CHAPTER 33

 

 

“Tada! This is for you”

 

Ryeowook smile while handling Kibum lots of paper bags

 

“Thanks, this is too much”

 

“It’s ok”

 

Kibum smile

 

“How’s Beijing?”

 

“Fine. I miss that place so much; you need to come with me the next time I visit there so you’ll meet Nainai. She wants to see you”

 

Kibum nod

 

“Sure, how’s Hyung? I’ve heard from Umma that he will succeed the Shanghai Corporation, that’s really a daebak. That corporation is really big and I really hope Hyung can manage it properly…I know he can do it”

 

Ryeowook sits on top of Kibum’s table

 

“Yes and he will start schooling at Seoul Business School next week”

 

“That’s great; I never knew that Hyung can change like that because of you”

 

“That’s the magic of love”

 

Ryeowook giggles happily

 

“By the way we’re going at Choi Record Studio after class”

 

“I almost forgot that, we need to record our composition for our music technology class. It’s the first day of class, but there are a lot of things to do already”

 

Ryeowook sigh

 

“So it will be final, we’re mixing jazz music with pop music?”

 

“Can we just try jazz music with atonal music?”

 

Kibum raise his eyebrow

 

“Wookie, atonal music sounds so weird and it will break my eardrums”

 

“You’re right, but let’s try; it might sound good, we will not lose anything if we try”

 

Kibum nod

 

“Ok, so we will compose music during our vacant time, so we can try it out later at the record studio”

 

“Ok, did you bring our composition of jazz music with pop music?”

 

“Yes, you arrange it later. We need to insert a guitar solo and vocal; maybe you can sing”

 

“Sure, no problem Bummie”

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook and Kibum went at the Choi Record Studio owned by the father of Choi Minho, one of Kibum’s childhood friends

 

“Hi Minho, what are you doing here?”

 

“I just check if all the instruments and things that you will be needing in your recording is already set”

 

“Thanks a lot”

 

“No problem”

 

Minho looks at Ryeowook who is holding Kibum’s hand

 

“Is she your sister in law?”

 

Kibum nods happily

 

“Wookie, this is Minho my childhood friend and the son of the owner of this record studio”

 

“It’s nice to meet you Minho”

 

Minho smiles at her and shakes her hand

 

“I’m Han Ryeowook, wife of Kim Jongwoon and Bummie’s sister in law”

 

“You’re so beautiful in person rather than in Magazines”

 

“Huh?”

 

Ryeowook stares at him blankly

 

“I’ve read articles about you before, you win a gold medal in the piano competition and you also won the first prize in NAMCYA Category C for piano solo. Your concerts with Bummie and the famous Andrea Bocelli under the baton of Jae Joon Lee, and you’re engagement and marriage with Kim Jongwoon”

 

“I see”

 

“I’m such a stalker”

 

Minho smiles brightly; Kibum excuse theirselves and they enter the studio to start recording their composition.

 

 

 

After working on their project they went at Seoul Music Library to make some research about the modern music and to buy some pieces that they will be using for their performance in music criticism class

 

“This is a very tiring day Bummie”

 

“You’re right, school days are very tiring and I want to have a vacation now”

 

Kibum sigh, Ryeowook was busy getting something inside her bag when Kibum’s eyes widened. He spotted his brother with Jessica going out of the Marine Bay Restaurant; he immediately holds Ryeowook’s wrist.

 

“Wookie, we need to go. I’m hungry”

 

Kibum drags her nervously, blocking her view so she won’t see Jongwoon and Jessica. Ryeowook stares at Kibum.

 

“What’s wrong with you?”

 

“Nothing, I’m just hungry”

 

Kibum try his best to hide his brother from Ryeowook’s view, but she spotted Jongwoon’s car parked outside the restaurant

 

“Hey, that’s my husband’s car”

 

Kibum holde her arm before she can go near the car. Ryeowook’s tears start forming in her eyes when she saw Jongwoon and Jessica together. She immediately went inside Kibum’s car.  Kibum follow her inside

 

“I’m sorry Wookie, I try to block your view but you saw him”

 

Ryeowook start crying

 

“Why? He’s with her again and I can’t understand why”

 

“Let’s just eat arasso”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“Let’s just stay here for the meantime. Just let me cry, Bummie it hurts”

 

Kibum hug her; Ryeowook bury her face on his chest

 

“Why?”

