie told me that you’re sick, is that true?”

 

Ryeowook nods

 

“Did you already see a doctor?”

 

“Not yet”

 

“Jongwoon didn’t even care to bring you to the hospital and see a doctor? I’m going to cut his throat when he came here”

 

“Umma, he actually wants to bring me at the hospital, but I always refuse because I’m scared of hospitals. We’re always fighting because of that”

 

Heechul’s eyes widened while looking at her daughter

 

“Li xu you need to follow him. You need to see a doctor now”

 

“No way mama”

 

Heechul hold her face

 

“Li xu honey, I know you have hospital phobea, but please listen to us. Jongwoon is worried about you so please don’t be so selfish. We need to know what is happening to you, so we know what to do”

 

“Chullie is right baby”

 

Ryeowook sigh

 

“Ok. I’m going to see a doctor next week”

 

Heechul raised her eyebrow

 

“Why next week if you could do it now?”

 

“If you are not going to agree with me then I’m not going to see a doctor”

 

“Ok fine you win, just make sure that you’re going to see a doctor next week”

 

Ryeowook nods

 

“Mama, can I have the remote of the TV now?”

 

Heechul turn the TV on and give her the remote

 

“Xie xie”

 

Jongwoon came in carrying a glass of watermelon smoothie and give it to Ryeowook who is smiling brightly at him

 

“This is your smoothie. Aish! It’s really hard to make that thing you know”

 

Ryeowook start drinking it

 

“Are you going to work now?”

 

Jongwoon nod at his mother in law

 

“Yes mama and I need to meet ba ba in Busan later”

 

“Why?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“I don’t know, he just told me to meet him in Busan Townclub later”

 

Jongwoon look at Ryeowook who start eating again

 

“Babe, don’t eat too much you’ll grow like a hippo”

 

“YAH!!!”

 

Jongwoon smile at her

 

“Just kidding, you take care arasso, and don’t wait for me because I have meeting until 12:30AM”

 

Ryeowook frowns at him

 

“That’s unfair, you told me that you’re going home early today”

 

“I need to call for an emergency meeting. Kyu and I will be flying in Germany next week”

 

“I don’t want”

 

“What do you mean you don’t want? I need to, so you can’t do anything”

 

Ryeowook frown even more

 

“You can stay at the house for the meantime”

 

Teukie told her

 

“But I want to go with Jongwoon, Umma”

 

“You can’t go with him because he will be working in Germany”

 

“I’m not going to disturb him”

 

Teukie sigh and look at Heechul

 

“Honey, you can’t go with him because whether you like it or not, you’ll just end up disturbing him. Jongwoon will be very busy in Germany, he can’t look after you”

 

“But ma—“

 

Heechul hold her lips to stop her from talking

 

“Li xu, stop being noisy ok”

 

Ryeowook stare at Jongwoon sadly

 

“Babe, please under—“

 

“I hate you! You need to go now, right? So go away, I don’t want to see you”

 

“Wookie ple—“

 

“GET OUT!”

 

Ryeowook turn her eyes away from him. Heechul stand and kissed his forehead

 

“I’ll take care of her; you go now and take care”

 

Jongwoon look at his wife

 

“I’m leaving now babe”

 

Ryeowook ignores him. Jongwoon kissed their mothers’ cheek before leaving. Heechul look at her daughter and sigh

 

“Li xu, please don’t treat Jongwoon like that. You have to understand him”

 

Ryeowook pouts

 

“Let’s just visit Minnie and Key ok”

 

“Ok”

 

 

 

 

*CHO’S RESIDENCE*

 

 

Teukie and Heechul drag Ryeowook upstairs; Minnie was singing a lullaby while carrying Key on her arms

 

“Hi honey”

 

Sungmin smile upon seeing them

 

“Did we disturb you?”

 

“No mama”

 

Ryeowook sits on the bed and stare at Key

 

“Is Key already sleeping?”

 

“I guess he don’t want to sleep. I keep on trying to put him to sleep, but he don’t want”

 

“So cute”

 

Ryeowook smile while holding his little fingers

 

“Where is Kyu?”

 

“He’s currently in Beijing, auntie”

 

Teukie’s eyes widened while staring at her

 

“What? He left you and Key alone?”

 

“He needs to go there. I can’t do anything. Nai nai already told him that it’s fine if he can’t come at the meeting, but he keeps on insisting, so I let him go instead of throwing a fight with him”

 

Sungmin sigh

 

“He’ll be back on Saturday then leave again next week with Jongwoon. Does business tycoons are always busy like that?”

