Fall for You

Fall For You

Graduation day had snuck up behind Mingyu, catching him off guard and very much asleep by the time his hyungs had decided that they were going to get ready at his place. His alarm for the day hadn’t even rang when Soonyoung had jumped on him, effectively waking him better than any alarm could.

“What? What? Did we have something planned for today?” Mingyu asked confusedly as he took in the sight of his hyung bouncing by the foot of his bed.
Soonyoung stopped bouncing, tilting his head as he stared at the younger. “Oh, you really don’t know. Wow. Mingyu, do you know what today is?”
“It’s Friday?” Mingyu replied dumbly.
“Yes, it is. It’s also the hyungs’ graduation day.” Soonyoung said slowly, enunciating each word.
“Oh.” Mingyu said, blinking as he thought about it. He shrugged. “Okay so I forgot. That doesn’t explain why you’re here though?”
“Where else would we get ready?” Soonyoung asked, looking genuinely confused about the matter.
Mingyu fixed him a leveled stare before lying back down and pulling the blanket on top of him. “It’s too early for this.”

He could hear Soonyoung laughing, getting off the bed with the promise of bringing Jihoon in later to wake him up instead. Mingyu waved him off and closed his eyes, trying to go back to sleep or maybe to wake up. He wasn’t sure which was which.

After a good few minutes of just staring at the underside of his blanket, Mingyu groaned, accepting that maybe this was his reality. He threw the blanket off of him, pattering out to the kitchen. He saw Soonyoung and Jihoon bent over a pot, stirring something that smelled absolutely delicious before he took a seat across Jisoo.

“Look who’s finally up.” Junghan teased.
Mingyu groaned. “Why are all of you here? I don’t remember agreeing to anything today.”
“Soonyoung said you didn’t even know what day it was today.” Jisoo said playfully. “I have to say I’m hurt, Gyu.”
“I was busy with stuff!” Mingyu argued, knowing it was pointless.
“I’ll let Wonwoo know you call him stuff.” Soonyoung piped in.
“I seriously regret the day I introduced him to you guys. He’s starting to tease me even more now as well. You’re such a bad influence to him.” Mingyu complained.
Jihoon snickered. “You use Soonyoung to indirectly ask Wonwoo stuff, you ingrate.”
“And if he doesn’t want to answer, you get me to ask Hansol.” Jisoo added.
“Or Jun too.”Junghan finished.
“I hate all of you.” Mingyu groaned, slumping down to the table.
“Aww, we love you too, magnae.” Jisoo crooned, pinching Mingyu’s cheek.

The rest of them laughed when Mingyu made an indignant sound at being called the magnae, pushing Jisoo’s hand away. Mingyu had a feeling that he was being made fun of on purpose but even if he tried, he couldn’t find it in himself to really be offended. He felt like he had to drink in all these moments that they have all together. The truth of Junghan and Jisoo's graduation was slowly sinking in and it made his chest feel heavy all of a sudden.

"No one is going to cry later, okay?" Junghan said firmly.
Soonyoung paused in setting up the table to look at their eldest. "Hyung, I seriously doubt you're not going to cry later."
"And why not?" Jisoo asked in a high pitched tone.
Jihoon and Soonyoung exchanged looks. "Uh, because Junghan hyung gets overly emotional at this kind of events?" Soonyoung said uncertainly.
Jihoon raised an eyebrow. "What's your deal, hyung?"
Jisoo laughed nervously. "N-nothing. Just... I don't want to see my angel cry?"
"Is that a question or a statement?" Mingyu asked but it was drowned by Junghan's giggles.
"That's so sweet, love." Junghan exclaimed. "I promise not to cry too much, okay?"
"Yeah, good."Jisoo cleared his throat. "Anyway, let's eat! We haven't tasted Soonyoung's cooking in a while."
Mingyu laughed. "From just simply ramen to real food. Power of love, really."
"Well, I wasn't going to letJihoon and I starve." Soonyoung argued, smiling brightly. "Though it did work out in the end somehow."
"I only asked mom to teach me basic recipes; don't get excited. We might have to rely on your chef for a while longer." Jihoon said as he placed the food in the middle of the table.
"What chef? We're going to live through your meals alone." Soonyoung protested.
"I hope you like omelets everyday then."
"If it's from you, then I love them."
Mingyu pinched Soonyoung's cheek, glaring at him slightly. "Enough with the sappy things, please. You're ruining my appetite."
"Then call Wonwoo and flirt with each other here." Jihoon suggested, pulling Soonyoung to the vacant seat next to him.

At the mention of the other's name, Mingyu's lips curved upward on their own. Even just hearing Wonwoo's name these days was enough to make him feel light and happy. Mingyu quickly got up, muttering some nonsense before making his way to his room, grabbing hisphone from the table. Another smile lit up his face when he saw that there was already a message from Wonwoo.

"Man, you are so whipped for Wonwoo."
Mingyu dropped his phone in surprise, whipping his head quickly to the door as he gave Soonyoung a slight glare. "Do not creep up on me like that, hyung!"
"I didn't creep up on you. I just didn't knock." Soonyoung stuck out his tongue. "Anyway, time to eat! Lover boy can wait."
"That's such a lame nickname." Mingyu complained but got up to follow Soonyoung to the kitchen.
"What? And cute, cute, cute Wonwoo isn't?"
"Hyung!"
--
Mingyu had volunteered to wash the dishes since his guests had already cooked their food. The others had thanked him before announcing that they were going to start getting ready. The youngest had just hummed in response, focusing on the task on hand instead. What he didn't expect was how frantic everyone was about the event.

