CHAPTER 58

 

Ryeowook arrives at the court with Heechul and Hankyung. She stares at Jongwoon who keeps on avoiding her eyes and look at Jessica who smiles at her. She wants to pull her long blonde hair and hit her face, but Ryeowook controls her emotion and just think about her baby who is inside her womb. Their lawyers talk to each other then give them a final advice. Ryeowook look at Jongwoon before signing the divorce paper in front of the judge

 

“The marriage between Kim Jongwoon and Han Ryeowook is officially and legally over”

 

The judge told them; Ryeowook bows at the judge

 

“Let’s go mama and ba ba. Nai nai is waiting for me”

 

Ryeowook was about to leave when Jongwoon stops her

 

“Do you want to take this or should I throw it?”

 

Ryeowook look at Jongwoon’s wedding ring

 

“Throw it if you want, or give it to your new wife”

 

Ryeowook look at Jessica before leaving with her parents, her lawyer and their bodyguards. Ryeowook was shock to see Teukie and Kangin outside the hall, waiting for them

 

“Baby, I wa—“

 

Teukie didn’t have the chance to finish her words because Ryeowook bows to her before walking away with Heechul. Hankyung look at Kangin and Teukie sadly

 

“Li xu, just need space and time to be alone”

 

“We’re sorry Hankyung”

 

“It’s not your fault Kangin, it’s the couple’s decision. We can’t do anything, but at least we try to stop it but in the end their decision matters”

 

Hankyung salute at them and follow his wife and his daughter inside the car as their family driver drops them at Incheon Airport where Sungmin and Kyuhyun are waiting

 

“Li xu”

 

Sungmin hugs her sister tight while tears start forming in her eyes; she holds her sister’s face and look at her tired and swollen eyes

 

“Please take care of yourself; I’m going to miss you sweetheart”

 

Ryeowook flash a weak smile

 

“Do you really need to leave everything behind?”

 

Ryeowook nod

 

“Unnie, I need to go in a place wherein I can think and start my new life. It will be hard for me to forget everything if I stay here in Seoul”

 

“Seoul is your home”

 

“But Beijing is also my home and I need to find my own happiness there together with my child”

 

Sungmin’s tears start falling as she hugs her sister tight

 

“Li xu, why is this happening? It’s hard to say goodbye”

 

Ryeowook hugs her tight

 

“Unnie we can still see each other. You can go in Beijing anytime and visit me. It’s also your home don’t forget that”

 

“I know, but things will be very different now. You will be very far away from me and I know that you don’t have any plan in returning here”

 

Ryeowook look at her sister and wipe her tears away

 

“We’re still sisters, even though I’m far away”

Sungmin hold Ryeowook’s hand

Ryeowook hug her sister

Ryeowook nods; Kyuhyun give her a warm hug

 

“I’m really sorry for what happen to you and Jongwoon, but please be happy and take care. Minnie and I will be looking forward for the arrival of the new member in the family. Stay strong Wookie”

“How about Bummie?”

 

Ryeowook look at Kyuhyun blankly

 

“He keeps on disturbing me just to ask where on earth you are. He really wants to know your condition, but of course I can’t tell him that you will be staying in Beijing”

 

“OMO!!! I forgot to bid farewell to him”

 

Kyuhyun smile

 

“You know what, he can be so childish sometime; I really want to stick his lips together, so he won’t bother me anymore. Honestly, he talks a lot, calling me on the phone, visiting the house and my office just to ask about you”

 

“Maybe I’ll just give him a call when I am ready to see Teukie Umma and Kangin Appa again, but Gege please don’t tell him anything about me, even though he keeps on bothering you”

 

“No problem”

 

Ryeowook hugs Kyuhyun; Heechul hold her daughter’s hand and smile

 

“Let’s go now honey”

 

Ryeowook give Sungmin and Kyuhyun one last hug before going inside the Airport with Hankyung and Heechul

 

“I’m going to miss my sister”

 

Sungmin look at Kyuhyun

 

“Baby, we need to follow them as soon as possible”

 

“Follow them?”

 

“I mean we need to visit Li xu soon”

 

“Maybe next month. I still need to finish a lot of business works and I still need to talk with Jongwoon”

 

Sungmin’s eyes widened

 

“YAH! Why do you need to talk to that ?”

 

Kyuhyun sigh

 

“Baby, no matter what happen, Jongwoon is still my business partner and of course we need to talk about business ok”

 

Sungmin frown

 

“Aish! If ever I have the chance to see his stupid face, I’m really going to hit him so hard. If Li xu will not kill me, I’m really going to break his bones into pieces”

 

Kyuhyun smiles at her

Sungmin shoot him a deadly glare

Ryeowook was holding her wedding ring, staring on it sadly

 

“It’s so sad that I only wear it for one year”

 

Ryeowook sigh

 

“I’m really scared of what will happen to me now”

 

Ryeowook hold her tummy and rub it gently

 

“Baby, you need to give me strength to go on. We can make it, Fighting!”

