Chapter 26: Hearing Hoya
Ms Author- Idol
Ding Dong! Ding Dong!
Who’s that? The dorm was absolutely quiet. Manager Oppa had gone to the company to settle some business and discuss about my job. My schedule only starts in the evening. So, I had some time for writing. Who was it to disturb my peaceful moment?
Ding Dong! Ding Dong! Ding Dong! Ding Dong!
The bell rang more urgently.
“Coming!” I threw the pen down, heading towards the door.
“Who is it?” I asked, curious of the sudden visitor. I opened the door and found Hoya stood there.
“Oppa? Are you alright?” I asked in concern. He was fuming, breathing deeply.
“Oppa?” I stepped out of the door, trying to get a closer look. Hoya gazed up from the ground, his eyes softened once he met mine. Grabbing my wrist, he pulled me into his embrace. I wasn’t quick enough to respond to such sudden movement.
“Let me stay like this for awhile.” Hoya whispered lightly.
“Ne…h,” I stuttered a little. It seemed that he needed comfort. Slowly, I moved my hands up. Gently, I patted his back. Everything would be fine, oppa, everything. We stood there, unmoving. Till our breaths synced, till our heart beat matched.
“Do you feel better now?” I asked softly.
“Neh, I’m sorry.” Hoya apologized.
“It’s alright. Come on in,” I invited him into the dorm. We both entered into the dorm, he settled on the couch.
“Here you go,” I handed him a cup of water, joining him on the sofa.
“Thanks,” Hoya took over the cup, taking in a sip.
“Can you tell what happened?” I asked carefully, not wanting to offend him.
“I had a fight with Myung Soo.” Hoya confessed with his head down.
“Why? Was it because of my messages?”
“I confronted him, asking what he said to you. He spoke in a manner that I wasn’t very pleased with. He told me you would betray me and all those rubbish about JaeJoong. So, I ended up punching him in the face.”
“Oppa…” I reached out for his hands.
“Look, I went over to JaeJoong because I was caught in the rain. He insisted I should stay at his house for shelter. His sasaeng fans showed up and I had to stay for the night. I don’t know what misunderstanding Myung Soo oppa has of me. But, I would never ever do things that would harm you and the guys.”
“I know, I know it perfectly,” Hoya looked up at me, torn up. “That’s why I couldn’t understand Myung Soo.”
“Myung Soo oppa probably just needs an explanation.” I tried to ease the tension in him.
“Probably…” Hoya said, already regretting.
“You owe him an apology too,”
“I do.” Hoya gazed up at me, his expression reflected guilt.
I squeezed his hands, giving an encouraging smile.
