CHAPTER 22

 

 

It was the start of summer vacation; Jongwoon went out of the bathroom happily, he walks towards the bed and pull the blanket that was wrap on Ryeowook’s body. He stares at his wife who is sleeping like a cocoon while holding her tummy

 

“Babe, it’s time to wake up now”

 

Jongwoon kiss her lips, Ryeowook slowly open her eyes and look at her husband, smiling at her

 

“We need to pack our things for our vacation with our family”

 

Ryeowook look at him, then pull the blanket and wrap it around her

 

“Hey, you need to wake up now or else we’re going to be late. They are waiting for us”

 

Jongwoon pouts

 

“Five minutes more”

 

“Babe, wake up now please”

 

Jongwoon notice her touching her tummy and looks so pale

 

“Are you sick?”

 

He touches her forehead to check if she’s hot

 

“That’s weird you’re not hot, do you want me to call a doctor?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“Just give me five minutes, and then I’ll take a bath”

 

“Are you ok?”

 

“Not feeling well”

 

“What’s wrong with you? You’re so pale and looks like you’re going to die any minute”

 

Jongwoon hold her hands, Ryeowook smile weakly

 

“Don’t worry hubby, it’s just normal whenever I’m having my monthly period”

 

“I see, I’ll pack our things now and get dress. Get up after five minutes, arasso?”

 

Ryeowook nods, Jongwoon kiss her

 

“Saranghae”

 

“Saranghae”

 

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook and Jongwoon arrive on Kim’s residence. They are late because Ryeowook don’t feel nice

 

“Mianhae, we’re late”

 

“It’s ok”

 

Kangin pat his back; Teukie hug her son and her daughter in law

 

“Baby, are you sick?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“She’s not feeling nice Umma”

 

Jongwoon carry her inside the coaster. Kyuhyun and Sungmin smiles at them and look at Ryeowook blankly

 

“She’s not feeling nice, that’s why we’re late. She keeps on going at the bathroom to puke”

 

Kibum, Sungmin and Kyuhyun look at each other blankly. Kangin and Hankyung were loading their things inside the coaster; Teukie pulls Heechul before they get inside the car

 

“Chullie, did you notice our baby?”

 

“Li xu?”

 

Teukie nods

 

“She’s pale, that’s why I’m going to give her this”

 

Heechul show her the medicine that she’s holding, Teukie grab it away from her

 

“Don’t give it to her”

 

Heechul stare at her curiously

 

“Why not?”

 

Teukie suddenly smile

 

“What if she’s pregnant? It will affect the baby” 

 

Heechul’s eyes widened

 

“Li xu is pregnant, how cool is that?”

 

Teukie hugs her tight as they giggle happily

 

“How do you know that she’s pregnant?”

 

“There are signs of pregnancy”

 

Heechul look at her curiously

 

“First, she’s pale and not feeling nice”

 

Heechul nod happily

 

“I see, that’s why Jongwoon carry her inside”

 

“Yes, we just need to wait for another sign”

 

Heechul hug her

 

“Teukie, finally we’re going to have a grandchild”

 

Kangin and Hankyung look at them blankly while they giggles happily, hugging each other.

 

“Hey, both of you need to go inside if you want to come with us. We’re about to leave”

 

Kangin told them while smiling; Heechul and Teukie nod at them and run inside the coaster

 

 

 

 

The Kim’s family driver park the coaster beside the tree. Kangin smiles at their children

 

“We need to go down now; the car can’t go up there anymore”

 

“Appa what are we going to do?”

 

Jongwoon ask him curiously, Kibum stand and carry his things and smile at his brother

 

“Hyung this is daebak, we’re going on mountain climbing”

 

Jongwoon stare at his brother

 

“What?”

 

“Yes, so you need to hurry now”

 

“Is this some kind of a camping?”

 

Kangin pat his head

 

“Yes, the only difference is, we’re not staying in a tent but in a house. When we arrive at the top there’s a house waiting for us”

 

“I see”

 

Sungmin jump out of the coaster and start walking with Kyuhyun, she holds his hand tight afraid to fall on the mountain

 

“You need to hold me tight baby, I’m really scared”

 

“Don’t worry Minnie I won’t let you fall, just hold my hand tight.”

