CHAPTER 61

 

Ryeowook came down with her twins and saw Kibum waiting at the living room. Henry and Sulli run towards him.

 

“Uncle”

 

Sulli sits on his lap while Henry sits beside him and gives Kibum a hug

 

“Are we going now?”

 

“Of course Henry, we’re going at the amusement park then we shall go to Disneyland on Wednesday. We’re really sorry that we need to cancel our Disneyland trip today”

 

Henry and Sulli smile at him

 

“It’s ok Uncle. We understand that you and mama are busy for your wedding next week”

 

“I am excited to be the flower girl and then I will wear my gown, right uncle?”

 

Kibum smile and hold her face

 

“Of course baby, you will be the most beautiful flower girl on earth”

 

“Because I am mama’s daughter”

 

“No wonder, and of course you’re mama Chullie’s granddaughter that’s why”

 

Henry looks at Kibum while smiling

 

“But you have to promise us that we are really going in Disneyland on Wednesday, or else Sulli and I will be mad”

 

Kibum nod

 

“Ok baby, I promise. We just need to cancel it today because we need to go to our designer to fit our clothes that we’re going to wear on our wedding day”

“Yes Henry?”

 

Henry stands on the sofa and looks at him closer; Ryeowook was standing on the stairs while watching them happily

 

“Just to make things clear, because Sulli and I keep on wondering about it”

 

Kibum smile at him

 

“What?”

 

“If you and mama are getting married, it means that you’re going to be our father?”

 

Kibum nod

 

“You don’t want?”

 

“It’s not what I mean Uncle, shhhh, do not talk because Han Henry is still talking”

 

Kibum smile and nods at him

 

“Sulli and I just want to clarify if we shall call you ba ba”

 

Kibum laughs softly

 

“Is that it?”

 

Henry and Sulli nod at him

 

“Well, it’s up to you if you want to call me that”

 

Sulli smile at Henry

 

“Henry and I talk about it we shall call you…”

 

“Uncle Appa, so we won’t we be confuse between you and our real father”

 

“It’s ok”

 

Henry and Sulli hug him

 

“Shall we go now, or we’re just going to stay here?”

 

The twins shook their head and run outside, Ryeowook smile at Kibum and give him a kiss

 

“I’m really sorry baby, my twins are so naughty”

 

Kibum wrap his arm on her waist

 

“It’s ok, kids are like that and besides Henry and Sulli are such sweet and adorable kids. They will be my children when we get married and I love them”

 

“Xie xie”

 

“Let’s go baby. I bet those two are already waiting inside the car”

 

Ryeowook hold on to his hand as they went outside

 

 

 

 

 

*AMUSEMENT PARK*

 

 

After fitting their gowns and tuxedos that they are going to wear at the upcoming wedding, Kibum and Ryeowook went at the amusement park with Henry and Sulli

 

“We’re finally here Henry”

 

Henry was carrying his blue back pack as he walks towards his sister and taps her shoulder

 

“Sulli, you need to catch me”

 

Henry stuck his tongue out and run as fast as he can. Sulli just watch him, Henry stops and shout at her

 

“SULLI, THE EVIL MONSTER WHO EATS A LOT, IS FINALLY HERE! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! UNCLE APPA AND MAMA YOU NEED TO RUN NOW OR ELSE SHE WILL EAT YOU ALIVE”

 

Henry laughs while looking at his sister who suddenly blushes because of anger. He start running again when Sulli runs to catch him

 

“HENRY, I REALLY HATE YOU”

 

“CATCH ME IF YOU CAN SULLI”

 

Kibum start to run to play with them

 

“YOU NEED TO INCLUDE ME TOO”

 

Henry stops and waits for Kibum but instead of walking towards him, Kibum walks towards Sulli and carry her on his arm

 

“Let’s go Sulli and chase your brother”

 

Henry stares at them with wide eyes

 

“OMO that’s unfair. Mama you need to come with me; they will eat me alive”

 

Henry run towards Ryeowook and hold her hand, dragging her with him

 

“Henry, please stop and don’t run”

 

“We need to run or else they will catch us”

 

“But I don’t want to run”

 

Henry ignores his mother and keeps dragging her, but Kibum and Sulli catch them in an instant. Henry frowns at his mother

 

“Mama, it’s your fault that they catch us. Now we lose”

 

“Henry baby, you know that I’m not good in running”

 

“Aish! You just don’t want to run”

 

Kibum smile and kiss Henry’s cheek

 

“It’s ok baby, let’s ride the merry go round?”

