CHAPTER 57

 

 

Ryeowook was driving her car after going to her school to file a leave of absence as her doctor advised her. She didn’t have the chance to talk to Kibum because he is still in his class when she left. Her phone suddenly rings, Ryeowook answered it and heard a worried voice

 

“Li xu, ni zai na li?” (Li xu where are you?)

 

“Wo qu xuexiao qingjia wenjian” (I went to school to file a leave of absence)

 

“Wei shen me?” (Why?)

 

Ryeowook didn’t answer her

 

“Gui gaosu wo zuotian fasheng shenme, Mama ye gaosu wo zhe shi le” (Kyu told me what happen yesterday and Mmma also inform me about it)

 

Ryeowook was contolling her tears from falling as she focus on her driving

 

“Ba ba’s driver will fetch you later at four in the afternoon; you really need to go home now ok”

 

“Dajie qing gaosu Ba ba, wo hui kaiche hui jia” (Unnie, please tell ba ba that I’ll drive home)

 

“Are you sure about it sweetheart?”

 

Ryeowook nod

 

“Yes, I’ll just go at the condominium to get some of my things then I’ll drive home”

 

“Ok, I’ll see you here later”

 

“Ok”

 

Ryeowook hang up and continue driving sadly

 

 

 

 

*CONDOMINIUM*

 

 

Ryeowook was shock to see all her things already packed. Jongwoon went out of the kitchen, holding an ice cold glass of water

 

“Jongwoon, how come all my things are already packed?”

 

Jongwoon put down the glass of water on the table

 

“What did I tell you yesterday? When I come back I don’t want to see your face, you need to leave now before Jessica arrives”

 

Ryeowook stares at him sadly

 

“Can we talk about it hubby? Please, I really can’t accept that you’re going to leave me”

 

Jongwoon walks towards her and hold her arm tightly

 

“We don’t need to talk Wookie, everything is over now between us”

 

Jongwoon gets the envelope on the table and give it to her

 

“My lawyer already finish processing our divorce paper, I’ll see you at the court this Thursday because you need to sign this divorce paper in front of the judge”

 

Ryeowook’s tears start falling

 

“Do you really need to leave me?”

 

“I don’t love you Wookie, you know that very well”

 

Jongwoon’s eyes widened when Ryeowook kneels in front of him, hugging his legs, begging him while tears keep on falling from her eyes

 

“Jongwoon, I’m begging you please don’t do this to me, don’t leave me. I love you so much you know that”

 

“Go away Wookie, let go of me!”

 

Jongwoon keeps on trying to push her away, but Ryeowook won’t let go

 

“I’m begging you Jongwoon, please don’t leave me. I will accept your child to her willingly and love him as my own. I need you Jongwoon, please”

 

“Get off!”

 

“Jongwoon no…please no”

 

Jongwoon lift her up, Ryeowook hug him, still begging but Jongwoon just ignores her and drag her, pushing her outside then he throw her things outside then close the door. Ryeowook kneel down, holding the door knob, knocking on the door; begging Jongwoon

 

“Hubby please open the door, let’s talk please…I love you”

 

Jongwoon’s tears start falling while listening at his wife who keeps on begging him. He punch the wall as hard as he could; he lean his forehead on the door, he kneels down crying

 

“Mianhae babe, but I need to do this for my child”

 

Jongwoon whisper as tears keep falling from his eyes. Ryeowook was crying so hard, still knocking on the door

 

“Jongwoon, please open the door. Hubby don’t do this to me. I need you, please. I am willing to do everything, just give me the chance to be with you, please hubby listen to me. This is the time that I need you to be always at my side but…why…do you…need…”

 

Wookie didn’t have the chance to finish her words because her tummy was aching so badly, she sits at the corner while holding her tummy. She calms herself and takes a deep breath

 

“Baby please hang on. Mama needs you so please don’t leave me too, you’re the only one I’ve got so please stay ok”

 

Ryeowook stand carefully and grab her luggage and stare at the door sadly

 

“I’m going to give you your happiness though it’s hard for me. I’ll give you your freedom because I love you so much. I hope you’ll be happy with Jessica and your child and please be a good father to him. Saranghae Jongwoon and goodbye”

 

Ryeowook whisper before leaving

 

 

 

 

 

*HAN’S RESIDENCE*

 

 

“Minnie, are you sure that your sister will be here any minute?”

 

“Yes mama, she told me that she will just drive her car and no need to fetch her”

 

Heechul’s face was full of sadness and worries as she keeps on walking at the living room, waiting for her younger daughter to arrive

 

“Hannie, what if your daughter remains there?”

