CHAPTER 44

 

Ryeowook and Jongwoon are back to their condominium after staying at Han’s mansion for two weeks. Ryeowook play with Dabong

 

“You need to run Dabong and catch me”

 

Dabong run around the living room with Ryeowook. She sits on the sofa and breathe hard

 

“Ok, let’s stop playing now”

 

Ryeowook carry the dog on her arms

 

“I’m tired”

 

She place Dabong on the sofa

 

“Wait for me, I’m going to get your food and your milk”

 

Ryeowook went at the kitchen and drink ice cold water then grab Dabong’s milk and food then return at the living room to feed him. She watches the dog while he eats, then sits on the piano and start working on her composition

 

 

 

 

*PARK CORPORATION*

 

 

Jongwoon was sitting on Teukie’s chair while doing his business proposal for Shanghai Corporation. Teukie went in and was shock to see her son

 

“Why are you here?”

 

Jongwoon look at his mother

 

“You’re not going at your office today?”

 

“Later, we need to have meeting today, right?”

 

Teukie’s eyes widened

 

“OMO!!! I almost forgot”

 

Jongwoon smile at her and hand his mother a folder

 

“That’s my business proposal for business partnership with Universal Corporation owned by Mr. Charles Smith in New York”

 

Teukie reads it and smile

 

“What do you think Umma?”

 

“How much do you plan to invest in this project?”

 

“One billion dollar, if I get that deal then I can extend Shanghai Corporation in New York”

 

Teukie smile at her son

 

“I wish you luck, please do your best and this business proposal is not bad”

 

“Thanks Umma”

 

“Let’s go now in conference room four, so we can start our meeting”

 

Jongwoon smile and follow his mother outside

 

 

 

 

 

After the meeting, Jongwoon went at his office in Busan.

 

“Sir Jongwoon”

 

Changsu bows at him

 

“A girl went here awhile ago looking for you”

 

Jongwoon stop typing and look at him

 

“Who?”

 

“She didn’t tell her name, she just left a note for you”

 

Changsu hand him a small paper then bows to him and went outside. Jongwoon’s eyes widened while reading the note. He looks at his watch and sigh

 

“I wonder why she wants to see me”

 

Jongwoon grab his car key and left

 

 

 

 

*SEOUL HOTEL*

 

 

Jongwoon walks towards a girl who is staring at the window while waiting for him. He sits on the chair, the girl stares at him blankly

 

“Why do you want to see me?”

 

Yuri hugs him and smile before returning to her seat

 

“I’m glad that you came”

 

Jongwoon look at her

 

“Why do you want to see me?”

 

Yuri smile and hold his hand

 

“It’s been a long time Jongwoon-ah. It’s good to see you again, you look so different now”

 

Jongwoon remains quiet

 

“I know you’re still mad at me for cheating on you before. I’m really sorry. I hope you can forget what happen to us before and I hope we can be friends”

 

“Then?”

 

Yuri smile weakly and get a small card and give it to him. Jongwoon stare on it for a minute before looking at her

 

“I’m getting married”

 

“I’m happy for you and best wishes”

 

Jongwoon smile at her

 

“I’ve heard about your wedding with Han Ryeowook, she’s really beautiful and you’ve got a very rich wife”

 

“She’s really sweet and I love her so much”

 

“That’s good; it’s nice to know that you finally found the right girl for you”

 

“Thanks”

 

Yuri smile still holding his hand

 

“I hope you can come on my wedding”

 

“I’m sorry, but I can’t. I’ll be in France with my wife for our vacation”

 

Yuri fell silent

 

“But I really wish you happiness and it’s good that you finally marrying the man you really love. I’m happy for you”

 

“Are you still mad at me?”

 

Jongwoon sigh and hold her hands

 

“To be honest I really forget about it and let’s not bring back the past anymore. My wife already heals the wound that you left, so it’s fine now. I don’t want to think about you anymore”

 

“I hope I can meet her soon”

 

Jongwoon smile

 

“She’s busy in school, maybe some other day you can visit us in our condominium”

 

“She’s so lucky to have you”

 

“Let’s reverse it; I am lucky to have her. She’s very understanding and such a loving wife”

 

“I’ve heard the news about you giving up your being a superstar for her”

 

Jongwoon nod

 

“I need to and she already give up everything for me. I need to do the same to protect her. It’s my own decision, she was sad when she heard about it. But I never regret it, I’m actually happy that nobody is chasing me anymore. I can enjoy privacy and I’m happy being a business tycoon”

 

“I bet your mom is really proud of you”

 

Jongwoon bows his head and smile weakly

 

“I really hope Appa is proud of me”

 

Yuri look at her with sad face

 

“You’re not yet ok with your dad?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“The tension between us is still the same. No matter how many achievements that I’ve got, he’s not proud of me and he only sees all my mistakes”

 

“But at least try to talk to him”

 