 

Sungmin smile at him, Kyuhyun grab some of her things and carry it so it won’t be a burden to her. Heechul and Teukie are holding each other’s hand while walking happily. They keep on observing Ryeowook who looks so pale and sleepy. Hankyung and Kangin walk together, while Kibum walks behind Jongwoon and Ryeowook, making sure that if she falls, he’ll catch her.

 

“Why do we need to climb a mountain? OMO, I think I’m going to die”

 

Jongwoon smile at her

 

“Babe, it’s fun”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“It’s not fun, how far do we need to walk to arrive at the house that Appa was talking about?”

 

Jongwoon look at Kibum

 

“Bummie, how high the mountain is?”

 

Kibum shook his head

 

“I don’t know, I’m not an engineer to compute for the height of this mountain”

 

“You watch over Wookie, arasso? I’ll kill you if she falls”

 

Ryeowook poke him

 

“You’re the one who suppose to watch me because you’re my husband”

 

“No need if Bummie is around”

 

Jongwoon pat Kibum’s shoulder then run towards Kyuhyun and Sungmin

 

“Hyung is so weird, how can he leave you?”

 

Kibum look at Ryeowook

 

“Are you ok? You look so terrible”

 

“I really don’t feel good, I want to sleep and…”

 

Ryeowook hold her tummy

 

“Hey, Wookie can you still walk? Do you want me to carry you?”

 

Kibum’s eyes widened as she stare at her nervously

 

“I feel so dizzy Bummie”

 

Kibum carry her things and hold her hand tightly

 

“Wookie, do you want to rest?”

 

Ryeowook sit beside the tree while holding her tummy. Kibum give her water and calls Heechul and Hankyung, they immediately run towards her.

 

“Mama, I don’t want to walk anymore”

 

Ryeowook was panting while holding her tummy; Heechul’s eyes widened and keep on checking if there’s a blood coming out from her

 

“Mama, what are you doing?”

 

“I’m checking something”

 

Teukie run towards them, she grabs Ryeowook’s hand and check the pulse

 

“Umma, what are you doing to my wife?”

 

Jongwoon stare at his mother curiously

 

“I’m checking her pulse”

 

“She’s still alive, why do you need to check her pulse?”

 

“Shhh, be quiet Jongwoon”

 

Teukie was busy checking her pulse, Sungmin drag Kibum away from them. Kyuhyun and her talks with him at the corner.

 

“What happen to Li xu?”

 

“She feels so dizzy and looks like dying. She told me that she doesn’t feel nice and she’s so pale. She keeps on holding her tummy, and that’s the thing that worries me”

 

Sungmin stare at Kyuhyun who is staring at Kibum with wide eyes open

 

“Is your sister pregnant?”

 

Kyuhyun ask her, still looking at Kibum

 

“I don’t know”

 

Sungmin shook her head

 

“Noona, if she’s pregnant she’s not suppose to be walking like that”

 

Sungmin stare at them

 

“What if she’s pregnant? OMO, this is bad”

 

Sungmin run towards them leaving Kibum and Kyuhyun staring at each other blankly

 

“Aunt Teukie, is Li xu alright?”

 

“Of course she is”

 

Sungmin take a deep breath. Teukie keeps on checking her pulse, she stares at Heechul with wide eyes

 

“Teukie, what’s wrong?”

 

“I can’t feel it”

 

“What?”

 

Heechul grab her daughter’s hand and checks her pulse

 

“What are you doing to me?”

 

“Li xu be quiet, Mama and Umma is busy”

 

Heechul stare at Teukie and shook her head. Teukie move closer and hold her tummy

 

“Does your tummy aches baby?”