 

Ryeowook look at her wedding ring again

 

“Until we meet again Kim Jongwoon”

Ryeowook smile as she stare at front door of their manor

Ryeowook nods happily. She follows her parents inside and smiles brightly upon seeing her grandmother, sitting at the living room while reading something in her laptop

Ryeowook walks towards her and hug her tight

Mimi smile at her

 

“Zenme ni de haizi?” (How’s your baby?)

 

“Not that fine nai nai. My doctor told me that I should have a complete bed rest all the time and to avoid too much pressure and stress”

 

“You should follow ok. Your mama and I are here to watch over you and help you with your pregnancy”

“I need to stay at the hospital for about three months, if ever I’m carrying twins”

Mimi holds her granddaughter’s hand

 

“Li xu, I wish you happiness and I know that the baby will replace those tears with smile on your face. You need to go on for their sake. Never ever lose hope and keep on going, so you can live your life to the fullest. I know that what happen between you and Jongwoon is really painful, but please learn to forgive him; time will find its way to heal everything that happens and if you really decide to be far away from each other, I wish that both of you will find happiness on whatever decision that you will have in the future”

 

Ryeowook stares at her grandmother sadly

 

“But Jongwoon already leaves me nai nai”

 

“It doesn’t mean that he will never comeback”

 

Mimi smile at her brightly

 

“You will still be connected to him because you have child and no matter what happens the baby will stay as your connection with him, so you can never avoid Jongwoon”

“You will understand it if you open your heart, maybe not now because the wounds are still fresh. But by the time that you are willing to accept what happen, you will understand it”

 

Mimi holds her hand and smile

 

“You need to go upstairs and take a rest. I need to discuss something with your mama and ba ba”

 

Mimi looks at Heechul and Hankyung who are sitting with them

Mimi kissed Ryeowook’s cheek before she go to her room and take a rest. When Ryeowook is already upstairs, Mimi stares at Heechul and Hankyung

 

“I’m going to ask what will happen to Jongwoon?”

 

Heechul look at Hankyung

Hankyung sigh and hold his forehead

“Hannie, if you’re mad at him don’t let it go beyond your work. Jongwoon is part of the Board and he has a big share in the company, you know that very well. You can’t just throw him out of the company unless he will withdraw from his position”

 

“I’m not going to attend any meeting regarding with the company”

 

Heechul frown

 

“You’re being unprofessional honey”

 

“Chullie, ni bu mingbai queding” (Chullie, you don’t understand ok)

 

“Mama is right; do not bring the issue to your work. Jongwoon is a business tycoon like you, so you can’t avoid him because you are working in the same field. Whether you like it or not, you will still see each other”

 

Hankyung stand

 

“I better go to work, I hate talking about that arrogant man”

 

Hankyung kissed Heechul and his mother before leaving

 

“Such short tempered and hard headed son of mine”

“By the way Chullie, what will happen to Li xu’s education?”

 

“The doctor told her to have a leave of absence in school and just continue her study after she gives birth. Li xu told me that she will return in school when the baby turns three years old”

 

“In Seoul Conservatory?”

 

Heechul shook her head

 

“No, in Beijing Conservatory of Music”

 

“She really don’t have plan in returning to Seoul?”

 

“I don’t know Mama”

 

“I just hope that everything will be fine and Li xu to be happy again. It hurts seeing her like that, but whatever decision she will make in the future, let’s just support her and guide her”

 

Heechul nods

 

“I know my daughter can do it”

Jongwoon was staring at the window blankly when someone hugs him from behind

 

“Sweetheart, it’s already late at night. Let’s sleep now”

 

Jongwoon look at Jessica who is smiling brightly at him

 

“I’m not yet sleepy”

 

“Ok, then I’ll sleep first. Arasso”

 

Jongwoon nods, Jessica smile and kissed his lips before lying on the bed. Jongwoon watches the moon that was shining so bright

 

“I bet that alien is also watching the moon, she loves watching stars and the moon every night, especially while waiting for me to arrive…so childish”

 

Jongwoon smile, he looks at Jessica who is sleeping peacefully

 

“You know Jessica, when my alien babe wants to sleep and I am not yet sleepy, she will do everything to disturb me so I will agree to sleep and she will keep on insisting that we should sleep, because she can’t sleep without me by her side and I really don’t know why. The only answer that I get is, she’s afraid of the ghost that’s why she always wants that we sleep together. If I’m not yet home, she will really wait for me, though she’s already sleepy. I really admire her patience for waiting, though I hate it sometimes because she’s getting sick whenever she sleeps so late at night”

 

Jongwoon whisper while staring at Jessica

 

“You sleep tight”

 

Jongwoon carefully opens the door to avoid waking Jessica and went to the living room. He sits on the sofa and closes his eyes while thinking a lot of things. His quiet moment has been disturb when a cute little puppy start lying on her foot. Jongwoon opens his eyes and stare at Dabong who looks so sad and have been quiet the whole day. Jongwoon carries him on his arms, and start his hair

 

“Do you miss Wookie?”