Jongwoon smile weakly

 

“I guess things will never change between us. He will always see me as his arrogant, shameful and hard headed son and I will always see him as a very cruel dad. Umma told me not to mind him everytime he’ll argue with me, but I can’t do that because I also need to defend myself. Umma is always proud of me and understand me, but I can’t understand why Appa is always mad at me and there’s always a tension between us everytime we met”

 

“You just need to talk with him”

 

“I don’t know”

 

Jongwoon look at his watch and stare at Yuri

 

“I’m really sorry Yuri, I want to spend more time with you but I need to go now. I still have meeting later”

 

Yuri smile

 

“It’s ok; it’s nice to see you again. Thank you for coming”

 

“Take care and best wishes on your wedding day”

 

Jongwoon smile and left

 

 

 

 

*CONDOMINIUM*

 

 

Jongwoon arrive at home at two in the morning, he went inside their room carefully. He saw Ryeowook sitting on her study table while busy doing her school works

 

“She’s still awake”

 

Jongwoon sigh, he smile while watching her

 

“Aish! Kim Ryeowook why are you so stupid nowadays? It’s not sol its la, are you blind? Its Alto clef not Tenor clef, what the hell is happening to you?”

 

Ryeowook hit her head; she looks at their wedding picture and grabs it

 

“I hope Jongwoon and I can marry each other again on our next wedding anniversary, so that he will flash his bright smile and he won’t pretend that he’s happy”

 

Ryeowook sigh and put the picture back on the table, she smile at the other picture; it was Jongwoon’s picture during his pictorial, she grabs it and kissed it

 

“I love you so much hubby”

 

Ryeowook look at her watch

 

“It’s already two in the morning and you’re not yet here. You suppose to call and inform me that you will go home late again”

 

Ryeowook pouts while staring at his picture

 

“I’m sure that you’re tired because of work and I hope that you’re not skipping meals again, you don’t want to be thin like me right? Anyway listen to me Kim Jongwoon”

 

Ryeowook look at the picture closer; Jongwoon was laughing softly while watching her at the corner

 

“I love you, can you hear me?”

 

Jongwoon nods

 

“I can clearly hear you babe”

 

Jongwoon whisper while watching her

 

“Going straight to the point hubby…”

 

Ryeowook hold her tummy while staring at him

 

“I wish we could have baby soon, so please do your best to impregnate me, arasso. But I really don’t know because no matter what happen though you try all your best, if I’m having a condition like this it will be impossible for us to have a baby so soon. I’m sure you’re already disappointed with me. I just hope you don’t leave me because of that, but you don’t have to worry. I’m going to try my best to be pregnant too but you need to help me, arasso”

 

Ryeowook take a deep breath

 

“I hope you will come home early, so it won’t be hard for me to wait for you everyday, but I understand. I’m really excited for our vacation, thank you for giving me your time, though it’s just for one month but at least your attention will only focused on me and nothing else ok”

 

Ryeowook smile brightly

 

“I’m going to finish my homework now. I don’t want to give you head ache. Your eyes will be big again if ever I get a low grades and you’ll scold at me again. You’re really scary when you’re scolding me”

 

Ryeowook smile

 

“I never give you head ache because I’m such a good girl. I never waste your money too because I always study hard and give you high grades. Don’t worry, I just pay you when I already graduate or if you want I can give you my bank account so the next time you went in Beijing or Shanghai you can withdraw money in my account”

 

Jongwoon bite his lips, controlling his laughter

 

“So childish, do you really think I’m going to let you pay me? You’re my wife and that’s why I’m working to give you good life and of course our future child”

 

Jongwoon smile, Ryeowook put his picture on the table

 

“I’m going to finish my homework now because I want to sleep already; I hope you will be home in a minute”

 

Ryeowook hold the picture again and put it back on the table making the picture facing at her, she smile brightly

 

“That’s right you have to look at me and your eyes are only allowed to look at me”

 

Ryeowook return to her school works. Jongwoon walk carefully towards her and give her a back hug

 

“OMO, you scared me”

 

Jongwon kissed her cheek and smile

 

“Why are you still awake?”

 

“I’m doing my homeworks”

 

“You’re doing your homeworks or you’re waiting for me?”

 

“Both”

 

Jongwoon raised his eyebrow

 

“Babe, how many times do I have to tell you not to wait for me?”

 

“But I’m not yet finish doing my homework”

 

“Yeah right, you’re doing it on purpose so you have a reason to wait for me. You can actually finish it within two hours, but you choose to do it for a long time so you can wait for me”

 

Ryeowook frowns

 

“I can’t sleep without you”

 

“But at least try. I’m not always here for you. What if I went in other country because of business meetings and partnership and I should leave you alone? Don’t tell me you’re not going to sleep all day because I’m not here”

 

“I’ll come with you”

 

“That’s a big no no babe, not all the time you can come with me”

 

Jongwoon kissed her lips

 

“I’ll have warm shower for thirty minutes and when I’m done, we’re going to sleep ok. So finish that thing now”

 

“Ok”

 

Jongwoon went to the bathroom; Ryeowook work on her homeworks again while waiting for him. She lay on bed after finishing her homework; Jongwoon went out wearing his pajamas and lay beside his wife

 

“Babe, I’m going to tell you something”

 

Jongwoon brush his fingers on her face

 

“Yuri and I met awhile ago”

 

Ryeowook just stare at him

 

“Well she wants to see me”

 

“Then?”