 

“Yes”

 

“OMO, this is bad”

 

Teukie and Heechul stare at each other. Hankyung sit beside Ryeowook

 

“I’ll give you a piggy back ride”

 

“Xie Xie”

 

Ryeowook smile at him, Hankyung carry her daughter on his back and start walking again. Kangin gives some of Hankyung’s things to Jongwoon

 

“Help your father in law to carry his things, because he needs to carry Wookie”

 

Jongwoon nods, Kangin drag Heechul and Teukie with him while Sungmin walks with Kyuhyun and Kibum, still wondering if Ryeowook is pregnant

 

 

 

 

 

They arrive at the house at the center of the mountain

 

“Ba ba, put me down now I need to go to the bathroom”

 

“Why?”

 

“I’m going to puke”

 

Hankyung put her down carefully, Ryeowook run inside the house to look for a bathroom. Jongwoon put down the things that he’s carrying and follow her. Heechul and Teukie smile at each other

 

“We have announcement to make before we get inside”

 

Teukie told them while smiling

 

“We need to congratulate our Jongwoonie and our Ryeowookie, because they’re going to have a baby soon”

 

“Li xu is pregnant”

 

Heechul and Teukie hug each other while smiling brightly; the rest stare at them blankly

 

“How did you know?”

 

Kangin ask them

 

“Boys really don’t understand the signs of pregnancy. Ryeowook feels dizzy and sleepy. Jongwoon told me awhile ago the reason why they came late, because Wookie doesn’t feel nice and don’t want to get off the bed, and pregnant woman usually had morning sickness. The second one is, she’s pale and dizzy because of sudden change in her and for craving something. Third is, she go inside to puke”

 

Kangin and Hankyung smile at each other

 

“That’s great news then”

 

“Let’s go inside and greet them”

 

Heechul and Teukie nods while dragging their husbands with them. Sungmin and Kyuhyun walks with Kibum while staring at each other blankly. When they went inside the house, they find Ryeowook sitting on Jongwoon’s lap while they are talking; Heechul and Teukie hugs them tight while their fathers smile brightly at them

 

“Congratulation Wookie and Jongwoon”

 

Teukie kiss their cheeks, Jongwoon stare at them blankly

 

“Congratulation? Why, did I win a best actor award or Wookie will already graduate? But she’s on her 3^rd year and not even a graduating student yet”

 

Kangin hit his head

 

“Don’t play dumb you fool”

 

Jongwoon scratch his head

 

“I’m not playing dumb Appa”

 

Heechul hold Ryeowook’s hand

 

“Honey, you need to take care of yourself more”

 

“Of course mama, and besides Jongwoon is taking care of me too”

 

Heechul smile

 

“That’s great; do you want to eat something or what?”

 

“I want to sleep”

 

“That’s nice. Just sleep and take a rest, it will be good for you.”

 

Jongwoon stares at them blankly, he stares at his cousin, but Kyuhyun turn his gaze away from him

 

“What’s going on? Why are you acting so weird today?”

 

“We’re just happy because Wookie is pregnant”

 

Teukie smile at them brightly; Jongwoon and Ryeowook stare at each other blankly

 

“Alien babe, are you hiding something from me?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“Don’t tell me that you’re…Aish! Kim Kibum!!!”

 

Kibum walks towards him

 

“Yah! What did you do to my wife?”

 

“Hyung, I didn’t do something to her”

 

“Then why is she pregnant? Don’t tell me you two are having an affair behind my back”

 

“Talk to the hand”

 

Kibum rolls his eyes and walks away

 

“Kim Kibum! I’m not yet done talk—“

 

Kangin hit his head hard

 

“Appa, what is that for?”

 

“Yah! Of course Wookie is pregnant and you’re the father”

 

Ryeowook and Jongwoon stare at them blankly

 

“Who told you that my alien babe is pregnant?”

 

They point at Heechul and Teukie who are smiling so brightly

 

“You’re pregnant, right Li xu?”

 

Ryeowook took a deep breath

 

“Mama, unfortunately no”

 

“What?”

 

Teukie and Heechul’s smile suddenly vanish

 

“To be honest, this alien is not pregnant, how can she be pregnant if we’re not yet doing anything?”