 

“Then she will be out of the family. I will never consider her as my daughter again; she’s so hard headed and never listen to us anymore”

 

Kyuhyun and Sungmin look at Hankyung nervously

 

“Ba ba, please don’t be cruel to Wookie”

 

“Shut up Kyu! That’s my rule and if she won’t follow she will really get it”

 

Kyuhyun bows his head

 

“I really can’t believe that Jongwoonie can do it”

 

“Maybe that is lying”

 

“He should listen to Aunt Teukie and have a DNA test. I also doubt that he is really the father of the child”

 

“But the pictures are very clear Kyu”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head

 

“Minnie, those pictures are not clear evidence whether Jessica is really carrying his child ok”

 

Sungmin just sigh

 

“Both of you just shut your mouth. Whether it’s the child of Jongwoon or not, he choose to leave Li xu then that’s final and he will never see Li xu again even if he begs in front of me”

 

Hankyung told them. Heechul stare at the door as Ryeowook arrive holding an envelope. She looks so terrible. She’s so pale and looks like she will die in a minute. She falls on her mother’s arms

 

“Hannie! Your daughter”

 

Heechul starts to panic while looking at her daughter. Hankyung run towards them and hold her on his arms

 

“I’m going to call a doctor”

 

“Gege no, I’m…fine”

 

Ryeowook bury her face on Hankyung’s arms and start crying; Kyuhyun hugs his wife as she too start to cry, feeling so pity towards her sister

 

“Jongwoon already finish processing our divorce paper”

 

Heechul grabs the envelope on her hand and read the papers and stare at her husband with worried face

 

“Its final honey, Jongwoon will really leave Li xu. She just needs to sign in front of the judge on Thursday”

 

“Then we shall go on Thursday and give him what he wants. He really wants it, then let it be”

 

Hankyung hugs her daughter who start crying really hard

 

“My little princess, ba ba and mama are always here for you no matter what happen. We will take care of you and never leaves you. You’re our baby and we will not allow such things to happen to you again, please stop crying and don’t waste your tears to a stupid man like him; he don’t deserves it. You don’t have to cry over anyone who won’t cry over you”

 

“Ba ba, mama wo gai zenyang shenghuo zai meiyou Jongwoon?” (Baba, Mama how will I live without Jongwoon?)

 

Heechul’s tears start falling from her eyes while her daughter’s hair gently

 

“Li xu, life goes on no matter what happen”

 

“Wo ai ta de mama” (I love him Mama)

 

“Wo zhidao, dan ni xianzai xuyao fangshou” (I know but you need to let go now)

 

Ryeowook look at her mother

 

“Mama, I need Jongwoon”

 

“But we’re here for you honey”

 

Heechul hugs her tight, comforting her

 

“Mama, I don’t know how to live without him even if life must goes on. What will happen to me and to our child?”

 

Hankyung hold Ryeowook’s face

 

“Li xu honey, what do you mean by that?”

 

“Wo huaiyun ba ba” (I’m pregnant ba ba)

 

Sungmin and Kyuhyun were shock as they stare at Ryeowook. Hankyung look at Heechul who is crying so hard while hugging her daughter

 

“What will happen to us mama? How will I carry the baby without him? I don’t know what to do, why he needs to leave me during this time that I needed him? How will I raise our child alone? Mama, I want to die, my life is completely ruined. I didn’t do anything for him to hurt me like this…Mama, ba ba, I need Jongwoon and our child needs him too, but why?”

 

Heechul keep her closer to her arms as she continue to cry

 

“Mianhae honey, it’s our fault that you’re suffering like this. We became selfish parents for letting you marry him without even thinking about you. We’re really sorry Li xu”

 

Heechul hold Ryeowooks face as she wipes her tears

 

“Li xu, you need to live no matter what happen for your baby. The child needs you, so you need to live and be the best mom that you can be. I know that it’s hard to raise a child alone, but you can do it without the help of Jongwoon. You will raise the child and we are here to help you. Love the baby and you need to be strong for him. The child will give you strength to go on ,even if his father left both of you for other woman. You have a child and life must go on even without Jongwoon, you can do it honey, and we are here for you. We will never leave you”

 

Ryeowook suddenly hold her tummy feeling the pain again

 

“Mama”

 

Ryeowook press Heechul’s hand

 

“Honey, what’s wrong?”

 

“My tummy…it’s aching so badly…Mama”

 

Hankyung carries her daughter and told his driver to drive them to the hospital

 

“Mama, please call us immediately about Li xu and her baby’s condition”

 

“Yes Minnie, you stay here with Key and Kyu”

 

Heechul went inside the car as they went to the hospital

 

 

 

 

*HOSPITAL*

 

 

Heechul was sitting on the bed while holding her daughter’s hand

 

“Li xu, does your husband knows that your pregnant?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head. Heechul look at Hankyung who only stares at Ryeowook sadly. Jia came in to talk to them

 

“Where is Jongwoon?”