 

The dog just looks at him with sad eyes

 

“The house is really empty without her and it’s so quiet without that alien”

 

Jongwoon smile weakly and look at the clock

 

“It’s already nine in the evening. I bet that alien is not yet sleeping, because I’m not by her side”

 

Jongwoon’s smile suddenly vanishes as tears start falling from his eyes. He hug Dabong

 

“I never knew that life will be so hard without her by my side, why did I do such stupid things like this and push her away? Dabong, I miss her already, but I know that I can never bring her back anymore. I already left a deep wound in her heart and that is unforgivable and it will never heal”

 

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook was looking at the window, watching the moon that shines so brightly while holding her tummy

 

“The moon shines so bright and it is so beautiful baby. You need to arrive soon, so we can watch it together while I read stoy books and sing you a lullaby every night”

 

Ryeowook smile

 

“I wonder what is your ba ba doing right now? I hope he’s not staying so late at night, working in his office”

 

Ryeowook shook her head and sigh

 

“Han Ryeowook, you need to erase him from your mind. Arasso”

 

Ryeowook whisper

 

“Kim Jongwoon, I will raise our child without you and I know that I can do it. You will never know about him because you will be completely out of my life starting today. My new chapter of life shall begin and you’re no longer included”

 

Heechul came in holding a glass on her hand

 

“Li xu honey”

 

Ryeowook turn around and look at her mother who is smiling at her

 

“Here’s your watermelon smoothie, I made it for you. You need to drink it now”

 

Ryeowook smile and sit on her bed. Heechul joins her and give her the smoothie

 

“Thanks mama”

 

Ryeowook start drinking it

 

“Your sister calls awhile ago, they will visit you next month”

 

“That’s good, I already miss Unnie”

 

“She’s actually crying because she also misses you so much. Both of you are so childish”

 

“Because we’re your daughter and you’re also childish like us”

 

Ryeowook smile at Heechul

 

“Why are you still awake?”

 

“I can’t sleep mama because Jongwoon is not beside me”

 

Heechul sigh and hold her cheek

 

“Honey, you need to move on and you must help yourself to forget him. I know you still love Jongwoon and of course it’s hard to forget someone who became part of your life, but everything is already over. You need to start your life without him and it will be very hard for you to move forward if you will not help yourself and will always think about him. Please learn to love yourself Li xu, you’ve done enough so please let go”

 

Ryeowook nods

 

“Do you want me to sing you a lullaby?”

 

“That will be nice”

 

Ryeowook lay on her bed happily, Heechul her hair gently

 

“Honey, I want to see you happy again and I’m really excited to see my new grandchild. I hope you’re carrying twins, so I will have three cute grandchildren, that’s great. Hannie, mama Mimi and I will take care three cute little kids, that’s wonderful. I hope I will have a granddaughter so you need to give me a granddaughter”

 

“You’re so crazy mama”

 

Heechul smile brightly; Hankyung knocks and enter the room, smiling

 

“What are you doing here honey?”

 

“I’m here to visit Li xu, just arrive from work”

 

Hankyung sit on the bed and kissed Heechul’s lips and Ryeowook’s forehead

 

“Ni yao shui le wo de xiao gongzhu?” (Are you going to sleep now my little princess?)

“I was about to sing a sweet lullaby to your daughter when you came in disturbing us”

 

Hankyung raised his eyebrow and laugh

 

“Sweet lullaby? Since when did your voice become sweet when singing? It sounds like a monster who will eat Li xu any minute, and please be shame because your grandchild will hear your monster like voice”

 

“YAH!”

 

Ryeowook laugh soflty

 

“Stop laughing Li xu, don’t join your father in laughing”

 

“Mianhae mama, but both of you are really funny”

 

Heechul smile at Hankyung as they hug her

 

“We just want to make you laugh and we finally did it”

 

Hankyung told her while smiling. Ryeowook hold their hand

 

“Xie xie mama he baba. Wo ai ni”

 

“Wo ai ni Li xu”

 

“Wo ai ni Li xu, you need to sleep now for the baby to gain strength, and both of you will be healthy”

 

Ryeowook kissed her parents’ cheek, Heechul smile and start singing a sweet lullaby, making Ryeowook feels so calm and sleepy. She smile and slowly close her eyes as she sleep peacefully while her parents hug her