 

“What?”

 

Ryeowook nods at them

 

“Then, why are you feeling that way?”

 

“Mama it’s because of my monthly period”

 

Kangin and Hankyung smile at their wives and pat their shoulder

 

“Join us at the family room and let’s drink soju”

 

“Remember not to jump in conclusion”

 

They smile while teasing them, Sungmin drag Kyuhyun with him at the family room. Kibum smile at Ryeowook

 

“If you’re period is done, let’s make love so you’ll be pregnant with my child, so that Hyung’s wish will be granted”

 

“Yah Kim Kibum!!!”

 

Kibum laugh and stuck his tongue out

 

“I’m just kidding Hyung, don’t be jealous”

 

“I’m not jealous”

 

“That’s why you’re face is getting red”

 

“SHUT UP”

 

“I’ll go now, take care of my sweetie pie”

 

“SHUT UP”

 

Kibum smile at Ryeowook and follows his cousin and Sungmin at the family room. Heechul and Teukie stare at each other

 

“OMO, let’s kill each other now Chullie”

 

“Ok, let’s go and drink a lot of soju and celebrate the false alarm of Li xu’s pregnancy”

 

Heechul and Teukie bows their head while walking towards the family room; Jongwoon and Ryeowook laugh watching them walk away. Ryeowook pinch Jongwoon’s nose

 

“What is that for?”

 

“For being jealous with Bummie and telling us that we’re having an affair”

 

“Is that true?”

 

“Of course not”

 

Jongwoon kiss her

 

“What are we going to do now?”

 

“You carry me on our room and let’s sleep”

 

“That’s a good idea, I’m tired, and I want to rest for awhile”

 

Jongwoon kiss her again before carrying her to their room

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sungmin finish cooking the dinner, Heechul and Teukie calls the rest after preparing the table; they eat their dinner happily

 

“Next week will be Li xu’s birthday”

 

Heechul announced it happily; Jongwoon stare at his wife blankly

 

“What is your plan Jongwoon?”

 

Kangin ask his son who keeps his eyes upon Ryeowook…Ryeowook look at him and smile at them

 

“We’re not yet talking about it Appa, but my plan is to cook at home and have dinner with my husband, and then the week after my birthday, that’s the time that I’m going to celebrate it with you. I want to spend my birthday week with Jongwoon, is that fine with you?”

 

Hankyung smile at her

 

“It’s ok, that will be a great idea honey”

 

“Thanks Ba ba”

 

They continue eating, Jongwoon keeps on staring at Ryeowook blankly; after dinner, Ryeowook volunteers to wash the dishes, Kibum follows her at the kitchen to help her. Jongwoon keeps on walking at the living room while Sungmin and Kyuhyun watch a movie. Sungmin notice him, and throws a pillow at his direction.

 

“What?”

 

“Stop walking it’s so annoying”

 

Jongwoon run towards them

 

“Why you didn’t tell me that Wookie’s birthday will be next week?”

 

Kyuhyun raise his eyebrow

 

“It’s so sad that you don’t know”

 

“She’s not telling me”

 

“Is that her obligation? You suppose to know it without her help”

 

“June what?”

 

“21 to be exact”

 

Jongwoon frown at his cousin

 

“How come you know it?”

 

“Because I’m smart and you’re stupid”

 

Kyuhyun smirk, Jongwoon sigh and went at the kitchen to talk to Ryeowook. He stops at the door and watch Ryeowook and Kibum playing with the water. He walks towards them and stand in between them

 

“What are you doing?”

 

“Bummie and I were playing”
 

“You suppose to wash the dishes, so stop playing and please conserve water”

 

Kibum smile at Jongwoon

 

“Why are you here Hyung?”