"This is so weird." Mingyu muttered as he watched Jisoo go back and forth his room, picking up ties only to throw them on the floor in the next second.
Soonyoung laughed. "I guess even our great and composed hyung can have moments of disarray like this."
Mingyu eyed the mess of ties on his bedroom floor and the other clothes littered on his bed."I can't believe the four of you dragged all of your clothing choices all the way here. How many arms do you guys have?"
"Jihoon and I rode my car so it wasn't that much of a hassle? Besides, I'm just going to change my shirt with that." Soonyoung pointed to the checkered polo and dark blue shirt hanged on Mingyu's cabinet door. "Then I'm done." He stopped to look at Jisoo who had discarded the long sleeve he was earlier for another."Hyung though.... "
"Jisoo hyung, are you going to be okay? Because you look like you're one outfit change away from a mental breakdown." Mingyu asked cautiously.
Jisoo stopped. "I don't know what to wear."
"Obviously." Soonyoung said lightly. "Gyu, go take a shower. I'll help hyung find something to wear.”
Jisoo looked panicked at the idea, eyes darting back and forth between his two dongsaengs. “Uhm, are you sure, Soonyoung? I would be a bit more comfortable if Mingyu stayed while deciding on my outfit.” He quickly shot the dancer an apologetic look. “No offense.”
“All the offense in the world taken, hyung.” Soonyoung said with a pout. “But I’m letting it slip as my graduation gift to you. I know I don’t really like to dress up but which one of us had to learn how to do the Windsor Knot tie while growing up?”
“A what?” Mingyu asked, eyebrows rising.
“Ask noona when you come visit.” Soonyoung said dismissively. “Point is Mingyu naturally looks good while I was trained on how to look good. So trust me, hyung.” He said seriously.
Jisoo gaped, staring at Soonyoung for a good minute before sighing. “Fine, I leave this day in your capable hands.”
Mingyu laughed at how nervous Jisoo looked, grabbing his things quickly before waving as he headed to the bathroom. “I’m ready to be amazed when I get back.”
“Oh you will be.” Soonyoung said with a determined glint in his eyes.

Mingyu had to laugh at that again, closing the door after him. He passed by the guest room to see Jihoon dressed already while Junghan was trying to figure out what to do with his hair. The youngest couldn’t help but be amused at how much effort his hyungs were putting in just for this day. Then again, it wasn’t everyday that one could graduate college so he supposed it was justified. With one amused salute, Mingyu closed the door to that room as well before finally heading to shower.

Mingyu was probably the most relaxed out of everyone. Even after taking a bath and putting on some sweatpants, he trudged to the kitchen to try and look for some light snacks while waiting for his hair to dry. He didn’t really like blow drying his hair but he supposed that Junghan was going to make him do it anyway. With that thought, he decided to finally get ready for real and to look for something to wear that wouldn’t make him look like a slob next to his hyungs.

“Woah.”  Mingyu muttered upon walking in his room.
Soonyoung beamed at him. “What did I tell you?”
Jisoo laughed shyly. “What do you think, Gyu?”
“You’re acting so much like a girl, hyung, but you look great.” Mingyu said honestly. “Now, I really have to think of what I’m going to wear.”
“Not a shirt that’s what.” Soonyoung said in a deadpan voice.

Mingyu shrugged before heading to his closet. He spared Jisoo a glance and couldn’t help but think that Soonyoung really did a good job. Seeing as Jisoo recently had his hair dyed to a soft rose pink, the older had been worried about what colors would suit his new hairstyle. Soonyoung had decided to keep it simple but it still looked amazing to Mingyu. Jisoo was wearing a punch colored long sleeve over partnered with light brown slacks. Mingyu wasn’t sure if it was all the light colors but his hyung simply looked ethereal.

“Here.” Soonyoung said before throwing something at Mingyu’s face. “I sort of expected you wouldn’t know what to wear so I just took something out of your closet. You’re welcome.”
Mingyu huffed, taking the thing away from his face. “Uhm, just this?”
“You’re handsome. Make it work.” Soonyoung said with a wave of his hand.

Mingyu looked at Jisoo for help but the older just shrugged at him, motioning for him to just wear it. The youngest sighed, wearing the gray v neck pullover that his hyung had thrown at him. He wasn’t even sure if this was his or just new since he didn’t really remember owning one. He pulled the sleeves up to his elbow to at least make it look like he was trying to look good. Before Mingyu could even open his closet again, Soonyoung had already thrown something at his face, this time a pair of ripped jeans.

“I don’t know whether to be impressed or bothered by how much effort you’re putting on here, hyung.” Mingyu said as he put on the pants.
Soonyoung rolled his eyes. “I’m doing it so you can finally confess to my best friend. Don’t tell Seungcheol or Doyoon hyung that.”
Mingyu laughed. “I’m pretty sure they already know that you claim Wonwoo as your best friend.” He grinned, grabbing his phone from the bed. “Speaking of which, I.. uhm, sort of need a favor from you, hyung.”
“Does it have anything to do with Wonwoo?” Soonyoung asked.
“Well, yeah.” Mingyu said almost shyly.
“Doesn’t everything with Mingyu these days have something to do with Wonwoo, anyway?” Jisoo said with a soft smile. “Tell us what we can do to help.”
“Oh, well, I was thinking…”
--
The concert hall where they were holding the graduation ceremony was filled to the brim. it wasn’t even the whole university but with the five departments put together, there was hardly any space to breathe. It was a good thing that Jisoo and Junghan’s departments were scheduled on the same day or they would have to go through the whole thing twice. Mingyu was just glad that the pullover was made of light material; the crowd was stifling enough as it is.