 

Teukie nods

 

“We are really busy always, and that will never change”

 

“There are times that I don’t want to understand Kyu anymore”

 

“We’re the same Unnie; I just fought with Jongwoon awhile ago because he will go home so late again later”

 

“Sweetheart, you can sleep here if you want since Kyu is not here”

 

“But I’m going to school tomorrow”

 

“Then I’ll ask our driver to drop you to school”

 

“I need to go home maybe I could just stay here next week”

 

“That’s fine with me”

 

Ryeowook start playing Key’s fingers

 

“I hope I’m already pregnant, maybe Jongwoon will have more time with me”

 

Ryeowook frowns, Teukie hold her face and smile

 

“Just try to understand my son, maybe he’ll have more time with you after his work in Germany”

 

“Teukie is right, so don’t be sad Li xu”

 

Ryeowook just nod and stare at them

 

“Can I ask something?”

 

“Of course baby”

 

“How do you know if you’re pregnant?”

 

Sungmin, Teukie and Heechul look at her

 

“OMO ,baby are you already pregnant?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“No Umma, I’m just asking”

 

Heechul clear before speaking

 

“YAH! Don’t ask if you’re not yet pregnant”

 

“Mama don’t be so cruel. Li xu needs to know that, so she will have knowledge about getting pregnant and she’ll know what to do when she’s already in that situation”

 

Ryeowook nods

 

“Ok we’re going to tell you”

 

Ryeowook grab a paper and pen; Heechul raised her eyebrow

 

“Do you really need to write it?”

 

“So I won’t forget”

 

“Fine”

 

Heechul pause for a moment, looking at her younger daughter before talking

 

“You’re going to experience morning sickness”

 

“Is there such thing as morning sickness? I only know morning glory”

 

Sungmin and Teukie laugh while looking at Heechul who is controlling her temper

 

“Li xu, if you don’t have question please don’t speak and if ever you have question please make sure that it’s not a stupid question ok? So shut your mouth and just listen”

 

Ryeowook nods

 

“Going back to the morning sickness…it occurs every morning wherein you became so lazy to get up every morning, you just want to lie on bed and sleep all day. You feel so dizzy and tired then you suddenly want to puke”

 

“Next please”

 

“Teukie what’s next?”

 

Teukie smile at Heechul and look at Ryeowook who is waiting for her to speak

 

“You start craving for something, that’s why pregnant women often became so choosy with their food that they are going to eat. You feel so dizzy, lazy and sleepy all the time. Your s will often ache and will become big because you’re lactating”

 

“There are times when you become moody, but you can’t understand why”

 

Sungmin added

 

“What else?”

 

“So far those are the signs of knowing if you’re pregnant, but to be 100% sure, you consult your doctor”

 

Ryeowook just nod at them

 

“Li xu, are you already experiencing those symptoms?”

 

“No”

 

Ryeowook lied

 

“Really”

 

“Yes mama”

 

Heechul sigh and look at Teukie sadly

 

“I think Li xu is really not pregnant, maybe she’s just really sick”

 

“Our conclusion is wrong again Chullie”

 

Teukie and Heechul sigh while staring at Ryeowook sadly

 

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook went home after eating dinner with Heechul and Teukie at Sungmin’s house. Teukie was the one who drop her at the condominium because Heechul will be staying at Sungmin’s house to watch over her and Key. Ryeowook take a warm bath and wear her nightgown and went at her dressing room and stand in front of the mirror while holding her tummy

 

“OMO, I think I’m pregnant. First I always have morning sickness, I crave for watermelon smoothie and chocolate chip cookies then I always feel sick and dizzy. I puke all the time and notice that my s are bigger than before and it often aches”

 

Ryeowook stare at the mirror

 

“I think I need to see my doctor soon, before I told them. Just to be sure, so I won’t disappoint them again”

 

Ryeowook smile

 

“I really hope that I’m pregnant…please”

 

Ryeowook was holding her tummy when Jongwoon went inside her dressing room

 

“There you are babe”

 

Ryeowook ignores him, Jongwoon stand beside her and hold her hand

 

“Wookie”

 

Ryeowook stare at him

 

“Why are you still awake and what are you doing here?”

 

“I’m looking at the mirror because I’m so concern about my figure, do you think I already grow like a hippo?”

 

Jongwoon smile and flick her forehead

 

“Babe don’t be serious, I’m just kidding awhile ago”

 

Ryeowook move closer to him and hold his hands

 

“Hubby, what are you going to do if I’m already pregnant?”

 

Jongwoon stare at her with wide eyes

 

“Are you already pregnant?”

 

“No, I’m just asking”

 

“Then you ask me again if you’re already pregnant. Let’s go to sleep now, you still have class later. I told you not to wait for me, you’re such a hard headed wife”

 

Jongwoon left the dressing room

 

“I know that I’m already pregnant, but I can’t tell you hubby. I need to be sure first, so you’re not going to be disappointed again”

 

Ryeowook sigh and stare at the mirror for the meantime before going out of her dressing room
