CHAPTER 18

 

Ryeowook was packing some of her things happily; Jongwoon went inside their room and watch her blankly.

 

“Jongwoon-ah, you need to pack your things too”

 

“Why?”

 

“Where going in Hawaii tomorrow, right?”

 

Ryeowook smile at him brightly, Jongwoon grab her luggage away and put it inside the cabinet

 

“Hey, what are you doing?”

 

“Mianhae, but I cancel our flight”

 

“Meaning, we’re not going to have vacation in Hawaii?”

 

Jongwoon nod

 

“Yes”

 

“Why?”

 

Ryeowook frown at him

 

“Because I have to attend a party tomorrow”

 

“Whose birthday is it?”

 

Jongwoon flick her forehead

 

“It’s not a birthday party. It’s a night out party at the bar; I’m going to have a party all night with my girls. I’m so excited; Jessica, Luna, and Taeyeon will be there and of course my other girls”

 

Jongwoon smile at her; Ryeowook stare at him as tears start forming in her eyes

 

“Don’t look at me like that”

 

“But it’s our vacation”

 

“I never want to have vacation with you, I just tell that to Bummie so he can leave early”

 

“But you promise me, yesterday is suppose to be our day, but you go out with Luna and now your cancelling our flight in exchange of your party with those girls”

 

“YAH! You’re being noisy again”

 

Ryeowook hold his arm

 

“Jongwoon-ah, please let’s go in Hawaii”

 

“If you want to go there then go ahead, no one wants to stop you. I’ll be happy if you leave because I can bring my girls here”

 

Ryeowook grab her pillows and walks towards the door

 

“I’m going to sleep in the other room, I hate you so much”

 

“Why are you so sensitive?”

 

“I hate you”

 

“I never love you alien girl. It’s fine with me if you sleep wherever you want, I really don’t care”

 

Jongwoon walks towards her and push her outside; Ryeowook went inside the guest room and sit at the corner and start crying.

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook was preparing her things to go to school; she wears her glasses, her eyes are swelling for crying all night. Jongwoon greet her with a smile, but Ryeowook ignores him

 

“I’ll drop you in school today”

 

“I can drive”

 

“Don’t be so hard headed wife”

 

Jongwoon grab her car key before she can reach for it. Ryeowook went inside the car and stays quiet along the way

 

“I’ll fetch you later”

 

Ryeowook just nod and went outside. She was walking on the hallway, Kibum runs towards her

 

“Why are you here? You’re supposed to be in Hawaii right?”

 

“Your brother cancels our flight”

 

“Why?”

 

Ryeowook’s tears start falling in her eyes; Kibum drag her in studio eleven so nobody will see her crying

 

“What’s wrong sweetie pie?”

 

“Jongwoon cancel our vacation because he’ll have a party with her girls later”

 

Kibum stare at her sadly

 

“I thought Hyung already change, but still…Mianhae Wookie, in behalf of my brother”

 

Ryeowook hug him as she cries hard

 

“I really can’t understand him Bummie, it hurts me so much but he doesn’t care. I hope he’ll treat me as his wife, or if not I just wish he’ll stop being a playboy, because it hurts me whenever he’s going out with other girls and if girls visit him at home just to flirt around with him”

 

“I’ll talk to him”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“Shhh its ok, it will make the situation worse. I don’t want you to fight with him because of me”
 

“But it hurts me seeing you like that”

 

“Bummie, I still can’t get the reason behind our marriage. Why did mama and ba ba let me marry him if they knew exactly that he’s such a playboy and arrogant being?”

 

Kibum shook his head

 

“I don’t know either”

 

“Why can’t you be my husband instead of him?”

 

Kibum sigh

 

“I really hope I can be your husband, but we both know that it can never happen”

 

“Bummie, it’s so painful but he don’t even care”

 

Kibum stare at her sadly, he doesn’t know what to say to make her smile again. He knew that Wookie feels so hurt at that moment. He holds her closer to him, and hugs her tight to comfort her.

