Chapter 21: Sasaeng Fans
Ms Author- Idol
“Huh?” I gapped at him.
“You seemed to be a different person than you are on stage.” JaeJoong answered simply.
“Oh,” I said in relief. Luckily that was what he was asking. “You’re also different from your stage appearance.”
He chuckled lightly. Out of the blue, flashes of light shot through the room. JaeJoong frowned, staring at the window. He mumbled something, going over to the balcony. Peeking for a few seconds, he closed all the curtains swiftly. I stared at him the whole time, unable to understand his actions.
“Sorry,” He apologized and saw me staring.
“No, it’s okay. Just a little curious,” I shrugged.
“Sasaengs fan,” JaeJoong mumbled, not wanting to mention any about the controversy. I nodded, knowing the down side of celebrity’s life – lack of privacy.
“You have to stay here for today, I’m sorry.” JaeJoong was still looking over at the window, as if to observe his prey.
“Eh?! Do I have to?” I asked in shock.
“Or you can stay up for the night till they are gone, which is around 4,5am in the morning.” JaeJoong shrugged.
“But I need my rest!”
“Sleep here then,”
I sighed, this guy was hopeless. Noting could go through his brain other than his own words.
“Alright, fine.” I grimaced. JaeJoong gave a little grin on his face. Then his sight left mine again, shifting his focus on the window.
“Are you alright?” I asked in concern. His expression seemed very disturbed.
“Yeah…” He nodded absentmindedly.
“Are they always like this?”
“The fans are just 24hours around, intruding my life. I tried to scold them, scare them away, and talk it out with them. They just don’t leave. I don’t know how to deal with them anymore. I’m just tired.”
His sudden confession of worries made me wordless. He still had this side to him, the sentimental one. I couldn’t help but to pity him. Somehow, I could also understand him, relate to his life of celebrity. Though I was just a newbie, but sometimes things that fans do could be insane.
“It’s late, let’s get some sleep.” JaeJoong suddenly stood up, heading back to his room.
“Neh,” I mumbled a yes. Was I just going to sleep here?
“Don’t you want to sleep?” JaeJoong popped his head out from his room.
“Huh?”
“Come’ on in the guest room.”
“Neh~” I put down the mug and scrambled towards the guest room.
“Sorry, this place hasn’t been cleaned for awhile.” JaeJoong flickered on the lights in the guest room.
“It’s okay,” I glanced into the room. It was relatively neat for a house that lacked of housekeeping.
“Rest well.” JaeJoong left, closing the door. I hadn’t even had the chance to say a word of thanks.
Good night, weirdo.