 

Henry nods happily

 

“Then after that we go and ride the roller coaster?”

 

Kibum shook his head

 

“That ride is not for kids”

 

Henry pouts

 

“But I want to ride the roller coaster”

 

“Maybe when you grow up you can ride the roller coaster”

 

“So I need to eat and sleep a lot?”

 

Kibum smile at him and carry him on his arms

 

“You talk a lot like Umma”

 

Henry smiles at him

 

“I’m going to be famous someday. I’m going to be a good violinist and because I am talkative like Teukie Umma”

 

“Being a good violinist is fine just don’t be so talkative like her”

 

Kibum smile brightly, Ryeowook carry Sulli on her arms as they walk towards the merry go round and ride on it with the twins who keeps on smiling, enjoying the ride. After riding the merry go round Henry holds his sister’s hand as they start running again and playing with Kibum. Ryeowook just sit on the bench and watch them. Kibum look at her while smiling, before joining her on the bench

 

“Why are you sitting here? You suppose to join us”

 

Ryeowook shook her head and smile

 

“I’m already tired, they run so fast and my feet are already aching”

 

Kibum frown at her

 

“Who told you to wear heels today?”

 

“I need to wear heels because I’m going to fit my wedding gown”

 

“I see”

 

Ryeowook lean on his shoulder

 

“Baby, I have something to tell you”

 

“Go ahead”

 

“It’s about Jongwoon”

 

Kibum look at Ryeowook who focus her eyes towards her kids

 

“What about Hyung?”

 

“Henry and Sulli want to see him”

 

Ryeowook smile weakly

 

“Then let them see Hyung”

 

She shook his head while staring at her kids sadly

 

“I don’t want to”

 

Kibum look at her and hold her face

 

“Baby, the twins need to see their father”

 

“Why do they need to see him?”

 

“Don’t take away their right to see their father”

 

“But you’re their father”

 

Kibum shook his head

 

“I am the one who stand as their father in the absence of Hyung, but we both know that Jongwoon Hyung is the real father of Henry and Sulli. No matter what happen, he also had the right towards. Please don’t be so cruel towards Henry and Sulli. If they want to see their father, then let them see him. You will never lose anything if you let them see Hyung, and beside do you think it’s about time that they meet their father after four years?”

 

Ryeowook stare at him sadly

 

“I’m not yet ready to see him”

 

“Let’s put it this way. After our honeymoon, I’m going to bring the kids in Seoul to see Hyung. Is that ok?”

 

“But”

 

“But what?”

 

“Is that ok with you?”

 

Kibum nod

 

“Of course it is. I’m doing this because I love Henry and Sulli. I know that they are longing for their father, so let them see Hyung. Henry and Sulli are Hyung’s children too, don’t be so selfish towards him”

 

“Why are you on his side?”

 

Kibum brush his nose from hers

 

“It’s not like that baby. I’m just being practical and you need to talk with Hyung to settle everything about the kids”

 

Ryeowook kiss his lips

 

“I don’t want to talk to him”

 

Kibum stare at her eyes

 

“I understand if you’re not yet ready, but you have to talk to him as soon as possible. Anyway, you can never avoid him”

 

“I’ll try”

 

“You need to do it”

 

Ryeowook frowns

 

“Maybe you’re telling me this because you don’t want to be the father of my twins”

 

Kibum sigh

 

“Don’t start it baby, you know that I love being their father. I’m just telling you to think about the situation of Henry and Sulli. They also need their father, though I will do my best to be a good dad for them but still, don’t take away their right towards Jongwoon Hyung”

 

“Let’s not talk about it ok”

 

Kibum kissed her

 

“Fine”

 

Sulli run towards them and smile

 

“Mama, Uncle Appa, can we eat ice cream?”

 

“Sure baby”

 

Sulli smile and run towards Henry

 

“Let’s go baby, our kids want to have ice cream”

 

Kibum hold Ryeowook’s hand and follow the twins inside the ice cream shop

 

 

 

 

 

*HAN’S MANOR*

 

 

Henry and Sulli went out of the car happily and drag their mother inside, leaving Kibum who start carrying their things and the shopping bags

 

“Mama, Sulli and I want to eat strawberry cake, can you make it now?”