 

Heechul and Hankyung stare at her sadly; Hankyung walks towards her and whisper something, Jia’s eyes widened while staring at Ryeowook

 

“Mianhae. I didn’t know Li xu”

 

Ryeowook smile weakly. Jia sigh and look at Heechul and Hankyung with worried face

 

“Well, we are very lucky to save the baby, however I’m requiring Li xu to stay here at the hospital for the meantime until we further finish our observation to her”

 

“Why do you need to observe her?”

 

Jia looks at Heechul sadly

 

“Chullie, we all know that her womb is very weak to carry a child. We must observe if Li xu’s womb can make it and if not we should proceed for an emergency abortion”

 

Ryeowook stare at her doctor with teary eyes

 

“Why do you need to take my baby away from me?”

 

“Li xu, we’re still observing your condition and if your body can’t handle such risky pregnancy we should perform the emergency abortion or your life will be at risk”

 

Ryeowook’s tears start to fall from her eyes

 

“Doctor, please do everything to save my child, please I’m begging you. If you take him away from me my life will be useless. He’s the only one I’ve got, so don’t take him away from me please”

 

Heechul hug her daughter, Hankyung look at Jia sadly

 

“Please save my grandchild, I really hate to see my daughter like this. She needs her child, please Jia, do everything that you can. We don’t care how much money do we need to spend, just let my grandchild live for Li xu’s sake”

 

“I will Hannie…I will try my best”

 

Jia look at Ryeowook

 

“Li xu please help me save your baby, so please be strong for them. I will do all my best for you and for your child”

 

Ryeowook nods

 

“Doctor, there’s one more thing”

 

“Yes dear?”

 

“Can you please discharge me from the hospital on Thursday?”

 

“I don’t know Li xu”

 

“Please”

 

“I will try, but it will all depend on your health and situation”

 

“I will be healthy by Thursday. I need to finish my job with my husband and that’s to end everything between us, so please discaharge me on Thursday”

 

“Arasso”

 

Jia excused herself after talking to them

 

“Mama, Ba ba, please sits beside me. I need to tell you something”

 

Heechul and Hankyung follow her

 

“I didn’t have the chance to tell Jongwoon that I am pregnant. I’m going to ask a favor to keep my pregnancy private. Please don’t tell it to Teukie Umma and Kangin Appa. I just need some time to forget everything about Jongwoon. Time will heal the wounds that he left. If that time already came, that’s the only time that I’m going to inform Teukie Umma and Kangin Appa about their grandchild, but for the meantime I want to be away from them”

 

“Ok honey, we will respect your decision”

 

Heechul hold her daughter’s hand; Ryeowook look at his father and smile

 

“Ba ba, I want to go back in Beijing”

 

Hankyung nod at her

 

“Ok, I will call mama to inform her about it, and she’s actually waiting for you”

 

“After I sign the divorce paper on Thursday, I will leave Seoul and start my new life in Beijing with my baby. We’re going to live away from his father, so please support me ba ba he mama”

 

Heechul and Hankyung hug their daughter

 

“Of course honey, we are here to support you always. Let’s start a new life in Beijing”

 

Ryeowook hugs her parents tight

 

“This will be the last day that I’m going to cry for Jongwoon. I need to stay strong for my child and raise him, and I will be the best mom for him”

 

“We are here for you Li xu”

 

Hankyung told her daughter as he kissed her forehead

 

 

 

 

Heechul was watching Ryeowook who is already sleeping. Hankyung walks towards him and give her a hug

 

“Li xu, can make it, right honey?”

 

“Of course and we shall help her”

 

Tears start to fall from Heechul’s eyes

 

“I feel so sad for our baby”

 

“But we need to be strong for her and for our grandchild who will soon arrive”

 

Heechul hugs Hankyung

 

“Li xu suffers a lot because of our stupid plan”

 

“Yes, we became so selfish. I hope Li xu will recover fast. It hurts to see her like that, it breaks my heart into pieces seeing our daughter crying and suffereing because of the person she love”

 

“Do you really think it’s right to hide her pregnancy to Teukie and Kangin for the meantime?”

 

Hankyung look at his wife’s eyes

 

“Honey, it’s your daughter’s decision so we need to respect her. She suffers a lot, we need to let her be happy and if being away in Seoul for the meantime will make her happy and forget Jongwoon, then we shall support her. This is her life so let her decide for it .We’re just here to support and guide her”

 

“I hope this thing will soon end. I want to see the happiness in her face again”

 

“Li xu will overcome this obstacle because of her child and we will help her. I know that she will be happy soon”

 

Hankyung wipe Heechul’s tears and kiss her forehead

 

“I already call mama and she will wait for Li xu on Thursday”

 

“How about Jongwoon?”

 

“As I’ve said earlier, that man will never see our daughter again and as Li xu’s wish, he will never know about their child”

 

Heechul just nod at him. She rest her head on her husband’s chest, while they watch over their daughter