 

“Shhh”

 

“Bummie it hurts me…it hurts me so badly, but why?”

 

Kibum kiss her forehead and her hair gently, comforting her.

 

 

 

 

*CONDOMINIUM*

 

 

Jessica grabs the picture of Ryeowook and throws it on the floor. Jongwoon stare on her seriously

 

“She’s the reason why you change. You don’t love me anymore because of that stupid brat girl!”
 

“Don’t call her like that! She’s my wife Jessica”

 

Jessica hugs him while crying hard

 

“Jongwoon I’m begging you, don’t do this to me”

 

“This will be the last time that I’m going out with you and see you; you can leave now, my driver is already waiting at the lobby to drop you home”

 

Jongwoon went upstairs but Jessica run towards him and hug him tight

 

“I love my wife”

 

“No you don’t love her, this is just a joke”

 

Jongwoon hold her face as they stand on the stairs

 

“I love Wookie and that is true. I’m sorry, but we’re over and you need to accept it”

 

“No”

 

Jessica holds his face and kissed him

 

 

 

 

Kibum dropped Ryeowook at the condominium. She just smiles at Kibum weakly. She feels so tired and dizzy.She holds her head as she enters the elevator. Her world is spinning and she wants to collapse. She went inside and was shocked to see Jessica kissing Jongwoon.

 

“YOU’RE SUCH A !”

 

Jongwoon’s eyes widened while staring at Ryeowook whose eyes are swelling because of crying

 

“You’re the here and not me”

 

Jessica smirk

 

“Shut up”

 

“Jongwoon is mine half Chinese and Korean girl”

 

Ryeowook walks towards her and slap her face hard. Jongwoon grabs her arm and hold it tight, but Ryeowook push his hand away

 

“! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE”

 

Ryeowook told her, Jessica look at her and pulls her silky long brown hair and push her causing her to fall two steps on the floor; Ryeowook holds her tummy, she feels a sudden pain. Jessica looks at her before leaving. Jongwoon lift her up and drag her to their room; Ryeowook slaps him

 

“I hate you”

 

“Wookie, stop acting like a !”

 

“Jessica is the and not me!”

 

“Shut up!”

 

Ryeowook grabs her luggage and start packing her clothes

 

“I’m leaving this house, I hate you!”

 

“Go ahead, I don’t care. Don’t show your face to me anymore”

 

Ryeowook’s tears keep on falling from her eyes. She holds her tummy again, the pain is getting worse. She grabs her car key and left Jongwoon. She gets inside her car after loading her luggage at the trunk and rests her head on the steering wheel while holding her tummy

 

“Why is it aching so badly? Maybe I’m having my period after two weeks of being delayed”

 

She starts her car and starts driving while holding her tummy

 

 

 

 

*HAN’S RESIDENCE*

 

 

Ryeowook arrives at their house, still crying. Heechul and Hankyung run towards her, they stare at their daughter blankly. Ryeowook hugs her mother tight

 

“Mama, ba ba I run away from home”

 

“Why?”

 

“I hate Jongwoon”

 

“You fight with him?”

 

Ryeowook nods, Heechul hug her tight. Ryeowook’s tummy keeps on aching badly and she can’t take it anymore. She feels so weak and collapse on the floor while holding her tummy

 

“Honey, what’s wrong?”

 

Hankyung hold her tight, Ryeowook reach for Heechul’s hand and hold it tight, pressing her palm hard

 

“Mama, my tummy is aching so badly”

 

“What?”

 

“Mama!!!”

 

Heechul looks at her nervously, she starts to panic when blood start coming out from her

 

“Hannie, we need to bring her to the hospital now”

 

“Honey, are you pregnant?”

 

Ryeowook look at them blankly as she falls on Hankyung’s arms unconsciously

 

 

 

 

*HOSPITAL*

 

 

“Hannie, I’m worried about our daughter”

 

“Please be strong Chullie honey”

 

Hankyung hugs Heechul who starts to cry. Jongwoon arrives and stare at them blankly. He avoids Hankyung’s eyes because he is staring at him seriously

 

“Mama, where is Wookie?”