 

“Sure baby, mama wi—“

 

Ryeowook’s tears start forming in her eyes while staring at the man who is sitting on the sofa, looking at them. Henry and Sulli stare at him with wide eyes as they smile at him

 

“BA BA”

 

Henry and Sulli shout in unison. Kibum went inside and was shock to see Jongwoon

 

“What are you doing here?”

 

Ryeowook ask him

 

“I’m here to see you and our kids”

 

Henry and Sulli smile brightly and was about to run towards him, but Ryeowook stop them

 

“Henry, Sulli, you need to go upstairs now”

 

Henry looks at her with teary eyes

 

“But mama its ba ba, he wants to see us”

 

“You go upstairs now”

 

Ryeowook was controlling her anger as tears keep on forming in her eyes. Sulli start to cry

 

“Mama, why are you so cruel? We want to hug ba ba. He’s here for us. Ba ba came for us”

 

Ryeowook look at her twins

 

“Henry, Sulli! I’m already mad at both of you! Please follow and go upstairs now, before I lose my temper towards you!”

 

They shook their head

 

“We don’t want mama. We want ba ba”

 

“Ba ba is here, why don’t you want us to hug him?”

 

Henry manages to escape from Ryeowook and he pulls Sulli as they run towards Jongwoon. He hugs them so tight, as tears start falling from his eyes. Ryeowook walks towards them and keeps on pulling her twins away from Jongwoon

 

“Go upstairs now”

 

“We don’t want!”

 

Jongwoon stare at her

 

“Wookie, please stop it”

 

She stares at her ex-husband seriously

 

“Shut up, they are my kids”

 

“But they are also my kids”

 

“No because you already abandon us, so let them go!”

 

Ryeowook carry Sulli on her arms as the girl keeps on crying. She calls the twins’ nannies and told them to bring Henry and Sulli to their room. Henry run towards Kibum and hug his leg

 

“Uncle Appa, please tell me mama that we want ba ba to stay”

 

Kibum kneel down and wipe Henry’s tears

 

“You go upstairs baby”

 

“But”

 

Kibum hold his lips and smile

 

“Shhh, I’ll talk to your mama about it ok”

 

“Are you sure?”

 

Kibum nod

 

“Yes”

 

Henry look at Jongwoon before holding his nannie’s hand and went to their room with Sulli. Ryeowook stare at Jongwoon

 

“Wookie, please let me be with them”

 

“No, you can never have them”

 

Kibum calm Ryeowook

 

“Baby, I think you need to let them see Hyung”

 

Ryeowook look at Kibum

 

“Bummie please don’t talk. This is my decision and I know what I’m doing, so please don’t try to meddle now”

 

“But Wookie, can’t you see that Henry and Su—“

 

“Shut up!”

 

Kibum sigh and look at Jongwoon

 

“I’m going to leave you for the meantime, so you can talk privately. I’ll just go upstairs to check Henry and Sulli”

 

Kibum went upstairs leaving Ryeowook and Jongwoon

 

“Wookie, please I’m begging you”

 

Jongwoon start to cry hard as he kneels in front of her, holding her hands, but Ryeowook push his hands away

 

“Don’t touch me”

 

“Babe, I’m begging you please comeback to me. I need you in my life”

 

“Go away!”

 

“No, please. Just listen to me, we need to talk”

 

Jongwoon keeps on begging her, Ryeowook look at him, tears start falling from her eyes

 

“Why do you need to show up? We don’t need you Jongwoon”

 

“Wookie, I need you. I’m sorry that I let go of you. I’m begging you, please don’t do this to me. Don’t marry my brother. I need you in my life and our kids”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“You abandon us because you choose Jessica. I try to talk to you, but you don’t listen. I beg in front of you. I kneel down and cry, but you never listen to me, and now you’re telling me that you need me? Jongwoon, you didn’t even care, so please go away and don’t you dare show your face in front of me”

 

Ryeowook push him away, but Jongwoon hug her tight

 

“Babe, please just give me another chance. I know that I made the biggest mistake. I want to do the right thing now, so please give me another chance”