“Ugh, people.” Jihoon muttered when someone managed to jostle him yet again.
Soonyoung laughed, pulling his boyfriend closer to him. “You sound like some kind of hermit when you say that, babe.”
“Being all alone in a nice cool mountain doesn’t sound so bad right now, to be honest.” Mingyu commented, trying not to move so much.
Jihoon huffed, brushing his bangs away from his face. “I’m pretty sure there was a limit to the number of guests that one student could bring.”
“Oh, you know, people don’t really follow that anymore.” Soonyoung said lightly.
“Sorry about us then.”
Mingyu’s head snapped up, face brightening up instantly. “Wonwoo!”
“Hi, you.” Wonwoo greeted. “Sorry we didn’t follow the guidelines, Jihoon.”

Mingyu tilted his head and saw that everyone from Wonwoo’s group was there. Hansol and Chan were right behind Wonwoo with Jun and Minghao flanking their sides. Seungkwan and Seokmin were a little behind them with Doyoon clinging onto his cousin’s back, head thrown back in laughter.

“Crew’s all here, huh?” Jihoon said as he looked behind Wonwoo as well. He smiled at the others, scooting closer to Soonyoung to make more room.
“Hey, hyung.” Hansol and Chan chorused.
Mingyu was about to tease them about it when Doyoon suddenly leaped at him. “Hyung!”
“Aww, you didn’t mind when I did that before.” Doyoon said, pouting slightly.
Wonwoo rolled his eyes, standing beside Soonyoung. “Of course he didn’t.”
“Of course I did. Hyung, stop lying.” Mingyu complained.
Doyoon just winked at him before his smile turned even more evil. “Wonwoo isn’t jealous anymore. I mean, why would he when the two of you are wearing couple outfits?”
This time, it was Wonwoo who yelled indignantly, slapping Doyoon’s arm while the others laughed. “Doyoon, shut up!”

Mingyu raised an eyebrow since they didn’t have anything planned about that. Then he took a good look at what Wonwoo was wearing and realized that Doyoon was right. Wonwoo was wearing a maroon pullover with gray stripes on his torso coupled with a pair of ripped jeans. Mingyu shifted his gaze to Soonyoung, doubting that this was all accidental. His suspicion was confirmed when his hyung winked at him.

“Jealousy doesn’t suit you, hyung.” Mingyu said, throwing an arm around Wonwoo and pulled him to his side. “Besides, don’t we look cute?”
“Wonwoo is definitely cute.” Doyoon said, smirk in place. “I don’t know about you though.”
“Stop it.” Wonwoo said firmly. “You’re both so childish.”

Doyoon just laughed, ruffling Wonwoo’s hair before going back to his conversation with Seokmin and Seungkwan. Mingyu felt a sharp pinch to his side,  Wonwoo looking at him unamusedly. Mingyu just smiled back innocently, turning his head to whisper at the older’s ear.
“Sneaky, aren’t you? Making Soonyoung hyung decide on what I was going to wear today to match yours.” Mingyu whispered huskily.
As expected, Wonwoo blushed. “I only did it since you obviously had nothing to wear yet.”
“Keep telling yourself that.”
“Oh, shut up.” Wonwoo huffed, trying to pull away from Mingyu.
The younger laughed, moving his hands to the older’s waist. “Hey now, I never said I didn’t like it.”
“Then stop teasing me.” Wonwoo muttered.
“But you look so good when you’re blushing.”
Wonwoo groaned, hitting Mingyu’s hand lightly. “I hate you.”
“Pretty sure you don’t.”
"Of course not." Wonwoo agreed, bumping his head against the younger's.
"Please stop being gross." Seungkwan said, looking every bit done with the two of them. "Seriously. For just today."
Mingyu laughed, putting a bit of distance between him and Wonwoo. "Okay, okay. We'll try and tone it down a little."
"And you guys as well?" Seungkwan turned to Soonyoung and Jihoon.
"But we aren't lovey dovey." Jihoon said with a frown.
"Yes, we are!" Soonyoung pouted. "We are lovey dovey, baby."
"We are not. Compared to Wonwoo and Mingyu anyway." Jihoon argued. "Why are you even being competitive about this?"
Soonyoung sighed. "Nothing. Forget it."

Seungkwan cleared his throat nervously, loudly exclaiming on how crowded it was. Wonwoo mirrored Soonyoung's sigh, shooting Mingyu a small smile as he made his way back to Soonyoung. Luckily, Hansol started asking Jihoon about the mixtape that he was making, asking for some tips and elevating the awkward air that had surrounded them. Seokmin joined in the conversation as well, chipping in ideas. Mingyu was glad for the others since he wouldn't have known what to do if he was alone with the two.

Conversation naturally flowed between everyone. Chan was hearing the not so mythical myths of their university from Doyoon and Soonyoung, the exaggerations they were adding were pretty obvious but it looked like both Chan and Minghao were getting caught up in their tall tales. Jun was just silently listening, rolling his eyes every so often but Mingyu caught the gentle affection in the older's eyes as Jun watched Minghao's reactions.

The sudden sound of light piano playing disrupted the conversations they had going on. Everyone turned to the stage, watching as the university's chairman of the board went up the stage. The presence of the woman in front of them was enough to silence the crowd, putting some sort of control with the mass of people found there.

“Good day to all of you. Welcome to the last batch of graduates for this academic year. Even though I know that all of you are excited to leave already and celebrate this much awaited finish, I hope you bear and hold your excitement a little while longer. Today, I would like to congratulate each graduate for making it this far and earning your respective degrees. This is not the end of your journey just yet but you are all one step closer to your respective dreams. I hope all of you will fly and achieve them at your own time.” The chairman said with a proud smile. She bowed her head. “Let us begin today’s ceremony.” The audience clapped at the chairman’s words then got ready for the rest of the ceremony.