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook was sitting at the bench near the school gate, Kibum saw her and sit beside her

 

“What are you doing here? It’s already eight in the evening; you need to go home now”

 

“I’m waiting for Jongwoon; he told me that he’ll fetch me today”

 

“I see, should I call him?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head

 

“Hyung needs to be here soon”

 

“It’s ok if you want to go home”

 

“But I can’t leave you alone”

 

Ryeowook manage to smile

 

“I’m fine, and you’ll fetch Umma in her office, right?”

 

Kibum hold his head

 

“OMO! I almost forgot, good thing you remind me or else Appa will kill me”

 

Ryeowook smile at him

 

“You better hurry or else you’ll be late”

 

“But”

 

“I’m fine don’t worry, Jongwoon will be here soon”

 

“Call me if you’re already home”

 

“Arasso”

 

Kibum kiss her forehead and run to his car. Ryeowook was watching the sky; she’s controlling her tears from falling. She looks at her watch it’s already nine in the evening, but Jongwoon is not yet there. She grabs her phone and dials his number

 

“Where are you?”

 

“I’m on my way to the party”

 

“You told me that you’re going to fetch me, right?”

 

“Really”

 

“I’m waiting for you; the school will be closed at eleven in the evening.”

 

“You just go home alone”

 

“But it’s already late at night”

 

“Nobody wants to a kid like you”

 

Ryeowook’s tears fall down on her eyes

 

“You suppose to tell me early so I ride with Bummie”

 

“Fine, I’ll be there, so please stop being noisy. You’re so irritating”

 

Jongwoon hang up, Ryeowook wipe her tears and wait for him

 

 

 

 

“What are we doing here?”

 

“I have a party to attend”

 

“I want to go home now”

 

“I’m afraid you can’t”

 

“Just drop me home, I’m tired already and I want to sleep”

 

“Aish! If I drop you home the party will be over”

 

Jongwoon drag Ryeowook inside the bar; Jessica, Luna and Taeyeon stare at her seriously

 

“Why do you need to drag this kid with you?”

 

Jessica told him while Jongwoon kisses her neck

 

“Nobody will fetch her”

 

“Then call your family driver or ask Bummie to fetch her”

 

“Appa will be mad at me if he finds out”

 

Jessica kisses his lips

 

“So you’re afraid with your Appa?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“Of course not. I just can’t handle his sermons, and Umma will be hysterical again”

 

“Let’s have fun now”

 

“Go ahead I need to talk to this alien first

 

Jongwoon kiss them one by one before turning his attention at Ryeowook

 

“You sit here and wait for me; we’re not going home until the party is over”

 

“But”

 

“Shut up and stop annoying me”

 

Ryeowook hold his hand

 

“Jongwoon don’t leave me alone, I’m scared”

 

“Whatever”

 

Jongwoon leave her sitting alone; Ryeowook’s phone suddenly rings

 

“Yeoboseo”

 

“Sweetie pie, why is it so noisy? Where are you?”

 

“Jongwoon and I are at the bar”

 

“I see, I just call to check if you’re alright. Umma is worried about you”

 

Kibum gives his phone to Teukie

 

“Baby, where are you?”

 

“I’m with Jongwoon at the bar”

 

“Are you ok?”

 

Ryeowook start crying

 

“Baby are you still there?”

 

Ryeowook calm herself so Teukie will not know that she’s crying

 

“Yes Umma, I’m fine don’t worry”

 

“Where is Jongwoon, I’m calling him, but he’s not answering his phone”

 

“He’s at the comfort room; I think he left his phone inside the car. I’ll just tell him that you call Umma”

 

“No need baby, I just want to call him to check if he already fetch you”

 

“I’m fine Umma, please don’t worry about me”

 

“Are you sure?”