 

“I’m going to help my alien babe in washing the dishes, because you’re not helping her”

 

Kibum remove his apron and put it on Jongwoon’s neck, he grab Ryeowook’s hand

 

“Let’s play outside”

 

“Ok”

 

Ryeowook remove her apron

 

“Nobody leaves until the dishes are finish”

 

Jongwoon stop them from leaving

 

“Hyung, you wash it ok”

 

“Yah”

 

Kibum and Ryeowook hold each other’s hand and run outside leaving Jongwoon alone at the kitchen

 

“Aish! Those kids are so childish”

 

Jongwoon sigh and start washing the dishes. Kibum and Ryeowook went at the garden and sit on the grass while watching the stars at the sky.

 

 

 

 

 

“Time travels so fast; it’s already summer, and next semester we’re already third year student”

 

“Daebak”

 

Ryeowook smile

 

“Bummie what’s your plan this summer?”

 

“I’ll go in Australia on July; you want to come with me?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“I don’t know, if Jongwoon will agree then I can come with you”

 

“I’m going to visit my friends there”

 

“You’re going there alone?”

 

“Appa and Umma will go with me, but they will just stay there for one week, and then return in Seoul. I think Kyuhyun Hyung will follow with Minnie Noona”

 

“Yes they will, I’ve heard from Unnie that Kyu Gege’s parents will be in Australia”

 

“Yes, aunt and uncle are so excited to see Noona again”

 

Kibum stare at the sky

 

“Look sweetie pie, a shooting star”

 

Ryeowook smile upon seeing the shooting star

 

“Let’s make a wish Bummie”

 

“Sure”

 

Ryeowook close her eyes as she wish upon the shooting star; Kibum stare at her happily, Ryeowook opens her eyes and found Kibum staring at her

 

“What is your wish Wookie?”

 

“I wish that Jongwoon and I will be happy forever and will love each other forever, how about you?”

 

“I wish that I found the girl that is right for me”

 

Kibum smile at her

 

“If you agree to marry me you don’t need to find her”

 

“I know, but you’re for Hyung and not mine”

 

Kibum smile and stare at the sky again

 

“To be honest, my wish is the same as your wish. I wish that you’ll be happy, and smiling always because of Hyung”
 

“I hope so”

 

“Of course it will happen”

 

Kibum hug her, Jongwoon’s eyes widened as he saw Kibum hugging Ryeowook

 

“KIM KIBUM”

 

Kibum laugh and turn around

 

“It’s an endearment, arasso?”

 

Kibum smiles at his brother

 

“Whatever”

 

Kibum stand and walk towards him

 

“Don’t show that you’re jealous”

 

He whispers to him

 

“I’m not”

 

“Good night Hyung”

 

Kibum pat his shoulder and went inside. Jongwoon sit beside Ryeowook and hold her hand

 

“What are you doing here?”

 

“Bummie and I were watching the sky, and we saw a shooting star”

 

“Did you make a wish?”

 

Ryeowook nod

 

“What is it?”

 

“Secret”

 

Jongwoon smile and pinch her cheek

 

“You didn’t even tell me that your birthday will be next week”

 

“I thought you know”

 

“How will I know if you didn’t tell me on the first place?”

 

“Mianhae”

 

Jongwoon hold her closer to him

 

“Is that really you’re plan?”

 

Ryeowook nod

 

“Yes, you don’t want to spend my birthday with me?”

 

“Of course I want”

 

Jongwoon lay on the grass, Ryeowook lie on top of him and rest her head on his chest

 

“Hubby, I love you”

 

“I love you so much babe”

 

“Can we stay like this forever?”

 

“Of course, but we need to have a child too”

 

“That will happen soon, just wait”

 

“I can wait, the problem is, our mothers can’t wait”

 

Ryeowook laugh softly

 

“They are so funny awhile ago”

 

“They are really weird”

 

Ryeowook look at him and kiss his lips

 

“Did you finish washing the dishes?”

 

“Yes, my hands hurt”

 

Ryeowook smile at him

 

“Thanks for helping me and Bummie”

 

“You’re not washing the dishes, you’re flirting with him”

 

“Hell no”

 

“Really”

 

“Of course, I only love you”

 

“That’s the best answer that I heard from you”

 

Jongwoon kiss her

 

“Let’s sleep now”

 

“Sure”

 

Jongwoon stand and carry her inside their room
