For the next few days, I had not much time to think about Hoya. The hectic schedule did not leave any room for resting. Other than my usual schedule, I had to practice, perfecting all my dance moves. Keeping occupied with writing was also an important task. The deadline was near.

After the night JaeJoong hung up my call, he did not call thereafter. I was a little disappointed when he did not return the call. Hoya did not try to contact me thereafter the confession. Seeing him these days was hard too. 

"Here," Manager oppa handed me cup of warm water and two pills of Panadol. I sat on my chair,Hero chewing his toy on my lap.

"Thanks," I gobbled down the pills. Life for me now drained me mentally and physically and my body couldn't take it anymore. 

"Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital?" Manager looked at me worriedly.

"I'm fine," I smiled weakly. My head was throbbing and burning. But, today's recording was for a unique cause - raise funds for animal society. Celebrities with pets were invited to perform at this concert, which of course include JYJ, who owned a few cats themselves.

"Alright, then let's go rehearsal," Manager oppa helped me off the chair. I stood weakly on my feet, holding on to Hero. I must hang on. I must...

"Kyung Me?" JaeJoong's voice could be heard from the hall way. I looked up at him, smiling. Somehow, his appearance made my day a little better. Hero too, excited seeing JaeJoong. JaeJoong greeted politely at Manager oppa. 

"Hey, you look very pale. Fever?" JaeJoong placed his hands softly on mine. It was as if I wasn't feeling burnt up enough, his touch just made it worst.

"Wow, you definitely need the hospital." JaeJoong commented. 

“It’s okay. I’ll need to go rehearsals now.” I waved bye before he could stop me any further. I staggered my way slowly to the back stage. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes. Kyung Me, stay with me till the end of this performance. Focus! Concentrate! Fighting!

The staff cued me on stage to do my rehearsal as the previous singer stepped down. I bowed deep in greeting her, a senior. As I positioned myself on the stage, I plugged in my headset, monitoring my own voice.

I faced the empty concert hall, the familiar place.

“In 1, 2, cue!” Instructions came through the headset. I raised up my microphone, waiting for the music to start.

BAM! CRASH!

Pieces of glass shattered onto the floor; Sparks shot off the end of the wires. I stood rooted, as the lighting fixture came crashing down from the ceilings. The electric slashed me on my shoulders as it fell. The lighting fixture missed me by an inch, split into pieces beside me.

I swallowed HARD.

What happened seemed like a life and death encounter. Who wouldn’t be terrified? I clenched tightly on my microphone, knuckles popped out of my skin, stopping myself from trembling. A pair of strong hands pulled me out of the way as staff rushed forward to the crime scene.

“Kyung Me! Kyung Me!” JaeJoong’s voice rang in my ears. I turned my head slowly. His expression torn, heart ache showed on his face. He wrapped me around with his arms, securing me inside his own protective zone.

“Are you alright?!”

“Are you hurt?!”

“We are so sorry!”

“Clean up right now!”

“What are you doing, lighting man?!?!?!”

Those sentences buzzed in my ears, only one caught my attention.

“I’m here, so breath, Kyung Me. Breath,”