 

Ryeowook nod sadly

 

“Yes, we’re going home later”

 

“Just give us a call if ever Jongwoon make stupid things”

 

“I will, Saranghae and please be home safe”

 

“Ok baby, Saranghae and go home soon. You still have class tomorrow”

 

“Yes Umma”

 

Ryeowook hang up; she was watching the people as they dance so wild. She keeps on looking for Jongwoon but he’s nowhere to be found. Ryeowook was sitting alone while crying because she’s mad at Jongwoon, and she feels so hurt knowing that he don’t even care about her, and because he kiss those girls in front of her. Ryeowook feel so scared when a group of drunken men sit beside her

 

“Hi beautiful lady, you look so fresh”

 

Ryeowook stand up so she can walk away, but one of the men grab her arm and pull her on the sofa

 

“Where are you going sweetheart?”

 

He starts kissing her cheek while the other man sit beside her and start holding her legs

 

“You have very nice legs”

 

“Please stop it…I’m just….just a school girl…please”

 

The drunken men laugh

 

“That’s nice, you’re still a it will be great”

 

“But”

 

Ryeowook push them away, but they are strong enough to hold her tight

 

“Let me go”

 

Ryeowook start to cry, one of the drunken men touches his lips and kiss her forcefully; Ryeowook slaps him hard

 

“She’s playing hard to get. I like it”

 

He pushes her on the sofa while his colleagues hold her hands and the other one holds her legs

 

“No, please I’m begging you…NO!!!!”

 

He start kissing her down to her neck and start ing her blouse

 

“JONGWOON!!!!”

 

Ryeowook keeps on shouting Jongwoon’s name; the drunken man covers

 

“Don’t worry honey, you’ll love it”

 

Ryeowook’s tears keep on falling from her eyes as he kiss her and touch her body. He removes her blouse revealing her white bra; he start her , Ryeowook close her eyes and cries so hard. She feels so weak and wants to die; Jongwoon is busy flirting with other girls while she’s being by other men. She can feel them touching her and removes her bra by force. She feels so helpless and scared. Ryeowook opens her eyes when he heard a sudden noise and was shock to find the man on top of her on the floor; he’s nose is bleeding and someone was hitting him hard over and over. It was Jongwoon, he was hitting the drunken men as the security stop him

 

“How dare you touch my wife!!!! I’m going to kill you”

 

The securities try to stop him, but Jongwoon is unstoppable. He keeps on hitting them as hard as he could.  He removes his shirt and let Ryeowook wears it. He holds her closer to him; he can feel her trembling because of fear and crying. He looks at the people who are staring at her

 

“If any news came out in public and any pictures or videos of my wife came out, I’ll send the one who is responsible to it at the jail. I’m serious, so don’t you dare messed with me.”

 

He carries Ryeowook and leaves the place

 

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook came out of the bathroom after taking a bath. She sits on the bed and wraps her hands around her knees while crying hard. Jongwoon came in carrying a glass of milk, he place it on the table and sit beside her. He kisses her forehead and hugs her tight

 

“Mianhae babe, it’s my fault”

 

Ryeowook keeps on crying

 

“I’m so stupid for bringing you at the bar with me, and for leaving you alone. I’m really going to kill those drunken men”

 

Ryeowook hug him tight

 

“I’m scared”

 

“I am here and I won’t allow someone to hurt you again”

 

“They try to me, they take away my bra and my blouse…and…and they start touching me”

 

Ryeowook keeps on crying as she trembles. Jongwoon hug her tight holding her close to him

 

“Shhh, don’t be scared, that will never happen again; nobody will hurt you anymore and I won’t allow it to happen again”

 

“Please don’t leave me again, please”

 

“I will never leave you again”

 

Jongwoon laid her on the bed gently, he her hair and wipe her tears

 

“You better sleep now, I know you’re tired. Don’t worry, I’ll be here”

 

Ryeowook nod, Jongwoon kiss her lips softly and stand. He was about to walk towards the sofa but Ryeowook hold his hand

 

“Please sleep with me”

 

Jongwoon was shock on what he have heard

 

“Please”

 