 

“I always give you a chance Jongwoon, but the wound that you left is really deep and painful”

 

Ryeowook stare at him while her tears keep on falling

 

“Where are you when I needed you? Where are you when I was about to give birth and when your daughter’s life is at risk because of my fragile pregnancy? Where are you when your kids need you and crying because they want to see you, but I don’t know how? You left us because of Jessica. I told you that I’m willing to accept your child to her just don’t leave, but you still choose her over us”

 

“Jessica lie to me, that child is not mine, its Yonghwa”

 

Ryeowook stare at him blankly

 

“I just have a DNA test and Narim is not my daughter. Jessica already confesses. I’m really sorry babe, please I need you”

 

“You don’t need me”

 

“I love you”

 

Ryeowook didn’t answer

 

“Think about Henry and Sulli, they need a father and a family”

 

“They have a family and Bummie will be their father”

 

“But they are mine”

 

“You never recognize them”

 

“Because you didn’t tell me that you’re pregnant, and you hide them from me for four years”

 

Ryeowook slaps him

 

“Will you change your mind if ever I told you? You don’t even want to listen to me when I beg in front of you because you don’t even care. Will I change the situation if I tell you that I am carrying your child? No matter what I do, you will still leave me and you will end up hurting me more when I told you that I’m pregnant, because you will still choose Jessica because you love her and not me”

“You don’t love me! You’re the one who tell me that you don’t love me from the very start, and I am such a fool to believe that you love me”

 

Jongwoon hold her face

 

“What do you want me to do for you to go back to me?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“I don’t want to go back anymore. I already forget about you and Seoul! So please don’t disturb my life anymore!”

 

Ryeowook start to cry hard, Jongwoon hugs her

 

“Jongwoon, please let me fly. It will be hard for me to find my happiness if you will never let me go. You never heard anything from me when you choose Jessica. I let go of you though it’s hard for me. I give your freedom because you told me that you love her, and that you’re going to be happy if you will marry her. I give you to her because you don’t love me and I will be selfish if I will keep, you knowing that you love someone else and I do that for the sake of your child to her”

 

Jongwoon brush his lips on hers; Ryeowook didn’t protest

 

“But that’s not my child and that’s my mistake. I never listen to you and to Umma, so please Wookie. Please, I’m begging you. I really need you in my life and I want to be the father of Henry and Sulli. Please give me the chance…please”

 

Ryeowook hold his face between her hands

 

“I’m sorry, but I can’t do that. Jongwoon, please let go now. We’re over and no matter what you do, I’m not going back because I’m going to marry Kibum”

 

Jongwoon shook his head, tears keep on falling from his eyes as he stares at his ex-wife sadly

 

“Don’t do this to me, not my brother”

 

“I love him, so please give me my happiness. Let me fly and follow my happiness. This is my life and you’re no longer included. Please don’t disturb me anymore. You will just hurt me if you keep on insisting”

 

“Wookie”

 

“Jongwoon, I don’t want to see you anymore. I don’t…I don’t…love you anymore…so please go now. We don’t need to talk”

 

Ryeowook calls for her bodyguards

 

“Take this man away from me now!”

 

“Wookie please…no”

 

Ryeowook ignores him as her bodyguards drag him away

 

 

 

 

Hankyung and Heechul arrive at home and go straight to Mimi’s office to talk to them about what happen in the house while they are in their hacienda. Hankyung stare at his wife and mother seriously

 

“See, what I’m talking about? Both of you are so hard headed for letting him step in China. Look what happen, Li xu cries again and the situation is getting worse and the twins are mad to their mother”

 

Heechul remains quiet as she stares at Mimi

 

“Hannie ni bu lijie women” (Hannie you don’t understand us)

 

“Mama ni shi yige shui ye wufa lijie wo” (Mama you’re the one who can’t understand me)

 

Mimi stands and bangs her hands on the table. Heechul’s heart start beating fast, she feel so nervous because of the tension between her mother in law and her husband

“Mama, Li xu shi wo de nuer” (Mama, Li xu is my daughter)

Mimi takes a deep breath before continuing

Heechul holds Hankyung’s hand and try to stop him from answering his mother, but Hankyung just ignores her

“You’re just making your daughter suffer more”

Mimi can’t control her temper anymore; she walks towards her son and slaps him. Heechul’s eyes widened

 

“Mama, zai zheli women keyi tingzhi?” (Mama, can we stop here?)