Seungcheol’s department was the first one and upon getting his name called, he had stood up, walking to the stage while his eyes were roaming around. Doyoon had stood up, hollering at the top of his voice when Seungcheol reached the stage. Seokmin yanked his cousin down when everyone around them gave them the stinky eye while Seungcheol only rolled his eyes, shaking his head. Their group clapped loudly as Seungcheol’s diploma was handed to him, Doyoon and Wonwoo standing up to take pictures. It reminded Mingyu of how his parents were during his high school graduation and was already storing that piece of information to tease Wonwoo later.

The next two departments dragged on for what felt like hours to Mingyu but it was probably because they didn’t know anyone from there. Jihoon had already pinched more than five times since his head kept lolling to the side, his body craving sleep already.

“Hyung…” Mingyu whined.
Jihoon pinched him again. “Just a few more people and it’s Junghan hyung’s turn. Stop being rude.”
Mingyu groaned but sat up a bit straighter. “Junghan hyung was the complete opposite of Jisoo hyung this morning. I thought Jisoo hyung was going to have a breakdown while getting ready.”
“Hyung? Why?”
“Beats me. Soonyoung hyung was the one to find his outfit and help him get settled.”
Jihoon huffed, fond smile playing on his lips. “Well, Soonyoung does have a weird way of making people feel calm.”
Mingyu raised an eyebrow. “You sound so smug.”
“That is my boyfriend who managed to calm Jisoo hyung down so of course, I’m going to be smug.” Jihoon said matter-of-factly.
“Whipped.” Mingyu muttered for a lack of something to say.
“Yeah, I am.” Jihoon said softly, looking at Soonyoung who was also whispering with Wonwoo. “Think he’s still upset with me?”
“He’s never upset with you for long.” Mingyu said honestly. “Wait, did you purposely rile him up earlier?”
Jihoon hummed, pinching Mingyu’s thigh again. “Maybe.” He turned to the stage. “It’s almost Junghan hyung’s turn. Focus.”
“Yoon Junghan.”

Their group clapped loudly, some taking pictures as Junghan walked to the center to get his diploma. Their clapping, however, halted when Jisoo suddenly stood up as well, walking quickly to where Junghan was. The chairman didn't look too happy with the interruption but Jisoo raised a hand, pleading with his eyes.

“Jisoo? What are you doing?” Junghan asked, looking worriedly between Jisoo and the chairman. “They could hold your diploma for this behavior.”
“I graduated with honors so I don’t think that they can.” Jisoo replied, laughing nervously. “I just have something I really need to tell you.”
“Can't it wait later?”
Jisoo let out another nervous laugh, the tinting of his cheeks becoming more prominent. “I'm really clsoe to fainting right now so no.” He took a deep breath, staring at Junghan.
Junghan frowned, cupping Jisoo’s cheek. “You look really pale right now. Are you sick? Don't tell me you're dying on our graduation day!”

And then Jisoo smiled, removing Junghan’s hand on his cheek before getting down on his knee. The whole crowd gasped but Jisoo ignored everyone else, blocking out everything that wasn't his angel. He was this for Junghan and Junghan alone.

“I guess it's pretty obvious what I'm going to do.” Jisoo started out nervously, shaking hand pulling out the velvet box from his pocket. “It was honestly so hard getting this ring without you, without anyone finding out but I managed to pull it off because I really wanted to do this. I actually had a speech written somewhere but I lost it last night when you suddenly got home and I should have memorized it by now but my mind is being dumb and isn’t really working right now. I was such a nervous wreck today and I almost backed out but I just…” Jisoo stopped, panting slightly because of how fast he was talking. He raised his eyes to see Junghan staring back at him with wide eyes. Jisoo slowly opened the box, the ring shining as it caught the light. “Junghan, you’re my angel and I’m yours and I want it to stay that way forever. Our graduation today marks the end of our journey here but I want us to start our own life together after this. Yoon Junghan, will you marry me?”
“Oh my, Jisoo. I don't know what to say. What. Why.. Why would you do this to me right now? Am I dreaming? Oh my. What do I say?” Junghan rambled on, obviously flustered from what was happening.
“Uhm, I was hoping for a yes?” Jisoo said, chuckling a bit.
Junghan’s eyes widened, taking the ring from the box. “Of course it's a yes! A hundred billion times yes!”

Jisoo let out a loud cheer, gettung up to hug Junghan in the midst of the thunderous claps of the audience. Even the chairman was clapping along, watching the two of them fondly.

Mingyu hollered, whistling to Jisoo who gave them a thumbs up. The couples had unknowingly moved closer to each other; Soonyoung had his arms around Jihoon’s body as he backhugged the younger while Mingyu and Wonwoo stood next to each other, shoulders brushing against each other's. Doyoon scoffed at the sight of suddenly being left alone in the middle but gave Jisoo a huge smile when his friend looked his way.

“Soonyoung, we got engaged first!” Jisoo said exclaimed, waving Junghan's hand with the ring on at their direction.
Soonyoung laughed. “Congratulations, hyung!”

The celebration was cut off when the chairman loudly cleared , asking Jisoo to return to his seat for the moment. Jisoo smiled at her gratefully before going back to his own department, accepting the congratulations he was receiving from his other friends.

“Are you crying?” Mingyu whispered as he heard Wonwoo sniff.
The older chuckled. “Just a bit teary eyed is all. Wow, Jisoo hyung was just so sweet back then.”
“You're such a sap.” Mingyu teased, wrapping an arm around Wonwoo’s shoulder.
“Mhm, yeah, I am.” Wonwoo said, nuzzling onto the side of Mingyu’s neck.
--
The rest of the graduation ceremony went by smoothly and quickly. There were some catcalls and whistles when Jisoo’s name was called and even the chairman had smiled wickedly at him but Jisoo didn't mind. The whole happiness he was feeling from earlier was still there and the teasings just served as even more proof that the whole thing really did happen.

