Chapter 50: A bunch of haters & reporters
Ms Author- IdolWorries and uneasiness just filled me.
After leaving JaeJoong with the aggressive paparazzi, Hoya and I managed to successfully get away and we were on our way back to our dorm now. I was quite fidgety the instant JaeJoong was out of sight.
Reasons? Obviously, firstly, he had to deal with those paparazzi that asked questions like flooding water. Who would like that? Secondly, his reputation was a stake. Reputation could cost an artist’s life! Thirdly, and the main point was that I was the main cause to this problem!
“Kyung Me?” Hoya reached out his hands for mine that lay on my lap. My hands grabbed hard on the smart phone that might crack any time under force.
“Neh?” I answered in a shaky voice.
“Are you worried about him?” Hoya’s expression pained to admit the truth. I did make me guilty for showing my emotions.
“I’m sorry,” I gazed down at his hands that still held onto mine. I couldn’t bear to face him.
“Don’t be, it’s normal for you guys to be like that. I totally could get my head around the whole girlfriend, boyfriend idea.” Hoya gave a convincing smile.
“But, I’m not, oppa. I am just nobody who just ruined a super star’s life and I am the murderer of his career!” I said in exasperation.
“Do you know what you are saying? What have you been thinking all these while, Kyung Me? Tell me, do you love him?”
“I...” I didn’t know what to answer him. The confusion in my head was blocking out all my thoughts.
“From what I see,” Hoya turned, staring directly at me. “You do, Kyung Me. You have to realise that more than anything else. Not that I siding him, I hate to say that he do care for you. You are not just nobody to him. He didn’t think that you are his burden, and definitely did not blame you for everything. If he did, I would have bashed him up at the hospital.”
Hoya gave a comforting grin. I tried to smile at him.
“Kyung Me,” Hoya my hair like a kid. “Follow yourself because you already have an answer in you.”
His words were so convincing, so comforting. I knew I could trust him on this. He’s my best bud and like a brother to me. There was no reason to doubt him.
“Hmmm... guys? I hate to break the conversation, but look outside.” I jumped, totally forgot about the existence of Manager oppa. I gazed out, following Manager oppa’s instruction. As soon as we drove up to our dorm, a crowd of fans mixed with paparazzi flocked around the car.
“Oh no...” I groaned, when could I be free of them?
“Hoya, I’m sorry that I’m supposed to protect you and Kyung Me. But...” manager oppa turned his head, facing us.
“I know what to do, Hyung.” Hoya gave a pat on Manager oppa’s shoulder.
“But...” I started to protest.
“Don’t worry, like you trust him. Put your faith in me,” Hoya smiled, holding onto my hand tightly. I nodded. This is war! Manager Oppa got off the car with difficulty. Fans and reporters pushed their way through.
“Ready?” Hoya asked, gripping my hands tighter. I nodded stiffly, taking a deep breath. Manger Oppa slide open the door forcefully, leading Hoya and I off the car. As expected, another wave of questions that was shouted out. I squirmed in the chaos, not knowing what to do.
Manager oppa was trying to open up a road that leaded to our dorm. Hoya gripped tight on my shoulder, afraid that I would be attacked any time. His protection made me feel safe and secure. I knew I was going to be alright in his hands. I would be. With all our might, we squeezed through the crowd.
“Are you dating Kim JaeJoong?”
“How dare you steal our JaeJoong?”
“You don’t deserve him!”
“How long have you guys been dating?”
“Just die! You don’t deserve to live!”
That last hateful comment scarred my heart; tore it into bits and pieces.