 

“We have a normal conversation and she wants to see you”

 

“I see”

 

“She’s inviting us on her wedding, but we’re in France at that time. I told her that we can’t attend and tell her that you guys can meet each other next time”

 

Ryeowook sit and look at him

 

“What really happen between you and Yuri?”

 

Jongwoon take a deep breath

 

“She’s my first love and the first girl who broke my heart and hurt me so badly”

 

“How do you know that she’s cheating on you?”

 

“I saw her kissing another man and she confess to me and told me that she’s not really serious in our relationship”

 

Jongwoon smile weakly

 

“I can’t understand why she did that to me. She knows how much I love her and I am willing to do everything for her, but still she cheated on me and makes me look like a fool. I already know that she’s cheating, but I keep on fooling myself that what I saw is just my imagination and the moment she confess to me that she’s having an affair with other man, that’s the only time that I admit to myself that I’m not dreaming and everything is true”

 

Ryeowook frown

 

“Then I don’t want to meet her”

 

“Why?”

 

“Because she hurts you. I don’t want to see her because I might end up hurting her when I remember the things that she did to you”

 

Jongwoon laugh

 

“You know babe, you’re really a kid”

 

Ryeowook smile

 

“Finally you laugh; I really thought that you’re going to cry because you became so serious all of a sudden”

 

Jongwoon stare at her and hug her tight

 

“It hurts me seeing her again and I lie for telling her that I actually forget everything about us, but the truth is, it still hurts”

 

“Then you can cry now if that’s the case. Don’t worry; I’m going to cry with you”

 

“YAH! Of course I’m not going to cry because you’re here with me”

 

“Come on don’t be shy, real men cry ok”

 

Jongwoon kiss her

 

“I know, what I mean is my life is happy because you’re here with me so there’s no reason for me to cry. I’ve cry a bucket of tears for her before. I beg for her not to leave me, but nothing happens. From then on, I put in my mind that there’s no such thing as serious relationship and everything is just for fun, including girls. Umma try her best to change my belief, but she fails because for me girls are toys as much as they think that boys are also toys, and can’t be serious in a relationship”

 

Ryeowook pouts while looking at him

 

“Excuse me. I don’t think that way, not all the gir—“

 

Jongwoon kissed her lips and smile at her

 

“Because you’re different, you’re my angel. I never believe in a serious relationship and true love, but since you came in my life everything change because of you. You show me what love is, that’s why I learn how to love unconditionally and you make me realize that not all girls are like Yuri, and girls are really not a toy. You love me so much even though you don’t know me that well, and even though I keep on hurting you, you never give up on me and you keep on loving and accepting me for who I am”

 

Ryeowook hold his face

 

“You will always be my husband no matter what happen. When I marry you, I already accept that we’re going to leave on one roof. I told myself that it should be forever. So no matter how you fail and hurt me, I still love you because you’re everything in my life and beside you can no longer escape from me because you are bound to love me forever, whether you like it or not”

 

Jongwoon smile

 

“Of course I love it”

 

“To be honest Jongwoon, it’s not hard to love you though you always scold at me, you have a very short temper and gets mad at me easily and your eyes are getting big when you’re mad…I can bear all of that because I love you and because you’re sweet and really a loving person, and the most important thing is you’re always there for me”

 

Ryeowook kissed him

 

“Everything is back to normal, the only thing that is lacking is our baby and we live as one big happy family”

 

“Big? We’re just three plus Dabong”

 

“It’s still big”

 

“Now we need to set our new goal and that is to have a baby soon”

 

“Fighting”

 

Ryeowook smile

 

“We need to sleep now; I still need to wake up early”

 

Jongwoon shook his head and laid her on the bed

 

“I thought our goal is to have a baby, why are you escaping with me again?”

 

“I’m not escaping hubby”

 

Jongwoon lay on top of her and kissed her gently

 

“But I really have class later”

 

“Your class will start at one in the afternoon”

 

“You have work later”

 

“I can go to work after I drop you to school”

 

Jongwoon smile

 

“Can we just do it on our vacation?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“No”

 

“Hubby, please”

 

Jongwoon give her a long sweet kiss before lying beside her

 

“Arasso, good night babe; Saranghae”

 

Ryeowook hug him

 

“Saranghae Jongwoon”

 

She slowly close her eyes and sleeps peacefully on his arms