It was a little difficult navigating the crowd when the ceremony ended though. The reception was quite bad as well so everyone was craning their heads to look for the others. Wonwoo found Seungcheol pretty fast and Soonyoung, Jihoon and Mingyu said their congratulations before Seungcheol was dragging the others to where his mom was waiting. Mingyu signalled at Wonwoo to check his phone later, waving until the older was gone from his sight. It took a few more minutes before they could find Jisoo and Junghan, mostly because they had turned into some celebrity couple and a thick crowd had formed around them, making it even more hard to approach them. Luckily, Junghan spotted them, pulling Jisoo to their direction while saying apologies to the crowd.

The five of them quickly looked for the nearest exit, taking a deep breath of fresh air once they made it out. After a few seconds of just breathing, they looked at each other before bursting out in laughter. Jihoon was the first to stop laughing, hugging Junghan and Jisoo tightly as he grinned brightly at them.

“Congratulations, hyungs!” Jihoon exclaimed.
Junghan smiled back. “Thanks, Jihoon ah. You look so wonderfully cute right now.”
“That's because I'm really really happy for the two of you!” Jihoon reasoned.
“I can see that.” Jisoo agreed. He smiled sheepishly as he looked at Mingyu. “Sorry, I was such a mess this morning.”
“I'd probably be the same or worse if I was in your situation so don’t worry about it. Congratulations!” Mingyu said, clapping Jisoo’s shoulder.
“Thanks.” Jisoo smiled. “Sorry to be engaged first, Soonyoung.” He teased.
“I'm going to beat your proposal. Just you wait.” Soonyoung promised before bursting into laughter again. “But for real, congratulations! Bet you're glad I made you look amazing. So many people took videos and pictures of you guys.”
Jisoo’s eyes widened. “Are you serious?!”
Junghan hummed, hugging Jisoo. “Ssh, Soonyoung. Don’t make my fiancée  worry about things like that. We just got engaged and he should just be smiling.”
“You just called me fiancée… “ Jisoo said dazedly.
Junghan chuckled, kissing Jisoo’s cheek. “Well, boyfriend seems a bit lacking now, don't you think?”
“Ugh, sap alert.” Mingyu commented but without any venom behind it. He glanced behind the couple. “I think auntie is looking for the two of you though.”
Jisoo looked back, another huge smile breaking through his face.”Mom!” He called out in English. “Celebration on Saturday, okay?” He said quickly. “I already told Mom about my plan so she wants to talk to me and Han soon.”
“Go ahead, hyung. We'll all talk later.” Jihoon said, bowing at Jisoo’s mom.

Jisoo and Junghan hugged all of them quickly before heading to Jisoo’s mother. Soonyoung started pulling on Jihoon’s hand, Mingyu following after them as they made their way across the crowd. They stopped to congratulate some of the people they knew. Jihoon was surprised when Soonyoung handed the key to his car to Mingyu.

“What's going on?” Jihoon asked.
Mingyu pocketed the key, pulling out his phone to text Wonwoo. “I'm borrowing hyung’s car.”
“And how are we getting home then?” Jihoon turned to his boyfriend.
Soonyoung shrugged. “We could walk. Or go somewhere for a date too. Everyone's being romantic and I'm feeling very left out.” He added with a pout.

To his surprise, Jihoon turned beet red at that, hand darting in his pocket before ing something into Soonyoung’s palm. Soonyoung opened his hand cautiously, eyes widening when he saw that it was a ring.

“Jihoon…. What is this…” Soonyoung asked in a shaking voice. Mingyu looked at his younger hyung. He didn't think he could take it if all of his friends suddenly became engaged in one day.
“It's a couple ring only, pabo. I'm not proposing to you. Didn't you say you were the one to do that? Seriously what did you think it could be?” Jihoon rambled, a sure sign that he was flustered.
Soonyoung nodded, slowly putting the ring on his finger. He felt the blush creep on his face as he did, liking the weight it carried. “Couple rings come in a pair, don't they? Why aren't you wearing yours then?”
“Who says I wasn't?” Jihoon scoffed, raising his hand to show that he was indeed wearing an identical ring. “Let's just go. Oh my God, why did I do this?” Jihoon muttered, speed walking to the closest exit.
“Yah, Lee Jihoon!” Soonyoung called out, a small bubble of laughter bursting from his lips. “Oh my God, my fairy is just all sorts of surprising huh?” He patted Mingyu’s forearm. “Take care of my baby and go get your man, alright? I have to chase after my fairy.” He began to run to where Jihoon disappeared. “Fairy, come on! Stop!”

Mingyu shook his head in amazement. He sat down on the hood of the car, waiting for Wonwoo to reply. A few minutes passed without any replies and Mingyu was getting worried. Was the reception still horrible? Maybe he should have called Wonwoo instead. Just as he was about to do so, he saw someone walking towards him.