 

Heechul hugs him

 

“She’s still inside the Emergency Room”

 

“What happen?”

 

Heechul shook her head

 

“I don’t know, she just went home crying and she suddenly falls on the floor holding her tummy telling me that it’s painful then…then blood came out”

 

Jongwoon stare at his trembling mother in law. The doctor came out of the emergency room

 

“How’s my Li xu?”

 

Heechul asked her nervously. Jia looks at them sadly

 

“Did Li xu fall?”

 

Jia asked Jongwoon who just stares at her. She took a deep breath and hold Jongwoon and Heechul’s hand.

 

“I hate to say this, I’m really sorry but... Li xu lost the baby”

 

Heechul’s knees start to shake while her tears keep on falling from her eyes, Hankyung hold her tight so she won’t fall on the floor. Jongwoon look at Jia

 

“My wife is pregnant?”

 

“One month, but we lost the baby. I told you before that her uterus is very weak and there’s a great risk of miscarriage if she won’t be careful on herself. Base on the result Li xu had a miscarriage because she falls”

 

Jongwoon sits on the chair. He can’t believe what he just heard and he felt guilty because he didn’t protect Ryeowook and he’s the reason why she had a miscarriage. Jongwoon’s tears slowly fall down as he blames his self. Heechul hold his hands and pull him towards Ryeowook’s room, but he chooses to be alone outside. He’s not yet ready to see her. Hankyung drags Heechul, leaving Jongwoon sitting outside, still blaming his self.

 

 

 

 

Heechul came out of the room, feeling weak and still crying. She hugs Jongwoon

 

“She’s looking for you”

 

Jongwoon look at her

 

“Go inside now, Li xu needs you”

 

Jongwoon nods and walks inside the room. He saw his wife sitting on the bed while crying

 

“Babe”

 

Ryeowook look at him. Jongwoon sit besides her and hug her tight

 

“Mianhae, I didn’t know that I’m pregnant. Mianhae Jongwoon because I lose our baby”

 

“Babe it’s not your fault. I’m so sorry because I didn’t protect you, that’s why we lose the baby, I’m sorry”

 

Jongwoon’s tears keeps on falling from his eyes while hugging her tight

 

“He’s already inside me, but I let him go because I didn’t take care of myself that’s why he died. I’m such a bad mother because I didn’t care about him that’s why he died”

 

Jongwoon hold her face

 

“Babe, please don’t blame yourself, nobody wants this to happen”

 

“Jongwoon it seems that half of my body have been taken away from me. I let every moment slipped into my hands, he’s suppose to grow in my womb and live a happy life with us, but I fail to give him that chance”

 

Ryeowook hold her tummy

 

“He’s supposed to be here, inside me, but he’s gone…forever”

 

“I’m still here babe, we still have each other. I know how painful it is for you, but it is also painful for me seeing you like that, and it will be much painful seeing you losing hope. Babe, life will continue no matter what happen. We need to live our life to the fullest each and everyday, so please don’t stop living your life happily. It doesn’t end here, we need to move forward”

 

“I’m sorry hubby, I’m really sorry”

 

Jongwoon wipe her tears

 

“It’s not your fault babe, please don’t apologize. There’s no such thing as accident, everything happens for a reason. Our baby will be our angel that will guide us. Don’t be sad and I know that he’s happy wherever he is and he don’t want to see her mama sad”

 

“Please don’t leave me because of this. I need you in my life”

 

Jongwoon brush his nose from hers

 

“Of course I’m not going to leave you. I am here for you and will be by your side, we’re going to be together forever”

 

Jongwoon kiss her lips

 

“Don’t be afraid babe, I’m here and we still have lots of chance to have a child. Don’t feel upset and I don’t want to lose you babe, you’re my everything and you make my life worth living”

 

Ryeowook laid her head on his chest

 

“You need to take a rest now. The doctor told me we need to stay here for three days”

 

“You just stay here by my side, please don’t go anywhere”

 

“Yes babe, I will never leave your side”

 

Jongwoon kissed her forehead

 

“I love you”

 

Ryeowook close her eyes. Jongwoon hold her close to him and watch over her.