Heechul bows her head and keeps quiet

 

“I never raise you to be stupid and hard headed Hannie”

 

Hankyung remains quiet

 

“Do you understand the stupidity of your action?”

 

Hankyung didn’t answer

Hankyung bows his head and sit beside Heechul whose hands are trembling because of nervousness. She holds Hankyung’s hand and sigh

 

“Please stop it honey”

 

Hankyung sigh and stare at his mother, whose eyes are focus on him

 

“You need to forgive Jongwoon and you have to realize that he make a mistake towards Li xu and not to you. I understand how you feel. I am a parent like you and it’s really hard to see our Li xu like that, but you need to understand the situation of Henry and Sulli”

 

Mimi stares at Heechul and Hankyung sadly

 

“They are also suffering from this situation and it’s so sad that they need to experience this conflict as such an early age. Hannie, you’re a father, and you must understand Jongwoon’s feelings right now. Judging by his situation now, I really can feel that he is suffering so much and really paying for what he did before. It’s also hard for him, because he didn’t know that he had children because Li xu never told him about it”

 

“Why are you defending him?”

I’m not telling you to cancel the wedding of Li xu and Bummie, because if she’s happy with him then let it be. Just do something to make Li xu forgive Jongwoon, so they can settle happily with their own life far away from each other, and they need to talk about their kids. Their plan for their kids. No matter what happen, Jongwoon is the father of Henry and Suilli and they need him too. Jongwoon have a right for them, so you don’t take that away”

 

“Mama, I don’t know what to do. I’m also confuse”

 

Mimi sighs and returns to her seat

 

“Li xu is the only one who can solve it. It’s really sad to know that she really needs to choose between Jongwoon and Kibum, but no matter what happen we need to be by her side. I really hope that this conflict will be over”

 

 

 

 

 

Heechul knocks at her daughter’s room. She opens it slowly and sees Ryeowook sitting on her bed while crying. Heechul hugs her tight

 

“My children are mad at me, why can’t they understand me?”

 

Heechul hold her face and wipes her tears

 

“Shhh, you have to understand them too. They long for their father for four years and you shouldn’t do that. You need to let them see their father”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“I don’t want mama. Jongwoon abandon them, so he don’t have the right towards our children”

 

“Li xu, you’re being selfish. You’ll make Jongwoon and your children suffer because of your selfishness”

 

“I hate him mama”

 

Heechul stares at her sadly

 

“I understand that it’s hard for you, but you need to move on. Maybe you’re not ye ready to see him because you still hate him, but learn to forgive and don’t punish your children because of your hatred to Jongwoon. Don’t let the kids carry the entire burden. They are innocent and they didn’t do anything, so don’t involve them here”

 

Ryeowook hugs Heechul

 

“Mama, I don’t know what to do”

 

Heechul her hair gently

 

“You need to talk to Jongwoon and settle everything before you marry Kibum, so you will have a civil relationship. Forgive each other for the sake of the kids. You don’t need to go back if you don’t want, you just let Henry and Sulli feel that their mother and father love them. That you and Jongwoon are ok, though you will marry other man, and you and Jongwoon are already separated”

 

“I don’t know”

 

“You have to understand that Henry and Sulli will make you connected to Jongwoon forever, because they are your living memory with Jongwoon. No matter how far you run away from Jongwoon, you can never erase the fact that he is the father of Henry and Sulli, and I know that until now you still love him”

 

Ryeowook stare at Heechul

 

“Mother always knows what is the best for their children. I know you so well Li xu. You may love Kibum, but your love for your ex- husband is still on top of your love for your best friend”

 

“Mama, please let’s not talk about it anymore”

 

Heechul cupped her face and smile at her

 

“At the end of the day you alone can make it happen. Li xu, you need to think and decide, but please do the right thing. Your decision will be the one that will change everything. That’s your life, walk on the right path and follow what your heart told you, so you can see your real happiness”

 

Heechul kissed her forehead

 

“Good night honey”

 

“Good night mama”

 

Heechul sing a sweet lullaby to put Ryeowook to sleep