“Oh, hey, Seungcheol hyung.” Mingyu said as he got up. “Have you seen Wonwoo?”
“He’s somewhere behind me. I think he spotted someone he knew from somewhere. I don’t really know but he was stopped somewhere.” Seungcheol shrugged. He looked at Soonyoung’s car, eyebrows raising. “This yours?”
“Nah, it's Soonyoung hyung's. I'm just borrowing it for tonight.”
“Going all out for Wonwoo, huh? I like that.” Seungcheol smiled. He stared at Mingyu before sighing, “Take good care of Wonwoo for me, okay? I already asked Doyoon but you're going to be spending more time with him. I’m going to take a plane back here the moment I find out you made him cry.”
Mingyu nodded seriously. “You don't have anything to worry about, hyung. I already learned my lesson.”
“That's good then.” Seungcheol nodded. “I'm leaving him in your trust then.”
“Why do you sound so serious? You just graduated. Relax.” Wonwoo said as he approached them. He noticed the car Mingyu was leaning on. “How are Jihoon and Soonyoung getting home then?”
“One way or another.” Mingyu grinned. He bowed at Seungcheol. “We have to leave now, hyung. We're sort of running on a schedule.”
Seungcheol chuckled. “Okay, have fun. Won, remember our outing next week.”
“He isn't kidnapping me somewhere.” Wonwoo chuckled, waving at the older. “Don’t let Doyoon walk Hansol home please.”
“No promises.” Seungcheol smiled deviously.

Wonwoo just rolled his eyes, climbing in the car after Mingyu. The two of them waved at Seungcheol as he stood there, watching the car drive away. Wonwoo looked out the window as they drove out the campus. The lights all along the campus were lit up for the graduation and it looked beautiful.

“So, where are we going?” Wonwoo asked as he closed the window.
Mingyu made a vague hand gesture. “Just somewhere.”

Wonwoo raised an eyebrow but he knew that Mingyu wouldn't budge so he just gave up on it. Being familiar with Soonyoung’s car already, he quickly set up the music that he and Mingyu liked. The younger seemed to like it, bobbing his head along to the beat of the song or even singing along some.

It wasn't outlandish and some might not even find it romantic but Wonwoo genuinely enjoyed moments like this. Wonwoo was generally quiet and he appreciated the fact that Mingyu was someone that he could share the peace with.

“Why are you sighing so dreamily?” Mingyu's voice snapped him out of his daze.
Wonwoo smiled, shaking his head. “Just thinking.” He looked out of the car. “Mingyu…”
“Yes?”
“… I may be wrong but aren't we at McDonald’s?”
“Yes, we are.”

Wonwoo blinked rapidly, looking to see if Mingyu was joking but the younger had already gotten out of the car and was walking inside. The older had no choice but to follow after Mingyu, huffing a bit as he walked inside. He wasn't expecting a five star restaurant but he still expected a bit more than this. Mingu continue to be oblivious to Wonwoo’s dilemma, pursing his lips as if in deep thought. Wonwoo sighed, choosing to just it up.

“What are you getting?” Wonwoo asked.
“A box of nuggets, fries and burgers.” Mingyu replied. “What do you want to drink?”
“Are you eating all that on your own?”
Mingyu chuckled. “Of course not. That's already both our orders.”
“Oh, good.” Wonwoo answered. “In that case then, I want Coke.”
“And two Cokes. Got it.” Mingyu hummed. “It's a little hot here. Why don’t you just wait in the car?”
“Oh, wait so, this isn't our destination?” Wonwoo asked to make sure.
Mingyu laughed, eyebrows raised mockingly. “Baby, I'm more romantic than McDonald’s.”
“I was just making sure!” Wonwoo huffed, hitting Mingyu’s arm. “Get me a choco sundae too since you're being mean. I'll wait in the car.”

Wonwoo could still hear Mingyu’s laughter even as he headed out. He rolled his eyes at the younger's behavior but a part of him was more than relieved to know that their date wasn't just going to be in McDo. Jisoo had proposed to Junghan in the middle of their graduation after all. Mingyu could at least learn some romance from there.
--
Mingyu couldn't stop teasing Wonwoo during the rest of their drive. Even after he had given the older his sundae, Mingyu continued to poke fun at the older for thinking that their date would be at a fastgokd chain. Wonwoo had just stuck out his tongue before focusing on eating his sundae. Though when Mingyu thought about it, it seemed like the joke was on him. Was he really that unromantic for Wonwoo?

“Yah, do I at romance that much?” Mingyu asked, parking their car at their final stop.
Wonwoo shrugged, too busy looking around to really pay him any attention. “Where are we?”
“Baaabe, I asked you a question.” Mingyu whined.
Wonwoo stilled, looking at the younger. “Of course you're romantic, baby. Are you still making fun of me because of earlier?”
“I'm not anymore. It's just… How could you think our date would be there?”
“Gyu, we actually went on a date there before, remember?”
“It was at three in the morning! Where else could we eat?” Mingyu exclaimed.
Wonwoo laughed. “Exactly. Neither you nor I complained back then. It was three in the morning but you dragged your out of bed and came to eat with me. That's already plenty romantic for me.”
Mingyu stared at the older, wondering if Wonwoo was serious and saw that the other was. Tne younger huffed, playing with his bangs as he felt himself starting to blush. “You're such a sap. Aren't you ashamed by what you say?”
“You like my sappiness. And my words always make you blush so I think I'm the real winner here.” Wonwoo teased, laughing lightly.
Mingyu made some choking sound, glaring slightly at the older when Wonwoo just laughed at him even more.
“But your adorable laughter aside, where are we? Did you bring us in the middle of nowhere just to eat? Because you should know that Soonyoung doesn't like getting crumbs in his car. He's very… Clean about his car.” Wonwoo said, frowning as he stared at the dashboard.

Mingyu chuckled, knowing all about how careful his hyung was about his car. He playfully tapped Wonwoo’s nose to get his attention, getting out of the car first. He opened the back door, reaching for the bags of food they had gotten. They made a quick stop at a convenience store before heading to where they were. Mingyu also pulled out the backpack he had prepared earlier.

“Ah.” Wonwoo smiled as he saw the things in Mingyu’s hands. He grabbed the McDo plastic bag. “Picnic under the moonlight. How very romantic, Kim.”
“All the best for you, Jeon.” Mingyu grinned, locking the door before offering his free hand to the older. “Let's go?”