Jongwoon nod and carefully lay on the bed. Ryeowook move closer to him and hug him tight

 

“Don’t leave me, please stay by my side. I’m scared”

 

Jongwoon kiss her forehead and hug her tight

 

“I’m not going to leave you babe, I’ll be here by your side until you wake up. Sleep tight”

 

“Good night”

 

“Good night babe”

 

Jongwoon kiss her; Ryeowook stare at him and slowly close her eyes

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook wake up at around ten in the morning, she found herself lying alone on the bed; the room is quiet and there’s no sign of Jongwoon. Ryeowook’s tears start forming in her eyes, she sit on the bed and hug her pillow. She doesn’t even care if she’s already late for her class. She stares at the door blankly

 

“Jongwoon”

 

Ryeowook calls his name

 

“Jongwoon”

 

She calls for the second time

 

“Jongwoon”

 

It was the third time, but there’s still no sign of him, she bury her face on the pillow and start crying like a child. Jongwoon came in holding a tray of food and a newspaper

 

“Good morning my alien babe”

 

Ryeowook raise her head and stare at the owner of the voice, Jongwoon’s smile suddenly vanish seeing her crying

 

“What’s wrong?”

 

“I thought you left me”

 

“I won’t do that, I promise to stay by your side”

 

He sits beside her and put the tray on the bed and scans the newspaper that he was holding

 

“It’s good that they didn’t put any news about you, or else I’m really going to kill the press if they release it”

 

Ryeowook stare at him nervously

 

“Don’t be afraid babe; I’ll protect you from them”

 

“If mama and ba ba knew about it, they will surely get worried and mad at you. I don’t want that to happen”

 

“I’ll take the responsibility if they get mad at me, it’s my fault”

 

“But”

 

Jongwoon hold her lips

 

“Babe, it’s my fault that’s why you get in trouble, if they get mad at me I’ll accept it. I understand that they love you so much, they care for you, and they wouldn’t want you to be in trouble. I’m sure Appa will kill me if he finds out, but it’s ok. I am willing to accept the consequences of my action, and mind you Minnie will definitely be on hysterical mode”

 

Jongwoon kiss her

 

“You need to have breakfast now; mianhae, but I really don’t know how to cook. I just bring you some cereals, fruits and your milk”

 

Ryeowook smile at him

 

“Thank you hubby, this will be the greatest breakfast ever”

 

Jongwoon was happily feeding her but Ryeowook grabs the spoon away from his hand

 

“I can eat alone”

 

“Just let me take care of you alien babe”

 

Ryeowook pout

 

“I’m not sick”

 

“I know, I just want to feed you like a baby because you’re such a kid”

 

“YAH!”

 

Jongwoon kiss her cheek

 

“Just kidding, by the way before I forgot”

 

Jongwoon opens the drawer and show her two plane tickets

 

“We’re going In Hawaii today”

 

Ryeowook stare at him

 

“You don’t want?”

 

“Of course I want, but I still have class you know”

 

Joongwoon take a deep breath

 

“I already call the school, informing them that you need to be out for a week because we’re going on our second honeymoon”

 

“If that’s the case I won’t come with you”

 

Ryeowook stuck her tongue out

 

“Yah! I call mama Chullie to help me in asking permission to give you a leave for one week, because we’re going on a vacation. Mama is very happy and hoping that when we come back here in Seoul you’re already pregnant, so please don’t disappoint them”

 

“Do I really need to be pregnant?”

 

Jongwoon hold her hands

 

“You don’t want us to have a child?”

 

“It’s not like that, but it’s still early for planning a baby. It will be hard for me because I’m still studying”

 

“Then you’ll going to stop when you get pregnant, and continue when the baby is already 3 years old”

 

“What? But Jon-“

 

Jongwoon give her a warm kiss on her lips

 

“Shhh, you go now and pack your things and take a bath, or else we’re going to be late for our flight”

 

“Arasso”

 

Ryeowook sigh before going inside the bathroom