Mingyu’s grin got even wider as he saw Wonwoo blushing. It was always cute how the smallest things could make Wonwoo blush and Mingyu wouldn't have it any other way. There were some streetlights by entrance of the park and he felt it when Wonwoo realized where they were. Mingyu just laughed when Wonwoo hit his arm.

“You're making me climb a mountain?!” Wonwoo exclaimed as he read the sign.
Mingyu hummed, tracing the sign for Mt. Bukhansan. “I'm not making you a climb a mountain. I'm telling you that my ideal date spot is on the peak of this mountain.”
“Isn't it like a 2 hour climb up?!”
“More or less, yes.” Mingyu nodded. He had expected Wonwoo to be against the idea so he sighed, putting on the saddest expression he could muster. “Don't you want to let me have my perfect date?”
“My date ideas were a date at the bar, coffee dates, fair dates…. Why is yours climbing a mountain?” Wonwoo wondered helplessly. The older tried to glance away but Mingyu kept ducking down to his line of sight as he kept on pouting. “Fine, fine, fine! Stop pouting.”
Mingyu grinned, quickly kissing Wonwoo. “Thank you, thank you! You won't regret it.”
“I better not.” Wonwoo huffed but Mingyu could still see the blush on the older’s face. Wonwoo looked at the mountain before sighing. “Let's get started then.”
--
Wonwoo started getting sulky after they had climbed for about an hour already. Mingyu tried to behave, knowing that the older was very touchy once he started sulking but a few teases made their way out which earned him half hearted glares from Wonwoo.

“I think I might actually hate you. Like seriously.” Wonwoo muttered, taking the bottle of water Mingyu had offered.
Mingyu chuckled, brushing back the older’s fringe. “It'll be worth it at the end, I promise.” He took out his handkerchief, wiping the sweat on the other’s forehead. “Come on. We're almost there according to the signs.”
“Carry me then?”

Mingyu nodded, amusement evident in his features as he turned his back on the older. He made sure that Wonwoo had already picked up the bags before standing up. Mingyu shifted a bit, centering the older's weight properly before he started walking again. It was almost alarming how light the other was. But by now, Mingyu knew better than to comment about it. Weight was a strangely touchy subject for Wonwoo so the younger simply made sure that the older ate on time.

“Thanks.” Wonwoo said once they had reached the top, gently hopping down from Mingyu’s back. He handed the water bottle to Mingyu, smiling fondly as the younger chugged it down. “You make it sound like climbing is a piece of cake but you're tired too.”
“Of course I am. I'm human, love.” Mingyu responded cheekily. He took a seat on one of the benches there. Luckily, they were the only ones there. Perfect.
“I can't believe you managed to carry me.” Wonwoo groused as he looked back at the path that they had taken to climb there. He looked back at Mingyu. “Have you been spending more time in the gym than you're telling me?”
Mingyu smirked, shrugging as he finally caught his breath. “You can't prove anything.” He got back up on his feet, pointing to grassy part of the peak. “Help me set things up.”
Wonwoo chuckled, following after him. “Making me climb a mountain and asking me to help you set up? What kind of a date is this?”
“A date that will knock your breath out later.” Mingyu promised, winking at the older. He took the bags from Wonwoo, carefully dropping them on the ground. Opening the backpack, he pulled out a pair of shirts, handing one to Wonwoo. “I figured that we would get sweaty while climbing so I got these ready.”
“Good thinking.” Wonwoo said as he looked at the shirt. “Uhm, do I just change here?”
“No one else is here.”
“You're here.”
“Babe, we're already past that point, don't you think?”
Wonwoo blushed. “S-shut up. Just… Go look at that tree. Or something.”

Mingyu chuckled, turning his attention back to setting up their small picnic. It wasn't that impressive, the first blanket he saw and their takeout from McDonald’s and the convenience store. It certainly wasn't a five star dinner but having the whole place to themselves made it more romantic, even just for a bit.

“Done.” Wonwoo said as he took a seat across Mingyu, folding his shirt and putting it in the backpack.
Mingyu nodded. “Looks good.” He leaned back, removing his shirt to replace it with the one he brought when he felt a slap to his back. “Ow! Yah!”
Wonwoo was blushing fully, head turned away. “Give me a warning before you start stripping.”
Mingyu laughed, kissing Wonwoo’s neck. “Love, you have literally seen all of me. Why are you acting shy about it now?”
“Look who's saying embarrassing things now.” Wonwoo groaned. “Just…. Whatever. You're done anyway.”
The younger hummed, fixing his shirt. “You can look now. Wait, no. Look around you.”

Mingyu wait until Wonwoo did, eyes transfixed on the older. And the sight was beautiful. Mingyu had already been here before but for someone who was here for the first time, the view was more than breathtaking. Mt. Bukhansan was famous for its complete view of Seoul and it did not disappoint. Mingyu had gone up here before when it was morning and a part of him was wondering how the same sight could look so different at night. The different colors of Seoul’s nightlife were glimmering, shining beautifully from this distance. Mingyu was sure that there should have been smoke blocking out the view but everything was clear from this height.

Mingyu’s heart swelled as Wonwoo gasped, the older getting up again as he completely dug in to the beauty of Seoul. Mingyu couldn’t take his eyes off Wonwoo though, caught in a trance at how the other seemed to glow on his own from his delight. Knowing that he was the one to bring this joy to Wonwoo made Mingyu feel even more lightheaded.

“I had doubts when you brought me here but I have to say I'm impressed, Kim.” Wonwoo smiled playfully.
Mingyu winked. “All the best like I said just for you, Jeon.” He patted the space between his legs. “Sit. I'm starving and I know that you probably are too.”

Wonwoo nodded, occupying the space for him as Mingyu handed him the snacks that they had brought along. As they were eating, the younger recounted how nervous Jisoo was this morning, grinning as Wonwoo laughed along to his story. The older also let out an impressed whistle when Mingyu mentioned about what Jihoon did.

“Soonyoung must be over the moon then.” Wonwoo commented, leaning back against Mingyu’s chest.
Mingyu chuckled. “He looked like he didn't know whether to cry or laugh about it.”
“You're all being very romantic tonight, hm? It's pretty adorable. Did you guys talk about it?”
“No, we were all very shocked when Jisoo hyung proposed. And Jihoon hyung… Well, you can never really tell with him.”
“Jihoon riling Soonyoung up on purpose is a sign. But seriously wow to Jisoo hyung. That was so romantic.” Wonwoo sighed happily. “Are they going to get married soon?”
“I completely have no idea but I’m sure we’ll know once they decide a date. I think Jisoo hyung needs more time to wrap his head around the fact that he’s engaged now.” Mingyu answered, kissing the top of Wonwoo’s head.
“I’m sure Hansol’s going to hear it first. Jisoo hyung really likes him.” Wonwoo commented before letting out a yawn. “Well, food’s all gone and I’m sleepy. Let’s go home?”
Mingyu shook his head, holding the other tighter in his arms. “Wait, I don’t want to go just yet.” He glanced at the sky. “Just wait a bit more, please?”
Wonwoo frowned, checking the time on his phone. “Babe, it's sort of getting late and I don't want to trek down when it's really dark. Plus we just left a Ferrari in the parking lot.” He looked back at Mingyu. “I can just sleep over at your place if you'd like?”
“Well… Yeah, I would like that but please just wait.” Mingyu stammered out, looking up at the sky.
Wonwoo followed his line of vision. “What are you staring at?”
Mingyu opened his mouth to answer, closing it shut when a streak by the corner of his eye caught his attention. He smiled, getting up and tugging on Wonwoo’s hand. “That.”

Mingyu pointed at the sky, watching as the darkness got broken down by the flashes of light raining down from it. He heard Wonwoo gasp beside him and Mingyu had to tesr his gaze away from the meteor shower to watch the older. The streaks of light from the heavens illuminated Wonwoo’s features, shadows and lights playing across the other’s face. Mingyu almost felt like he was choking on how much he was feeling at that moment.

“Make a wish on each of them.” Mingyu whispered. “I promised you so much before and then I made you cry. This time, I wanted to promise you the stars. I couldn't take you to the clouds to personally take them so I just made them fall for you.” He smiled when Wonwoo giggled, lacing their fingers together. “But since they're already falling as it is, I want to use each one of them to make you happy, to grant you your wishes. Go ahead and say them. I'm sure they'll hear you and grant them.”
Wonwoo grinned, pointing at the falling stars. “I want Mingyu to hug me.”
Mingyu chuckled, quickly complying as he enveloped the other in a tight hug.
“I want to tell Mingyu that I feel like crying because of how happy I am right now.”
Mingyu shook his head, pressing soft kisses on Wonwoo’s eyelids. “That isn't a nice wish, pabo.”
Wonwoo smiled, looking up at Mingyu as he smiled softly. “I want Mingyu to tell me how he feels about me.”
“I love you. I truly, deeply, honestly love you very, very much.” Mingyu whispered, leaning down to press their foreheads together.
“I love you too. So so much.” Wonwoo whispered back. “I want to make Mingyu very happy, just as happy as he makes me feel.”
Mingyu pulled Wonwoo even closer. “Be my star then. Fall from the heavens and into my arms. I’ll hold you up in my sky so you can always shine as bright as you do. I know I'm asking a lot but I want you to be mine, Wonwoo. For real this time. Be my boyfriend.”
Mingyu could feel the older tense up before the tension slowly ebbed out, Wonwoo’s body becoming pliant and soft against his. “Oh, Mingyu. Of course I’ll be yours. I already am and have been for a long time.” Wonwoo said sincerely.
Mingyu chuckled softly. “Any other wishes?”
“Yeah, I want my boyfriend to kiss me.”
“Anything you want, my star.”

A.    N: and it is done. Wow. It feels like… I don't know. Maybe it hasn't really sunk in yet. Maybe later as I click the ‘mark as complete’. Omg,
I am sorry for the late update. The original update got deleted and it was horrible and I nearly sobbed. :(

Thank you for all the wonderful support that you have given this fic for the past year. I still can't believe that I had a fic that was going on for a year. I was really really shocked by the huge amount of support I have had for this especially when it got featured. I still remember how happy I was on that day!!  This is the longest fic I have ever written and though, it has a lit of mistakes and is really lacking, all you guys still continued to support and read it. So for that, thank you from the deepest part of my heart.xx <3

I don't know if I will be writing a new multichapter fic for svt soon. Im currently doing a oneshot collection which will consist of both canon and my own share of rare pairings but as for a multichapter one… I am still unsure. I do have fic ideas but I need to flesh them out first and I sort of have something else I wanted to write first for another group.

I don’t really know what else to say except you guys are all very awesome and I love each and every single one of you!!! Thank you for putting up with me. Love you all.xx <3

P.S: there will be small… Uhm bonus chapters I guess for this fic so don’t unsubscribe just yet! They’ll probably be very short though.
P.P.S: this isnt svt related but the boys are close with them so, I hope it’s okay. I hope you guys could check out Monsta X’s Fighter MV. The boys really deserve a win and I know it’s going to be hard with their competition but any help will be great. Oh and watch the live!!! The boys did not disappoint!

Once again, thank you so very much. Lets all meet again!! <3 <3
